thank f*ck this is over. i was bored out of my mind & when the scene with the older brother wooing Ben came on i lost interest totally. like plz as if he's at fault for not falling for Ben cause Ben fell for him. that b.s. exist only in BL's where it's somehow justified. in real life Singha wouldn't be going after Ben cause he isn't a good friend - why would be a better partner - also what if Singha was never gay? he gotta force himself cause Ben fell for him??? so this BL b.s. writing & the rest of this ep was more of the same - i didn't need the NC scene which i skipped & the only thing i can say is i am so freakin happy this is over cause even when i think this is good somehow it turns into crap - sorry not sorry - this was so bad that even North (my MVP) couldn't save this trainwreck. peace out -

Plot twist after plot twist... and 2026 arrives

Wow, I didn't expect the twist about the brothers! And adding Wen's mother to the mix, Xixiao's father becomes the father of all three of them... in a way? šŸ¤”šŸ™„But Wen's mother boils my blood. To take all the father's money and leave a child to take care of her grandmother? Then to not even send money to pay for anything her child might need, and even now to say that Wen is not understanding her? I want to hear her reasons, really, because I can't imagine any that could justify her actions in this situation. Maybe I could accept it if it was to protect Wen in some way, maybe, but I don't know. Also, whose mother is the grandmother—the father's? 😩🧐Xixiao making that arrow necklace to fit Wen's bow... it's so cute. šŸ¤— Sadly, he never got to give it to her... yet.But as for the time jump, I can't express much shock because I suspect this wasn't the ultimate one. I believe their story will be covered by showing events in both timelines—events of what happened in the past in 2016 and then what is happening now in 2026, until they finally reach the point where the past is explained. And they will probably do that in parallel. It wouldn't be the first time a story is told that way. 🤨

they don’t know what they’re doing but they do want to do something

’ ’ I’m not crying ,am i ļ¼Ÿā€™ ’ that conversation made me change a lot of my tunes about this episode. i had a lot of problems with counter±intuitive structuring that made the first scene of what feels like the major antagonist mean nothing because it’s just plopped in. it’s also hard to invest myself in setsuna & reiji because it’s a bit shallow. we actually aren’t doing much of anything this episode ,the main focus should be on understanding setsuna but we just dilly±dally running time on a bunch of other stuffs. I’m not referring to anything with the galaxy federal police though because the agi bits & expositories are fun along with that permission request & grant segment. & this is a bummer because setsuna & reiji have a very fascinating relationship to me of the radical optimist meeting somepony who isn’t mean he’s just physically cold from inexperience of intimacy as somepony who feels ’ ’ lesser ’ ’ to humans & he acts to uphold the authority that he is hired to do. he has a lot of fascinating stuff thjey just don’t know how to execute it or get you to care. tgis show also feels incredibly amateurā˜†ish in direction ?there’s like a lot of genuinely terrible shots that don’t look good & are just awkward.

Dealing with exes and family matters

Qian Fei is surprised YiFei wants the other ticket. It took some bargaining, but he pretended massive interest to get her to go with him. He tries to get closer and the closest he gets is taking photos with comedian for her. She noted that she was not at her best in any of the photos.šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚ There is a fun exchange over name meanings. šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚Dang Yu and Ms Jun have a dance off. šŸ˜ Ms Jun is very forward trying to get the most people to her class. Dang Yu more kindly recommends Ms Jun’s class and they end up in same cab leaving studio. Ms Jun wants Dang Yu dropped off first, but that is refused. No need to give the mom another point to find fault with or place to spy on. Again Dang Yu tries to share the love of dance from her hometown, and again, Ms Jun has to imply or flat out say Shanghai is superior. From that YiFei gets a call and pretends he is going out with Jin. Where he’s really headed is Wang’s place. Wang has just chatted with his dad and his mom is in emergency surgery. She learned they had broken up and this resulted in finding a clogged artery that needed immediate attention. He turns this into a a call to accuse and berate Qian Fei for fake concern about his mother. He’s still admonishing her when YiFei tells him to hang up. He is unaware Qian Fei is on the other end of the call. He and Wang get in a fight. Wang was found guilty of doing sneaky things behind YiFei’s back and using Qian Fei as a steppingstone to further his career, two things Yi Fei hates most. He tells Wang to leave Qian Fei alone or a beating the least of his worries. Now that Wang’s mother is recovering after a successful surgery, will he go home battle scarred or make excuse to stay in the city. Lu Ze goes to find JingJing and again he disappoints. He really doesn’t want to talk to her about what went wrong. He tells her he shutdown his company and will not see his product through to launch. This child of his was dumped when grit was required to see it through and support it. JingJing has already seen him devalue her once when things got hard for him. After saying he wouldn’t stick by his dream and sees he wants to be with her, his proposal did feel hollow compared to the first one. She sadly told him that rich or poor didn’t matter, she did not want to marry him. JingJing calls Qian Fei for girl support and Qian Fei tells YiFei their eggplant dinner is cancelled and to not wait up. She told him to have fun with his gf. YiFei is definitely pouty after this and the friends he’s been ghosting are now expected to party it up with him. The more the merrier. This episode showed Mr Liao saying one thing and reacting opposite with his daughter. Wang initially wanted to push a response from the hotel and now changed his tune to do internal fixes and public promotions but to keep public statement neutral. Mr Liao isn’t particularly happy with how his daughter is running things, but does not contradict her directly.YiFei definitely wants Qian Fei to know he’s interested, but he doesn’t tell her directly. She is either truly unaware or choosing to ignore the hints. These two šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ™„

A fractured mind

I still don't know exactly what happened to the Masters and students of Li Academy, but Ye Li was alone for many years. Her mind couldn't deal with being alone and she made believe everyone was still around, teaching her medicine, martial arts and more. She foraged for food, relied on rain for water and just survived, fueled with her plans for revenge. Her mind is so fractured. When confronted with the truth that there's no one but her left, she's unable to accept it. Prince Ding has promised yet again never to leave her alone. This time, I hope he is sincere and can keep his word.

The people of Lishan Academy

A very good episode. 🌟 Xiuyao realised what has happened with A'Li, and how she has been living in the Lishan Academy.😌That scene where the eunuch (I forgot his name) kept asking where everyone is, pointing as if she was intentionally lying, was frustrating. 😤 I am so grateful to Xiuyao for shouting at him to shut him up, yet that didn't really change anything, because now he has gone back to the capital to inform the Empress Dowager. šŸ™„But all of that actually leads to thinking: was it really an ordered massacre of the Lishan Academy, or maybe something entirely different wiped it out? šŸ¤”That scene at the end where A'Li prepared a meal for all the members of Lishan Academy and introduced them to her husband, and him to them... I can't even describe how heavy my heart got for her and her mental state. 🄺🤧 A'Yao acted along as if everything she sees is true... And that makes me wonder—if and how they will set her mind back to a normal state? šŸ¤” Either she heals just by being surrounded with living people, specifically Xiuyao, and eventually forgets about these delusions while he gradually feeds her the information that they died, or it might be some very traumatic shock moment that just takes her back to the moment where she lost them all, making her realise what has happened. šŸ˜”

Argument Scene

The scene where Neen and Runch argue is full of emotions. There’s a Thai thing where the couple call themselves as Nong and Phi as an endearment. Then there is Khun and Chun of You and I in a more stranger way. Neen use Khun and Chun to refer herself and to Runch but when the argument gets too emotional, she started to go back and forth from calling Runch as Phi and Nong. It really portrayed how Neen loves Runch so much that even when she try to put up walls to protect her feelings after being said Divorce from her wife, in heated argument, her real feelings/Love comes forward.

i fully stood still when That lady gaga song played omfg 怂

i like how they’re unraveling. i think each member of the fsmily is being placed forward perfectly. a lot of their problems aren’t something that can easily be patched in fortyi+five minutes so i like their approach with taking their time to have mabo take them in slowly. i also do like how they’re handling mabo. i think his sage dropping by every so often to remind him to try to be a person is nice. this is a slow part of the show so it keeps us focused on the grieving people & i did enjoy the mother & daughter in+laws.

They are back to normal, yeey

I wonder who wiped the whiteboard? Was it a targeted sabotage? šŸ¤ØšŸ¤” Even I saw this possibility that it might be erased and she would lose all her night's work. Oh, that silly girl! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø At least Yifei took photo of them and could save the day for her. What would she do without him, eh? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøI am glad they talked and resolved that issue with "using", which means they returned to their old cozy selves—the way I like them the most. šŸ¤— And those Yifei's answers to Gui Lili from Fei's phone... šŸ˜‚ And kudos to Zhao De for reading the room. Yeah.... card in his office. 🤭Jun Cheng's parents are the worst... I will complain yet again how they don't have any boundaries. If they expect that to be a comedy-like move—well, it isn't. 😩

Agh. The writing just went into the toilet.

The writers have just leaned heavily into the stupid, most-annoying drama trope of, "Noble Idiocy" -- Yuan Shuai proceeds to take on all the burdens, lets himself get framed, pushes everyone away and declines to explain or share what he's doing. "Gives up on their love" for the "greater good". And for no F'ing good reason. This is a cheap, stereotypical plot gimmick that is among the most hated by fans (for good reason). It requires huge truckloads of plot-induced stupidity. The 'break up' with Jiang Jun is unbelievably stupid. It is obvious to us viewers that he's performing a scheme and it makes no sense that he had to keep her in the dark for what he's doing. There are lots of ways for him to have carried out this ruse while not hurting her. Doing it this way is just stupid and unnecessary and shows a lack of trust - right after he had just promised her he would not lie to her. And he's also breaking his promise to both her father and mother to not be the reason she cries. This is not the Yuan Shuai of the last 26 episodes. This is a plot-twisted version derived out of nowhere by the writers just to create some drama. Sigh ... having come this far, I'll gut it out until they bring the plot past this stupidity and hope they finish the series with a better arc. Just very disappointed in the writers right now.

With this speed soon there won't be any antagonist left

All the annoying ladies are getting punished, which means we will soon be out of antagonists. Could that mean something big is coming? Also, Yuan Shen joining the imperial court probably means he will become a more regular fixture in all of their affairs. Maybe he'll be the one to stir the waters for Buyi and Shaoshang? šŸ¤”But Shaoshang and Buyi are so smitten with each other! I can't ignore those smiles, those gazes... šŸ¤šŸ„°šŸ¤—And, lol, "a few small items"—and Buyi empties Shaoshang's room completely! šŸ˜‚

Easily one of the best episode so far!

Wow. Jiang Jun's mom is sweet... but the way she made Yuan Shuai drink all that wine was a total power dominance move. So smooth and cold-hearted. I guess she really needed to make it clear that she may forgive him - and accept that he did not really mean to cause harm - but the pain and trauma the family had endured was real and doesn't just go away regardless of forgiveness. So she needed to make an impression on him. JJ's mom (played by veteran actress Hu Xiao Ting) just takes over and dominates this episode. She's so good!

The best takedown! Bravo!

Oh, what an episode! 🤩I loved how Shaoshang and her mother both took Buyi and his mother's side against Madam Chunyu. She, of course, couldn't tolerate that "humiliation" and ran to the Old Princess Consort Ruyang. But their attempt to ruin the engagement party backfired on them heavily, thanks to the brilliant teamwork between Shaoshang, Buyi, the Emperor, and both of his wives. Bravo! No other words needed. šŸ‘šŸ„³P.S. AND we got a kiss! Every man should master Buyi's method of how to shut his beloved's mouth when she's saying things he doesn't want to hear. 🄰🤭
