The death toll keeps rising.

Typical of c-drama plots, as we near the end, the villains keep winning and the good guys keep losing. Another awful death as Yun Xiang is forced to deliver poison to his best friend Mo in order to trick Fu into trusting Yun Xiang. Meanwhile, NanGong Fang and Kuo Yaun Je plot to take out Madam Kuo and Kuo Lianyi (YaNan). Unfortunately, the writers dip once gain into their most irritatingly lazy plot-device again by having Lianyi poisoned by the stupid 'Heart Devouring' poison. This poison is so stupidly OP and it's just absurd that they have included it as a plot gimmick. Its mere presence in the story earlier already seriously downgrades the story quality and the writers using it yet once again at this point, for this purpose, is extremely disappointing.

hu xiu continues to show her strength

i am actually so glad hu xiu revealed she was that weasel's ex fiancee. i thought it would be some bs where she doesn't say anything to show how "nice" she is or whatever. i do wish she had said it before the ceremony tho lol

Crazy Is in Town — sleeping pills, trauma hints, and triangle vibes

Episode 8 brings the FL’s “character” out in full force and, honestly, I was a little scared for the ML. For a second I thought we were heading into full killer mode. Instead, she’s basically delivering a warning: stay away from the FL if you know what’s best for you.The ML assumes she’s just acting strange (and still acting), but the reality hits the next morning when he realises she drugged him with sleeping pills. Since he’s promised never to see her again, he starts looking for a replacement interpreter… until he clocks that something isn’t right. She’s different. It becomes clearer that this “character” isn’t just a random quirk. It feels like past trauma has shaped her into someone who can’t cope as herself, so she relies on this persona to get things done. It’s sad, messy, and oddly fascinating.I’m still a little confused about why her character targets/picks her co-star, but it definitely injects extra chaos into the mix. And now it looks like the co-star is falling for her… and the ML is too. She’s telling him to stay away, yet he’s completely drawn to her and is determined to figure out how to make the character disappear. The episode ends with strong love triangle energy, plus the FL’s disorientation hits hard — she closes her eyes and opens them in Italy like her brain is skipping chapters. We also learn her relatives may have a connection to her parents’ death, and with her character in full force, it’s genuinely satisfying to see her being less of a pushover. This episode makes it feel like the romance is becoming the least controllable part of the story — especially when the FL’s “character” is both a shield and a ticking time bomb.

Me and Thee Episode 4

My favorite episode of the show!

I don't usually review episodes but I've been thinking about how episode 4 deserves it's own review. I was very excited for the show, but what happened in episode 4 was different from anything I read in the novel, and I think it was so so so important to develop and connect the rest of the story, to me the way Peach brings Thee to his reality is amazing and well done. It's my favorite episode of the show, and that's a lot considering how much I loved the other episodes too!

The Honeymoon Stage — safety threats, cozy nesting, and secrets brewing

Episode 22 feels like the honeymoon stage on the surface, but there’s tension humming underneath everything. After returning from their weekend trip, the ML connects the dots and realises the RL’s father has put someone on the FL — she’s being followed. The ML talks the FL into staying at his place because he’s worried something will happen to her, and while I understand his instinct to protect, I’m also a little disappointed that he doesn’t just tell her the full truth: this is about her safety. Keeping her in the dark feels like a choice that’s going to backfire. The ML confronts the RL and makes it clear what’s happening. The RL promises to protect her… but honestly, he can’t even protect himself. He confronts his father, gets slapped again, and then the RL’s father drops a line that changes everything: doesn’t he know who the FL’s father is? So there’s clearly a deeper connection between them that we still don’t fully understand.Meanwhile, we get the softer side: the FL starts making herself at home, turning the ML’s cold apartment into something warmer and more lived-in. It’s domestic, gentle, and honestly really sweet. She even finds a photo of the ML and his father, gets him a frame, and tells him that when he’s ready, she wants to hear everything. That moment hit.But the ML is still dragging his feet about his father, and I can’t shake the feeling it’s going to blow up in his face later. And then there’s the ML’s mother… who somehow keeps “helping” in ways that make everything worse. She’s the one who accidentally put the RL’s father onto the FL in the first place, and now she thinks it’s a great idea to set the ML up on a blind date. Her efforts always seem to come with consequences for either the ML or the RL.This episode is sweet on the surface, but it feels like all the secrets and family connections are quietly lining up for a very messy fallout.

All work and no play — a not-so-romantic getaway, bruised hearts, and old ghosts

Episode 21 starts with a fun setup after a busy period of collaboration between the club and the coffee shop. The ML’s best friend suggests a weekend away, and the FL’s best friend agrees — on the condition that the FL and ML come too. A party of four. The only problem? No one actually tells the ML. So he turns up to pick up the FL thinking they’re about to have a romantic weekend away… only to discover it’s very much not that. The comedy of that reveal lands perfectly.I also loved the dynamic between the ML’s best friend and the FL’s best friend. They bring out the best in each other, and their banter adds so much warmth to the episode. We also get a nice little clarification that the ML’s best friend isn’t actually a playboy, despite all the teasing. On the RL side, he’s wearing his heart on his sleeve when he tries to get closer to the FL. She gently rejects him, and what follows is brutal: he goes home and his father hits him. The RL truly can’t catch a break, and for a moment, I really felt for him.Meanwhile, the ML is still digging into the past and finally finds a connection — enough to make him want to gamble and take a risk to get answers faster. He’s constantly pulled back to memories of his father: the piano gifted to him that he never learned to play, and the accident at the observatory stirring up the night his father died. This episode balances light-hearted group chaos with a heavier undercurrent, reminding us that even when life tries to move forward, the past doesn’t always let you.

Heartfelt confession came at the right time!!

Such a good episode!! Finally getting to know what was going on with Wooseong, and it was so heartbreaking! He just wanted to save the group from being ruined, didn't want Raik to further worsen his health. This show's emotional aspects really hit in all the right places. I feel so bad for him, especially when that one OST that usually plays when Raik is thinking about Wooseong or Jaehee played. I'm glad Hye-joo had a proper goodbye with Raik. Although that scene of her crumpling the photo says that it's not the last we've seen of her. She may or may not go yandere. But at this point in the story, I really feel bad for her (though I still think she didn't have to verbally hurt him that bad, even if her dad told to break up with him). And finally we have the best part of the episode! More bonding moments between Raik and Sena. Their conversations feel so real, Sena in particular, is so good with words to comfort and heal Raik. No wonder he fell for her the way he did, because he has been able to clearly see her sincerity in liking him as he is. I am worried he's walking around not wearing any disguise, I get that he's just being a passerby but...I'm just worried it would be bad for Sena. Hanging out with your ex-client is one thing, but apparently in the preview they find out she's a "murderer's daughter" so that's even worse ripAnyways, absolutely loved the confession scene. It came at a good time, of course Raik could not hold in his feelings if Sena was going on about how cute he was, how she likes him being himself. He's always wanted someone to see him for who he is, not the image he presented. Sena casually saying "like" about 2-3 times to him was bound to get his hopes up. We haven't gotten Sena's monologue since episode 4 when she said she misses the time when she could like him from afar, so whether she has romantic feelings for Raik is still pretty vague but I like that her feelings aren't as clear as day like Raik is. Because she's always been someone whose closed off, only fangirling was something she could be obvious about, and even that only happened at home, not at work. So now that she's let go of fangirling, we're seeing her subdued side even more. At this point in the story, I do think she's attracted to him (obviously) but feeling attracted to someone and wanting to actually date or be with them are 2 different things, especially for Sena who believed true love was loving from a distance. She's never been in a romantic relationship, and she's helped Raik sincerely this whole time, not expecting anything in return. I imagine Raik liking her romantically was something unthinkable to her until his confession. She probably will need time to think about it. Anyways I'm loving the pacing so far. I know we wanna find our culprit badly but most murder mysteries have the culprit show up pretty late right? So I expected this kind of pacing. I'm in no hurry, we only got 3 episodes left though, so I hope Raik x Sena have at least one episode of full blown romantic dating era, after the whole case is settled and they can be happy freely.

A Delightful Blend of Heart, Humor, and Chemistry

Spring Fever continues to cement itself as one of the most uplifting romantic comedies on television with Episode 5, delivering not only the heart-fluttering emotional growth between Yoon Bom and Sun Jae-gyu but also some of the most smile-inducing comedy moments yet.One of the standout aspects of this episode is how it balances emotional sincerity with light, playful storytelling. The seaside village setting continues to act as more than just a backdrop; it gives the episode a cosy, almost nostalgic warmth that harmonises perfectly with Bom and Jae-gyu’s slowly blossoming connection. The way the camera lingers on their quiet interactions and shared glances adds depth to the characters’ emotional arc, making the audience genuinely invested in their slow-burn romance. What Was Especially Good♥ Character dynamics: Episode 5 deepens the emotional stakes by highlighting Bom’s internal hesitations and Jae-gyu’s earnest desire to connect with her. Their evolving chemistry feels natural and engaging, not rushed, which keeps viewers invested in every little development between them.♥ Supporting story beats: The presence of competition and rivalry, especially with Choi I-jun stepping into the narrative, adds playful tension that keeps the episode energetic and engaging without derailing the romance.♥Romantic tension done right : Whether it’s tender moments watching Bom interact with her dog or choices that reveal personal vulnerability, the episode does a great job weaving emotional depth into what could easily be simple rom-com beats.😂 Funniest Moments & Laughs:You will be especially tickled by the episode’s unexpected humour; from the dog’s antics to subtle physical comedy and awkward social moments that feel relatable and hilarious rather than forced. One reaction specifically called out a moment involving a dog’s mischief, the pooping and also the sporting event with the Grandma 🤣It’s the kind of episode that reminds you why fans have Spring Fever trending! it’s a feel-good experience that makes you smile, laugh, and eagerly turn the page to the next episode, especially the awaited KISS SCENE for Episode 6!

Confused

Am as confused as Ho Jin.Now I figured that Cha Mu-Hee isn't possessed but rather created another personality which is Do Rami who is bold and confident. Hiro hasn't figured that out. I am hoping that in the next episodes, Do Rami won't show up anymore. Now I am giving this a new title... Can this love be confusing?

Chips start falling, spies everywhere, and mother’s intervention

That hug took Xiu by surprise but she knew he was very upset. She thought angry she left on her own but he revealed he was scared and briefly mentioned his dad’s disappearance. Gong and Zhao sleeping off wine.😂🤣 I think her day was spent in quiet solitude removing all hints of her husband from her phone. She can now move forward with no baggage to hinder her unexpectedly. When they get back Yu sees a Pei car tailing Xiu. I wish he would have said why he was in protective mode so she could be more wary when alone. She thinks he is super clingy because they are official. Her boxes barely make a presence in that huge room. 🤣 She is bringing in pieces of her personality and bringing life to his apartment. He now can feel welcomed home just seeing the mat she has at the door. I don’t know that Yu has had a sense of home since his dad died. Pei is looking into the financials even after his father’s beating. It is clear he was struck with that damn golf club. He is at least looking into his father’s activities and not blindly accepting them any more. Yu fools Pei by making him think Xiu is returning the meal carrier. Yu lets him know that Xiu is being tailed and lets Pei know this is how his father has always operated. Pei didn’t believe him but Yu gave him the license plate number and told him to check it himself. I don’t think he was aware of how tight a leash his father kept on things. The company that was being forced out is having money troubles. Pei knew the company couldn’t handle it and mocked the manager for not being able to eat the meal offered. When the guy threatens to tell about 20 years ago, he is summarily dismissed and removed from the premises with orders he can’t come back. Yu is still there and smirks while he sees the angry man storm out. He is already aware of why and will most likely meet with him soon. Pei confronts his father and finds out his aide is also a spy for dad. He now is aware of how little privacy he really has. He is thrown when his dad says the surveillance had nothing to do with him. He knows who Xiu’s father is and has told Pei. At Yu’s place Xiu has found the picture of Yu and his dad and has it specially framed. It is such a sweet gesture and he’s not quite sure how to respond to it. He does promise a future chat about his dad. When I expected that contractor to show up it is Gong at the office. He wants Yu to come back and make some corporate decisions. Yu basically tells him the company has been his all along and he is just a designer. Gong is a bit overwhelmed but you can see the wheels churning. He and Zhao will be great business partners. The last surprise is his mom showing up with food and mentioning a family dinner. She considers Pei off the market and wants to schedule a blind date for Yu. Luna is probably very pretty and well educated but she doesn’t stand a chance compared to Xiu. Gong is laughing his ass off at his boss’s predicament and sworn to secrecy. This woman. 😝She has left her son alone for 20 years and now wants to play mother matchmaker. She is as clueless about her son as he is about her. He should have come clean about Xiu right then, but he’s spread himself thin and not ready to deal with the family hurdle right now. This will bite him in the ass but it’s his call to make. Maybe Luna will be a good match for Pei? That might be interesting. I hope Yu gets some pleasant time with Xiu before the s hits the fan. Because it is coming and all too soon.

the ep's r so freakin short - they don't start they r over & now there is only one last one left. well at least his mother that was supposedly in a coma, came too after hearing her brother-in-law taunting her that her son is gonna get sold/married off to a woman he doesn't love & took her own life. that's the only way i guess she could help him, as now he doesn't need to worry about hurting his mother is he disobeys his Uncle. **********************************************************************************at the end Master Lin popped-up top stop the marriage, but was wondering did they actually sleep together as i thought they had only time to make out... (that's the problem with bad translations it keeps u guessing) either way it was enough incentive to get Master Lin to come rescue Chen GuangLi .

that ending was hilarious fitting that Thee would buy GMM-TV. this whole ep was a fluff fest & glad Thee fired Mok, so he could pursue his own happiness. a very wholesome & fun ending. even the adopting of the sibling was adorable, but fitting with Thee's crazy impulsive side - btw the way he & his mother want to gift the world to people they like, is hilarious they still have so much money to spend. ************************************************************************************************************very cute & fun BL. Thee was the MVP & Mok (ironically - as he didn't have that big a part) was a close 2nd. for sure a rewatch when i am looking for something light & fun
