Three Stars

A filler ep. All's well that ends well I guess. I don't think they needed to make a certain character die either that was just emotionally manipulating to the fullest.

Exciting but flawed episode.

A lot of stuff happens in this episode, some good, a lot of bad. The bad is not completely unexpected as we are reaching near the penultimate episode, which traditionally in drama story arcs is when everything looks the worst for the good guys. So viewers at this point in the series just have to be ready to suffer through one gut punch after another. On the good side of events, Yan and HM definitely are 'in sync' as a couple now and she steps up to help his(her) family. On the quality of the episode, it is uneven. It has a few really bad plot contrivances that are glaring. The two worst, by far, both involve Han Wei Ping. First off, how on earth did HE happen to stumble upon Hao Chen after the latter ran out of the car and went and sat at some random park bench? Second, after Hao Ming & police show up to rescue Hao Chen, how on earth is it that Han Wei Ping is not arrested? He is shown wandering around completely free. That makes zero sense and is a giant, gaping hole in the story. There are a few other annoying plot holes as well (in particular in the way HWP is able to access HM's home, computer & safe so easily) but those two just really jump off the screen as dumb. On the _good_ side of episode quality, the episode ends with some brilliant emotional acting by Yu Lan as she implores her husband to wake up.

A promising outcome

Let me start by saying that im not against the Murderer. What kind of friends are these people anyway? Seriously. Im very much concerned as to what Jay could have possibly done as well. The case of getting trickier and more complicated. But trust in Jade and Kamin to handle this. I love their professionalism, their expressions and how they react under pressure. Especially if that said pressure is coming from work. If you've watched today's episode, you'll understand my frustration as to who says that to a fellow Officer in your station?! Uh.In this episode we also got to experience a little worry, shocked, happy romantic moments, friends deciding whom to trust, and fright. Im really loving Dunk's acting. He's facial expressions to everything Jade is funny and very real. I want to know more about his background because what was with that face? Has no ever done that for you Kamin? Cant wait for the next episode.

I am gonna lay this show to rest, becasue it is lowkey interesting. Lesson is like something never change, no matter what. I wonder how they are gonna do the rest of this. GMMTV's biggest cry babies lmao. Put khao in here and we will be complete. Interesting bit with him being an alcoholic. i think that guy at the end was a full circle bit but idk. I like this, its a good background show. Okay bye!

When the past returns at the worst moment

Episode 6 felt deeply sincere rather than dramatic. The conversation between Hu Xiu and Xiao Zhi Yu in the early part of the episode stood out to me—not because of silence, but because of how open and genuine it was. Their exchange about work, dreams, and uncertainty felt natural, as if two people were slowly allowing themselves to be honest. The sudden disqualification of Dynamism because of malicious rumors brought a strong sense of unfairness, especially knowing how much Zhi Yu carries from his past. Learning about his father’s story and the weight behind his determination made his struggle feel personal rather than ambitious. The wedding setting pushed everything to an emotional edge. Seeing Qi Ran again forced Hu Xiu to confront a past she thought she had moved on from, and her physical discomfort made that pain impossible to ignore. The episode ended quietly, with words that felt heavier than any confrontation, leaving a lingering tension that stayed with me long after it ended.

I wanna talk about the SEX SCENE

So... we get a five-minute sex scene here, no joking. It portraits both delicate love and hard passion. The direction is great, the movements feel natural and realistic. Kwon goes gently and slowly, with reassuring words (this is Jiwon's first time). The takes are impressive: horizontal, vertical, and also slanting (the dynamic is improved). Tons of kisses, staring at each other. The viewer is captured, the shots are so close that the sensorial experience feels their own. The music is calm, nice but also rhythmical, matching the atmosphere. My rating here is only destined to this specific scene, because it's absolutely marvellous.

When honesty hurts, but hope follows

Episode 5 felt like an emotional turning point for both the story and the characters. Learning Xiao Zhi Yu’s true identity and understanding his motivation as a architect added depth to his quiet actions. The way he supported Hu Xiu’s dream behind the scenes was meaningful, even though their conversation about the rental contract ended up hurting her deeply. That moment felt painfully realistic—misunderstandings often come from concern, not rejection. Hu Xiu believing she had lost her chance, only to later realize she was actually accepted, made her happiness feel well earned. Watching her finally step into the world of architecture brought a sense of relief and hope. The softer moments at the end, especially her drunk scene and Zhi Yu taking her home, added warmth and sincerity to the episode. This chapter balanced emotional conflict and gentle romance beautifully, making it an easy 10 stars for me.

Dreams delayed, not abandoned

Episode 4 focused less on the game and more on the quiet pressure of real life, and it worked beautifully. Hu Xiu’s struggle to hide the truth from her parents, prove who is living in her rented home, and face yet another disappointing job interview felt painfully realistic. Seeing her talent acknowledged through her past achievements made the situation even more heartbreaking, especially when she was once again offered an assistant position instead of a chance to design. The episode showed how circumstances, not lack of ability, pushed her away from her dream. The unexpected visit from her parents at the end created a strong sense of tension, making it clear that everything she tried to protect is about to be exposed. This was a subtle but powerful episode about pressure, responsibility, and postponed dreams.

Beauty hidden in loss

Episode 3 stood out with its visual storytelling and emotional contrast. The game scenes were stunning, especially the way fear and beauty blended through the ghost effects, turning danger into something poetic. Hu Xiu’s brief moments of enjoyment inside the game made her eventual loss feel even heavier. Once again, she loses—not just the game, but her sense of control. The rainy scene afterward quietly mirrored her real-life struggles, where disappointment keeps following her. By placing her emotional vulnerability alongside the growing mystery of Qin Xiao Yi, the episode strengthened the connection between the game world and reality, making the story feel both gentle and heartbreaking.

Taking back control

Episode 2 deepens Hu Xiu’s character by showing how she responds to doubt and betrayal. Learning that Qin Xiao Yi won the game while hiding his identity makes her question everything she experienced before. Instead of confronting him directly, she chooses to re-enter the game under a new identity, not just for revenge, but to regain a sense of control. Her decision to join a rival team and quietly observe before acting felt smart and emotionally grounded. At the same time, her real-life struggles and career frustrations made her choices even more relatable. This episode balanced strategy, emotion, and quiet tension very well, making the story feel more layered and compelling.

A beautiful start between illusion and reality

Episode 1 immediately pulled me in with its quiet emotions and intriguing concept. Hu Xiu’s heartbreak after being abandoned on her wedding day felt painfully real, and the way the story introduced the murder mystery VR game added a unique layer to her emotional escape. The contrast between the fictional identities inside the game and the characters’ real lives was handled in a subtle, engaging way. Qin Xiao Yi’s presence felt mysterious from the start, making it hard to tell whether he was an NPC or something more. The episode didn’t rely on dramatic twists alone; instead, it slowly built curiosity and emotional tension. It felt like the beginning of a story that wants you to pay attention to feelings, not just the plot.

think i might be the odd one out, but i don't…

think i might be the odd one out, but i don't like anyone... which is a 1st - at least at this stage of a drama... i didn't care that Teh supposedly betrayed his Jimmy by f*cking Fah in the previous ep. as Jimmy was far from loyal given his non-stop crossing of boundaries with Teh's brother - even after Teh told him that was a red line - so they were even IMO. *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************but in this ep everyone just rubbed me the wrong way, the fact Fah's a power-bottom isn't shocking & the way he spoke when he looked at Teh (maybe cause he wasn't salivating after his ass) made it clear, that he was gonna play him. but still it was gross the way he treated Teh afterwards & the fact Teh (the supposed freakin player) acted like a butt-whipped boy, as if Fah was his 1st... the way he kept coming back for more, no matter how Fah spoke to him. made me angry at his lack of pride. but the worst part IMO was the fact that at no point in his conversations with his brother, did he tell him Jimmy lied & was the one interested in Fah, or that Jimmy was STILL trying HARD to get with Fah. that would for sure smack some sense into Toh, stop him from falling for a douche - maybe then he would heed his brothers warning regarding Jimmy. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************& regarding Toh, been saying this from the start - he is the adult among the 4 - he should know better, even if they not teens & collage students, as the adult he should think twice about getting involved with his brother's bff, especially after his brother warned him more then once that Jimmy is not to be trusted - so any heartache he sufferers from here on out, is his own fault. there no point even talking about Jimmy cause he is just gross - everything about this character is a turn off, he isn't justified in targeting Toh & he was the one who started the retarded games, when he got close to Toh to get at Fah... so acting like it's Teh's fault is him being a hypocrite. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************& have to say just cause we have a make out session at the end of every ep, doesn't make up for the horrendous behavior of the character's here, i aint here for that. will give this another chance to see if this gets better, but i have my doubts...

Will they finally stop the roller coaster?

So Shen Hao Ming and Xu Yan have finally completely reconciled. And all seems finally good and restored between them. The only question is if the writers will contrive some other romantic obstacle between them or if they will let them now stay together and work together to overcome the remaining obstacles facing them - of which there are several. On Yan's side, Lin Tao has seemingly been plotting something nefarious because he's hiding his still-obsession with Qiao Lin. And on Hao Ming's side, his business enemies are getting desperate and looking to blow up Hao Chen's identity in order to discredit Hao Ming and prevent him from assuming a position on the board. As a viewer, I'm hoping that we get to see Hao Ming and Yan face these obstacles together for the final stretch.

Five Stars

Why the lower ratings for this episode? It was a great episode, with HX finding vindication and being able to confront the scumbag who abandoned her, supported by her boss, our green flag ML who always steps up when she needs him. Making the former fiance kneel at her feet was a fantastic moment.
