Like watching a train wreck in slow motion. We all saw this coming. Still hurt to watch happen. ZQC should never have attached curing her master to a wedding proposal (in prior episode). He blurted the offer out half joking in his typical cynical manner and she pounced on it and said yes. Because BOTH those things are what she wants most in the world. How could she resist at that moment? And he should have known that. That was just dumb and immature of him to do because neither a marriage nor the life of her master are joking matters to her. And now this disaster is the result. As I've noted in earlier episodes: ZQC behaves like a 14 year old when it comes to his romantic interest in SYL. He needs to grow up and begin to act like an adult when it comes to love. In particular he needs understand that love is not possession and love requires trust and respect for the whole of the other - including what is different about the other, such as their priorities & choices. Only when he becomes mature enough is their love going to work. And later, when he ended up using the Leaf to save her, he should have told her. I don't blame FL for being furious at not being told. Though she also needs to have some perspective. She literally would not be alive to be furious if he had not used the Leaf. She also has her own immaturities, in particular her inability to see that others don't have the same weighted priorities in the world as she does and that they aren't necessarily wrong if theirs are different. In particular, she needs to accept and understand that to ZQC, _her_ life is more important than her master's life. And that he wasn't necessarily wrong for choosing her life over Su Xuan's. And she ultimately needs to examine the question that ZQC faced: Who's life would she, Su Yun Luo, choose between ZQC and someone ZQC loved more than himself, such as the latter's dear sister?

wanna write fun 1st ep, but there were so many bad & sad things in it that idk if that is a fitting word. always when i watch period K-drama's i an shocked by how powerless royalty really were, unless they were a crazy emperor, they might as well be puppets that r manipulated by the ministers in power & their families. Kim Han Cheol got balls of steel, he not only imprisoned the emperor he got rid of all the women that have power & or can breed the new line. making way for his own daughter/ progeny = family to inherit the throne. & the cherry on top he not hiding what he has done & is gonna do from the men in the royal family. cause he knows they r powerless - now that is terrifying. *************************************************************but i have to say if i was Crown Prince Yi Gang i would just "get rid" of Kim Han Cheol's daughter on the wedding night. maybe that's mean of me but that would be one way to squash Kim Han Cheol dreams of obtaining the throne or at least making it harder. cause he doesn't look like the type that gives up easily... ********************************************************************regarding Dal I i get who she was & why she is where she is now - but can a personality change so much cause u loose ur memory?!? & i get that maybe Park Hong Nan knew her before (maybe was her personal maid) & is trying to keep her safe. but then shouldn't she have given her some type of heads-up, what slave traders only hand around in that city? they might end up there cause that's where their base is, but am sure they need to get their "wears" somewhere else - like from around the country. & i know that was a lie & she doesn't want anyone from her past seeing that she is still alive. but still idk it's weird plotline...

A Shop for Killers Episode 7

Another backstory episode. Loved it but it would've more suspenseful if we didn’t know who will die. The acting was great. The action was fine. But the timeline felt off. The sequence of the episodes made the story less exiting.

This is one of the best drama episodes I have ever seen. The questioning session is absolutely brilliant. First of all, the questions being asked are intelligent, relevant questions, not some nonsensical filler that no one would ask in the same situation that only makes for melodrama as opposed to real drama tension. Second, the responses are truly creatively cunning. Fan Xiao is telling the truth, but in a way that serves him. He twists it just enough to make it seem as though he was in the right, when we all know what his intentions had been. This is a masterclass in writing. All three of the actors are excellent in this scene. It was an agonizing pleasure to watch. Rewatch value: 100!

An odd antique dealer shows up at Yashe. He is supposed to bring items to shop but that hasn’t been shown yet. I’m betting he knows something about the travel chair and trying to find a way in at the shop. It is fun at the market with the tongue twister name of bubble tea. It was funnier when her guard wanted to keep testing for toxins.🤣 BiZhi gets location for mermaid candle and is taken aback at the condition of location. The village is ravaged and all are begging in the streets. The officials are corrupt and do not care if the food is distributed fairly or in good condition. A little girl is in the background and comes back to her home and lights a blue camera with mermaid on it. She is surprised when she gets up that the candle has not burned down any and happy to use again. Her food is stolen and she is pushed aside. Her hands are bleeding and her basket is broken. As she weeps by the candle she sees a visitor on her bed. She declares herself a mermaid and replaces the food she lost. The mermaid promises to stay with her as long as the candle is lit. The mermaid takes care of her for years and she is old enough to work and the town has recovered. BiZhi’s coordinates land him at a brothel and he tells them BeiLu is paying. 🤣😂 It is funnier that he remains the most sober with the drinking game. 😂 They learn that the Chan they are looking for delivers the laundry and had already left for the day. It was later at night and an official that had harassed her at work had more plans for her in the alley. She bit his hand and ran away. Fortunately a handsome noble came to the rescue and the disgusting official stayed groveling at his feet while Chan ran home. She was greeted by the mermaid who was worried about her and had come looking. This night, she was taught how to defend herself with a dagger. This is probably the Kun blade BiZhi is looking for. After seeing her assault, I was glad she was getting a lesson in self defense. After the lesson, the mermaid gave her the blade. The next day the official was found dead. Chan saw her bite marks on his hand. She runs into the nobleman at work and offers a sachet as a thank you. He buys one and returns it to her as an invite to his poetry group. He is definitely interested and so is she. ☺️ The mermaid has the hairpin a seller tried to get Chan to buy. It has blood on the tip and it’s quite likely she killed the official. Can’t feel sorry for the guy but hope the evidence doesn’t point to Chan.

BiZhi and BeiLu attend Lu Feng’s exhibit. Bei Zhi buys three pieces to get his attention. He asks for the Wu blade and Lu Feng is interested because he wants his work to be displayed in the Rainbow Manor. BeiLu is just starting to figure out that the great gpa in picture is BiZhi. 🤣 BeiLu invited himself to the exhibit but BiZhi had to dress him. 🤣 I am wondering if he kept the tags on to return later since he asked about return policy in the way out. Lu Feng paid the paparazzi to take pics of him at dinner and get a buzz going before exhibition. I am thinking when he refused to make a relationship with Nina public she is the one that released this info to the public. It went viral right after she stomped out and it was a bit too coincidental in timing. Lu Feng looked through all his tools and came across the knife. He didn’t even value it but threw it in as a freebie with BiZhi’s other purchases. BeiLu gave him a piece of his mind on the way out the door. He was disgusted with the lack of value Lu Feng gave Lan’s gift to him. He was angry that the sincere artist he met at the market was this publicity seeking womanizer before him. What was news to the artist is that his memory of the market started to return once he reacquainted himself with the gifted blade. It is one of a pair and BiZhi needs to find its mate before he can neutralize the energy on it. Lu Feng is rushed to the hospital with a perforated stomach. Once he recalls his market adventure, he gives away his wealth and goes back to creating. Maybe he will finally make something truly wonderful. At the market he was a very good handyman fixing things. That seems to be his real talent. BiZhi is tempted to investigate BeiLu’s past and has the means to do it. For now he set it aside because I don’t think he wants confirmation that BeiLu is not ZiYi.
