What I am a bit baffled by is why no one is going after the damn bell that orders the puppets. It seems that would be a useful deterrent in shutting her up. Doc Bai was smart enough to not go along and leave everything to LianYue and Rabbit. Her spiders managed to give golden puppet the antidote and the final battle of mentor/disciple took place with LianYue being ordered to kill his mentor. Night Crow is not happy her star puppet is destroyed, but she is not in the least deterred to continue the battle. Her next three in line are lined up to continue. Rabbit looks to have taken a fatal blow and LianYue proves phoenixes exist in their world. This reminded me of another fight where the sr brother used his best move to end things with an enemy. These battles were well done. The emperor has summoned the Prince of Langya and while he sleeps the Prince knows he has been poisoned again. Both of these eunuchs get on my nerves with their schemes. The search is still on for the final dragon scroll and I wish they knew old geezer eunuch has it. There seems to be equal losses on both sides but the stakes are very high in this city and the cost quite high. This episode brought back the Lianyue from earlier episodes. He has proven himself to his mentor and his love along with himself. He finally accepts the role he has to play and demonstrates his real skills.

Changhe has left seclusion and isn’t happy with how first prince and eunuch are running things. Uncle Zhe successfully transferred his energy, but that meant both incapacitated when first prince called for strikes against their hideouts. Leader Mu and XueWei stayed behind and fought flawlessly, but they were too few against the obstacles. It looked like leader Mu died after sweet words with his love, but their bodies have not been found. Whether they are burned, hidden or kidnapped, we really don’t know. This has MuYu ready to take the battle directly to the city. The Prince of Langya knows the odds are against him, but he still hopes to find the dragon scroll in time. The emperor notes first prince’s developments and hopes to save him. First prince uses a truth snake to determine Changhe’s loyalty. It is clear he has no plans to kill MuYu but he has not changed his allegiance to them. Muyu is now aware Changhe has made his own plans. Rabbit and Lianyue were making progress with the nobles’ sons but arrow guy killed the ringleader. LianYue caught the arrow but neither could get to the snake assassin in time. They are now all aware the Blood River is divided between the two prince’s and a showdown is coming as the powers that be want to have their choice on scroll as successor. The one thing worth noting is arrow guy was not impressed with the callous attitude of first Prince having his people killed. He fully thinks their job is to keep his head attached at the price of their own. I want to pity him because of his situation, but he and eunuch are so distasteful and I don’t see either as redeemable yet.

I realize how dangerous the love trope between Jihyeok and Darim since Jhyeok stll think Darim is married woman, but he still want to have Darim. Its toxic if it really happen in real life guysalso, Seonu please choose a girl that you want, dont be . I thought he finally open his heart towards Hayeong, but looks like he have a deep feeling towards darim and not as a childhood friend.Jihyeok want to married Hayeong immediately? Does it to make Darim jealous? Or to fill his broken heart?

estar what a emotional roller costar of an ep... at the start of this BL i didn't care for Shu Lang (& i don't mean i didn't like him, but to me, he was just another side character) i was focused on Fan Xiao. yeah he was toxic & hell bent on causing chaos everywhere he went, it was hard not to be entertained by him & even enjoyed this demonic, manipulative character. *************************but as this progressed Shu Lang & the good in him has shown brighter & brighter, have come to love him. not only cause he is such a green flag, but cause he is a very strong person inside & out, yet he has compassion & a huge heart not just for loved ones, but for total stranger's. he is unique in this day & age where people aren't just jaded, but very self centered. where if they can avoid a situation, that doesn't involve them - they will - Shu Lang on the other hand goes out of his way to help. so seeing him broken by the end, just cause he followed his heart & trusted the lies Fan Xiao fed him. makes me sad & mad. *******************************************************************************************************************************************************Fan Xiao on the other hand isn't just a moron, he is a sociopath & maybe even sufferers from a spilt personality. wont be shocked by this, considering everything he went throw as a child & how he grew-up. dude says one thing & thinks another. he doesn't realize what he wants. i am sure he started hating Shu Lang cause of how good/proper/genuine he was, how he went out of his way to be helpful & kind to total strangers. Fan Xiao needed to "out" him as a fake, cause he didn't experience that type of person in his life (ironic that he forgot that his mother was a good, kind person too) & the more he tried, the more Shu Lang's kind-heart got under his skin. think the fact he fell hard for Shu Lang made him hate Shu Lang all the more. that's why even though in his heart he loves him more then he loves himself, he can't admit to this fact out loud. he is angry that Shu Lang is touching a part of him, he thought long dead. *************************************************************************************this sad & yet i don't pity him any more then i pity Zhen. they both had a gem in their hands & instead of cherishing it, tossed it aside like it was nothing & now they r crying - big whoop. the only one who my heart goes out too, is poor Shu Lang. he Doesn't deserve this heartache. he keeping doing good & getting back bad - the world is a f*cked up place & this is why good people stop wanting to be kind or good, cause there more people ready to take advantage & abuse their kindness. *************************************************************************************************************************************************************Fan Xiao mistook Shu Lang's kindness for weakness, he thinks cause someone got a soft heart they a pushover. i am so ready for Shu Lang to show him that he not one to be messed with. this is also what i loved about Shu Lang - everyone going on about power bottom's like enough with that moronic trope - it means nothing. a person can top or bottom regardless of gender, same goes for personality & Shu Lang in spite of being softhearted, was NEVER a pushover! ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note: found it kinda funny the show these guys were putting on for the old man living in front of Shu Lang.

Florahh There’s something so sinister when parents are the culprits in their children’s lives. Especially if against their wishes. Feng Rui deserved to be with his love. His girlfriend deserved to have her child. The parents could have fostered support. Instead? Betrayal? Now twelve years later instead of mending, still sabotaging. Sad.

There’s balance in the story so far since ST and FR returned from their trip. Screen time goes to support plot so that story continues to make progress on the lives of this group. Not sure how this can be rated a 1 but it’s definitely not that bad if you’ve invested in the story as a whole rather than just what you want. I like that Peiyan has made peace with ST and has closed the door on FR. I hope she’s not totally out of the script but maybe writers will give her a good alternative????

Spoons and Tea Cups While I am watching with AI-generated or terrible automatic subs, it still is a very enjoyable start. The premise is nothing new but I do like the characters so far. Ding Yuxi is great and I can see glimpses of his later roles in Cai Tian Mu. The female lead played by Li Ying Ying is adorable, and does a great job making you feel for her situation. I also think Jiang Zichen does a great job as the mean girl antagonist so far.

look, i get we're supposed to feel sympathy for air but i don't at all. she knows she's hurting both lamp and pure, yet she's too much of a coward to actually cut ties with either of them. i'm sure she'll have some tragic explanation for her actions, but i don't really care. i'm glad pure stood up for herself at the end of the episode

DianaYumi This a spirit advice about being nice even if the enemy is practicing some kind of evil. You can see how Lady Wen and the youngest are nice,but they are following orders of their evil leader and if not, they will die. It was not wrong the ML being nice with them and this episode about 16 years ago is interesting to know which one carved those marks on him now.
