When they arrive, FuGui gives 12580 a talisman to disguise her demon essence. They have a first battle to test strength that RuMu misses because his father tests him privately. This shows he is not as strong as soldier tho he holds his own decently. He did indeed blind his cousin but as the story unfolds, both cousins are trying to save RuMu’s friends who are being held hostage until RuMu successfully kills soldier. I don’t blame 12580 for being distrustful. When she shows her fierce face it is cute and she is feisty. She is ready to take on the cousin til FuGui breaks them up. They share childhood memories and their true relationship comes to light. Both are trying to outfox their abusive fathers. This is very Deja vu since children and fathers were very at odds in the other two stories. It is pretty heartless that Quan is ready to burn his son’s friends alive to ensure compliance with taking the demon pill. RuMu has no clue how it will affect him but tells his cousin to do whatever necessary to check him. While RuMu’s dad is truly horrible and even worse than HongYe, HongYe will never get father of the year either. FuGui had it right that his dad didn’t care at all about his eyes as long as he wins the contest. I just don’t have words for either of these dads. All the fathers and elders sit in their big chairs and play nice while quietly plotting as they watch their children battle. Quan got his way getting a very powerful pill but the old geezer WangQuan won’t play along til they see how successful RuMu is at killing the soldier for them. Since he is their best and brightest, I don’t know why they would prefer a chaotic demon possessed version. Their thinking seems very counterproductive. At least they have this bit of time to reminisce and get reacquainted. I don’t know that RuMu would have received much better treatment had he stayed, but at least the boys would have been friends. They have still managed a kinship in spite of their egregious fathers. As they prepare to meet at the contest to put on a show for their fathers, the demonic pill kicks in. I am enjoying the friendship bonds of these three and the silly antics of the two demon sidekicks. This lightens up some very harsh circumstances these sons have endured by the fathers responsible for their welfare. HongYe sits on his pedestal of pseudo morality over his Quan relatives, but his complete lack of concern for life other than human puts him in the same scummy category as the ones who capitalize with merch created by their deaths. For me, they are flip sides of the same crappy coin that says demon kills are ok and the world is better without them. Whereas the rest of the world says it would be better without the YiQi alliance running things. That the truest evil lies with them. Now to see if the cousins can get through this competition unscathed.

This episode had no business being this intense. I want Sanho as my bodyguard because he protects, cooks, and somehow makes everything look cinematic. This episode was pure chaos in the best way possible, filled with revelations that had me holding my breath until the end. The acting carried so much weight, and those long, quiet stares said everything without a word. The only thing throwing me off is how fast the romance is moving since I just want them to stay in a bodyguard-client dynamic a little longer.

well didn't expect that ending as i was sure the last ep would be the championship fight, thought that in this ep either Wandee's operation would bomb or Yoryak would get really hurt. didn't go as i thought - but a few eps now just feels like filler, there is a bit of relevant plot info to further the story or solve issues, but the majority is pointless, boring sh*t IMO. & i have lost interest - which is shame as this really had potential to be a good BL. oh well one more ep to go

I loved the conversations between the leads. The episode had me a little on edge during the wedding. Loved the sweetness of visiting grandma.

The episode starts with 12580 choosing to become human. Here the actress cutely portrays trying to get used to two legs rather than eight. Her spider superior tries to get her to kill FuGui while he is cultivating and she finally can take matters into her own hands. FuGui has learned that his experiment with the pearl was ill timed. He has used much more of his spiritual power than he expected to. When the Quan elder came, he presented himself arrogantly. I enjoyed FuGui holding his own with him. The black smoke says the elder was enhanced with demon essence and FuGui in a greatly weakened condition kicked his butt and publicly. Here HongYe finally came through and reminded his “guest” that he should have guests’ manners. The elder is surprised at how strong FuGui is even without the Heaven Earth strike. He knows his son cannot win and tells him he must win even by devious methods. Disciple girl is annoying. She should know better than most if his spiritual power needs time to heal that she should not interrupt his breathing cultivation. She says she will only give up her pursuit if another catches his eye. I think she has an inkling about spider girl and already has made it clear she understands demons and humans can’t be friends. She is trying to catch 12580, but she would be far more concerned if she saw her in human form. 12580 thinks his meditation is finished and picks up where first chatty Cathy left off. FuGui gets the big guns out and offers her candy to hush her up.😂12580 is adorable and she wants to learn how to use a sword. She is making improvements in her training and only has a 7 step level to complete to master the entire technique. Unfortunately they are out of time because of the contest. Young Quan is spying on his cousin to see how good he is. When FuGui gets a job right before leaving to visit the Li clan, he tags along to see how FuGui fares against a snake demon. Right when FuGui is getting ready to finish the job, dear sweet cousin shows up to use dragon horn essence to blind him. He then hands the rest of the job to the snake king so he won’t be the one directly killing his cousin.😝Here 12580 shows her mettle and steps up against the snake. That was incredibly brave for a spider as a snake is a huge enemy. She manages to hold off his efforts briefly and when the snake thinks he has the upper hand and starts mocking her, FuGui corrects him and finishes the job he started. He fesses up to the butler he is blind but that 30 days ought to have him healed. He has given 12580 the job to be his eyes during the journey. I hope she weaves him a beautiful scrapbook of all the things they saw on the way so that he can experience what made her happy while they were traveling. Since QuZhuo is an expert with talismans, maybe he has something that will counter the blindness from the dragon horn. I am curious to see what his character is like in this drama. He was QinLan’s puppy in second part,😂 but his skill with devices and talismans is quite good. 12580 is happily describing the birds in flight as they counting their journey. I have been thoroughly entertained these first three episodes and think cast and production have done a decent job continuing the story.

Beer. If I survive this, the first thing I’ll do is have a cold beer. That was easily the most intense and flirty bomb scene I’ve ever seen. The chemistry between them is off the charts, even if it’s a little hard to believe Sanho walked away from that easily.

The pacing picked up perfectly and the plot went all in. Munju and her mother-in-law teaming up was such an unexpected power move, and kicking out the remaining son? Wild. The cinematography, especially in the action scenes, was stunning. So much chaos and tension packed into one episode!

A slow start, but still gripping by the end. Munju shielding her dying husband was unforgettable, and the acting across the board was phenomenal. The cinematography and small everyday moments made it feel like watching real life unfold on screen.

This episode showed a growing friendship between 12580 and FuGui. She was the small bit of sunshine he allowed himself. Her best gift to him was a drawing of a bamboo pavilion by a river. It was not the one his parents used to meet at, but it gave him some comfort looking at it. The Quan portion of family has come for the competition. They were banished and lost surname because of their crimes, but hope to plan a coup with the elder Wangquan who has found yet another way to corruptly use demon cores. Now it is a medicine that assists cultivation levels in record time by consuming the demon essence. They are as vile as ever if not worse with this new market. If they can get HongYe out of the way and kill off FuGui, they will have the YiQi alliance as their endless money supply. The demon mistress of the cave is making future plans with 12580.. She also has plans for FuGui. He is just better informed and forarmed about her intentions. The butler continues to look out for FuGui and tries to mitigate the hardheartedness of HongYe. He says not to blame the master but I call BS.HongYe had the potential to be the best of them and he has let his grief and guilt override everything else. I don’t know why he is so surprised that the grief tree is almost ready to be reborn. His grief alone could start it. The indiscriminate killing from both men and demons is making a perfect storm for a repeat. The peace that could have come from him being in charge has long been forgotten. FuGui had just promised no thoughtless killings when he gets another mission. The demons have a pearl that uses human essence. This is in definite retaliation to the ‘medicine’ the WangQuan elder is peddling. There is a brief battle where all the demons are killed and FuGui comes home with the pearl. He finds 12580 in a sad state and is considering using the pearl and some of his essence to heal her when episode ends. This episode was a lot of cuteness with a budding branch of machinations getting ready from both humans and demons.

The episode opens with an eerie view of Eastern City. The city is riddled with dead bodies and demons. Cheng’s team has come to battle but they do not last long and a message is sent to WangQuan manor. HangYe responds by sending his son to the site. Fu gui finds the remnant of citizens trapped in a spell to donate their essences to demon king Huodou. The demon thought all was won with hellfire til Fu gui comes out unscathed and returns some flame of his own. The Demon is defeated and the few humans still alive are offered aid. It is noted that one is a survivor due to spider silk sewing up injuries. FuGui notes a small spider demon and spares her for her good deed. This is noted by the mistress of the spider cave as she sees this as a vulnerability for the soldier later. Lady Feng is a disciple with the YiQi alliance that has her eyes on FuGui. She definitely has her own style and will not be deterred from presenting herself as she chooses. However, this does not necessarily present her at her best and she finds herself rebuffed by her love interest. Spider 12580 saves 12581 by promising to get intel about the soldier. She starts by befriending Lady Feng and delivering a letter to FuGui. It is his bday and the young lady wanted to make it special for him. This did not work out as she planned, but this did help 12580 meet FuGui in person. He remembered her act of kindness and lets her stick around. She reminds him that things can be beautiful. HongYe has changed a lot in the last 20 yrs. After the black fox battles he has focused exclusively on the YiQi alliance and his son’s soldier training. He has left no room for anything else. He has tried to drive the point home that a soldier’s only purpose is to kill demons. He has completely dismissed that soldiers fight best for home and hearth and that demons and humans could coexist. He thinks his emotions is what caused the loss when it was most likely due to his best idealism suppressed by his father when he matured. He has Beloved Wife on HuaiZhu’s memorial but not mother. He has never let Fu gui honor his mother or shared her memorial with his son as a somber part of his son’s bday. It was heartbreaking to see him denounce his younger self when FuGui tried on the mask. He only sees failure that FuGui has yet to do Heaven Earth strike. He will accept nothing less from his son. HuaiZhu’s last wish for their son was to be one who could wield both sword strike and fire from both families. She saw him as the means to keep the peace. I think she would be very sad that her son was given no memories of her and that HongYe has succumbed to the evilest portion of YiQi alliance which was to kill demons indiscriminately just for existing. This is a very far cry from the hope they had for the future. HongYe is a shadow of himself and acknowledges his bad parenting. What he refuses to do is recognize that by letting HuaiZhu’s wish rumble around in his head he is forgetting the spirit of what they wanted to do. It is a very bleak world FuGui has been raised in and truly a wonder that he can see the kindness of a small spider demon and find it valuable. This is the third installment of the series that follows the life of HongYe’s and HuaiZhu’s son. 20 years have passed and unfortunately the YiQi alliance is the strongest power. This is not a good thing and a sad regression from the hope the masked sect wanted to bring to the world. The story does a good job of flashbacks from past to present filling in some of the why’s of HongYe’s parenting. Production did a good job with making the Eastern City eerie and while the spiders had mixed reviews, I like them. They are Tim Burtonesque with 12580 a brighter happier hue than the rest. I find myself melancholy along with FuGui who has never celebrated a bday or the life of his mother. He is reduced to demon slayer in the eyes of his whole world. It is a sad and lonely existence for him.

Great brotherly camaraderie and buildup with fun moments leading up to the new destination. Love the ice and snow special effects - feels convincingly chilly.

Reached probably a near term high point. This episode took Dongfeng Qian Cing most of the rest of the way in his emotional redemption arc and ended in a very good place. Xiao Lan Hua also showed tremendous growth in character as she helps him take every step. The whole episode is very emotional and both actors deliver compelling performances.I fully expect the next few episodes to carry us dramatically away from this blissful point as the main characters still have many challenges to face.

Felt like the ML was overly aggressive charging in and all that, but starting to enjoy his character more. I liked the scene when she kept asking him to repeat “thank you” and the other character teased him and said “he said he likes you!”

The Story of Bi Hyeong: Enchanted Master of the Goblin Episode 10

Gil Dal is my spirit animal & my favorite character bar none. he's sweet, innocent, quirky & funny - he is too pure for this world, so it's ironic that the person to fall for him is a fox. & i was worried that Ji Gwi wouldn't just play mind games with him but end up hurting him. now i aint that worried - Gil Dal's innocence is kinda like a shield, well he was a boulder so not shocking he hella strong personality wise not just physically. ******************************************************************************************regarding the mains cute & all, but am wondering didn't Sam Sin tell Geum Bok the 3 days after he comes back from the past he is gonna forget everything & everyone?!? isn't that info he should share with Bi Hyeong. or did i get that - time will tell..

Another episode with real growth in both main characters.Already more than tired of the "Jie Li" character though. Totally could do without her getting anymore screen time. Just an annoying character.
