OMG, this episode is so fun. The rain scene where rainwater is just pouring on the fl lead and she is just taking it like a champ is hilarious.

Second prince has condemned himself to what appears to be a hopeless situation. He has convinced himself that the only way to keep QingKui safe is to have her completely give up on him. I want to feel sorry for himself but he should have never taken that stupid pill. But since he did QingKui might be the only one not in snake realm to figure an around for it. He is so tunnel visioned in her protection that he did not consider he as an aid that could help him with a united front. He has lost all ground he had made with her . YeTan has found the third shard. He is a lothario and will be the hardest of three to win over. They try talismans that will let them act for her and it is not going well. đ she is acting odd enough to get his attention but I donât think that is what she had in mind. QingKui hereâs some guards talking and knows the void is intently looking for the shard. She is going to try something on her own and not sure thatâs a good idea. Fiery is missing YeTan. He is most sweet as he offers the best of his rocks for QingKui to make a flower for the love she misses.đ„° They need to get things wrapped up soon because things are going to get out of hand with the empress involved. She has already succeeded in getting rid of her biggest obstacle in the void. I am hoping they find a way to get the second prince out of this mess so that he can assist but itâs not looking good for either side right now. Mr Casanova is going to waste a lot of time they donât have.đ

Episode 7 of The Next Prince truly takes the series to new heights. From the opening scene to the final frame, this episode is a masterclass in cinematic storytelling. The visual language is breathtaking â every shot carefully composed, every light and shadow perfectly placed to evoke mood and tension. The cinematography is not just beautiful, itâs purposeful, elevating the emotional weight of each moment. The storytelling in this episode was tight, impactful, and rich with character development. Secrets unraveled, dynamics shifted, and emotional stakes were raised with every scene. The pacing allowed us to truly sit with the characters â to feel what they felt, and understand their choices on a deeper level. The cast delivered phenomenal performances, fully embodying their roles with nuance and heart. But itâs Zee and NuNew who stole the spotlight once again. Their chemistry is undeniable â electric when tension rises, soft and lingering in the quiet moments. Whether it was a glance, a confrontation, or a scene filled with unspoken emotion, they carried it with grace and depth. What makes this episode especially powerful is how it balances intensity with tenderness, strategy with raw vulnerability. Itâs not just an episode â itâs an experience. In short, Episode 7 is a shining example of what happens when a story is told with care, vision, and passion. A standing ovation to the entire team behind The Next Prince â we are in awe and already counting down to the next chapter.

This was an exciting episode. It was like a roller coaster, with beautiful closure. Charan and Khanin are a perfect match. I love they act because it's like watching their real life.

Zheng Bei is basically stuck where he is until Gu Yiran agrees to come to Harlan. He has a bit more respect for the guy when trying to keep up on a run. đ He hands Gu Yiran a file and then tries to head out. As he is arguing with his boss on the phone, he is surprised when Gu Yiran show up. The case involved his friend so he definitely wants part of it. He does not tell Zheng Bei why he is interested, but he does provide a nice lexicon of druggie associated terms to help with the undercover job. Zheng Bei is not too impressed with the cafeteria turned office space.đ Gu Yiran meets the rest of the team. The undercover deal seems to be going well even with pipe bombs being added. Gu Yiran made an odd face when dealer complimented Zheng Bei on his Cantonese.

Absolutely loved this episode. Good developments. Chairman being manly at his age is so adorable. The women standing together against the witchy ex was cute.

Officers ZhengBei and Zhao Xiao Guang have come across a new drug while making drug busts. The bureau wants him to be on a special drug task force. He agrees if he can have his own people on the team. His choices are accepted but they want him to add one more. A forensic specialist already acquainted with the drug. His close friend odâd on it so he has a special interest in finding it and getting a top notch lab together that can analyze it and get it off the streets. Gu Yi Ran agreed to stay at the academy to have his own lab to work on it. These two meet at the end and both are rather reluctant to work with each other. The officer is surprised because he expected the father not the son. Gu Yi Ran was surprised because he is a loner that doesnât really work with anybody. Lots of action first episode with just a bit of humor to chill out the heaviness of the drug scene. Fight scenes are well done and the image of his dead friend was all too real.

1st off the guys (Sun & Sky) did the girls dirty. well i felt badder for Toktaeng, cause no one deluded Juno into thinking they were interested in her, like Sky did with Toktaeng (but his suggesting the double date might have fostered false hope, so..). that whole scene was b.s. & the girls bowing out gracefully, was that much more saddening & angering, that they were used that way. maybe just don't write in female character's if this is how they will get treated. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************the 2nd gripe i've got, is the lack of screen time Bank & Pitch got in this last ep, let alone the whole BL. they were the perfect couple - couple goals. they were sweet, funny & had great chemistry - total green flags. so seeing more of them wouldn't just mean more comedy, but also a balm to the soul - given how refreshing, wholesome & sweet their scenes were. ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************regarding the mains, have to say i kinda lost interest by the end - i didn't get forcing Sky to go study abroad - other then the hope, distance would make the heart grow colder(??). but that not a full proof plan. ***********************************************so Sky better's himself only to turn around & assume the role of head mobster?!? what u need a degree nowadays to run the mob? but Sun didn't better himself - but cause Sky came back asking for Sun, they end up together & suddenly Sun worthy of Sky??? no logic - **********************************************************************************************************************b.s. writing if u ask me, if Sky's father is a true mobster, he would either get rid of Sun while his son was away or he would've caved in, if he loves his son so much & made Sun worthy of his son, by making him study in Thailand - oh whatever... this was cute, loved it cause of the 2nd couple. but thankful this only 8 ep's cause this dragged at times.

so much going on, i didn't like that at the start Sky used Toktaeng to get at Sun, this is the 2nd time he is giving her false hope & it's unfair, cause he knows now for sure that he doesn't like her. so using her only to break her heart is a d*ck move. *****************************************************************************************************************************************************he tends to be so impulsive, he doesn't think about more then one thing - Sun, he is focused on Sun, hurting him or getting a reaction from him & then he goes & gets kidnapped. ********************************************************************************even the end, he wasn't wrong in what he told his father - Sun isn't a pet or an object. but his father can only see his son. what he was wrong in, assuming - saying he & Sun would lead their own lives. that is wrong, Sun wasn't ready to admit he loved him cause of the obligation he feels towards Sky's father. Sky thinks he will abandon Sky's father cause of Sky??? after getting shot?!? not gonna happen. unless Sky's father gives him the OK. which i don't see happening - even though considering how much he loves Sky, maybe he will give in. idk - one more ep to go, so who knows how this will turn out. *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************the highlight of this ep was Bank & Pitch, going to help Sun rescue Sky. they were hilarious & so sweet. pity they don't have much screen time

The Next Prince: Uncut Episode 7

(đ€Ł WHAT WAS THAT? /coming soon/I would have never guessed thee will be a day when our dear fiery pigeons... are gonna be a highloght of an episode! You see? Never say never. Here we are, a week later! )*Reflections on the Series (Episodes 1â7)*Letâs divide this review into two major themes. First: the emotional journey and narrative pacing, and second: the technical and artistic aspects.Weâve now reached episode 7 â what seems to be a pivotal point â and while I can appreciate the âslow burnâ setup, I still feel somewhat unfulfilled. The series presents itself as an emotional, romantic journey with deep royal undertones, but it often skips the genuine building blocks that make the main relationship truly resonate. The closeness between Charan (Zee) and Khanin (Nunew), the supposed emotional center, feels rushed. The show leans on aesthetics and certain intimate scenes to suggest depth, but the actual emotional and narrative development hasnât earned it. Itâs like weâre being handed the climax of a relationship that never got the space to properly begin.Yes, the idea is that Charan is more guarded, stern, trying to establish boundaries â while Khanin, the prince, is bold and determined, pushing forward without apology. That dynamic is compelling on paper. But in execution, thereâs not enough interplay. There are glimpses â the tension, the teasing moments, the protectiveness â but they did let it simmer for too long for this to feel like a one night stand. Despite that, it still feels this way, lacking fully deserved payoff.*Missing Pieces: Emotional Development*The missed opportunities are striking. Take the scene with the butler â why not show him secretly following, discovering the truth himself, confronting directly? That wouldâve been a rich moment to explore his - theirs - emotional depth or even his strategic side.Where is the conflict? Where are the disagreements between the main male leads, that arenât just power dynamics or societal constraints? I wanted to see them disagree on values, on methods â something beyond the surface. Love isnât just harmony, it's also tension and compromise. Right now, everything is too... smooth. Too easy. Weâre told theyâre connected, but weâre not shown how or why, not in a way that lasts = Zee's not having distinctive bcg story; he has it, it is deep, but his char. is strongly underdeveloped in comparison to Nunew's character. Without that, how can Zee's char. compliment NN's character? The chemistry is there â but chemistry alone doesnât make a relationship. I want to see them challenge each other, support each other, grow through each other. Khaninâs character, in particular, needs more exploration. If heâs supposed to be the love interest, we should get more than just his devotion. What drives him? What are his weaknesses and strengths? What does he want, beyond Charan?*On Side Characters & Plot Distractions*Letâs be honest: the side characters are a mixed bag. Some of them actually do an incredible job in the limited screen time theyâre given â you can feel effort and thought in their performances â the older actors are skilled with such limited time. But the writing? Thatâs where it falters. There are storylines that just feel like distractions. The young woman who likes the her female advisor? (Is this a GL too?) Sheâs completely unnecessary. She doesnât pose any threat or contrast, nor does she push the plot forward. She's just there, and thatâs frustrating when the main relationship is begging for more screentime. Even more unnecessary is the storyline of Nat (the actor). Came too late, was present too short, no contribution so far from this direction. In fact, much of the scheming and court intrigue thatâs supposed to be happening in the background doesnât feel sharp enough. I get the intention, but the execution is too drawn out and wordy. If youâre going to keep these subplots, make them show their impact. Use fewer words, more visuals. Let us feel the stakes, not just hear about them.*The Visuals: Gorgeous... until theyâre not*Now, about the production: it's a strange mix of impressive and baffling. The set design? Honestly, it looks expensive â or at least it makes a good impression. Maybe itâs just clever camera work (sans detail / perspective takes that is), but it sells the fantasy. However, the CGI is... rough. Very rough. The pigeon creature, flags, erbs, the weird floating elements â they break immersion and scream low-budget. These scenes wouldâve been so much better left out entirely. Then there are the costumes. The male leads mostly look great, but the female characters? Some of their dresses feel like afterthoughts. It looks like she has stolen Hermione Granger's 4h year Ball dress (but cheaper version), like someone wanted to do a quick job and be done with it. Which gives off the impression of a series trying to look high-budget while cutting corners in the wrong places. Itâs frustrating because the contrast is so sharp â one moment youâre mesmerized, the next youâre pulled out by a bad accessory or awkward greenscreen shot.*What Could Be*The core of this story could be powerful. The series wants to be about loyalty, class difference, emotional restraint, and devotion. It wants to explore how a prince and his protector grow into something more. But it needs to trust that story more, and stop leaning on style and lacking tension to get there.I miss the early promise â when Charan seemed to be the stern guardian and Khanin the bratty prince who secretly admires him. That dynamic had so much potential. But now, their relationship feels underdeveloped. And by episode 7, we should be much further along emotionally than we are.Even the secondary couple â Jimmyâs character and his partner â somehow show more tension and growth than the main pair. That shouldnât happen. The contrast just highlights whatâs missing between Charan and Khanin.*Final Thoughts*What I really want is this: show me the charactersâ flaws and strengths, but in relationship. Let them disagree, let them hurt each other and come back together. Show me how they navigate their roles, their loyalty, and their love â not just through longing looks, but through action, choices, and consequences. As it stands, the show has charm, but not enough substance. Episode 7 gave us a dramatic payoff that simply wasnât earned. And unless that changes, the series will remain a beautiful shell â all style, not enough soul.
