Qiao Man was very cute using the letters home to send secret messages.🥰 This was a good way to communicate freely and support each other. I am surprised the mom spoke up about the grain. She was duped by empress but even the gma knew that. Crush girl did not deserve to die, but it was rather heartless that she was going to help a village starve by giving them cooked seed. It really was a case of jealous women rather than politics but it sure caused a lot of damage. And we did not get to see gma’s reaction to bracelet. For all the crap he did do, I am glad Yan is innocent. He will have to decide how to proceed but he does have some options. I hope he will figure out friend from foe and that he will make better use of himself now. Empress and that murdering boy of hers are kinda scary in their complete lack of remorse for the deaths they cause. They are like a plague or cancer that needs removed for the betterment of the world. For all his hedonistic ways, Yan is not as evil as these two. He truly hurts himself the most and in his misguided way was really trying to look out for his family. I did not expect to feel sympathy for him, but I find that I actually do. I wish he could go dry out and find a way to live through his art.

Xing Zhi only cares about Shen Li

Shen Li is a fighting Goddess but she was about to die in here. Xing Zhi saved her and show us that he doesn’t need anyone to deal with things. He is the God of Gods, all mighty. I liked how his amazing power is staged, really good special effects and great creativity. All powerful as Xing Zhi is, he still needs Fu Rong's help to heal Shen Li. Xing Zhi understands that there are two powers within her body that haven't completely merged, that the reason why it took so long to heal her. Xing Zhi is very touched by the frail Shen Li, it breaks his heart to see a tough warrior that weak. He keeps her in his arms for so long... but she is unconscious... Too easy, this is a very bad point.I've found Fu Rong very nice and charming in this episode. He is not as childish and coward as he was shown in previous episodes. This is a very good point.

Male vs female viper—who is most evil?

Wei Shao, as usual, is a very thorough master landowner. He keeps eyes on all accounts and tries to keep ahead of calamities for the general populace. He is still hiding from Qiao Man after Yan tells her Wei Shao read her letters home to him. She is rightfully angry but both of them need to be more open about state vs personal matters. They continue to work better as a pair but there is plenty of bad blood between their families. Now that the canal will be extended to Rongjun, they see the new couple as an even bigger threat. Yan is handed a dagger to kill Wei Shao so he can be heir. He is considered a bastard so that is why he is allowed to live such a reckless life. He makes it clear he doesn’t care what happens to Qiao Man…to include death, but he draws the line at killing family. At least he has one. Qiao family is skeptical about wheat seeds. They see it as feeding enemy troops in future. This is what got them in trouble 14 years ago.The empress is fixing it so that she will arrive alone and like Yan is a favorite of gma. How is it that she is most attracted to vipers of the worst sort. That building collapse actually had her smiling. She is a piece of work willing to leave a trail of dead if they get in her way. This party bodes ill for everybody.😝

OMG nanon's character is exactly the kind of guy my mum tells me to stay away from (red flag that is lol) like fr if you see a guy like this GURL RUN!!!!!! ohh my boy tee is here aswell (imina dewtee)... i like her sairung personality as of now. well at first i thought it would be difficult for her to portray different personalities but i think she can pull it off + nanon and her look good together!! i was like "ohh she's a good singer" then i remembered she's a member of 4eve 💀🤡 ofc she can sing lol. woahh this drama is niceee this is what a romcom should be like not smth like STGD!!!!! i'm waiting for junior's entry ik he'll make this show 10x better instantly!! nice start for 1st episode tho 8.5/10

I cant get over how much i love this show

I do not know what happened last week but I am here and I am excited. I am already pissed off by just seeing sorns face so this should be a good episode. I guess I hope they have more time for their relationship while also keeping this weird dynamic up because I am so obsessed with it i can't explain it. DONT LET THAT FREAK IN. Dont let him. YES JUN YES. FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS. Champ is a snitch and Sorn getting on everyone nerves. Like i know sorn likes him but this is not the way to do it. Jun if you let him in and yall have sex it loses the weight of everything you just said lmao. I am so proud of Jun holy shit. We all stood and clapped. I felt a disturbance in the universe. Family affair helping him move. Felt a disturbance when I saw those shorts. WHOSE ON SOUNDTRACK? DONT RUSH ME KATIE 98.7% ACCURACY. Okay yeah, I wish they ended on our main couple but those two are def gay and in love becasue why do you mean he knows how to help. So they have done this before? 9/10 cant wiat for next week. okay bye!

Puppet master

Seems dear uncle is simply puppet to break up any chance of Qiao / Wei alliance. There is reasonable circumstances to hold grudges…but these two work so much better together for the good of everybody. The only fallout is with meddling family members intent on stirring things up. I am disappointed that Wei Shao has such little regard for her strategic and tactical ideas. The more she shines the more that covetous lech uncle wants her. He is definitely in it for whatever perk he’s been offered, but she definitely has his attention which takes some doing since he is so jaded about women in general. He is too free in her personal space and I want him flattened for that. Wei Shao should not have returned drawing. He should have just said that no woman looking like this was interested. Now he has his drawing of her to drool and moon over. He is really a sad shadow of a man thinking he is God’s gift to women. The bruise over tavern girl’s eye shows his real treatment of women. That Gma is so willingly taken in by this creep is sad and disheartening. He is going to cause some real trouble and it won’t be for himself alone. I can only hope his lecherous ways pays him back in bodily afflictions that will keep him from breeding or living to ripe old age. I guess he is the Chinese Hugh Hefner of this drama😝🙄I don’t see him finding a way to redeem himself or even wanting to by the end of the drama. Wei Shao is at least warned and is loosely monitoring things but I don’t think he is aware the depths this uncle could go. I am not even sure the uncle is sure. He is determined to be the serpent to test their marriage and that is most likely not going to end til he is gone. I vote for permanently but will settle for relocated. Qiao Man has put so much effort into this bday party. It remains to be seen if it will be a triumph or debacle. I just hope Wei Shao sticks close to her no matter the distraction so that whatever happens he will be there for her. The dam has been opened and the canal filled so one bit of good news.

Uncle snake🐍 and empress fated 😝

Wei Shao decides to stay home and delegates the canal inspection to a newer general. He then surprises his wife by eating with her. She catches him liking the belt she made and grins. This was a cute moment. Wei Shao puts Qiao Man in charge of Gma’s bday celebration. It is an honor of trust but a very big undertaking for a new member of household. Qiao Man has the wisdom to seek mom’s advice in spite of their differences. There is an arrival of a rakish uncle who came for the celebration. The Gma gives him and Wei Shao rough jade stones that are priceless. They decide to make a bracelet for Gia’s bday and while showing jeweler the stone a horse distracts and it is dropped. Enter the uncle who saves the day by sketching a bracelet design and tries to flirt with Qiao Man with a piece of jewelry. She declines and he leaves in a bit of a huff. He visits later and admires and hides the bracelet. He acts like she is incompetent to Wei Shao.This guy is worse than the mom because he has a brain cell.😝 The jade bracelet is ok but now he has Wei Shao on the hook for the other piece of jade. The two pieces of jade were very different colors so it should not have been the emerald green color of first bracelet. And this time gma will be no help because snake is a favorite. She will see him as a dear rascal that isn’t evil but mischievous. He is a whole lot of ick. While he will have a distasteful presence I don’t see Qiao Man not being able to handle him. A new couple is introduced. It is clear there is something wrong with the husband and the wife has evil stamped all over her. She is crush girl 2.0 or higher. She has power goals and it is clear hubby is not part of them. It is unclear at present what part she has with Wei family, but she is going to be a bigger problem than uncle lech.
