I have to say, it drew me in from the very beginning of the episode! I was so satisfied after finishing the first episode! I originally started the drama for Xiao Zhan. But the beginning is such that I am now watching the drama like crazy!

Wow, this episode was wild. Big reveals, real emotion, and just enough blood to make you wince. Everyone's losing their minds, alliances are breaking, and the stakes are higher than ever. The pacing was tight, and emotionally it really landed.

OneLuffy Escaping from the tombs was just the easy step but now he has to deal with this Yang character. Reminds you of how people in power always use those that don't have any and just pass their works as their own to continue their dying careers. And that is exactly what Yang is - a man with no great characteristics but he knows how to steal from those that are smart. I really can't wait to see how Zang Hai outsmarts all of them - which doesn't seem like he will need to do much because they aren't really that smart to begin with. It is quite obvious what their intentions are - not even trying to hide it.

Personally I love tomb raiding and trying to figure ways out of all the traps that are laid in those said tombs. This episode did a great job but sadly only 1 person survived. I did wish a few did survive especially the man with the son but they had to die so cruelly. Just goes to show how evil PingJing really is - putting people in a situation that he knew they would never be able to come out of just to say he is doing something. This episode also shows how smart Zang Hai is. He doesn't try to completely outsmart his enemies because it is obvious that PingJing doesn't trust anyone (hence the reason why he always wears a gold chain armor). He made it so his plans could be seen so PingJing could put his guard down that he isn't some mysterious person but just a orphan that wants to gain fame and power by being by his side.

This episode was just a summary of what happened to Zang Hai once he was found by his savior. The guy in the mask does have me questioning what his reasons are. I have watched enough dramas to know that anyone in a mask always ends up to become a villain (I do hope that isn't the case for this time). I think the part of him learning crafts was straight and to the point AND it made sense. They didn't teach him kung fu because clearly his enemy has the power, money and experience. No amount of time will allow him to catch him through strength alone. He needs to be smarter than him and that is his only way. The pen is mightier than the sword after all. And the "plastic surgery" part also made sense because the entire time I was thinking no way his enemy won't be able to tell that he is the son of the man he killed 10 years ago - they are going to look very much similar.

This episode started off great - especially the slight supernatural element to have you interested. I have my own thoughts of what that ghost army might be about - PingJing might want the artifact because it can control the dead so he could have an army to overthrow the emperor (just a guess though). The massacre of Zang Hai's family and friends was completely cruel - especially the deaths of the children. I can completely understand why he wants revenge. I hope Zang Hai slowly tortures him and takes everything from him - one by one.

Mad-Clown could have explored this period a bit more, loved the teacher-student dynamic and learned skills wanted more of it but probably planning to milk that in future episodes.the 2 episodes worked in tandem to set up the setting and now we are off to the races.

simple and clear, exactly an opening a revenge plot needs.The tragedy is clearly and vividly showcased, the usual Cdrama troupe of showcasing a lot of the cast in ep1 itself still exists, still since a lot of them wont seen again it cleared up the load :P
