Park Hae Jin you beautiful, gorgeous being!

first up, holy hell. i didn't expect to be so drawn into this drama within just 1 minute of running time. fckin incredible. Park Hae Jin...!!! OMG he looks so damn handsome in this. i have seen him in Bad Guys, Doctor Stranger, 7 First Kisses and Cheese in the Trap and now i know all he needed was the best fitting hairstyle, flattering clothes and beautiful, beautiful smile that really suits him and bam! we get to see one of the most good-looking Korean actors ever. i realise that i am very easily distracted and amused by flashy things LOL and this first episode was executed nothing short of a movie quality, damn. i was so awestruck by it. especially the first 20 minutes, and they shot so many difficult and extravagant scenes for his secret agent missions in Hungary.i really wanna go along to know what's the negative reviews are all about. so far it seemed like i'm really gonna enjoy this LOL.

Hook Up (2020) Episode 7: Stop Luke & Listen

With this episode shooting down the idea of Mark hooking up with Lucas, Hook Up seemed to be back on track. The plot/storyline progressed in Episode 7: Stop Luke & Listen to set-up next week's finale. Mark showed his vulnerable side in this episode. While Lucas was still annoying, we at least learned some things about him that could explain why he is the way he is. Screenplay was realistic enough. Even the serious lines with Tita Cassie were measured enough not to be preachy. Acting performance, especially from Niko and Marky, was good. Special mention goes to Marky who has gone a long way since his Truly Very Yours days. His acting performance on this episode was certainly admirable. If there's one issue I had with this episode, it's with the camera shots. I don't get it why they had to cut off Tita Cassie's head on parts of her scenes. Anyway, another nice thing about this episode, it's not immune from what's happening in the real world. When this episode started and ended with a socially relevant message, it was sincere, it wasn't tokenistic at all. Hook Up's cast and crew have always been consistent about their views on societal issues. On Edge

This has to be my favorite episode, after the 9th one. I was glued to my seat. Of course every episode has been tense with comedic moments but this felt different, maybe because we're nearing the end. Whenever Youngro & Sooho kept talking about seeing each other again, a little piece of my heart broke knowing that's unlikely. It's not as I'm surprised, but the old man ended up being the mole & Sooho's mother ended up being the NK woman who kept giving orders to kill him. Though neither of those were a surprise, the reveal was still entertaining to watch. The old man was given the orders to kill Sooho & the other agents, except Cheongya & the NK woman is another parent who is willing to sacrifice their child for power. Sooho's expression when he found out was a tug to the heart. (Haein better get all the nominations!) Speaking of a tug to the heart, Sooho saying goodbye to Youngro & trying to get her to see the bitter truth about them seeing each other again was also sad to watch. As for the comedy, it was so funny to see Youngro's dad show up to arrest Taeil & Mr. Ahn as they turned the camp into a circus.
