The way the creators wanted to combine the investigation and mystery with comedy reminds me of what was done in "Midnight Runners". Comparing the two films, I liked "Midnight Runners" more. It was a little bit more serious and the comedy was just an addition that didn't disturb. "Miss and Mrs Cops" for me is like a comedy with the addition of a serious investigation.

I know this movie is also a comedy. But it could be better balanced. The comedy bits were sometimes poor and as they dragged on throughout the movie, it felt like there were too many of them.

So of course your point of view depends on what you expect from the movie at the moment.

Could have been amazing, if kept on a smaller scale.

My biggest issue was how unrealistic this whole plot was, and how it forced too many characters to act painfully stupid - this stopped me from getting immersed into the story and caring for the characters.

The setting is truly interesting and allows you to slowly build the atmosphere. The dark tunnels, small spaces - all anxiety inducing. You could potentially feel the disorientation of the characters, when they are being chased by the killer. Sadly, I could not feel it. Why?

With the number of victims, the police reaction, or rather the lack of reaction, was quite ridiculous. It would be better to not involve the police at all, and make me wonder where they are when needed, than make me suffer watching this level of incompetence and lack of care.

I can deal with one stupid character… maybe two. But all of them? That’s just a pain for my brain. I get it, if everyone is smart, the movie ends before it starts. Just write a smart villain with a realistic setting that does not need characters with two brain cells to make it work.

Was the villain part of some supernatural evil gang? He was undestructable. I feel like one could cut his head off, and he would go: day like any other.

So, what’s good? Amazing performance. It’s Jung Kyung Ho we’re talking about. I am 100% certain he can sell literally any role and make it good. I also really liked Choi Deok Moon as Jong Ho, one of the victim’s father. Yun Seo had some clever tricks and moves, so it was truly entertaining to watch her navigate this deadly underground labyrinth.

Overall, good suspense, good visuals, great idea - if only they lowered the number of initial victims and kept the police away from it. Make it only a story of Yun Seo, Soo Jung and Jong Ho, and I would love it.

Heard bad - expected bad - was not that bad

[Spoiler free version]

I’ve seen negative thoughts on this movie. They were mostly based on the character’s actions not the story.

I admit, I did watch this movie because of Karry Wang, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with his acting. It’s not out of this world, but I’ve seen worse, so I’m not adverse to it.

The style that this is filmed in is what I like, it has a somber overtone, and a bit confusing with it’s cuts. I enjoy watching things that leave me confused. That may not be the thing for you, but it was a little confusing at times.
But in the end, it doesn’t leave you wondering in regards to plot. It ties everything up.

It’s not a gut puncher with emotions, but it’s definitely not happy either. I think it’s good for a watch when you have time, it’s a revenge plot, sort of mystery? It doesn’t really hold your attention, but it’s still entertaining to watch. The story is nothing new, but I’m fine with that.
It was pretty (visually) to watch, I like looking at sets and such, so that was one of the more interesting parts of this movie lol
The backgrounds were all really nice.

If you’re looking for happiness and such, don’t watch it.

[review with spoilers, beware, the whole ending is said]

SO.

People seem to not like the decisions that Xiao Yu (FL) made. Selfish and stupid. Unwise. If she had just gone to the police with the evidence Meng Yao (ML) wouldn’t have had to die.
While yes, logically, that is true. I didn’t get that all when I was watching the movie. Her actions (to me) fit with her current state.
While Zhu Fang Zheng (her beloved godfather) is the man who killed her father, she didn’t know that. At the time of her father’s death, he became her guardian and caretaker. She loved him, she trusted him, and she cared for him.
To learn of someone so close to you, not only being not who you knew them to be, but your father’s killer? That’s going to destroy you. Not only that, but you’ll have denial.
Her hesitating on wanting to turn in the evidence was annoying in terms of justice, but it wasn’t annoying regarding the character’s situation.

Meng Yao’s death.
I wasn’t expecting it, but it also didn’t really hit that hard. Not as hard that main character deaths usually do. I wasn’t too attached to his character, but I was sad for the FL.
They could have not killed him off, it wasn’t necessary. But it was just one of those plots I guess.

Overall, I did enjoy the movie. I don’t regret watching it. Will I watch it again? No.

It was a nice way to take a break (I watched this movie in increments while working, maybe that’s why I didn’t get attached to the characters lol)

How to make a horrible movie from a beautiful drama

How to turn a 58 episodes drama to 1 hr. 40 min movie?
I was curious that's why I watched it, and the answer I found is: "Let's skip 29 episodes and start from ep30 and make all what happend before as hasty flashbacks that give you no emotion, then let's ruin the most satisfiying scene of FL's revenge, and we can just leave the guy she've been trying to revive for 70.000 years frozen there who cares, let's turn a phoenix god to a peacock, and make everything goes so fast, who cares about new viewers understanding of the story? people who watched the drama will understand what scenes we are referring to. The ending? Do we actually have to give it a clear ending? All what matter is bringing a beautiful FL and handsome ML and let's make sure that they look gorgeous in evey scene that will be enough."

The Acting

Everything about this Movie touched my heart ❤️ the movie really screamed "even if they don't love you back always fight for them no matter what because in the end it will be worth it" even tho it ended how I didn't want it to end I still loved it, even the superheros in the movie played a keyrole. Everything really was put together nicely, but I swear y'all could have ended it to where I wouldn't cry ?? y'all had me in tears at 11:43 at night. I wish it could have ended a different way but at least he got to hear that last word to what he wanted "yes". Yes is all he ever wanted to hear, his true love saying yes as he left the world as someone who saved her. Na but Flash ? y'all didn't have to do my man like that ?

cute funny movie

This is a cute funny time travel movie.
Likes:
1. The two time periods: I thought how they moved between time periods was well done. It was nice to see both time periods being actively used to progress the story.
2, I liked the interaction between the female and male leads.
3;I thought it was funny how they tried to get rich in the past and it failed.
4. The humor I thought was good.
5. They spelled out the time travel rules for this movie which was nice. In other movies and tv shows about time travel the rules are often left unexplained and it can cause confusion in enjoying the show. You could almost say they broke one rule at the end at this movie if you were being nit picky.
Dislikes:
1. I didn't like the ending. I thought the ending could have been much better.I thought the ending was lacking. I like clear cut happy endings. This was left as an open ending. Although, in the end credit scenes that were not translated into English the relationship appeared to be more defined.

I enjoyed the movie except for the ending. The story was good and so was the acting.I gave it an 8 because of the ending.

"We're at that age where tomorrow might never come. [but,] I know you don't need to worry about that now."

PROS
- Even though you've seen similar concepts in other films, this one has a unique and meaningful approach
- The movie is mostly fun and light-hearted and also has some touching, sentimental moments
- The comedic elements are so well done and the old lady is a total savage most of the time
- Shim Eun-Kyung is such a charming actress; her intentionally awkward character shines so brightly
- The old people are delightfully funny

CONS
- Get ready for tears (this really isn't a bad thing, but it should be considered, since most of the film is so hilarious and light-hearted)
- Although well-executed, there is an overly-dramatized, cliched moment with the writing near the ending
_________________________________________________________________

Well, here's another awesome movie that hard to NOT recommend. Shi, Eun-kyung is one of my favorite actresses and every time I see her in a movie, it ends up in my "favorites list."

This was such a comforting film for me, as I've been missing my grandma a lot lately. We would have loved seeing this together.

9/10

Jeong Ga-yeong's (playing herself in her own short film) clear fandom for not only Jo In Sung, but other film actors themselves is so infectious. Her shock and excitement while subdued in her voice, is screaming in her face and smile when Jo In Sung calls her interested about the project. In such a short 19 minute film, we see someone who's just hoping to cast her favourite actor, someone that she perhaps has a crush on, in an upcoming project of hers. It was honestly quite captivating. Witty, clever and meta. So meta.

More of an outline than a full documentary

Put simply, it's an outline of a BL industry documentary. Lots of relevant points were brought up, but in such a brief and unspecific way that only really early newcomers might see as useful.

Topics included:
- History and rise of Yaoi, Y series, and BL
- Fan club opinions of the appeal of BL series
- Popularity in the novelty of the illegal
- Romanticized and normalized portrayal of sexual harassment and rape in BL
- Homophobia among BL crew members during film shootings (apparently some may have turned around and puked afterwards)
- The separation of actor and character when filming
- How controlling the industry is over the actors
- How some activism needs to stay backstage in order to avoid collateral damage to the actors
- Shipping culture and the tendency to see characters (and by extension, the actors/idols that play them) as their metaphoric children
- BL actors' activism and presence in society

I suppose this information could prompt curiosity in newcomers, but the trick would be to get it in front of them.
I did however enjoy seeing cameos and interviews from some familiar faces, as well as several clips and references to shows and headlines I remembered or missed.

I do think that another documentary should be done on this topic - to elaborate on the topics, give more testimony, and (no hate intended) find better fan club spokespersons (it's not that they particularly said anything wrong, it's just that they really didn't add much to the conversation - despite being in an excellent position to do so).

So much entertainment and fun in one movie.

When a movie starts with a demon making some good points, you know it’s gonna be a hell(a) ride. I almost cried from laughing while watching.

So much of this was just ridiculous and funny. The characters had no brains and it made the movie even better. The dialogues between some characters were truly gold. I honestly want a spinoff with the two priests arguing about exorcism and Satan.

The only good things about the movie were the visuals and acting. And by visuals, just the practical makeup, because the design was more or less any other possession/zombie stuff. Honestly, what’s with Korea and zombies and possessed folks looking the same?

The plot? Extremely predictable - same old possession story. They took it a bit further, casting no mediocre demon though.

There were so many overwhelming moments (for various reasons) I truly had the time of my life watching. It’s been a long time since I laughed so bad watching horror. It was exactly what I needed. Metamorphosis would be an amazing buddy watch.

Overall - great watch for fellow atheists to have some fun. No idea how scary it would be for people who believe.

Ps. Described some highlights in a comment below under a spoiler.

relatable to those who got homemade lunch box

●BENTO HARASSMENT reminds me of an Indian movie titled “The Lunch Box” which is about two strangers who bond together after it gets mis-delivered to a man, made by a wife for her husband. They both send the letter in the box.
In Bento Harassment mother crafts messages with food for her teen daughter.

●This movie is so relatable to me, and It might sound bad, but my mom just made one food for my lunchbox for almost 6years and when I reached my early teens I stopped taking lunchbox because I was bored and embarrassed to eat the same dish every day. I endured those 6hours with the breakfast I ate in the morning. My mother never asked the reason was sad though. I ain’t complaining but am super impressed how the mother in the movie cared so much for her daughter, also that single father who was a newbie at bento making was awesome.

●It was heartwarming to see a mother trying to bond with her rebellious daughter over food. And the messages of correct parenting were sent to the viewers. Do not pressurize your kid but try to talk with them, if not by mouth then with messages or any other way, when you put effort into parenting, Kids will surely feel your love and care.

●Story is comical and heartwarming simultaneously. It later becomes serious but maintains its warmth until the end.

●The acting is decent by everyone. No Complaints. I love the actress Playing the mother, the way she felt happy while making food was nice to see.

●My favorite scene is when both mom-daughter prepare the bento together.
●My favourite Bento Lunch Box was the last one, the graduation Bento.

An All-time Great

When the conversation turns to Japanese action movies, Crows Zero is usually one of the first that are mentioned – and for a reason. Almost fifteen years after its release, it is still one of the greatest. Fast-paced, entertaining, and feel-good, it is so rewatchable that I keep returning to it like to an old friend, and now that I have rewatched it I came here to tell you why you should make it your friend too.

1. First-rate Action.

The drawback of many action movies are the slow motion scenes. They were discovered somewhere along the way, and now it seems that they are all directors know. Their abundance has turned them into a tiresome cliché that has made me skip a lot of action scenes. This movie avoids this pitfall. The action is filmed in a realistic way that conveys the chaos and speed of fights among groups of violent, and remarkably well-trained, delinquents.
Most importantly, everyone, including the main characters, gets hurt. There is none of Hollywood's favorite "the extras die from a kick in the shin, the main character is unscathed after taking down fifty armed men" here, and I appreciate this. If you like action, you will not be disappointed.

2. Hot Guys.

Aside from the top-notch action, you will be treated to gorgeous visuals. Some of the unhinged delinquents of Suzuran High do not have to worry about neglecting their studies. In case they decide to leave the gang life behind, they can achieve success in life by pursuing modelling careers. It is not only Genji Takiya with his anime proportions who attracts attention, but also Tamao Serizawa, Tokio, Izaki, and many others. Every time several of them are in one frame it is difficult to choose whose looks to admire.

3. Characters and Relationships.

But what makes this movie a true treasure among its counterparts is its characters and their relationships with each other. Although they are used to solving every problem with their fists, the characters are all likeable and easy to sympathize with because they know good from bad and have human flaws. From bromance to friendship, to romance, their relationships convey important messages about loyalty, forgiveness, and sacrifice.
The highlight of the movie is the friendship between eccentric yakuza Ken and Genji, a transferee to Suzuran, who is good at throwing punches and bad at social skills. The bond that they build over the course of the story is the catalyst for their significant character development. For Ken, Genji is a second chance to live his youth, to redeem past mistakes and find a new meaning in life. For Genji, Ken becomes a caring mentor, a father figure who substitutes his own emotionally distant father and helps him navigate human relationships, which cannot be sorted out with fists.
No less touching and beautiful are the bromance between Serizawa and his best friend, Tokio, whose loyalty to and love for each other are so strong that many romance couples seem inferior if compared to them, and the friendship that Genji develops with the members of his gang.

Overall, if you are tired of plotless action movies with unlikeable characters, this movie will be a breath of fresh air for you. It is over two hours long, but I think that those hours will be well-spent.

Misleading poster -

I basically watch some movies if the poster is interesting. ...and so did I end up watching this ,,,,,,it was quite misleading as the protagonist was not the actress but the actor.....and to my surprise it was my fav star KIM KANG WOO....heart eyess

Kim Sang-kyung and Kim Kang-woo acquit themselves well in their respective roles but it is Kim Hee-ae as Yoon Seol-hee, the deceived wife whose love for her husband will eventually result in her death, who stands out even though her role is limited. Kim brings a pathos to the role, that was missing from her equivalent in the original film, and is therefore an empathetic character – indeed perhaps the only one in the film.

“The Vanished” is a more than proficient directorial debut marking Director Lee out as someone to watch for in the future.

Actress says more with the swish of a wine glass than either of her co-stars do with multiple monologues.....No role for her

The toxic ML destroys an otherwise emotional movie

I wish we could have gotten to see the growth of true Chinese BL screen adaptations so that this isn't the legacy they are left with. Look, even with the poor image quality of the version I found, you could tell these actors were doing a great job portraying their characters. You could hear everything in their voices. Glee. Reservation. Relief. And you can definitely feel bad for the plight they are in, but it's way too fast-paced to really connect with the characters and feel impacted by the story (without the associations and emotions lingering from other productions with similar plots that is, or without the personal experiences being attached to their plight). The pace very much feels like it belongs to a collection of short films, rather than one full-length one, or characteristic of multiple unannounced time skips.

Furthermore, it's just really really hard to root for Lu Feng. Their relationship is so incredibly toxic and harmful. He's headstrong, aggressive, authoritative, and immature. And grand gestures simply can't fix everything. And you'd think that, considering they know the plight they are in, that they would be more careful about their actions in public.

I absolutely adored the music though. And there were some really memorable scenes. Such as the custom couple rings done at the beginning of the movie - that I really wish we see more of in other productions. The surprisingly good amount of communication (not enough to even begin to contradict all that's wrong in their relationship, but it is there). And there were a couple of scenes that remind of my much beloved scenes from Skam and Semantic Error.

Honestly, it could have been a great movie (sequel events aside), if only Lu Feng wasn't so incredibly toxic. But alas, I do understand that it's probably MEANT to be toxic (from what I know about the sequel). I don't think we're supposed to think it's romantic.

Good movie but unimpactful

●There is a phrase in my country “every man's heart way is through his stomach” but my opinion is “every person's hearts way is via the stomach regardless of gender”
If we eat a dish made with love even after a long time it will be imprinted on our memory.

●This movie had many elements in the story inclusive of amnesia, accidents, soul-switch, delicious food cooking, Piano playing, childhood friendship, and wedding. Despite having all such crazy stuff it is subtle and calm.

●Nothing is overdone and tragedy, romance, drama everything is well incorporated. Just like a meal consisting of various dishes and everything is delicious and enjoyable.

●Acting is average. No one impresses actually. But I really liked the FL and her way of savoring each dish. She was truly happy eating those dishes.

●Story is simple and sends up a message If You love someone and afraid to lose, be brave to confess if you can't let go.
The music is isnt great. and rewatch is not possible for such an unimpactful movie.
