Painfull, touching, beautifully made... but pain, pain and pain

This was such a painful story so well written, so well preformed not very entertaining so a typical high score for well made touching story that needed to be told and not so much for it´s entertainment value...

So if you are looking for something fun to watch this is probably not it!

However if you are in need of cleansing your eyes for protection or other reasons, and want to see a movie that deals with loss, terminal illness, parent-teen relationships, different sided to the same story, pain, pain, more pain... in a colorful sometimes even fun way look no further this is the perfect eye cleanser!

I loved how they portray the different characters way of dealing with grief thru the eyes of a teen with (not so) colorful sketches.

I loved the way this is edited with flashbacks done well and perfectly fitted.

The pace is good, the colour scheme fits in so well but what makes this brilliant is all the realism and the small details... a book, a ring tone, a medical device in the bathroom all there like nails right thru the heart.

The added cheerful music and the colourful theatre are such great contrast and mood setters making this movie one of those few you are sure to remember for a long time.

Verbal "Slapstick" Movie, especially for guys!

The MAIN problem with this movie is which 'version' of it you watch ONLINE:

The uploaded film under "Who Slept With Her" online is the only full movie that is available unless you find it somewhere besides YouTube.

The version under the name "Hot For Teacher" is lacking the last 10 minutes, and the explanation of the two teachers who slept" together is omitted (the same way that the film "Lover's Concerto (2002)" on YouTube was cut by 10 minutes by the uploader, changing the ending!).

The other movie, also called by an alternate name of this movie, is about another entirely different teacher in a co-ed high school, not a all-boy Catholic high school! Since I have control over the uploading by others, I cannot change this.

Also, the edited version and the copycat name movie do not develop the side stories at all: for example, Wolf's "problem" is not even mentioned (being edited out) in the abridged movie.

It is nothing more than a 'verbal slapstick" movie to be watched for fun; with every conceivable innuendo about women that you can find...nothing more, nothing less!

To my knowledge, there is no law that says that a movie has to prove a point, or make a social statement or even make a person thing; try the 1963 American movie "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". Its director, Stanley Kramer, known for his heavy 'social problems' dramas, took a sabbatical and made one of the funniest movies in American history, with no redeeming social statements.

I loved the way that the female lead Eom Ji Young (Kim Sa Rang), known for her acting ability in several movies and dramas, endorsed this happy-go-lucky mentality and created a great movie that any guy, or girl, can get lost in! She doesn't let anyone phase her or make her mad; she simply smiles and beats everyone at their own game! She seems to know that she is HOT, but let's the students - and faculty and staff - let their imaginations run wild and continually flatter her with praise and proposals.

The music, especially the dance music, is great and her and the students' dancing is fabulous in their school presentation. The main male leads do an excellent job pretending to be high school students as well.

The support cast was all excellent, but Sirasoni (Lee Hyuk Jae) is who really made the entire movie so funny! A professional comedian, which few websites give him credit for being, took every incident between the teacher Eom Ji Young and the other students wrong and made the movie so funny!

He should have been listed as a main cast member, for without him misinterpreting everything, there would have been few laughs from the antics of the other love-lorn students and male faculty members.

This movie was not supposed to be 'developed' anymore than it was turned out to be. Just click on the movie, sit back with a cool drink and popcorn and laugh yourself silly!

RE-WATCH when you want to laugh out loud anytime!

A cute, warm story that you should check out.

This is gonna be very short but sweet, just like the kiss scenes in this movie.

I haven't watched the series yet (I thought that I would watch the movie first to see if I liked the production) but I probably will do that soon.
The story was a nice change for once. I, who have been watching around 60 BL dramas just enjoyed the fact that there was an openly queer character already at the start of the movie, and I loved the fact that we gays got the "typical" straight triangle drama, where they actually say that they like someone and that everyone in the triangle was guys.
I definitely recommend this movie for a cold winter evening where you feel kinda shit. It will lighten up your mood immensely with its cuteness and warmth. It really showed that you can bring a lot of drama with only a gang of five people.
I'm kinda sad over the lack of kisses tho, but the story was cute and a nice change for once.

Too much realism

Sorry guys but I have to agree with MOST of the negative reviews on this one. The plot sucked, story with the twist could have been done so much better with the cast that they had and it fails to grab you. Would I ever rewatch this? NO!!!!! There’s enough reality in this world to keep people jolted awake, why make the ending like so many other real relationships? Why not develop the characters to grow and come back together with a genuine love for one another. This too can be a real life ending but sheesh you ruined it for me!!!!

I laughed at the absurdity of it all and mourned the utmost mundane in life. Are we just machines that are constantly aiming for a timely deadline? Can a glimpse of summer brighten our blues?

This was truly a light and uncomplicated take regarding the time travel theme. In spite of its absurdist comedy performed by its stupidly quirky characters, it turned out to be more clever. Without it being too straightforwardly philosophical, the subtlety of its dialogue suggested otherwise.

"Isn't it more logical to think everything's decided from the start?"

"Can one change their name?"

There's the philosophical, theological, and scientific musing going between these two conclusions from two different characters: Predestination vs. Free Will. Personally, I think that both concepts are two sides of the same coin. Both are true, co-existing, and complementary of each other. Just as how we are both made of objective truths and subjective ideas. So, keep laughing at the absurdity of it all and mourning the mundane. As time is an unstoppable force that always comes and goes, yet, there is summer that can also be an enforceable idea and a state of mind.

A very good redeem and reference on A Beauty of Revenge

In here, we see YeoBin, YeongJae and HoTae on a parallel world. This is a very good reference on A Beauty of Revenge. I was pretty disappointed about the ending of A Beauty of Revenge so I'm really glad that in this short film, HoTae is a good person.

YeoBin and YeongJae really looks cute together. My heart is just purely shipping. YeongJae is so cute with his flustered face. The writing is simple yet very purposeful. There's a funny scene, there's a romantic scene and the referencing of A Beauty of Revenge. Even the PPL is so smooth that I find it so funny and cute.

If you have watched A Beauty of Revenge, please watch this. This is the "what could've been that didn't happen' on A Beauty of Revenge.

Literally a feast for the eyes.

First things first. Absolutely everyone and everything looks amazing in this movie. The grand production, the costumes and the effects. It is visuals 10/10. A real feast for the eyes. Oh, did I already say hot guys everywhere?! Special mention Killing Stone!

The story was quite simple yet I still found compelling. There are few things I didn’t expect and came as a surprise. I was totally captivated by the Princess and Shoyue. The tragic undertone was beautiful. If there’s any criticism, I wish there was more of it.

I struggle with watching movies these days, but I thoroughly enjoyed this fanfare. It is very straightforward, delivered an awesome climax and gave a satsifying ending. The fights were choreographed to perfection.

Watch it for pure entertainment value. Don’t take it too seriously and you will not be disappointed.

Long review, just like the movie

I avoided this movie for SO LONG, to be honest, one of the reasons was – the movie is almost 3 hours long. I found it on youtube, uploaded ages ago, so the fact that it will be available at any time was one of the reasons I was not in a hurry. I watched Thai BL movies and series – so many of them, so the expectation from something made in 2007...they were very low. And some more new, and fresher were straight-up rubbish, let us be honest. So I avoided it a bit.
BUT... Once I started, I had that „Dew the movie“ vibe, even though they have absolutely nothing in common... I was shortly hooked and almost 3 hours passed like 45 minutes, and not a minute more. The weirdest thing is that I caught myself praying for a happy ending like a teenage girl that I am (definitely) NOT. And the ending was... well I tried to find the right words, and BITTERSWEET was something that fitted it perfectly.

What I loved:
• Acting, boys were great
• Music was fun. It is not my cup of tea, but it nicely followed the youth, the emotions, and the overall storyline

What I didn’t like:
• Some deep issues were merely touched so I would skip some details from the story if I do not have enough time to tell them with the depth that these details require
• Ending. I love the complexity of a tragedy or unfulfilled love. The whole concept of the one that got away, secret crushes, and all the forbidden loves type of stories are my jam. I like a bit of sadness at the end. But this time was different, either I was becoming super soft and emotional, or … the ending sucked.

I understand the symbolism of the Christmas ornaments etc…I just do not understand if this ending was intentionally made to be easier for the straight and homophobic audience, or what…
I love you, I told my mom I prefer boys, you love me back, I kissed you first…but I cannot be your boyfriend. Well, it might be a teen thing, again, it has been a while since I was in their skin experiencing my first gay crush…I might felt differently back then. I do not know!

CONCLUSION: I liked the movie, I am thinking about it. I think if the movies and the series that came after 2007 analyzed this story close enough there would not be bad series today. I felt like Love of Siam has a stronger story, stronger emotion, and the stronger impact than the tones of BLs that came after. Thankfully, that is changing now.

Overall, I can say that I would be proud that in 2007, in my country I had an opportunity to watch something that resembles Love of Siam. But that was not the case!

A disappointing, empty, pointless documentary

A documentary is not fiction, but it's still meant to tell a story. Blackpink: The Movie does not. Instead of any cohesive through line it skips unpredictably between backstage clips from their tour or online concert, to concert performances, to art-house style films for each member, to group Q&A, then back to concert clips and so on. There's no emotional rise or fall, no overcome conflicts, not even much of a sense of accomplishment. Even the interviews are low on information content, instead being mostly a mix of emotional self-expression, thanking the fans, and wishing to see them soon.

By contrast Blackpink: Light Up The Sky tells a clear story, of the rise of Blackpink from pre-debut through to their 2019 Coachella performances. Skip this and watch Light Up The Sky instead.

Light fast-moving action making this very enjoyable movie

This is the second installment from the Demon-Subduing Division series, fitting nicely into the Chinese Fantasy genre. Though it is part of a mini-series setup, it can be watched as a standalone movie, but watching the first movie may help to clarify some of the finer points of the movie.
This is one of those movies you watched for enjoyment value; it is fast-moving combined with CGI, humour, and a good storyline, making it quite enjoyable to sit back with popcorn and your favourite drink. It is helped along with good acting from all the cast, which has pretty good on-screen chemistry.
The CGIs in this movie are okay, I have seen movies with worse CGI, though it is not easy to conjure up monsters and magic barriers from thin air, so it works for me. Thankfully the CGI is not overused in this movie, making it a good supporting role unlike some of the other movies in this genre.
Overall definitely worth a watch, especially if you are a fan of the Chinese Fantasy genre.

The whole movie? 5 friends playing a game on the roof of a high-rise for 90 minutes straight. That's it. That's the movie. And yet, I wasn't bored, not even for a second. Oh, the twists and turns! And just when I thought I knew what was going on, the story took a sharp left and off it went again!

Gosh, when Yuichi exposed the traitor among them! And then, when he revealed that he lied too and what he lied about! Everyone's shock and horror! Everyone's! Even the hidden game masters' because that they didn't expect! And then, when Tenji joined Yuichi - and gosh, just how he joined him! - and off they went together to the last game and just when I thought that Tenji could not be redeemed, there was yet another twist and it went back to Sawaragi and... and... and...

I'm so smitten with this movie! Yoshizawa Ryo as Yuichi and Yamada Yuki as Tenji are simply incredible here. The scene between just the two of them at the end of the game, mwah! I can so understand why they love acting together, their chemistry simply crackles! And the way they can both turn from innocent into devious from one second to the next, wow!

Short, sweet and feel-good movie you can watch anytime

I was amazed how they made the 10-minute short film worth it. There's nothing extraordinary and special about the story itself however it is simple, direct to the point and just sincere. That's the charm of this short film for me. This also made me an official shipper of YeoBin and YoungJae. They look amazing on-screen.

I definitely recommend that you watch this short film. It's so short that I might actually have spent more time writing this review than watching it. I swear your 10 minutes will be worth it.

Very underwhelming and boring viewing experience.

Lazy writing, meh CGI, plot and tropes you've seen hundred times over, flat characters.... I could've forgiven them all and given this movie a neutral rating if not for one thing that drew me mad.
Exoticism.
Now, if you have seen lots of Chinese costume dramas and movies you'll know 99% time the styling is not even 70% accurate to actual history which is fine, as long as you use your artistic license in a sensible and consistent manner and doesn't pretend to be what you are not.
But here, all the side characters were dressed in a way that resembles the Mongol Khan era fashion but only the female lead was dressed in a dresses that resembled Western model of "princess style" that had little to no similarity with Chinese styling. To appeal to whose palette?
To me it seemed like movie makers thought if they dressed the princess in a way that is more authentic the viewers wouldn't find it compatible with their idea of "pretty", especially viewers who are unfamiliar with C-content/only came to watch because of Dylan Sprouse.

So yeah, I was thoroughly unimpressed. Do not recommend.

Really a buddy movie

Chae Yeong, the female lead and hero, is strong, talented and damaged. Her father has given her a code to live by. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and doesn’t care if anyone understands her. Her loner she’ll is cracked by Jong Goo as pitiable weakling who wants to be more. Her shell is shattered when Hae Seong sees her as the way to turn his life around.

I read a comment about the story being disjointed with a lot of lose ends. That is a misunderstanding of the focus of the film. All of the lose ends were explanations of the personality and life of each loaf the 3 leads. It was well constructed, well written and a very interesting story. It is an great film about bullying. The fight scenes were realistic and believable. However the most impressive aspect of the film were the emotions. Each lead did an excellent job of conveying their character’s emotions and that is why I would gave this a 10

Junho in a double role

This is a small and lighthearted indie (?) film. It's an easy and nice watch. I've always preferred this type of smaller films to big productions.

Junho is great in the double role as the world weary disillusioned artist Nero and the boyish naive student. There's criticism, even satire, of the artworld. The characters all face major challenges which makes this work well as a drama but luckily the way the stories are told is not too depressing and the ending is optimistic. The female characters are left rather shallow but since this is not primarily about romance, that's fitting.
