Based on a novel written by Takahisa Igarashi, 'Daddy You, Daughter Me' tells the story of the growing distance between a father and his daughter as time goes by and she grows up into puberty. Even if you've never heard the titles 'Papa to Musume no Nanakakan' or 'Seven Days of a Daddy and a Daughter' - the titles for both the original novel and the Japanese drama adaptation of it -, but saw Freaky Friday, then that's all you have to know about it, there isn't really anything exciting and new about this film.

Freaky Friday aside, the film's concept has been overly used many, many times before and unfortunately 'Daddy You, Daughter Me' doesn't really bring anything new to the plate, doesn't add anything and the story goes on predictable and rushed, even though I did not see the original material this movie was based on, still I could tell they were only scratching the surface of story only to jump into scenes that are way too appealing to the viewer.

I was indeed interesting in the movie at the opening scene, however as the first minute of the movie went on I kind of had the feeling the movie could be disappointing when the Je Moon breaks the fourth wall and as the next scene went on; this film is lighthearted, so much that it doesn't really take itself seriously enough throwing in jokes directly for the viewers that aren't really part of the story itself, simply a excuse for a promoted extra feature, shamelessly breaking the characters and the movie to do so and I'm not taking about the extra scene in the end, that's a different issue, that scene seems like the director's saying "just kidding, there won't be a sequel", but also, it was completely unnecessary if in the end, they would just... do that.

Sure enough I wasn't looking forward to a award-worthy performance, but I did expect more from Je Moon and Jung So Min than I actually got to see, still they did a fairly well  good job and managed to play their roles in a way to convince the viewer of the different situation they were in, however most jokes weren't all that funny, most of them went by unnoticed and there were too many plot holes, and unnecessary scenes.

The soundtrack... I did got interested by the songs they talk about at that one scene in the vintage shop - this isn't a spoiler and I won't talk about it in depth -. but aside from that the music in the movie is very uninteresting.
Talking about that one scene--- They broke their character there and that kind of left me confused for some time, for a second or two I was unconvinced of what was going on, it didn't seem like they exchanged bodies.

Not sure if I will re-watch this movie again, there's a chance if someone wants to mindlessly watch with me a chick-flick with a chance of laughter and inside jokes added to make it funnier and have more fun.

One more thing, just one last thing before the review is over. There were many things unnecessary in this movie, I cited two before, but there's nothing as much unnecessary as the ending, the recorded message from girls/women to their father - not spoiler, promise -, if anything, that only makes one thing how superficial that was in so many different levels. The old ladies probably delivered the most truthful messages, but then, you realize why when you pay attention to the different backgrounds. It is more like a invite to discussion on Korean social issues than anything else.

"The Inerasable"  is a reasonable combination of a classic "ghost" story with the most  realistic approach, where one tries to understand everything and the  subsequent investigation. For a while this was quite interesting. In addition, the first two minutes were really great, and a story of little effective terror in itself. The scary ones were well placed, and there were some really tense moments. The scary elements were well made, very effective and also rich in variety, with the dark creatures gave a particular highlight. Unfortunately, after a promising and effective start, the film began to exaggerate somewhat with the incursions in the past. I liked the way the movie finally ended, although it is quite typical. Overall though it has been a bit long satisfying to lovers of the genre.

Adapting the famous manga, "Corpse Prison" is divided into two parts.
Basically what we see is a school horror with a lot of gore. For those who read the manga you may find that the adaptation is not  up to date, of course, after all the director has to restrain himself to  maintain the indicative classification.
In the plot we have the protagonists, without that crush thing where the group goes to a mountainous village and thing happens. That's where the plot of Another really begins, as some groups of  students are separated and each creates its core within the plot,  providing the viewer to know more of each of the characters.
Occultism  is the key theme, within the mythology of "Corpse Party", we have the  inclusion of some occult concepts, like Katashiro. For those who do not know, Katashiro works more or less the way the Voodoo Doll, however, it is just a cut in humanized format. In popular belief, it is believed that the doll is used as a  complement to rituals and contrary to popular belief, other materials  than paper, such as gold and metals, can be used.
What  gives one more interesting seasoning in the horror genre, it still  features several minor characters, each with its motivations and some  are well "forced" - and in fact, the one that presents more depth and  gives a nice air to the work. Highlight the cast and cinematography.

"Sweet Whip" is an adult  thriller and drama, based on aspects of fetishism, the story though  simple is told through a very good narrative thanks to cinematography  and the movement of the cameras makes it a more dramatic film in tension  than properly the acronym of sexual, it is not known for  certain which ideology the director wanted to show which makes him  confused, restrictive and somewhat bad. In short "Sweet Whip" has a miserable but good story for a senseless movie like this.

The film is based on the true story of Kim Koo, who was a Korean nationalist politician. He was a leader of the Korean independence movement and a  reunification activist after 1945. He changed his name from Kim  Chang-Soo to Kim Koo in 1912 at age 37.
Its  epic narrative is the 1890s, where a young man named Kim Chang-soo is  sent to prison for his role in the murder of a Japanese man who  participated in the murder of Empress Myeongseong. While he is late, Kim sees that the prisoners are impoverished and uneducated and he finds that most are wrongly convicted. He begins to teach them letters so they can clear their false accusations. It gradually becomes hope in prison. However, one day, Kim and his companions are assigned to a large  Japanese building site where nothing but the ordeal worse than death is  waiting for.
When  dealing with adaptation is consistent, the cinematography was  spectacular, the decade's faithful is composed of incredible details. The  cast is also great, active and present gave life to the scenes in  particular to Cho Jin-Woong considered one of the best actors of this  decade. On  its opening weekend, the movie came in third at the local box office  selling 201,279 tickets and earned $ 1.42 million increasing the total  ticket sales to 260,189 and $ 1.8 million in revenue over four days , which is a considerable milestone, so it's worth taking a look.

"Lee Chaedam's G-Spot"  has as a differential a biography of Lee Chae-dam, which is a film that  can be considered a document that is against the trajectory of the  actress interspersed by scenes of love carried out by the same. Cinematography did a job in conjunction with the script, and by the way very well written. The movement of the cameras is subtle, a romantic soundtrack. Lee  Chaedam's "G-Spot" is not one of the worst South Korean adult movies  ever produced but arguably the best of the middle-of-the-category films.

I' m sure plenty of you are familiar with Ma Dongseok. If not from Train to Busan, from which I fell in love with him in or Bad guys, which I'm yet to see. I ended up watching Outlaws for two reasons (1) The charismatic acting of DongSeok and (2) EXO's Baekhyun cosplaying as the movie's antagonist. I'm not the hugest fan or action or gang related movies but I appreciate quality content and this isn't one. The acting was average. The lead two did a wonderful job however the plot didn't leave room for development. Though all the supporting cast are familiar, you wouldn't remember who played what. The plot was typical and far from impactful. I kept waiting for that background stories that would tuck on my heart string or fight scenes that would raise my heart rate up but non were apparent here. There seems to be content that is based on real events and perhaps people who witnessed them would appreciate the movie better but I hadn't much. I find this very sad if only because I did love the cast and to an extent the filming and was cheering alot for the movie.

Most people will not understand how great this movie actually is, and will not even try to understand what it is about.

If you just want another simple murder and blood movie, don't even try to watch this. Watch the movie looking deeper. "Audition" is not a movie for you to enjoy horror, but for you to bleed while watching. If you want to reflect and suffer a little bit, it will be your perfect slice of sadism.

The movie is about sexism and how Japanese society force women into submissive positions. Finding a pretty, young looking wife, pick her on a fake audition, lying to women, making they show their weakness. Get the one who would never be "the top one", but with good enough prospects and background. Praise a woman for being "submissive and obedient", the "perfect wife". Use your position of power.

A woman who has gone through struggles of a really hard life, full of abuses and men tortouring her, enjoying themselves, meets a guy who wants full control and plays with women and find himself in love with a girl closer to his son's age. Better saying, he actually falls for how troubled her life is, and how she lost her desire to be alive, not for her qualities. "Is that all you want to ask her?".

Some things are just not real, but showing how Japanese 90's society abused women, and how abusive men do know what they are doing is wrong, but their only feeling of guilty end up being the fear that, one day, the abused ones would turn out to be as sadistic as they were to them.  Every word in the movie is perfectly used to build a bigger scene. Pay attention to each.

The story telling works very well with the positive x negative feeling. It changes abruptly many times from dream to reality, good to bad, violence and sweetness, from dominant to submissive, and from submissive to dominant. The positive feeling in this movie, however, is very ambiguous. How can people take the desire to be alive out of someone be any better than killing them? How can one lie be any better than another? The positivety, I'd say, is the same false hope the main character gives to someone so hurt and depressed, by a relationship build up on a fake.

I love, however, how the main character was made as a great and loved single dad to his son, but that did not stop him from being a sexist. If you take out the female protagonist, you actually can see a very realistic world, not always being black or white. He's not the worst person, he's both good and bad, and he can make you feel empathy, and so does she.

There are very graphic scenes. If you're weak to torture and blood, I'd recommend you not to watch.

As I said before, the movie is not for everyone. Just watch it If you are really going to imerse yourself on the psychological part, not just watch because of the "horror" tag.

Just finished watching this and was extremely happy I chose to watch this movie tonight.   Kimura was amazing. Erika Toda does excellent with her part.  If you like samurai movies AT ALL you must watch this movie.  I am a huge Kurosawa fan and this movie gives you the same feel.  More like Hidden Fortress than any of his other stuff.  Yes there is blood and gore but not too over the top.  The girl needing protection isn't too whiny or too stony she comes off as a real person.

I recommend this is you like action samurai movies.

Oh and the sound track at least the closing song I must find it!

This is actually the first time I write a review although I thought that I would never do it, but after watching this movie I couldn't help it.
The story was really well written, starting with this character that will frustate you, why? because he is the purest and kind person and you will adore him,  yet he becomes falsely accused and you'll become enraged by all the injustice that happens in the world. The way he treats is daughter makes you feel warm inside, in spite of his disability he is the best parent she could have.
As I said the relationship father-daughter will move your feelings but also the friendship of the 7º cell mates, those who will do everything in their power to help him.
The acting was on point. I already new that those actors were great but I really got impressed by Kal So Won acting, for such a young child taking such an emotional role she was amazing, every time she cried she shattered my heart into pieces.
The soundtrack was really good but in some parts I was so immersed on the story that only after some time I would notice it, like if the music was blended in the story.
I had this movie on my plan to watch for a long time and I regret that I haven't seen it sooner.
I don't recall crying so much after seeing a movie or drama, it was like a storm of emotions inside of me and even 5 minutes after the movie I was still crying, so be prepared with a lot of tissues.

It is simultaneously the most beautiful, loving and sad story that I ever seen.

As soon as I saw that this movie was coming out, I was really jumping from excitement. Seeing my favorite childhood anime turn into a live-action movie is a huge deal for me. And of course I had many expectation for the movie because the trailer looked so nice. But right from the very start when I sat down to watch this, all of my childhood dreams were shattered by the harsh reality. In my opinion, the biggest problem was not the plot ( the whole story was majorly changed from the original one in the anime or manga), but the actors and some of the scenes. It really felt like I was watching a cheap low-bugdet film, where they used inexperienced actors, despite the beautiful landscapes and backgrounds in the movie. However, some scenes felt really nostalgic and I was awed by the warming musical score. Overall, this movie adaptation did not exceed or nearly come close to my expectations. Nevertheless, I'd watch this movie again every once in a while. So if you're a fan of the original Peach Girl series, watch this and let me know if it was close to what you expected and if you enjoyed it.

Not the movie to watch early in the morning -- my mistake.   An engaging story that is filled with emotions from the characters which become embedded in the viewer while watching.  The ups and downs feels are just amazingly crafted by the writer and the director does a good job editing to give a full romantic story.  I truly enjoyed this movie but choose the right time of day to watch this masterpiece.  Loved it loved it but loved the fullness feeling of what love can do in life.  Highly recommend.

"The Blue Flame" or popular "The Blue Light" was a good experience which reminiscent of another title called "The Pierrot". The narrative is somewhat scary humor ...
This is a well behaved movie with anger and frustration. The theme is interesting, since many thought the same as Shuuichi Kushimori. Kill  the threat of evil in the house, live happily in life, Shuuichi  Kushimori's mother feels the pressure of keeping a secret, and that  secret is the reason why problems arise. The mother is a coward and has made a mistake that will cost her dearly. In  short another Japanese style pearl that dares to traverse the distance  of limited elements with a premise to show the consequences of an act  that may work from time to time but tomorrow always comes.

A film that mixes  archeology with mystique, "Chaya" has an elliptical narrative of easy  understanding, pleasantly well written makes a journey back in time  bringing a good story and well composite cinematography, especially the  cast and costumes were the great key points to give veracity and at the same time beauty the story that brings much mystery. Far from being a movie we are accustomed to in large Thai productions, "Chaya" has a very pleasant mysterious air to watch.

The rat is the first animal of the zodiac, associated with antiquity to the abundance of rice crops; Born in the year of the rat, it is believed that it will be a thriving person ...
Although the killer's outfit is a bit cool, the movie "Black Rat" really is nothing special. It's  more of a run-of-the-mill type where teenagers murder their friends,  based around the shocking suicide of a young girl who just wanted to be  accepted by her friends. In short, despite a handful of  interesting deaths and one or two moments of fleeting suspense, "Black  Rat" is just too easy to compete in a market that is overcrowded with  generic horror movies that essentially tell the exact same story over  and over turn.
