Crazyyy Cast but
I rarely start ongoing dramas , because I have no self-control and it keeps me hooked to the story too. But when I saw Arthur's new drama with Dilraba and Miles was dropping, I couldn't help but start it from the first episode. I devoured the first 20 episodes! But I think something shifted after that; the story felt boring, and I still wasn't able to understand what happened in Nandu and Xu's family dynamics. Dilraba made me her fan with this drama, and the role suited her. This is my second drama with Arthur Chen, and I am grateful to him for introducing me to costume dramas. I would love to explore more of them. The story and plot and visuals could be better but the actors delivered good performance , though I felt arthur's performance less in this drama than in When destiny brings you the demon, but then again, he was a mortal with great courage and strength, and his character shouldn't overshadow Dilraba's He Simu. what happened with chenyang broke me, poor soul :(Miles's role was as a villain, and i REFUSE to sympathise with him TILL THE END , for what he did. This wasn't love at ALL; no romanticising these typa lunatics.
Was it explained in the end why the powerful sword chose him as an owner? Maybe because of his strength?

ridiculous plot
The main plot is just nonsense atleast mention genre of fantasy magic something 😂I can't stop laughing when they(sleep) faint ? they suddenly faint when touch eachother? and calling it sleeping? just who came up with this plot 😂 except from this weird plot Everything is good, another ml is suddenly in love with her out of nowhere just seeing her in dress ? just yesterday he was hating and rejecting her and her friend suddenly work up from sleep and realise he likes and and wants to pursue her only when ml comes 😂,how can you even date if you keep sleeping? okay if plot is weird atleast the romance make it normal? they just suddenly like ,confess and kiss already at 6 ? just what is wrong with chinese author? make some drama too slow ,too fast or just no romance? 😂 they just fainted after kiss ?Was this review helpful to you?
A fresh and lovely new "drama" without much drama!!!
Duang with you became instantly my favourite Bl Drama and is gonna be it for a very long time!! 🩷I've been watching dramas for more than half my life, and so far, none of the BL dramas—or dramas in general—come close to *Duang With You*.
It’s a very sweet, romantic love story between two super-cute characters; the actors were also very well casted. There’s not much drama in the drama itself—it’s about everyday problems of normal life, which are then resolved in a very positive way.
Without giving anything away, the story is mainly about how Duang, as a very loving and warm-hearted person, wants to win Qin over in his own way—not through any schemes, but simply by being there for him. He’s always by his side, helping him with his problems, and that’s how he slowly but surely wins Qin’s heart.
I can only say it again. It’s such a sweet story, very well written, and it had me eagerly waiting for Saturday every week so I could watch the new episode. Now the drama is over, which makes me super, super sad, but I’ll definitely watch it over and over again because it’s worth rewatching. I’m really, really sad that it’s over, and I hope the two actors will have something new coming out soon. The chemistry between them is just perfect, and I also hope there will be similar dramas in the future, like *Duang With You*. 🥹🩷🩵

A suspense drama that isn’t suspenseful.
I feel like this show might be properly made, but it can't catch my attention. The pace is too slow for me. There isn’t a single moment in the story of ep 1 that makes me pause to think, feel startled, get curious or really crave any kind of revelation. It’s not suspenseful at all, even though it’s supposed to be a suspense drama. What actually made me pause to think instead was the FL’s appearance. The last work of hers I watched was from 2018. Eight years later, her face has noticeably changed, but not in a naturally mature way. It feels a bit strange to me. It’s kind of a pity that her face became the main thing that kept me watching through ep 1, just trying to figure out which part of it gives off that strange vibe. And it also makes me wonder if that’s why she chose to act in this role by not moving her facial muscles much.
By the way, I just finished watching "Beyond Evil" and that is a suspense drama done really well. It kept me constantly craving the truth, the revelations, the answers. So the details for comparison are still very fresh for me and it really puts this show at a big disadvantage.

Romantic drama with family feuds
I truly appreciate the three main leads as they are fantastic actors. This is a drama more than a comedy. There is a lot of family feuds and plotting against each other, and at time difficult to watch. I did fast forward many of the family feud episodes.Personal choice is important when writing reviews as I personally like light romantic comedies of political dramas.

A DRAMA THAT'S REFRESHING IN ITS CUTEST FORM
After a long time, I have witnessed such an energetic and refreshing series loaded with cuteness. The way the script is set up is very different from the usual school BL dramas. At first, I was a little disappointed with the character "Qinn" because he kept pushing "Duang" away. But as the episodes went on, it became clear why Qinn was acting the way he was: his painful past was keeping him from letting anyone into his heart. "It is often in the darkest skies that we see the brightest stars," says the saying. "Duang" also comes into "Qinn's" life as a sun and brings him back to the light, leading them on a happy and beautiful life journey.
When it comes to acting, all of the actors in the series do a good job. TeeTee's natural, happy, and bubbly acting steals the show from beginning to end. I feel like "Duang" is the oxygen of this drama, and it always reminds me that we all need a friend like "Duang" who will always be there for us and be loyal, respectful, and happy. Without a doubt, Por's acting is just as good as TeeTee's. The supporting characters were great, especially the "friend zone" of the main characters. Finally, I want to say a few words about the character "Duang's mother." She is the cutest mother I've seen in any of the BL shows I've watched so far. She does a great job of playing the part!
For me, "Duang with You" isn't a series; it's a tonic that made my Saturdays lively and refreshing for two and a half months. I'm going to miss "Duang" so much! But, I'm looking forward to TeePor's next together.

In your radiant season
First of all, this drama made me cry a lot because I could relate to both the female and male lead on many levels. The most painful parts where the two episodes before last, I kept praying for a happy ending because I thought I could have hope again in this world if there was a happy ending.
I am not sure if there is a best scene award for airport romantic interactions but The male lead deserves this award if it ever exists for when he stand tall, looking at the female leading waiting for him and then he went towards her saying he won't be able to stop him self anymore and hugged her. That scene took me to another world because I dream to have someone in my life who loves me that much, to the point they can't stop themselves around me where emotions are too strong to keep under control and where they lose themselves completely for me.

I think jinyoung relied too much on goeuns acting for there to be feelings on the screeen. i know he can do a good job because ive seen him on our unwritten seoul, so im guessing that was the result of continuous practice and that his acting skills have gotten better than they were in 2021

A very 6 out of 10 kinda series
Girl From Nowhere: The Reset has concluded. And with it confirmed all of my previous theories before its airing to me.First of all, as expected the actors did great with what they were given. It is not an acting skills issue nor was it ever going to be.
The fandom for the original is pretty big so I theorized previously that the producers thought it would be an easy money grab. In the end we all tuned in (or at least the fans of the previous series who watched) out of curiosity so they somehow got their wish, even if people dislike something, producers still make money by us tuning in.
This theory of it just being made for money felt confirmed to me by how aimless this series felt. They had no idea what they even wanted to do with this new series, just that they wanted to make it again. I did have the hope that we would be given SOMETHING new, something fresh or to add to the original universe in a way. Expand it, add to it...literally anything intriguing we haven't seen before.
There was no real point to this series, especially nothing new that the original series didn't already deliver - better at that. No new lessons, no real expansion to the overall series universe. So my conclusion remains..money. This series was made solely to make some money because it had no real other aim and nothing to say that hasn't already been said before by a piece of art.
Was it bad? Not necessarily. I think if you've never seen the original and aren't familiar with its concept this could be a fully entertaining show, albeit not mind blowing. It's produced well, looks like any other decently made Thai series and the acting is good. Overall it's average entertainment that I wouldn't necessarily talk anyone out of checking out if they have time to kill.
But if I were to recommend something with this concept, I will continue recommending the original because it is simply more intriguing in the writing and directing department.

Very confusing but appealing
If there's one thing I can say about this show is that it's the opposite of what I was expecting. After watching FoF and MJTJ from the same director, I was sold almost immediately when I discovered he was making another one. When I saw that Yan An, Chen Du Ling and Tian Jia Rui were part of its cast, I was invested. I loved their performances before so surely they would create another masterpiece, right?Nah...
The plot at the beginning of the show was very confusing. So much so that I lost interest in almost all of the characters. The pace was too quick, the storyline was all over the place and I felt like there was no emotional depth to it. Scenes that should be moving didn't touch me at all. Scenes that should have been epic fighting scenes didn't strike me as such due to an over-used OST. I was about to drop the entire thing when the story finally picked up around episode 10, when the party gets stuck in an illusion. Finally it felt as if the characters had some depth to them.
The only thing I truly missed during those episodes was the love story progression. I could understand the growing devotion between one pairing but the other one... most of the romantic growth between them happened off camera and was only used in flashbacks when one of them remembered their time together.
But then they broke out of the illusion and the story fell flat again. It swayed us back and forth between plotlines that didn't make much sense and then the whole timetravelling thing began and it all became so much worse.
Timetravel only works when it's done right. But when you mess with the lines of time, even in cinema, it can become messy really quickly. Unfortunately, VoS became an huge mess after they introduced a rewinding time element into a spiderweb of plotlines. It was hard to keep track of it all. I had difficulty keeping track of it without the timetravel thing and almost completely gave up again, wanting to drop the show, but stuck by it because of the amazing cast.
Positives:
- After I got used to the over-use of some of the OST songs, the songs grew on my and it's been on repeat ever since.
- Although I don't have much positive to say about the story, the cast truly made watching it worth it. I keep being blown away with how deep these actors are willing to go. I said before the story was lacking emotional depth and that's still true, but mainly due to the fast-paced script and character growth happening off screen. Not because the actors delivered a bland performance. I stuck by the show because of them. They all deserve every award out there. Especially Tian Jia Rui. He carried this show on his back.
- The visuals were breathtaking. I love the style and art form of the director's works and fell in love with them again.
- At one point I realised why things were so confusing at the beginning of the story. It felt like it was made to be like that due to the timetravel element. Things were supposed to be frayed and all over the place because so much had been changed in their timelines and I finally saw the brilliance of it all.
Negatives:
- The whole timetravel thing. Once it was introduced, it became an outright mess. Especially during the end. The story did not care for the butterfly effect of changing a major thing in the past. It did not care for timetravel rules by showing us what happened in the past and what was happening in the future at the same time. Removing that stone and killing the big bad should have been enough to reset the timeline, but it didn't. Only after they returned from the past did time reset. Unfortunately, the new timeline didn't make much sense. I didn't understand why some characters would remember all of it, while other didn't. Why the Formless Moon Sect still worked as if nothing ever happened. I just hoped it could have done more.
- It was too much, too fast. I felt like a tennisball being used in a tennis match. I was swatted back and forth between plotlines, storylines and trying to make sense of it all while keeping track of everyone.
Do I recommend this drama? Yes, I do. I might have some major problems with it but even considering those I would still want people to watch it and see for themselves. The cast did an amazing thing and gave us a performance more people should watch. BUT, that said, if you want to watch most of this cast perform you should consider watching Fangs of Fortune or My Journey to You.

Disengaged
I really tried to watch this 2017 version because it's said to stay the truest to the original story. It started off with good pacing but unfortunately, the characters of the two female leads are just really distasteful and they have way too much screen time. If this is how they are supposed to be in all versions, I may never end up completing this iconic trilogy. Also fully understand the main lead is supposed to be naive and grow through time and experience, but the portrayal of him here is over the top... foolish. For someone who was raised with the Genghis Khan family, it doesn't make sense for him to lack this much common sense. The rest of the jianghu personalities are also depicted in an uninteresting and hypocritical way.
Note that I'm not familiar with the novel of the trilogy so this is just an opinion on how this particular one played out. The underlying base plot seems to be really interesting, so I hope either the other versions are better or a better remake comes out.

BEST CDRAMA!!!
Watched this a few years agooo. GMP is by faaaaaar the best and my favourite cdrama so far! No other cdramas can replace this one.I cried a river after finishing it for the first time. Got depressed for maybe a week from the aftermath of watching the ending. Then I keep rewatching it and the aftermath is still the same!!!
Very good cinematography and makeup!
The acting is WOW! Superb superb, even if you see the BTS you can tell they are really into their characters, can't stop crying even after cut, especially the male lead. PXR on the other hand is an amazing amazing actress, she naturally draws us in with her acting! PXR is my favourite Chinese actress. I’m always looking forward to her new dramas. But unfortunately this is the best drama she is in so far, I hope she gets better projects soon TT
