An unusual dark chinese series...

When I first watched I could not distinguish between the actors of this series and "Deep In". If you would swap the actors the story could have been told exactly the same, because the couples look sooooo similar. While every episode is only 30 to 35 minutes long, it does not feel rushed and it avoids the boring idle time of many series.

We have a story of two disfunctional families. And then we also have a couple which borrowed an imho typical japanese theme of "miscommunication". While we have a cold and a docil character both have hidden traits. And both do not communicate at all. Because this is a very dark story, watching it may make you uncomfortable which is of course intended. We have character growth through the series. Rich families daddy is a honorable man doing his utter most to protect his family and their names because the higher on the social ladder you are the more it matters. Poor family mom wants of course climb the social ladder, but realizes all her wrongs. At least she does not fall into the pit of greed as her husband and other son.

It's also a story of two families circumstances bond together. One to save their names and one to climb said social ladder. As it is with every fairy tale, greed will be your doom. Our docile guy has a plan to ruin his lover which he loves and hates at the same time. His lover on the other hand acted mostly cold except when his desire overwhelmed him, but in the end he can't escape him, because his love for him is so much stronger than every hurt he did receive.

A special shoutout for the set designers who did find all the stuff from the 90ties which needed to work, be it CRT TVs, discmans, dvd players, cars and tons of old PCs. There is so much detail in every scene, I have never seen that in a series without a huge budget. I can't of course not know how much budget they had, but I doubt it can compete with Hollywood at all. This is also a reason why my rating is higher compared to the story rating. Also the costumes matched the times and in the short scenes where you see a lot of people going to work for example, they did style all of the people accordingly.

The actors/actresses did an outstanding job imho. Not only the MC but everyone involved did a really good job. I can't complain at all. This was superb. I'm happy that the MC already has filmed another series which will be hopefully released this year and they did deserve that.

While dark, this is not an ordinary series. It's a story about family, greed and miscommunication. And because it's a fairy tale we get the punishment for the guilty parties and an happy end we always expect. This series is of course not fluffy at all, it's partly painful to watch but it's for sure not the common stuff you see everyday. The final scene of course is part of the fairy tale, because that would not have happened IRL (at that time). Also they did mix up Portugal with Spain, either in the script or the translation which was a bit weird. At least as european you can distinguish between spanish and portugese languages. But besides this minor lapse, I like it and recommand it. You should give it a chance.

You Cannot Just End It THERE, Netflix

(WARNING: Potential Spoilers — I’m Not Saving You from Any Emotional Damage)

So let's just get this out of the way: I really enjoyed Weak Hero Class 2. It's a continuation of Class 1, and it absolutely delivers on what I came back for—Si Eun, wonderfully choreographed fights, an interesting new group of characters, and enough escalating chaos to keep me glued to the screen.

Si Eun transferring to another school doesn't exactly give him the fresh start he's hoping for, because apparently the universe has personally decided this boy is not allowed to know peace. The fact that the schools in the area are tied together through the Union means that even when Si Eun tries to keep his head down, trouble eventually finds him anyway. And once he helps Jun Tae, that pulls him into the friendship with Hyeon Tak and Baku, which is where the season really starts to come together.

I really liked this new group. Baku, in particular, was such a fun addition because he brought some much-needed comedic relief. That guy is a trip. 😂 Si Eun is so serious and constantly operating on approximately seventeen levels of strategy at once that putting him around someone like Baku creates a completely different dynamic. The friendship between the guys is also one of the things that gives Si Eun something to fight for, rather than simply fighting because he has no other choice.

And then, of course, we get the fights.

The fights in this show continue to be wonderfully crafted. There's something about Weak Hero that makes its action sequences feel like more than just people throwing punches at each other. Si Eun is physically outmatched more often than not, so watching him use his surroundings, his intelligence, and whatever advantage he can find is still incredibly satisfying. And then you add everyone else into the mix and suddenly we're watching an entire school ecosystem collapse into organized violence.

Because apparently this is what high school is like in the Weak Hero universe.

However, where Class 2 didn't quite hit me the same way was the emotional connection. I still cared about what was happening, and I was invested in the characters, but that emotional gut punch from Class 1 wasn't quite there for me. Class 1 had me emotionally attached in a way that made certain moments absolutely devastating. This season had plenty happening, but I didn't feel that same depth of emotional damage.

And then we have Si Eun's mother.

Girl.

Listen. I get what they were trying to do. I understand the intention behind her character and the attempt to add depth to Si Eun’s home life. But emotionally? It just didn’t land for me. Instead of adding weight, it mostly had me sitting there like… really? this is the angle?

Especially when she starts implying his fighting is somehow because of her.

No.

Ma'am.

We're not doing that today.

I understand what the show was trying to do with her character and the attempt to explore Si Eun's home life and his mother's relationship with him, but it just didn't land for me emotionally the way I think it was supposed to. Instead of giving me another layer of emotional connection, it mostly had me sitting there questioning some of her choices.

That said, the lack of that deeper emotional punch didn't ruin the season for me. Not even close. The cast was excellent, the action was great, the new friendships worked, and I was completely invested in seeing where everything was going.

And then we get to that ending.

Excuse me?

You cannot just end it like that.

Seriously.

The way this season wraps up feels like someone looked directly into the camera and said, “Yeah, we're going to leave that there and make you wait.”

Absolutely not.

I need another season. The story is not finished in my brain, and that ending left way too much hanging for me to be satisfied with this being the end. If Netflix wants to continue this, I will be sitting right here with snacks, emotionally prepared for absolutely nothing.

Well.

That's a lie.

I will not be emotionally prepared.

My brain: “Okay, but what happens next?”

My emotions: “We're still processing Class 1, thanks.”

My snacks: “You said this was only eight episodes.”

And somehow… it worked.

Fun and fast-paced but falls a little below expectations

The drama that bought me out of the drama slump..It has everything that is perfect for a binge watch from interesting and fun characters worth rooting for and a fast pace that kept me continue watching it..also the 10 episode format helped a lot...however a lot of the cases felt repetitive and predictable...and also it felt a little bit shallow at times and it felt like a few characters and cases could have been explored a little bit more, however it felt very satisfying to see the bullies getting the same thing as the victims...kind of reminded me of the devil judge..over all a very enjoyable drama for fun...it covers a lot of issues in the education system but fails a little bit in tackling the issues with nuance

Ao ver Cui Xiu Zi e Liu Bo Yang em um drama já podemos prever o quão tóxica e abusiva será a história, mas aqui se supera.
A FL conviveu (e se humilhou) por 10 anos com os 3 personagens masculinos principais, que - obviamente - preferiam a filha da empregada que roubou a identidade de salvadora... Até aqui é normal em dramas com esses atores, porém...
O drama é curto, 80% é abuso ou flashback de abuso e o tempo de tela do casal (FL + tio dos três) mínima. Além das atuações serem um tanto quanto medianas.

Antes eu acompanhava quase todos os dramas tóxicos destes atores, mas consegui me desvincular, agora só me restam as resenhas rs

it was good!

Just finished the apartment job it was a really fun interesting drama based on the idea of a heist that doesn’t become a heist and it becomes a mystery track down Found family moment.

I really liked the family aspect and the mystery and the way it was back-and-forth between villain and gang member/avenger. I definitely think the villain was played so so well I was actually uncomfortable with some of those scenes like they were scary accurate in the sense that you felt like you were watching the real thing!!

We got a hint of romance between the female leader male lead, but it was only hints throughout the whole thing and then in the last episode to find out they haven’t spoken for three years… personally I think don’t hint at it at all unless you’re going to wrap it up in the drama because now in the last episode they’re acting like stranger friends? Bit odd for me.

I can appreciate the end of episode 11 now where they convinced us it was lizard and then to find out that it wasn’t but overall those last two episodes were a bit confusing. The drama was going in one way leading to a crescendo and then it kind of went left field and we got a fizzled out ending.

I really like the characters and I like the storyline overall, but I just think for me it was missing that end.

Life for people, Life for country

I really rarely write a review for a show but if the show give me something so valuable or so memorable , I'll definitely write one.

As I'm not very like the acting of William, I didn't have a high expectation for this show, and decide to watch because of some of drama I watched have a link (same writer) with other dramas that I have already watched.

As I watch, the genre is very rich, not only it have adventure but also action, brotherhood, nationalism, a little bit of horor and thriller, so I'm hook with this show. And all the actors and actresses in this drama have a good acting skill, it thrilling me.

There is a moments that gave me very deep impresion is when the higher up must to up root the gang, the whole gang or the mystic nine. And the response of all the leader of mystic nine is what gave me a slap.
Why?
Although the government, or may be the era it self make you 'must died' , and although you make a contribution to the country very significantly but you and your whole gang or rather the name of the gang must disappear from Changsa, but the 9 leaders still love his country, defend the country with what they have.

So that's right, how disappointed your feel toward your government but the country itself didn't wrong, don't give up your nationality, because it very worth to dedicate your skill, your professional to the country.

Realistic story

This was a good series with a realistic story. It shows that love has no age, gender, and even can overcome hardship from the past. A love that can't be just replaced, it's rooted deep in the heart.
Well produced, good visuals and music.

The acting of some actors was ok, not great, but some actors were great!
I wasn't impressed by the acting of Lhongchang Atip Korsinka, it wasn't bad, but i didn't feel the emotions when he was in pain.
Bas was amazing!! I really hope to see him in more main roles.
The mains had good chemistry, the kisses were all blocked from the view so can't say anything about that.

Watched it a while back

Do not trust moi source cus i lowkey forgot.

One thing i wanna say is the trailer is completely misleading.
It suggests the fl have split-personality disorder whatever, and she is labeled as the "villain" or smh who is gonna eventually have a redemption arc which i dislike.

Also baek hyun woo is painted as a "green flag" when bro flipping jumped up and down when he found out his wife was eventually gonna die and started to act "nice" again to be written in the will, while hae-in thought "oh we had a falling out cus of my miscarriage and I was emotionally unavailable esp due to family pressure so i legit couldn't share my sorrows and true feelings to my husband, and so my defense mechanism was that I pushed everyone away but now my husband wants to try things again after 3 years, and hey! who am i to say no! lets try again!"

After divorce papers get revealed and what not, bro was like hey! lemme act nice! so he was like "yes honey hate me so that u get your surgery and lose your memory" (don't understand the thought process but okay) and then bro gets sent to jail and what not and he was like "i so happy u okay, i love u" yadda yadda

they get together again, the end
SIKE, you thought that didnt you? except there's a 2 minute scene where this oldie white haired grandpa goes to the wife grave with flowers ( COMPLETELY UNNECESSRY SCENE btw)

Honestly i watched it quite a while back so i forgot but i have to say the acting, production, cinematography is so good so i say watch it

It's honestly great so far, the acting is good, I like the plot, and overall it's just giving a typical nice school BL.

Episode 1:
* The start was quite slow, but then it became much better, in my opinion, and I really liked how the episode ended.
* I love the characters that Sea and Keen are playing and the contrast between them. It feels a bit weird/unusual to see Sea playing more of a nerdy character, but he is definitely doing a great job so far, and I am definitely liking it.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and am excited to see more.

Episode 2:
* Great episode. Not much to talk about here, but I really enjoyed it and want to see more.

Well written, fun drama

I really enjoyed this series. It has a great mix of campy comedy, light comedy, romance and action.
The story is cohesive and well written, with only a few minor plot holes that are easy to overlook. The pacing is great and I thought they did a good job with the flashbacks for providing timely context of what was going on and what was yet to come.

Jung Hae-in maintains the excellent work he's shown that he is capable of in his previous lead roles while Ha Young easily demonstrates why she deserves to be cast as a female lead.

Jung Hae-in (Tae-ha) and Ha Young (Eun-sae) have excellent, believable chemistry. I found the scenes after Eun-sae accepts that he is her 'longtime boyfriend' and wants him to come back to the main bedroom very amusing – Jung Hae-in does an excellent job portraying someone that nervously won't take advantage of someone he truly likes over the deception he has set up. I felt their chemistry was almost on par with that of Jung Hae-in & Son Ye-jin in Something in the Rain (which tops my list for chemistry).

Ha Young and the SES Ladies do a great job with the campy comedy...sometimes taking it a little too far for my taste but those moments are brief and overall, their scenes are a lot of fun.

I really liked how the story handled the development of 'trust' between Tae-ha, Eun-sae and the Doctor. It felt believable given the information Eun-sae and the Doctor had as the story progressed. And giving Eun-sae 2 names was a great way to get around her just doing a web search to find out who she really was.

The writing does a good job taking 1-off comments/events and wrapping them back into the dialog later.

Most of the fight scenes were very good....Tae-ha avoids most of the baseball bat swings (believable) rather than absorbing them (not believable). And Jung Hae-in did a great job with the choreography. I could believe he was a top boxer. I loved how he changed his expression when he transformed from 'boyfriend' to thug.

I really liked the development of the twist toward the end. I felt they provided very good foreshadowing in the earlier episodes and I did not feel manipulated in the slightest. And the brief montage showing the foreshadowing was a nice touch for those (like me) that had missed it.

And the ending was excellent. They actually allowed enough time to really wrap up the story and provide the characters with a great ending....refreshing after so many dramas doing the wrap up in 5 minutes.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the series, it wasn't without some issues. For instance, one element that strained believability was Eun-sae’s lifestyle. Her salary as a prosecutor wouldn’t realistically support a luxury apartment, sports car, and designer wardrobe, and the show never explains how she affords them....she was an orphan so no family money and her Prosecutor salary would be ~80-90K USD....not enough for those types of expenditures.

I'm not a big fan of the endless waves of disposable thugs for the fights nor with the omniscient villain that dynamically sets up an elaborate trap during the unexpected car chase scenes. Nor with the extremely quick recover from stab wounds.

They do have one major continuity mess up. His Mom tells his 'Grandma' that she is 23 years old yet the dates on her tombstone show she was only 22 when she died. Not integral to the story but it is sloppy.

Despite a few inconsistencies, Our Sticky Love delivers a charming blend of romance, comedy, and action with standout performances and a satisfying ending. It’s a drama that’s easy to recommend

Congratulations, You Picked the Wrong Quiet Kid

(WARNING: Potential Spoilers — Emotional Safety Not Guaranteed)

First and foremost, I do not condone school violence or bullying in any form. That said, Weak Hero Class 1 does an incredibly effective job of portraying how quickly bullying escalates when ignored, enabled, or mishandled by the systems meant to prevent it.

Yeon Si Eun is a quiet, academically focused student who prefers to stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, that makes him an easy target. He is smaller, physically weaker, and uninterested in fighting, so his bullies assume he will simply endure whatever they throw at him.

They are wrong.

The turning point comes during a mock exam when the bullies pressure O Beom Seok into placing a fentanyl patch on Si Eun’s neck, causing him to become ill during the test. That moment becomes the breaking point. Si Eun stops trying to ignore the situation and instead begins to analyze it.

And that’s where things get interesting.

He doesn’t become stronger physically—he becomes smarter. He studies patterns, timing, psychology, and environment, turning every weakness into a tool. Every confrontation feels tense because he is still physically vulnerable, which makes every small victory feel earned.

The friendship between Si Eun, Su Ho, and Beom Seok is where the emotional core of the story lies. At first, it feels like an unlikely trio forced together by circumstance, but it slowly becomes something real. Su Ho protects, Si Eun strategizes, and Beom Seok tries desperately to belong.

For a while, it works.

But this is Weak Hero, so stability was never going to last.

Beom Seok’s insecurity eventually fractures the group. His jealousy and need for validation push him toward the very people they were fighting against. It’s frustrating, painful, and strangely understandable all at once.

You don’t just hate his choices—you understand them, which makes them worse.

One of the strongest aspects of the show is that it refuses to simplify its characters. No one is purely good or purely evil. Some people are violent because they enjoy it, some because they’ve learned it’s survival, and some because they are desperate to be seen.

And then everything spirals.

The violence escalates, friendships collapse, and eventually a tragedy occurs that permanently changes Si Eun. By the end, he is no longer the same person who started the story. The quiet student who just wanted to study is gone.

What remains is someone shaped by everything he survived.

The show also deserves credit for never glamorizing violence. It is messy, painful, and consequences are always present. Every punch feels heavy, every decision carries weight, and every moment of silence feels like something worse is coming.

By the end, I was completely hooked. Eight episodes somehow delivered the emotional weight of a much longer series.

And then the final tragedy hit.

And everything shifted from “this is getting intense” to “I am emotionally unwell.”

My brain: WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?
My emotions: absolutely not okay.
My snacks: casualties of war.

I finished the series angry, devastated, and fully invested in characters I was not emotionally prepared to care about this much.

And somehow… I immediately wanted more.
