So Underrated!

When a series of bizarre & gruesome murders occur, 5 passionate young adults will form the “Phoenix Squad” & embark on a perilous quest to subdue the seven omens. As they face tough adversaries, they form tight bonds of friendship that are forged in the fire.

Amidst the life & death trials, the ML & FL help one another heal emotionally & find a love that neither ever anticipated, but one both are willing to sacrifice everything to keep.

I throughly enjoyed this drama. The Leads are both such strong characters that I was immediately drawn into their story. And their chemistry is so potent (even without any kiss scenes!) that I was hooked on watching the fall in love as they fought alongside one another. And, OhEmGee, what great fighters they both are!!

I also love the bond the 5 friends form. They’re each quirky with their own weaknesses & strengths. What I loved most is how there was no backstabbing or jealousy between them - they were all respectful & accepting of each other, no matter what. True squad goals, for sure!

If you’re in the mood for mystery & action with a sweet romance blooming throughout, then I recommend you give this show a watch. The cast all did so good with their roles, as well as all those who completed their tasks behind the scenes. 👏🏻

Trust your eyes or trust your heart?

The FL falls victim to a psychotic villainess who swaps their faces to escape a forced marriage with the powerful general ML because she’s already in love with the prince. The FL discovers the ML is the man she fell for years ago, but he’s unable to recognize her due to the sorcery… or does he??

I really enjoyed this short drama, both the plot & pacing. The characters stayed consistent throughout & they all got the ending they deserved (which I very much appreciate in a drama!)

The Leads had great chemistry & their devotion to each other was perfect!🔥🫠 I loved how the ML knew to trust his heart over his eyes!! 🫶🏻 And it was so satisfying to watch the Leads never get tricked by the villains, but rather turn the tables for their own success every time.

If you like to see a contrast between a couple who has toxic, obsessive “love” & one with a healthy, protective love than I highly recommend this drama 👍🏻

All. The. Feels!

After receiving a terminal diagnosis, the FL flees to a small town where she meets a flower farmer & his dad, who was her mom’s first love. Her arrival is the start of big changes in all their lives…

This is such a good show! It’ll make you feel so many emotions as it takes you on the journey of these two couples. And while I was definitely more invested in the younger duo’s story (they were so mature & drama free despite the drama of others around them), the older couple was worth rooting for too. 💞

This isn’t just about falling in love, though. It’s about self care, family ties, community bonds, & true friendship. There’s so much depth packed into these 12 episodes that you can’t help but feel for the characters & all they’re going through.

I really appreciated the importance placed on the roles of mother’s: the need for them, the power of their presence, & the devastation of their absence.

If you’re look for a heartwarming story with a happy ending, I recommend this.

Came for Her, Stayed for Them

When a movie buff falls for an aspiring director, will his sunshine personality melt her cold indifference in this melodrama?

I enjoyed this despite how much it made me want to cry (iykyk). The cast did wonderful bringing their roles to life, & there were so many beloved familiar faces filling our screen. 😍

The light moments draw you in while the deep moments grip your heart. It has so many beautiful messages: the pain/joy of growing up; the importance of self-love; learning when to hold tight & when to let go; sincerity in apologies & forgiveness; everyone has a story; continuing to live after a final goodbye… & woven through the tapestry of it all is the beauty of love in many forms - familial, friendship, & romantic.

The Leads have such a comfortable & healing love. They’re each other’s safe harbor. They support, encourage, & protect one another every step of the way.
The ML had great bonds with others too - his brother, his bestie, the FL’s friend, + more. I loved them all!

The only character I didn’t like was the SFL (character NOT actress) - imho, she was very selfish so I never felt sympathy for her. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall, I def recommend 👍🏻

I really enjoyed the Leads & the sweet complexity/tension between them throughout. Their genuine care of & trust in one another was like catnip to my romance lovin’ self. 🫠 And the fact that, with all the many characters involved, we didn’t have any love triangles or rival drama, nor dumb misunderstandings between the Leads was something I really appreciated. This duo acted their ages so kudos to the writers for that!

And I throughly enjoyed the bond between the ML & his 4th brother. They’re a true highlight of the show. And when their brother/cousin turns from rival to ally, I truly enjoyed that shift in their dynamic as well. Very well done, imho. 🤗

SPOILERS + O QUE MAIS ME MARCOU ?

Finalmente terminei Namorada Genial e posso dizer que foi aquele drama que me fez passar por uma mistura de sentimentos: teve momentos que amei, outros que me emocionaram bastante, mas também teve partes em que eu só pensava: “gente, quando essa história vai andar?” 😂

A proposta do drama é gostosa, principalmente por acompanhar os personagens em diferentes fases da vida, mostrando amadurecimento, relacionamentos, amizades, sonhos e escolhas. Gostei de acompanhar essa evolução e, principalmente, de ver como os personagens foram mudando ao longo da história.

💗 O casal protagonista teve seus altos e baixos e, apesar de algumas situações terem me feito passar raiva, gostei da trajetória deles. O final conseguiu entregar aquele sentimento de que as histórias finalmente encontraram seu caminho, e isso foi um ponto positivo para mim.

Também gostei de acompanhar os casais secundários, porque eles trouxeram outras perspectivas para a história e ajudaram a deixar a trama mais completa. Algumas relações me prenderam mais do que outras, principalmente a relação do irmão da prota com a menina foi a única que eu torci desde do início ela foi atacante na fase adulta eu gostei disso e era a mas tímida do grupo. mas no geral achei interessante acompanhar cada uma delas.

Agora preciso falar de uma coisa que me deixou triste de verdade: o médico! 😭😂
Gente, custava colocar um par para esse homem? Eu fiquei esperando aquele momento em que ele finalmente teria alguém também. Achei que ele merecia um romance para chamar de seu. Fiquei com a sensação de que faltou esse carinho com o personagem. 🥹

E não posso deixar de mencionar os episódios 9 e 15, que foram os que mais me marcaram. Foram momentos em que realmente me emocionei e senti a história de uma maneira diferente. Para mim, esses episódios tiveram um peso emocional muito maior.

Por outro lado, preciso ser sincera: o drama ficou bastante arrastado, principalmente até o episódio 23. Em alguns momentos senti que a história poderia ter avançado muito mais rápido. Algumas situações pareciam se prolongar além do necessário e isso acabou diminuindo um pouco a minha empolgação.

Mesmo assim, gostei de ter chegado até o final. E o melhor é que, apesar das minhas reclamações durante a jornada 😂, o final conseguiu fechar bem as histórias e me deixou satisfeita. Não foi um drama perfeito para mim, mas também está longe de ser uma experiência ruim.

✨ Minha nota continua sendo 7,5/10.

Foi um drama com momentos muito bonitos, personagens que me conquistaram, cenas que me emocionaram e um final que entregou o que precisava. Porém, o ritmo mais lento e algumas partes arrastadas impediram que ele recebesse uma nota maior.

Resumo da dorameira: gostei, me emocionei, passei raiva, achei arrastado, torci pelos casais, sofri pelo médico solteiro 😂 e, no final, fiquei satisfeita.

7,5/10 — aprovado, mas poderia ter sido menos enrolado! 😂💕

Lots of Laughs & Sweetness

I loved this so much more than expected! It made me laugh, swoon, tense, hope, worry, tear up, & cheer. It’s both light & humorous but also deep & a bit angsty.

From the moment they meet, in both eras, their chemistry is immediate. The attraction is there, though he doesn’t always want to acknowledge it. But even while he’s planning to scam her due to her obvious naivety of the world, he’s still protective of her. And he ultimately can’t follow through because of her goodness that reminds him he’s more than a con.

I love experiencing the friendship & bond that forms between them. The chaos that comes with their cohabitation is hilarious & so sweet. I truly love the way they love they each other. Her love is immediate but it doesn’t make his love any less real. They’re both willing to sacrifice everything for the other, ultimately giving up the lives they’ve always known just to be together.

Highly recommend for fans of romance, fantasy, comedy, some melodrama, & happy endings 🫶🏻

The cast did great in their roles. I thought the pacing & storyline were good as they held my attention nicely. I loved the father/daughter duo & the bond they formed. And the Leads had great chemistry! 🫠

PS: the daughter? Total scene-stealer! Her young love is totes adorbs 🫶🏻

Fantasy Youth Drama

Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the relationship between the Leads. They were just so precious from their crazy “meet cute”, to their squabbling while cohabitating, to their genuine friendship & the bond they develop, to their deep love for & protection of one another. 🫶🏻

Did I dislike some aspects? Yes, ‘cause I’m never a fan of love triangles nor do I enjoy separations (whether breakups or, like here, memory loss). However, I still really liked watching this story unfold & would recommend it to anyone who likes the aspects listed above 🤗

Beautiful People, Meh Story

She’s a student hiding her shaman identity. He’s a student living a seemingly cursed life. Just what’s in store for this duo when their paths cross?

She falls for him at first sight & determines to save him. He despises shamans & treats her coldly. But fate intervenes when he shows up as her new classmate, giving her access to him once again. So she & her bestie work to become friends with this cold loner. Due to her attempts to protect him & a love triangle developing, chaos reigns with lots of heart & laughter.

This is a cute watch, but I was honestly disappointed with the last 2eps. That plot just didn’t work for me - all I could think was how this young ghost boy had now seen the FL n@k3d due to inhabiting her body. Such a violation of her! Just…no. 🤢

A lot was also lost on me due to not understanding a lot of the ritual aspects. So scenes that were supposed to be intense & emotive just felt dragged out because I had no clue why they were doing things in certain ways.

I wish we’d gotten more of the Leads as an actual couple since we had so many absolutely adorable moments of them together but not officially together, ya know? They had such great on-screen chemistry so I wanted more, haha.

I laughed. I swooned. I hurt. I worried. The cast did a really good job bringing their characters to life so kudos to them!

Such a Gem

How to describe this show?

Wholesome.
Endearing.
Heartwarming.
Inspiring.
Calming.
Therapeutic.
Beautiful.

This is one of the most angst-free law dramas I’ve ever watched (of all nationalities!) The cases are important & the lawyers take them seriously, but their maturity & sincerity keeps them from becoming huge, dramatic fights. And with each case they handle, they grow as individuals in both their personal & professional lives.

The cast did a fantastic job bringing this group of 5 to life. Kudos to each actor who brought their talents to our screens. They all had such great chemistry. And the main 5 are what squad goals are made of! Loved how there wasn’t any backstabbing or jealousy. Rather, they were each other’s greatest source of comfort & help. Their bond is so precious! And the couples were wonderful too. 🫶🏻 I adored the scenes of the main leads in all their relationship stages, as well as the adorableness of the secondary couple. True love looks good on them!!

Highly recommend this to all drama fans!!

PS: the secondary couple’s love is just as precious as the Leads’. The whole pregnancy plot line & how the hubby handled it? OhEmGee - swooooon! 🫠

Mature Love in the Office

A successful female CEO + a newly-hired male secretary. The paths that lead them to these positions haven’t been easy. Now that they’re working together, will they find any relief?

The FL’s independent & confident in her ability to tackle any issues that arise at work. Past betrayals have left her leery of trusting others so she takes any problems onto her own shoulders, leaving her worn out & overworked.

Being her complete opposite, the ML is very outgoing & considerate of his coworkers making it easy for him to make friends wherever he goes. He’s very responsible & mature, both in the workplace & at home with his young daughter. He places his child’s well-being above all, making him miss out on certain career advancements. He doesn’t regret it, though, as he loves his little girl with his whole heart (such a good dad!)

These three come to form a beautiful little family unit, helping each other heal from hurts & giving one another strength to face the obstacles of life. And yes, they have some pretty tough stuff to overcome.

The Leads have such a healthy & mature relationship, appropriate for their age. [I love when the adults actually behave like adults!] They each have such a precious & heartwarming bond with his daughter, too. I really enjoyed watching their story unfold, both as a couple & as a family of 3.

Bonus: the “love rivals” are both good people. They don’t try to break them up - they each accept the rejection & continue being their good friends (& they fall for each other, score!) 🙌🏻

Love that Lasts for Lifetimes

Sparks fly & chaos ensues when an imprisoned immortal meets a low-level mortal sent to serve him who’s different from the others - not wanting his power, not seeking to k!ll him, not wanting to be there… will her innocence be a weakness or a strength for this duo?

I quite enjoyed this drama, though I could’ve done without a few aspects. But the Leads had such a beautiful bond that I was able to overlook the things I didn’t like. I loved how this duo only ever had eyes for each other & how they were so protective of one another. Even in their amnesiac states, they still trusted one another despite believing they’re enemies. They had a love worth fighting for!

The plot & pacing did stutter a bit for me in the middle, but again, the Leads made it bearable. And even though it’s a happy ending, I truly wish the rules would change so that our time-travel dramas have us more satisfying endings of our Leads reuniting. We want the hugs, the kisses, the weddings, the life together! 😉

Kudos to the cast & crew for bringing this story to life, allowing us viewers the pleasure of witnessing this love story unfold, a love that spans lifetimes. 🫶🏻

Good for a vertical

I liked it! But i don't know if the tag gay romance should be there. In the last seconds it looked like he started to have feelings too, but it wasn't very clear...Maybe there will come a sequel? I wouldn't mind.
The fighting really looks real.
The visuals and music were good.

The actors did a great job, i really like the acting of Han Se Jin. I knew him from Mr. Heart where he was also great!

I really don't like verticals, so i won't re-watch, but if you can find a version where they pasted all the episodes into one long film i recommend watching. It was entertaining.

Love Blooms in Perilous Times

Navigating a web of secrets & uncovering hidden truths, the FL’s return to China isn’t easy in this period drama. The journey becomes more perilous when she witnessed the ML committing a crime. Will the remain foes or become allies in the dangerous days ahead?

Honestly, outside of the Leads’ relationship development & interactions, nothing much grabbed my attention with this story. I didn’t like the SML’s constant interference nor the SFL’s delusions; I didn’t enjoy how many good characters d¡ed; I didn’t get sucked into the plot twists. I think I was in the wrong mood for this type of story because the cast all did really good in their roles so I’m pretty sure the problem was with me 😂

The Leads were really great together, though. Both strong individuals who were willing to do the hard things for the good of their country. Their bond was unbreakable, their trust was unwavering, & their love unending. Definitely a power couple of their era 💕
