Por que demorei assistir essa série!

Essa foi uma série que me deixou com sentimentos bem misturados. Confesso que demorei para terminar, porque o ritmo é mais lento e, no começo, não consegui me conectar muito com a história.

Mas, conforme os episódios foram passando, fui entendendo a profundidade da trama. É uma série que traz reflexões muito bonitas sobre a importância da família, de valorizar as pessoas que nos acolhem e permanecem ao nosso lado nos momentos mais difíceis, além de mostrar como a honestidade e a integridade fazem toda a diferença.

Também aborda que, por mais que a gente queira crescer e conquistar nosso espaço no trabalho, tudo tem o seu tempo. Quando fazemos as coisas da maneira certa, a oportunidade certa sempre chega.

E o final… simplesmente lindo! 🥹❤️ Valeu a pena insistir até o último episódio.

Ticket to Heaven — The Temptation of Tanrak

Ticket to Heaven is, to me, less a BL romance than a story about temptation. It reminded me of Christ’s temptation in the desert—not because it retells Scripture, but because it asks the same timeless question: What are we willing to sacrifice for what we believe?

When I was a teenager, I once asked my cousin, a Catholic priest, how difficult it was to live the priesthood. His answer has stayed with me ever since.

He said being a true Catholic is already difficult because we are called to live according to our faith. Being a priest goes even further. It is not about fulfilling one’s wants or desires, but about sacrifice—giving oneself completely to God and choosing a life of service over personal fulfillment. He told me that many are called, but few are chosen.

That conversation became the lens through which I watched this series.

Although the story is set in a school for future seminarians rather than an actual seminary, it explores the same internal conflict: the struggle between faith and desire. Tanrak’s journey is not simply about falling in love with another boy. It is about confronting his own convictions, questioning the life he believed he was destined to live, and discovering whether his calling is genuine or merely inherited.

The writing cleverly uses biblical imagery throughout the series. Barth becomes the tempter—not evil, but the person who continually presents Tanrak with choices. The apple, the roti wrap, climbing over fences, breaking rules—each symbolizes another step away from certainty. Every episode slowly erodes Tanrak’s innocence until desire becomes impossible to ignore.

What impressed me most is that the series never portrays temptation as purely physical. Tanrak is an orphan who has longed for affection all his life. Barth gives him the attention, warmth, and acceptance he has always lacked. That emotional hunger makes the temptation far more believable than simple attraction. It raises an important question: are we witnessing genuine love, or is Tanrak confusing love with the need to be loved?

Episode four remains my favorite. Joe’s conversation about the priesthood beautifully captures its essence—not loving one person, but sacrificing oneself in order to love many. That echoes exactly what my cousin once explained to me, and it gives the series its emotional and spiritual center.

Fourth delivers another remarkable performance. He completely disappears into Tanrak, portraying innocence, guilt, longing, fear, and internal conflict with remarkable subtlety. Every emotional breakdown feels earned, making Tanrak’s journey the true heart of the series.

Gemini, however, left me wanting more. Barth carries deep resentment toward God, yet that anger rarely feels fully realized. Gemini naturally projects warmth and sincerity, qualities that work wonderfully in many roles, but here Barth needed a sharper edge and a more volatile emotional presence. I wanted to see a broken young man whose pain slowly softened because of Tanrak. Instead, Barth often felt gentle from the beginning, making his emotional arc less compelling.

This also touches on one of my recurring criticisms of the Thai BL industry. Established “ships” sometimes dictate casting more than character. While Gemini and Fourth undeniably possess excellent chemistry, chemistry alone does not always create the strongest performances. Sometimes the best actor for a role may not belong to the established pairing. Chinese and Japanese productions often feel freer in this regard, casting actors based primarily on the needs of the story rather than audience expectations.

Ironically, because Gemini and Fourth remain so closely associated with My School President, I occasionally found it difficult to completely separate these characters from those earlier roles. That familiarity slightly weakened the illusion this darker, more mature story was trying to create.

The finale will satisfy most viewers, but I don’t believe the ending is the true point of the series. This is not ultimately a story about choosing between love and the Church. It is about people of faith wrestling with guilt, identity, acceptance, and sacrifice. Whether Tanrak’s decision is viewed as happy or tragic depends entirely on one’s understanding of what happiness truly means.

Ticket to Heaven asks difficult questions without pretending to have easy answers. For that alone, it deserves recognition. It is one of the rare Thai BLs that invites viewers not merely to watch a romance, but to reflect on faith, vocation, temptation, and the cost of following one’s convicti

I can't even put into words how I feel about this series. I waited so long for the day I could finally watch it, and now it’s already over. How fast did the time fly? I feel like I was a part of BarthTanrak’s story. I felt deeply connected to every scene and experienced every emotion with my whole being. It is simply a masterpiece! Faith, Hope, and Love - Perfectly mixed

Regardless of your personal beliefs, this is a series worth watching. It tackles the difficult intersection of queer identity and our beliefs that we have carried through our lifetime.

GeminiFourth take to the roles so authentically, and you can relate every step of the way. It has it's ups and downs, and you feel so many emotions along the way.

6 episodes may seem short, and while I could have watch another 6, I think it was just the right length for the story it was telling.

I don't want to give any spoilers so I'll leave it at this, but if you're unsure about watching, whether because you aren't religious, of a different faith, or think it's may not be your cup of tea, all I can say is that it's absolutely worth a watch.

Drama 10/10

Que drama incrível! ❤️ Simplesmente uma obra que te prende do início ao fim. É impossível assistir e não se envolver com a história.

Os atores entregaram atuações impecáveis, cheias de emoção, e o roteiro foi extremamente bem escrito. Cada episódio desperta um sentimento diferente e faz a gente querer assistir ao próximo sem parar.

Eu já tinha criado muitas expectativas para essa série, mas ela conseguiu superar todas elas. Foi uma experiência emocionante e inesquecível.

Super recomendo esse drama! Vale cada minuto. ❤️✨

Amazing from start to finish

I dont even have the words. This was so incredibly good. I almost didn't tune in at all because the premise seemed cheesy. Holy crap, I got more than I could possibly have asked for! I got more than I knew I wanted!

It was so thoughtful and restrained in a lot of ways. But it was also full of emotions. I felt all of them but I didnt feel like I was manipulated into it. They just organically grew out of the story, and the way it was told. I literally cried for the entire last episode!

The acting was amazing. The ability of both Gemini & Fourth to portray so much emotion without speaking was true artistry. I was on the edge of my seat with my heart in my hand for every episode. Each character was superbly executed. And I felt invested in all of them, not just the mains. The Father gave me life. So did Lek in the finale.

The cinematography was beautiful. The light and the dark. The moments of stillness, especially between the mains. Just incredible.

The intimacy between Tanrak and Barth is electric. And I'm not talking about NC scenes (this is pretty innocent as far as BLs go), I'm talking about the expressions of intense, inescapable love between them. And every time they kissed it was like a million fireworks exploding. Chemistry on top of chemistry (layered with good acting, a good script, and good direction).

If you haven't seen it already, go watch it right now.

a dissapointment that couldve been good

it sucks because it started off great, but i dont even know when the plot started to become terrible.

i think the moment when i knew it was truly over for this show was when we FINALLY got the cancer reveal and the acting from everybody was so ridiculous.

first of all, they basically dropped the cancer thing for most of the show. then when it was finally coming back this big reveal we've been waiting for... god.
the acting was terrible, the writing was terrible, all of it was terrible. what happened??? we started pretty strong.

the female couple was basically useless. no screen time at all no chemistry no nothing. the actresses were together in the show candy and they're actually pretty good so i think the creators of the show just fumbled unbelievably. and the secondary couple just seemed predatory.

i wish they cut all the side character romances out and just focussed on the main couple tbh. if they focussed in on them i think they could've made something good. its a shame it all became so messy.

When Outstanding Acting Meets Exceptional Storytelling

From the very first episode to the last, this drama completely captivated me. The story is beautifully written, deeply emotional, and stays with you long after it ends. Every episode made me feel something, and the final episode was simply perfect. The chemistry between the leads is amazing, and their performances made every emotion feel genuine and believable. They brought their characters to life so naturally that I found myself completely invested in their journey. This is one of those rare dramas that makes you laugh, cry, hope, and reflect all at once. It will stay in my heart for a very long time. If I could, I would gladly give it 15/10 stars.

The Disappointment We Lived In

The concept was great but the execution failed at every turn. The show starts off strong when the hitman knocks out the owner of a house and is told not to kill him but lock him in the basement while he has to search for a phone which for some reason, he doesn't actually spend time looking for. Then we get a guest at the house mistaking the hitman for his friend's brother. Turns out he's a cop. Sounds exciting, right? Except the cop is dumb as a doorknob.

The problem is that the hitman isn't killing and the cop isn't investigating or arresting anyone. Also the cop can't fight nor use his brain. He is clearly not cut out for the job so MINOR SPOILER I was very happy he quits at the end.

There was solid potential for some thrill and tension but both characters turned soft. And then there's a mystery behind a death but none of it made sense. I'm not sure how they got away with the crime in the first place.

The 2 positives are that the theme music is great and all the actors are goodlooking. But the only acting I thought was decent was the hitman's. The script was weak and they managed to make the show feel very slow paced even at 20 mins an episode.

Amidst all the chaos, the leads manage some loving. It was a bit ridiculous but okay they looked good together.

I actually feel bad rating it poorly but the show fell well below my expectations.

Defintely recommending to watch!

I don’t know about yall but I loved everything from that series. I read some reviews talking about plot holes but hey does Blew and Vayo have to be perfect too? They can also be a little stupid sometimes and do some things wrong—I personally don’t think it is considered a plot hole.

The love story was very beautiful between them—the angst here was also very needed and very real because it wouldn’t fit for her to stay as a princess.

I’d love to see Blew’s family—the king and prince at the wedding, but it felt more real that they weren’t here so I’m completely okay with that.

The plot for me was absolutely very amazing and it didn’t made me bored a single time. I also like slow burns better—so yes I’ll say that The Air is my favorite from 4 Elements series.

I’d like to take a moment to compliment on the character that Helena was. I think it was very well written and Becky pulled her off perfectly. Her story is really tragic and I feel bad for her but also she made a good decision in the end. Grace made her and Henri suffer so much, but she was also a very good written character. I didn’t had any idea at the start that it’d be her to betray the princess. I honestly also didn’t expect her to have such a reason for doing all that, I thought it was only for money and the power but I didn’t thiught much about that so maybe that’s why I didn’t really noticed.

Also I need to mention that FreenBecky are amazing actresses and they did such a good job with this series, I’m really hooked by their acting.

Their characters were very well written for me, the princess was so in love but didn’t realized that because all the life she had only been a royal person thinking about her duties and never knew what love is. That’s why she returned to Madelin first and only then resigned from the throne instead of chasing after Lom right them at the hospital when she had a chance and could told everyone to stay longer. Lom was also very good, a girl who was just joking and playing around but found a love that she thought was impossible. She never wanted to cross the line and was scared of doing anything but in the end she got her happy ending. I also really admire her story as a police officer, it was amazing to watch her in those scenes, she was so cool.

It was so nice to watch it every week for those 2 months, hurts to say goodbye to my LomBlew but I’ll see them a bit in The Fire too and I look forward to that!!

​The dynamic between Choi Min-sik and Choi Hyun-wook is brilliant—it is a quiet, intellectual tug-of-war where you are never quite sure who is actually control. It is the kind of slow-burn, atmospheric drama that leaves you looking at everyday boundary-crossing a little differently after the credits roll.

10/10 Legendary Tv-Show
This is an all-time great film. This is close to perfection, ! mean it. From top to bottom, everything is perfect. The martial arts and CGI is legendary. I never seen a tv-show with so many great deities and great fighters (never ending top fighters) and it's never a dull moment. Crushed 27 straight episodes in a few days because it's a rarity to find films like this. After films like Side story of Fox Volant, Who rules the world (one of the best female leads) and heavenly sword, I can't think of a film that has consistent martial arts and would exceed pass those mentioned. This is film shoulo be summarized is one word "Perfect"
Trust me, there is never a dull moment, I can't get over how they made this. I wish there were more films like this. I must say that I always love K-drama but oh my, C-drama is making some exceptional films, especially with amazing CGI and stronger female leads. K-Drama needs to take note because it's becoming too predictable now with soapy love helplessness plots like Alcadamy of souls. This film is really a must watch on all levels and it shouldn't be anything less than a 9.4 - this film is a legit 10/10 and is an all time great.

This is the funniest and yet a very emotional series. It rips your heart out right at the beginning, every episode is twisting it (especially ep 5
(o) and somehow packs an
ample amount of humour to ease the pain.
The male leads (Tseng Jing Hua & Peng Cian You) chemistry is amazing and their acting is exceptional. The only negative is the stupidity of the police, but (are we even surprised about this?) it isn't too bothersome.
This series has the perfect balance between comedy, fantasy, family and detective drama. All 12 episodes are sprinkled with life lessons.
The show absolutely deserves a 2nd (and many more) season.

Father, if I like boys, can I still go to heaven?

The title came from the first pilot trailer released two years ago that. It was delivered with such depth that I happily waited years to see the execution. As you already know the series focuses on the tension between faith and desire, the dilemma between right and wrong. Tanrak, a scholarship student set on the path of becoming a priest meets his forbidden desire, Barth. On one side lies his lifelong wish of meeting his parents in Heaven and on another side lies a newfound love that gives him happiness. So the question is what will he choose? Happiness in this life or in the next??

As someone who had been waiting for this ever since the first trailer was released, it's been two years and I can confirm that this has been a well-executed project. The cinematography, the symbolism, the angle of viewpoint, each part had a meaning. every character played their part in the plot. The actors were phenomenal. Special shoutout to Fourth, I hope he can venture into different range of acting, because he is a gifted actor. The Father, Master phak; their character truly represented God on earth; someone who is willing to forgive you as long as you remember to come back. As for Barth, I understand his rebellious nature.

Now for things that I expected: The pilot trailer was so dark and angsty. The concept really took an axe to the most controversial topic. But after I saw the new trailer before the series was released, I knew that they took a safe path and watered down things a lot. I felt the series could've been two episodes longer. Cause I wanted to see Tanrak gradually falling for Barth and then the tension. Them suddenly eloping from school when they didn't really have any other place to go was diabolical. They were seniors, I'm sure they can wait a few months to graduate and do whatever they want later. Barth is uncontrollable but Tanrak confessing to Father and then in the next scene leaving school didn't sit right with me. And they didn't also explained whether they were allowed to return to Magdalene school. As a Catholic school. no matter how merciful, there's no way this can be allowed, right?
Anyway, this was a good series, made with care. I understand their choice of plot. But I would've loved to see a bit more bold , angsty approach. This was a good start, and I hope to see many more good series in the future

Non so cosa scrivere come titolo

Allora, questa serie è veramente perfetta, sale la mia personale classifica delle serie della GMMTV e arriva a stazionare al secondo posto di suddetta classifica (niente di prodotto dalla GMMTV riuscirà mai a battere Not Me, per me). Ma è riuscita nella complessa impresa di vincere un biglietto di sola andata verso lo scatolo dove stazionano le serie che non rivedrò mai più, assieme alla quarta puntata di Grey Rainbow, i cui ultimi 10 minuti mi hanno traumatizzata a vita e assiema a, per ragioni estremamente personali, Love After Addiction, perché io nella vita non rivedrò MAI più la scena in cui vengono chiamati e gli si viene detto che "due amici delle superiori hanno deciso di sposarsi in questo remoto villaggio". Detto ciò il rewatch basso non è perché la serie non abbia un potenziale di rewatch, ma è solo perché non mi ritroverete MAI e poi MAI a rivederla. Ticket to Heaven mi ha parlato, come solo appunto Not Me aveva fatto: mi ha parlato della mia fede e mi ha permesso di consolidare le fonadamenta di quello che ritengo essere una cosa altamente personale, il proprio rapporto con Dio. Visto quante persone ho visto aver ricevuto qualcosa sulla propria fede da questa serie, ovviamente te ne fa capire l'impatto: una serie non parla a così tante persone se non ha qualcosa da dire, ma sopratutto se non ci sono tante persone pronte ad ascoltarla. Come P'Aof era pronto a parlare, anche gli spettatori sono stati pronti ad ascoltare. E probabilmente questa serie è stata il giusto tramite. Come anche lo sono stati tutti gli attori che hanno interpretato questi personaggi altamente complessi, dove nessuno è veramente un cattivo (a parte se vogliamo proprio trovarne uno, il padre di Barth), dove il male se vogliamo, come il bene, passa solo da noi e dalla nostra interiorità. Quello che gli altri vedono e ci dicono serve fino ad un certo punto, perché con Dio solo io mi devo rapportare, il rapporto con la fede si basa solo su due persone, non su tre o infinite, solo due. Però al contempo gli altri possono condizionare il rapporto tra due persone e di conseguenza anche capire come approcciare queste altre persone, che possono sentirsi toccate dalle scelte di altri p fondamentale. Però, appunto, è bello vedere che il cattivo vero, alla fine dei conti, non è nemmeno Dio, ma alla fine dei conti, è sempre dentro di noi. Mi è piaciuto il finale, dove si vedono (e commento estemporaneo, ho visto gli attori veramente invecchiati, che facciano fare lo stesso corso alle serie che vogliono usare trame simili) i personaggi e i loro percorsi di vita: chi ha seguito una strada che era sua, chi ne ha seguita una che forse non era sua al 100%, chi è riuscito a evolvere il proprio pensiero per adattarlo ai tempi, chi è passato dal segreto alla luce e chi è arrivato, con alcune peripezie, esattamente dove doveva arrivare. Ecco, più una serie è bella e più sono critica (perché ho alte aspettative, mentre per serie cringe, non aspettandomi molto, non fatico nemmeno nel giudizio) e anche qui ho una piccola critica da fare: dobbiamo un momento prendere in causa Meloni Luccicanti o per gli amici Twinkilng Watermelon. Allora in questa serie ad un certo punto succede un evento, poi c'è un time skip (particolare) e poi boom, che siamo nel futuro (o meglio presente, ma sono dettagli) e succedono delle cose e non si capisce bene come siamo arrivati dal punto A (il passato) al punto B (il futuro/presente). Ecco qui succede un pelino la stessa cosa (però meno potente): noi ci lasciamo con Rak che ci mette l'ansia che faccia una mossa tipo Nueg in Never Let Me Go e poi boom che siamo nel futuro, uno ingegnere, l'altro musicista (o qualcosa di simile) e con una spiegazione del tipo "eh, abbiamo lavota, abbiamo sudato, abbiamo studiato e poi siamo arrivati qua". Bene, per l'appunto, non è Meloni Luccicanti, dove si passa veramente da A a B senza nemmeno una via indicativa sulla strada, ma anche qua, non è che si veda come vincono le avversità di cui parlano, cosa che mi sarebbe piaciuta, mi sarebbe piaciuto vedere qualche momento in cui magari dicono che forse sarebbe stato più facile tornare dove erano, ma che devno continure a lottare. Insamma mi sarebbe piaciuto vedere un po' di più di quella linea accennata, proprio perché le difficoltà non finiscono nel momento in cui si accetta di provare a combatterle. Detto questo, passando un momento a parlare di gemini e Fourth, sono molto contenta di averli visti maturati e cresciuti, e sono stati molto validi sia come ragazzini (ruolo che a quanto pare hanno cucito addosso) e adulti.
In conclusione, guardatela tutti almeno una volta, anche perché non sono rìcerta che si riesca a vederla più di una.
