Why??
Probably one of the worst and unnecessary endings i have ever seen in an Asian drama. I'll never understand the need for most TV shows/movies that relate to Japan, have to have a sad or ridiculous "up to your imagination" ending. I only suffered through the last few episodes because of me being a fan of Kang Hye-won (Friendly Rivalry was a masterpiece). The writing and direction felt like they just got lazy and gave up half way through. To say this was a let down is a massive understatement. Was this review helpful to you?
One of the better shorts
This short had a good story and was executed quite well. But the last confrontation at the table wasn't done very well. It would have been a lot better if they just made this a movie instead of a short.Unfortunatly all the fighting scenes looked fake.
It has great visuals.
Acting whole cast was ok, but not great. And the boss of the bad guys was really bad.
The acting of the mains was good and they have great chemistry. The kisses and intimate scenes are also great!

Refreshing
Don't expect any plot or logic. If you like YinWar, just go for it. Loved it. A roller-coaster ride. One time watchable. Both the leads were really good as usual. Their chemistry was the only thing that made me to finish the series. Music was good and relaxing. The emotions they show really hit me. There are some negative reviews as there are no logic or plot, but sometimes IT'S OKAY to watch these kind of movies. It purely depends on individual's taste and likes. So, I suggest to watch it if you like YinWar.

The conclusion was also great, one of the best I have seen recently & extremely satisfying. This is a perfect example of how a drama should end.

Amazing dreama must watch
The drama focuses on the experience of a college student Kohei, who is hard of hearing and his classmate Taichi. While the plot may not be ground-breaking, it somehow excels in character development. It also respectfully handled the topic of disability. The heart of this drama for me lies in the individual development of Kohei and Taichi after meeting each other.
It sensitively portrays Kohei's struggle due to hearing impairment and how this impacts his interactions with others and his sense of self. I liked how he socialized and made friends, finally coming out of his shell after meeting Taichi. It was absolutely a delight to see him smile.

MOTHING happens, but cute sometimes
NOTHING HAPPENS type of series, but worth it if you like the lads. What little that does happen does not make much sense, so you should not really pay attention to it. I could not do it, so I am not pleased with this aspect. Details are in a spoilers-tagged comment below.
The only worthy point the series is making is the problem with gay marriage legality, which was still unsolved in 2022, what has changed in Thailand in 2025.
* * *
The whole premise is utterly toxic before events even begin.
And normally, unlike most others here, I applaud series that showcase toxic behaviours because this is what does actually happen in real life, and this needs to be covered in media, if they even remotely trying to reflect some basic truths of human nature and how it expresses itself.
Viewers are supposed to have agency and judge by themselves if those behaviours are acceptable to them or not, so I am vehemently against any attempts to censor and sanitize stories.
However, the toxic premise here is fantastical as it does not ever happen in actual life at all, so it does not have the purpose of showing how reality works.
So if this makes you uncomfortable then no need to force yourself to watch it for the sake of getting some truth pill on how things go in the world of no rainbows and ponies, what is normally the benefit of other “toxic” shows.
HOWEVER, this all might be irrelevant depending on how much you love cute lads, in which case you should absolutely watch the series.

A Masterpiece Destroyed by a Cruel Finale
Rating:10/10 (until the final episode) --> 0/10 Emotional Impact
I am absolutely devastated and stunned. Doona! was a 10 out of 10 for me—a dreamlike, passionate journey that completely captured my heart. But the ending? The ending is simply unfair, unrealistic, and emotionally cruel.
It breaks my heart to see how much Doona reached out to Won-jun. Despite her fame and her deep vulnerability, she was the one to take the first step in the latest meaningfulsituations.
She stood before him like a little girl asking for love, pleading with him just to wait for her.
The way he reacted—so cold and dismissive in those moments—is incomprehensible to me and contradicts everything they built together.
Love should always win—especially a love this deep, passionate and genuine.
The show forces a sense of hopelessness at the end that feels artificial and contrived. When two people are still falling into each other’s arms in tears after years apart, there is a way!
The creators’ decision to leave the audience with this emptiness and despair isn't "profound" storytelling; it’s a betrayal of everyone who followed their story with passion.
Much like in La La Land, love is sacrificed for career or circumstances. To me, this isn’t realistic—it’s just unnecessarily painful.
I am infinitely sad and left heavy crying and deeply disappointed by how such a wonderful connection could be ended this way.
I will NEVER watch this traumatic K-Drama again, like LaLaLand :-(

A very quick romcom. The fighting phase is intense and the reconsiliation phase is swoonworthy. I feel the 30 days waiting time was too quick, they should've dive deeper about how they both fall in love again . They added too much cliche here. White Truck of Doom and double amnesia, but dang it, they made it important to the story. The comedy level is really good here, even though most of them were just slapsticks. Kang Haneul and Jung So Min both delivered it very well. Overall it's refreshing to watch. Rewatch if you need a refreshment from your tense daily life.

Was Love Worth It in the End?
Where do I even begin with this hot mess. The drama centers on Hao Yu (Lu Zhao Hua), the police commissioner's foster daughter, who goes undercover in the criminal underworld for revenge. Along the way, she gets romantically tangled with mafia heir Ji Zhi Jie (Fan Zhi Xin). Her ex-lover, police officer Zhou Zi Heng (Li Jia Bing), conveniently reappears to "help" her. Or so it seems.
First of all, Hao Yu is the worst undercover informant I have ever seen. The signs were practically glowing neon for Ji Zhi Jie--she was not on the "up and up" with him in any way. Her excuses were weak, lies were weaker, and anyone with common sense could see she wasn't telling the truth. But he chose to ignore all of it. Because he loved her that much.
Seriously. No matter what happened, he always took her side.
1. He gets beat down who knows how many times.
2. He gets whipped for her.
3. He crawls on his knees on broken glass to get a key and save her when she's kidnapped.
But of course, she has to "keep up pretenses." She even takes a bullet for him, which convinces him she's fully committed. The signs were there, but he ignored every one of them. Even his closest confidante told him Hao Yu couldn't be trusted. So many people warned him, but he kept choosing to believe her.
And the ridiculousness continues--Zhou Zi Heng is a dirty cop working both sides: feeding information to the police and to the mafia boss who raised both him and Ji Zhi Jie. Naturally, Ji Zhi Jie knows absolutely nothing about any of this. Shocking right?
Finally -- finally -- when his man brings him photos and proof of all Hao Yu has done; he completely breaks down. He kills Zhou Zi Heng, pushes away everyone close to him, and turns into this dark, hardened version of himself. You'd think Hao Yu would exit stage left at that point. Nope. She sticks around because now she wants to bring him down.
Hao Yu had me on my last, last nerve. I don't understand why he didn't just leave her alone. She was truly pathetic. Her infiltration attempts were laughable -- she always got caught, and he always had to save her. That whining, the crying, the clothes, those nails...I simply could not.
Now let's talk about Fan. I love me some Fan. He acted his heart out. But how many times did he grab her by the neck and threaten to kill her? Countless. And yet, he never followed through. He told everyone to leave him because he wanted to take down the councilman, and he begged her over and over: "Don't believe what others say. Trust me." She never did.
He was never the monster they thought he was. He just wanted to end everything so the people he loved could finally live freely. If only she had trusted him -- no matter what.
To finally end things, he chose to become a kingpin because he needed everyone to believe he had turned into the world's worst villain, even though he hated the lies and the cruelty. Behind the scenes, he was working with the cops to make things right. He even met one of the officers to coordinate with Hao Yu. Eventually, the truth came out, and she finally learned who he really was -- someone trying to do the right thing all along.
He gave her so many signs and gestures...but in the end, he still died, saving her. He left so much to her. All his properties. Swiss bank account with money for the children from the orphanage he created for them to go to college.
She did finally understand how much he loved her when she read a note that fell from a book.
"I've knelt three times. The first time, I begged him to let you live. The second time, I begged for the right to die by your hand. The third time, to give thanks for meeting you."
Fan needs to start choosing better scrips. Go back to those Lethal Man style dramas. These recent ones are not doing him any favors. His acting is always solid, but this FL brought nothing to the table for me.
The turbulence never stopped -- because this relationship was doomed from the start.

When "Pursuit of Jade" becomes a real jade.
Okay, I'm done. I finished watching the drama at night. Now, after a few hours of thinking about it, I can already write a review. The series is great. It has an interesting plot with many plot twists. It's not obvious and you can really be surprised by what happens in the next episode.
The director, Zeng Qing Jie, painted a light-and-frame masterpiece while shooting. Whenever you pause the drama, you see a beautiful frame. Some of them are really stunning. What I thought while watching The Pursuit of Jade is that film academy students should learn from it how to make a drama full of outstanding frames and paint with light.
About the FL and ML:
张凌赫
Besides his appearance and "pretty face," Linghe showed again that it's not his looks that make him a good actor, but his abilities. I'm really impressed by how fast Zhang Linghe's acting has developed. With every following drama, he acts better and better. And he's quite brave ;) Every romantic scene he played wonderfully. In this role, he's very calm, even-tempered, and prudent. He's impartial, protective, and has a big heart. His love for Changyu is timeless.
田曦薇
And Tian Xi Wei… here I have a little problem. She played Fan Chang Yu very well, but unfortunately, she killed all the romantic scenes. In one of the BTS clips, ZHL tells her that she's allergic to romantic scenes. And no more, no less — it's true. Shame, because every one of them was planned by the director down to the smallest detail — how to turn the head, how to hug, how to kiss, etc. But I was really impressed by how much strength she has! Carrying a guy who's 22 cm taller and, of course, weighs more — that was a huge challenge, and she did it! And playing a heroine with a past full of unknowns, a strong temper, and raising a little one (and a very cute one at that — applause for that tiny little actress!) must have been mentally hard to bear.
How is the ending? For me, it's good. The last episode luckily didn't kill the drama, which I was really afraid of. It's very nostalgic and the final scenes… here was probably the biggest surprise :D but I like it. If it had been the "great royal wedding of FL and ML," it would have been a catastrophe. But it's not. I don't want to write anymore ;)
Oh, and I almost forgot about the opening credits! Usually I don't pay attention to them, but here… God, even this was remarkable. The animation is cool and the music — top it off!
Just watch it. It's really worth it! 10/10 is an accurate rate :)
PS Now I have a problem, because I have 2 beloved costume dramas... and this will be the 3rd one ;) How to order them on the podium? I have no idea at all.... ;)

Life is only for those who want to Live
This is one of those dramas that catches you off guard completely, it's quite entertaining in all aspects and you won't be bored especially because of BJT's character has such a charm with a cute side and really straightforward character that you'll love for sure and pair it up with a typical yet specialized Janice Wu fun yet cool character you get a drama for ages and that is not all, this drama has lot of veteran actors from the dramaland all of who impress in different points of time throughout the drama. Overall, this is one of the dramas that delivers in the finest way possible, yet keeping its minimalistic style throughout and thus bringing out a super fun and heartwarming watch with a satisfactory ending in all ways. This is one of my favourite dramas, it gave me similar vibes to that of Hometown ChaChaCha , Meet Yourself and If You Wish Upon Me, all of which are amongst my favs and no doubt this one is as well!

Sigh!
Some series make me wonder why they have been made in the first place. This is one of them. Everything is either mediocre or just plain bad. Acting: mediocre. Cinematography: Bad. Sound: Bad. Story: Bad. Music: wrong.Dialogues are slow and unnatural. Events are illogical and weird. I understand that most issues come from working with a very limited budget, but come on, a little creativity from actors and director could have countered that.
I rarely drop series, but if this would have been any longer I certainly would have dropped it. Now I settled for fast forwarding and just watching the kissing scenes. Those were not too bad, but could not make up for the rest. Sigh.
