I watched this rom com series between 18 and 21 February 2026. All of us know the famous Arabian Nights story of Aladdin from childhood, either through books, movies, or animation. This series feels inspired by that core idea, but it creates a completely different romantic story.The origin of the Genie is explained in the beginning. You see how he came into existence, why there are only three wishes, and how he got trapped inside the lamp. It is not very similar to Aladdin, but it will remind you of it.
The first one or two episodes feel slow and slightly confusing. The plot takes some time to settle.
My personal opinion: The finale has mixed reactions. Some people call it a sweet reunion, while others think it feels messy and rushed. Even though the ending is happy, I personally felt it was a bit weak in writing. It could have been done better. I was planning to give it 6, but because the concept is creative, I give it 7 out of 10.

She is one Bad Ass Female
SHE CAME. SHE SAW. SHE CONQUERED THE SEATING ARRANGEMENT.This FL was a powerhouse, she not only devoured the scheming concubine, but she turned the others 100% on her side. Then she somehow won our ML's heart.
Great show, and the wig lines were only slightly visible. Loved the almost reverse harem, where they aren't trying to kill each other.
She walked in. She's the daughter of a general, she grew up in a war room, and she is applying every single lesson to this marriage whether her husband is ready or not.
He is not ready.
Nobody is ever ready.
That's the whole show.
Here's what separates the truly iconic historical FL from the merely competent one: she is dangerous in multiple languages.
She can outmaneuver you politically. She can humiliate you verbally. AND if you back her into a corner she will solve that problem with wirework and absolutely zero hesitation.
THE BATTLE OF WITS IS THE ROMANCE.
Forget the almost-kiss. Forget the hand graze. Forget the dramatic rain confession.
The real romantic climax of every powerful FL historical drama is the moment he realizes he's losing and decides he doesn't actually want to win.
She makes a political move so elegant he doesn't see it coming. He counters. She anticipated the counter. He stares at the board. She's already at dinner smiling politely and he is standing there doing the math on how long she's been three steps ahead of him.

Nine Layers of Purple: A Reincarnation Story Made Right
You can choose to bloom alone, but you may also want to be tended to and bloom even brighter. This is the reason why this adaptation of the Nine-Layered Purple Flower drama is named Blossom.Scriptwriting. "When a deer hunter sees a rabbit, he must be patient. When a deer hunter sees the mountain, he must be open-minded." As a sucker for brilliant scripts, I must say this was a gem. It sits on a pedestal with Nirvana in Fire , not quite Rise of Phoenixes, but you get me. While you can say something directly, you can also leave the audience guessing. It took a lot of brain that I had to skip backward to analyze some lines or take screenshots because dang, I found a good line. I have not read the novel, but I guess they stayed true to the original storyline, and the author must be really good.
Plot. Despite censorship on reincarnation, this drama gave us the angst of a bitter past life that planted in us the desire to see a happy ending. It starts of with a powerful episode - one driving an arrow piercing through our main leads, shattering the glass, leading them to fall into the abyss, and waking them up confused and lonely. Whether this was a past life or just a dream, the desire, not just to survive, but to be happy is strong. This hooks you right at the very start. Other reincarnation adaptations either omitted the bitter past life part or assumed we know about the bitter past and just move on but not this one.
Then, as the story progressed, there was a fine line between whether one can truly alter fate or believe it is set in stone. Duo Zhao had the foresight and was able to use it to win in business, amassing the fortune she needed to support herself in the future. She knew about the key players and approached them, using them right for about a third of the story. The rest, she had to navigate on her own.
The conflict was the conspiracy of the empress, Prince Qing, and the rest of the nobles and other distant royal members. This was too huge that when investigating, one cannot be careless. It had to be dealt with within one blow hence pushing the empress and Prince Qing to commit treason, driven to a point of no return. This was a scheme by the emperor who wanted to create a clean government. However, his constant portrayal of favor to the royal family and the nobles has created a divide between him and Duke of Ding (his best friend and one he dreamed of creating that clean government with). He only showed favoritism because he wanted to deal with the villains in one go, but, this created a huge misunderstanding instead especially between him and Song Mo (the greatest fan of Duke of Ding, his uncle). In the end, it was revealed that he only wanted the Duke of Ding's support for the Crown Prince hence he agreed to call back the duke to the capital, however, there could have been other ways to do this. In the end, as we would have it, the problem is solved, and they live happily ever after.
The drama was 34 episodes long. It took me 2 years to finish it lol. I started it and loved it when it was still showing, even recommended it to my niece. But I think I got bored at episode 20 and perhaps got tired of waiting so I only finished it 2026 after the same niece encouraged me to finish it. I rewatched from the start because I forgot what happened. And I did not regret it. The general plot is ok, as a lover of good plots. It is not without flaws like dragging the plot, adding unnecessary storylines, and family drama. Nevertheless, 34 episodes was good enough.
Most iconic scene - Song Mo on his horse, bending down to kiss Duo Zhao as the army exits the gate. Superb!!!
Characters. Duo Zhao, as you would expect is your strong independent woman. A plenty of times she mentioned and proved that she was her own salvation. After a failed marriage in her past life, it is expected that she would be traumatized to try to love again so she avoided it as much as she could. However, a strong independent woman may not need a man, she might deserve a good one. And an excellent one is who she had. Her being through a lifetime taught her to be mature. I love how she always looked after Song Mo when they got married and always initiated communication.
Song Mo, on the other hand, is a bit impulsive. He is not the typical male lead we have who knows exactly how things happen. At first, I was a bit disappointed because he always gets himself in trouble, however, after meeting Duo Zhao, he started to learn how to temper things. And this is good because we shouldn't always have the same hero who is always perfect. His most memorable scene was when he said, "I think my wife doesn't love me." Wahahahaha. He had no idea his wife was around 45 to 50 years old maturity and intimacy was in the bottom of her list. Nevertheless, he was so smitten by her.
Duo Zhao and Song Mo had a rough start including a sword pointed to her neck. It's not exactly enemies to lovers, more of do I trust you if not I will get rid of you kind of way. Then, there was admiration, courtship coated in protection, confession, and then agreement. After marriage, they stayed strong and supported each other. There was open and honest communication. They were a power couple. We actually get a lot of sweet scenes here as compared to other dramas.
As for the other characters, I would like to point out Gu Yu and his lack of presence in the story. Maybe an introduction of him, how they became friends, why does he side with Song Mo instead of his cousin. He could have been used more in the story. Prince Qing and Crown Prince as well deserve more screen time. What is the beef between them aside from just rivals? Is there no way to patch their relationship or whatnot. Some of the characters I really hated tho - Song Han, Ji Yong (for a good amount of time), and the emperor.
Acting. Umm. No. It is hard to not think what if other actors were casted. No offence but Li Yun Rui has a hard time managing his facial expressions. Meng Zi Yi is ok. She portrays a mature woman with a plenty of experiences. Although, when put together, they are good together. Lol.
Music. Not very much. I usually watch sweet scenes because of music even if I don't like the characters but this time, I watch their sweet scenes because I like their chemistry.
Overall, I like this because I am a sucker for reincarnation stories, and this is done the best among other adaptations - Kunning Palace, The Double, and Female General (What a loss. I read the novel. I love Ryan Cheng, but it just doesn't hold a candle.). The script is certainly the top for me, then the plot, then the chemistry.

Moody, Magical, and Low-Budget
I had an okay time with this one. I enjoyed the characters and the themes, and I thought the core concept was fun and intriguing. It centers on a woman with unusual abilities, and each episode follows her as she gets involved in different situations that gradually connect to a larger personal storyline.It also weaves in the lives of the people she meets along the way, adding a nice layer to the storytelling, especially considering how low-budget the production is. The costumes are beautiful, and I loved the use of magic, spiritual powers, and reincarnation with overlapping past-life connections.
What dragged it down for me, though, was the delivery and overall production quality. The low budget was noticeable in how everything translated on screen. The script was also harder to engage with because the subtitles were clearly AI-generated, which made it difficult to fully invest in the story due to awkward translations.
Still, it worked as a nice, lazy, casual watch—something easy to fit in between more serious films.

This review may contain spoilersAs a long-time viewer of His Man, I feel the need to share my disappointment with the current season. A show I once admired for its honesty now feels very different in tone and structure.
The elimination rule changes the essence of the show. A dating show should focus on emotional growth and genuine connection, not pressure and fear of being sent home. The elimination ruined the atmosphere and relationship between Jae-ho and Hyeog-jun. It was clear that they still loved each other, but they didn't get a chance.
This season feels rushed and tense instead of natural and honest. I don't know if I'll have the energy to finish it!
If you're planning a fifth season, I sincerely hope you reconsider the format. Many viewers are disappointed, and I'm afraid that continuing in this direction may cause even more fans to stop watching the show.

A Horror BL that's actually scary
This BL truly is amazing. I want to keep this spoiler light so I won't go to in-depth but I really want to commend the series for its balance of the romance and horror plot.I've seen an other review say that they felt like the sweet romance between Thup and Singha didn't work because it doesnt suit the overall tone of the show and I have to heavily disagree. I loved the more or less cookie cutter romance between the two because they were a nice refresher after some of the more unpleasant images of corpses and ghosts. So the romance part was really well executed expecially because there was with the small exception of King no unnecessary drama in their relationship with no real misunderstandings. King's villain arc in their relationship could've easily become overbearing and annoying but they've concluded that part of the story rather quickly.
The Horror Plot was really good tho with one or two minor flaws but still it managed to be actually scary and made sense (for the most part). The ghosts were scary, the real killer/culprit was good if kind of predictable and the music and cinematography added to the overall eerie atmosphere that the supernatural aspect of the show was going for. There was however one thing i found slightly stupid (if i didn't misunderstand that part of the show). How tf did the police not check the spot were the seven bodies were found the first time again? Like all of the victims for the second ritual were just chilling there for a few days and no-one thought hey let's maybe check the last crime scene!?!?!?!?! Yeah idk about that part but I'll forgive it since characters in horror stories typically aren't the brightest.
Definetely 10/10 tho would recommend 100%

Carrying the casket
Touching and meaningful. In the Love Track series, the main plot is love with the addition of certain original elements, but in this episode, the romantic relationship of the main character is actually an addition to the real story — saying goodbye to a dear person who has passed away. The whole story unfolds during the funeral ceremony, so this drama is also educational in showing how Korean funerals are held. I have actually been to one funeral in a Korean church, and I helped carry the casket from the church to the car, so this particular drama was very meaningful to me.The final images of this drama are also very touching, in a good way. We all have to say goodbye to someone we loved (or rather, not loved, but still love, because death cannot kill love), but we say that goodbye with respect for the life that was lived and with hope for the life that is still to come. There was no priest at this funeral, but there is hope, and I recommend watching this if you have the chance.

Starts out bad, but it does get better ...
I went into this series hoping for a good foxtail story. My all time favorite drama is Tale Of The Nine Tailed with Lee Dong Wook, so I was a little disappointed after the first two episodes. The character Eun Ho was not likable at all, putting a major damper on the story line.However, if you give the series a chance, it does improve as you get into the third and forth episodes. The story becomes a bit more in depth and the main protagonists finally begin to jell together. Lomon gives a good performance, adding a good chemistry with Hye Yoon ... but like I said, you need to give it time for this to happen. By episode 5 the series had me, and it was extremely enjoyable from that point on.
The only major negative I have, is what I hate in any of these dramas ... when you get to the final episode and you see "Three years later, Five years later, Nine years later" It never seems to click with me. So much time has passed, yet everyone looks the same, everyone has the same feel like it was an hour earlier instead of a decade later. That said, it was a good ending. Could it have been better? Yes, absolutely, but overall, it was enjoyable.

A Heartfelt Fantasy About Choices, Consequences, Love And True Self.
How should I put this, this series is one of its kind. On paper it looked like a cliche story but in delivery it stands complete on its own, This story need attention and time not quick jumps- and that's what makes it special.Lets start:
The story follows Eunho, a 900-year-old gumiho, who refuses to become human and stays true to her choice until the very end. At its heart, the series is about living life on your own terms, owning your choices, and facing the consequences — no regrets.
The plot is structurally-written. There are no loose ends, and unnecessary plots, every character gets a satisfying conclusion. Every scene connects seamlessly, so the audience isn’t left questioning “what just happened?” It’s neatly packed. The direction is good too, though there are a few sudden cuts here and there — noticeable, but not enough to ruin the experience.
Acting & Chemistry:
Kim Hye Yoon as Eunho is an absolute delight. Portraying a 900-year-old gumiho, she adopts an older, more structured tone and speech — and she nails it. Her comic timing has always been strong, and it lands perfectly here as well. Her sly, foxy attitude and bratty charm are a joy to watch, and that heartbreaking outburst in ep 11 and that beautiful, strong silent emotional delivery in ep 12, IYKYK are just Chef’s kiss 💯😍.
Lomon shines as Kang Siyeol, taking on a sensitive and delicate character for the first time. He delivers a nuanced and convincing performance, showing real promise as a young actor.🫶
Even though this isn’t your typical romance drama, the chemistry between the leads feels like a perfectly layered cake — consistently engaging without ever feeling forced. With each episode, you keep wanting more of “them.” The rest of the cast also delivers strong performances, and the OST complements the mood beautifully, even if it isn’t particularly groundbreaking.
Verdict:
If you enjoy reflective, emotional fantasy with light romance and comedy, I completely recommend this but if you’re chasing high-stakes, steamy romance, out of the box oscar level story telling look elsewhere.

But this is something I personally wanted to address.
I came across a Reddit comment claiming Eunho didn’t learn anything by the end because she chose to remain a gumiho — I strongly disagree.
Some people missed the core point of this series. In episode 12, Eunho recalls her unnie’s words and admits that living life her own way, owning her choices, is exactly how life should be. That’s the real narration — not just for her, but for all of us watching.
This drama is about making your own choices and facing the consequences. Every character — Eunho, Siyeol, Woo Seok, Lee Yoon, Jang Do Cheol, and Gumho — navigates their own decisions and outcomes.
Eunho chooses both kang Si yeol (her love) and her life as a gumiho at the end, and Kang Siyeol chooses Eunho too. Both of them know the consequences of their choices, yet they make them anyway — because they’re trying to stay true to themselves and to each other. They love themselves and each other in every form and shape, leaving the rest to life to play out as it will.
By the end, it’s clear what Eunho learned — and what we, as the audience, can take away too:
If you don’t stay true to your core identity, no amount of convincing yourself you’re happy will truly work. But if you choose to be true to yourself first, and then love others from that place, the relationships will bloom. True love starts from within.

My favourite show of 2025
What a wonderful drama. It was not perfect, but in a way it also was.This was an incredibly heartwarming show full of quirky, silly, loveable characters, it made me laugh so much, but it also made me sad and angry and tear up. It is overall not a particularly realistic story, but it deals with very real topics, and the way in which the more serious aspects were addressed and highlighted in this otherwise often hilarious drama, without undermining or ridiculing the issues it talked about, deeply moved me.
This is a beautiful story about found family, about people who might not always fit in, but can still find their place in this world, about equality and dreams and being happy, it is comforting and made me smile, but also serves as a reminder to keep fighting and demanding the same rights for everyone.
There are a few minor details that could have been written a little bit differently to make me like this show even more, and some topics are explored in more detail than others when I would have appreciated them getting the same attention, but overall I still loved this show and its characters so much and can wholeheartedly recommend it.
Just don't binge-watch it, this one needs to be savoured and I am glad I watched it weekly and not all at once.
This turned out to be my favourite show of 2025 and may even become one of my all-time favourites when I revisit it in the future. Which I surely will, this is definitely going to stay a comfort watch of mine.

The plot is dark and intense.
Trigger Season 1 2025I had heard this series name many times, so finally I watched it between 7 and 10 February 2026. Yes, it is a good series. The very first scene was enough to make me continue the whole show. You may have seen that scene on reels. A young man enters a college classroom, takes out a gun from his bag, and shoots the teacher and students.
This is an Action, Crime, Psychological Thriller series. It is based on a “what if” idea. What would happen if guns suddenly started getting delivered to every home in a country that was previously gun free?
Story: The plot is dark and intense. It is not just about action and gunfights. It shows how even an ordinary person can become violent when pushed into desperation.
Acting: Kim Nam-gil plays a calm police officer very well. Kim Young-kwang’s mysterious character feels unhinged and chilling.
My Opinion: If you liked tense shows like My Name or Squid Game, then this is a must watch. The pacing feels slow in some parts, but the social message is deep. I give it 8 out of 10.

Love in the Clouds: Where Hidden Identities Lead to Genuine Hearts
Drama Love in the Clouds presents a captivating story about Ming Xian, a goddess of war brilliantly portrayed by Lu Yuxiao. To win the Tournament of the Six Realms of Hexu, she disguised herself as a man for seven years, only for fate to lead her to defeat at the hands of Ji Bozai, played by Hou Minghao, a former prisoner of the Jixing Abyss. This defeat becomes a crucial turning point as Ming Xian is forced to adopt a new identity a dancer named Ming Yi to get close to Ji Bozai and obtain the antidote for a lethal poison threatening her life.The main strength of this drama lies in the extraordinary chemistry between Hou Minghao and Lu Yuxiao, who successfully bring a natural and subtle "cat and mouse" dynamic to life. Their relationship, which initially began with a mission to find an antidote and a fake marriage to protect her identity, gradually transforms into genuine love after facing various life and death obstacles together.
Technically, the drama is a feast for the eyes with its elegant cinematography and dreamy visuals. The use of CGI to build the xianxia world appears seamless and not over the top, creating a stunning yet grounded aesthetic. The detailed, luxurious, and aesthetic costumes, combined with an emotional soundtrack, successfully heighten the atmosphere in every romantic scene and battle. The combination of these elements ensures high and consistent production quality throughout the story.
Although it tackles heavy themes of revenge and power struggles, the narrative of Love in the Clouds remains light and entertaining thanks to well placed humorous scenes. While the final episodes feel slightly rushed toward the resolution, the solid acting performances from the cast compensate for this flaw. With a satisfying happy ending, this drama is a must-watch for fans of the costume genre even for those who previously found xianxia too magical or unrealistic as it perfectly balances action and emotion.

It's shockingly a good drama this 2026!
Okay—hear me out. Watch this drama.I honestly wondered why it isn’t as popular as the other drama currently airing, because, in my opinion, this one is actually a little better.
At first, I didn’t plan to watch it. I still couldn’t move on from When Destiny Brings the Demon, the previous drama of Arthur Chen, and I also wasn’t a fan of the female lead.
But to my surprise, after just one episode, I ended up staying awake until dawn binge-watching all the available episodes. It’s that good—you can’t help but crave the next one.
The acting, the plot, the chemistry, the roles they portray, the plot twists, the setting, the mood—everything simply works. The acting feels natural, the chemistry is convincing, and the plot twists are timed just right so you end up smiling before an episode ends (or cry when you have to 😅).
This is easily one of the best feel-good dramas out there. I especially love how the cast brings the story to life.

Me cuesta darles una mala nota porque me encantó la química de los protagonistas. Creo que el final es algo único en su decisión por ser agridulce y una conclusión al arco de personaje de Eunho. Si bien estarán juntos, llegará un día en el que ella tendrá que seguir sin Siyeol.Ahora, lo negativo lo resumo en: una trama donde todo pasa, pero la mayoria no importa. Hay personajes ignorados y subtramas desechadas. Me hubiera encantado que la historia no diera tantas vueltas sobre si misma.

Charming Fantasy Rom-Com with Fun Moments but Uneven Execution
okay so I love both of them. lovely runner and all of us are dead leads.My rating:
Story: 6/10 – Fun concept with a modern gumiho twist, but uneven pacing and a rushed ending.
Acting: 6.5/10 – Some charm from the leads, but chemistry and emotional depth are inconsistent.
Music: 7/10 – Pleasant OST that fits the fantasy-romance vibe.
Rewatch value: 5.5/10 – Cute moments exist, but plot holes and uneven storytelling make it less rewatchable.
Overall: 7.5/10 – Entertaining for casual fantasy-rom-com fans, but not standout or highly memorable.
