As a drama it is not something I would usually think to watch and only clicked on it as it had quite a few actors in it I like. But after just the one episode I was extreamely glad that I did, the powerful and full on story draws you in from the start and the great casting makes it so that there is a character in there for everyone. The small storylines that run in every episode along side the main plot keeps things interesting and an unexpected ending that leaves you satisfied long after it is over.

From the first few minutes, I could already tell this movie was going to be promising..

Story- An excellent plot which will always keep you on your feet. There's always something happening and it will constantly keep you guessing. I really loved the main characters relation with her children. She went to great lengths to try and protect her family.

Acting- The actors were very well picked! From the main characters to the minor ones, I must say- they really had a BIG impact. The little girl who didn't have the ability to speak, she portrayed her character really well with her little but clever brain and actions.

Music- The music fit every scene and made me feel like I was actually there, lurking around and trying to hide from the psycho! At the very intense moments, the music gradually changed to a very strong track. It suited and flowed with the storyline. AND OF COURSE- the ending credits song! It reflects and goes with the entire movie. I really liked how the film ended with this amazing instrumental. The guitar made me feel this sadness..

Rewatch Value- I think I'd watch this again since it's really amazing. Normally I don't rewatch films but for this one, I'll make an exception. :)

Overall this movie was absolutely breath taking! I just happened to stumble across this one but I'm really glad I did. This is one of the few movies which will stay on my mind long after I've watched it! I really love how it ended, especially the last sentence from the heroine.
I highly recommend this to those who are looking for a movie that will keep your eyes glued to the screen, people who love thriller and suspense. Even if you aren't, I'd say give it a go! I'm sure 8/10 people would DEFINITELY like it.
It made a great impression on me and I give it a.. dak dak dak.. :) 10/10!

Heartwarming story - how a lie became truth. how a person learns to value things which are inportant in life, how a person changes and does the right things at the end, even though the start wasn't good.
I've seen better movies, but this was fine. A comedy - not too sad, not childishly funny. At the end it touches your heart even thought at the beginning it seems like it won't.

This was one of the first dramas I watched way back. The description only gives a starting point to how the drama plays out; as you watch, lots of twists and turns are spread out over the course of the drama.

In some ways this drama has a theme of trying to get over or break away from the past, which I thought was a big impact.

I personally thought the actors portrayed the characters well. Some characters I found dislikeable, but not enough for it to ruin the show for me.

If you like darker themed stories, this could be up your alley.

1-The reason I watched this : I remember watching this on TV with some friends a long time ago.

2-Storyline/Plot : It was surprisingly good since it can be considred as an old drama; the struggle of an old fat girl to fulfil her dreams and fix her love life at the same time. Events went in a smooth way that's why slow moments were almost absent.

3-Acting/Cast : I believe this was Hyun Bin's debut; he was really good in her. Sam Soon was good too but she can became a little annoying at some points.
Overall, the acting was really good plus supporting roles were good enough to add some appealing developments to the general story.

4-The music : I don't actually remember it but I believe that it wasn't that bad.

5-Rewatch value : I can't do so but I can't deny that some people would love to repeat the whole drama again including my friends who watched it with me.

6-The ending : It was a good final although I expected more.

7-Overall : As one of my first dramas this was quite good because it was one of the steps that started my passion for Asian dramas.

1-The reason I watched this : I accidently found it on some Korean channel: This is the drama that I fell for it from the first sight.
I downloaded the rest of the drama and finished in two days dramathon.

2-Storyline/Plot : You have two options while watching this drama's story: Either you're hooked up from first sight or you're uninterested from the first episode (If you're the second choice then it's better that you drop it because you will never love it later on).
There's supernatural events, romance, comedy and even some action moments. Like I said earlier it can be addictive or unintresting.

3-Acting/Cast : I liked this drama's cast, Shin Min Ah was perfect for the Gomiho role, Lee Seung Ki was partly satisfying while No Min Woo was my special eye candy for this drama since I totally fell in love with his character here.
Supporting roles were appealing too but they didn't take too much space in the story's development.

4-The music : Nicely done, it was perfect match for scenes.

5-Rewatch value : If you liked it that much then it's absolutely rewatchable.

6-The ending : It was cool but expected.

7-Overall : This drama contains a unique storyline and a great acting department so it's good for a romantic comedy but it wouldn't fit every rom-com lover's taste.

1-The reason I watched this : I just read the synopsis then I unconsciously started to watch and finished it in three days dramathon

2-Storyline/Plot : Totally loved the story, it was well done plus the events passed by so smoothly without any blanks or slow moments.
The start was really awesome,I really enjoyed the hilarious moments at the beginning. The rest was good too although I still prefer the beginning of the drama.

3-Acting/Cast : Lee Da Hae has done her role in a perfect way; I haven't noticed any mistakes in her performance although her character fell into the usual dumb lead Korean female in some point but I really liked the way she lied; it was very believable and super hilarious.
Lee Dong Wook and Lee Jun Ki were my special eye candy in this drama, I am really sorry for saying this but when I see them on screen all I was thinking about were shallow feelings for those two actors looks so I really can't talk about their acting skills but I can say that they had usual characters as a lead male and a second lead male.
Other cast weren't that bad but they weren't that great either. However, I will say this: Park Si Yeon was really annoying as a character and as an actress.

4-Music : It was the same song played all along the drama but it was good enough to hear over and over again.

5-Rewatch value : I don't think that it could be fully rewatched but there's some moments that deserves repeating them.

6-The ending : A nice cute ending not that special but I totally loved the two guests who showed up in the last episode.

7-Overall : This is the type of drama that's highly recommended to romantic comedies lovers.

1-The reason I watched this : Basically because it's an idol film since I like to watch that genre every once in awhile.

2-Storyline/Plot : As the title say; this is an idol film about kpop groups and the struggle they have to go through in order to move from scratch to the top.
There were many good hard working moments and a very boring romance.
Overall, it wasn't that interesting or that boring.

3-Acting/Cast : Okay let me say this: I really dislike Park Ye Jin no matter what type of character she leads; here she was good as an actress but the character was annoyingly stiff.
On the other hand, I liked Ji Hyun Woo as an actor but he wasn't that special as a character.
Other actors and characters were really good especially the boys from the group.

4-Music : The strength point of this film was the music; "Summer Dream" was a great song that I still remember till now.

5-Rewatch value : It could've be rewatchable for some people who deeply fell for it.

6-The ending : It wasn't a bad ending but it was really predictable and cliche.

7-Overall : This film had too much potential to make it perfect as an idol story but the writers took the wrong turn while delivering it; it wasn't bad but I still feel like there's something missing.

P.S : If you're idol dramas/films lover than you may actually love this.

Story - 10: Plots like this always interest me for some reason, so I was anxious to watch this when I saw it on Netflix. I'm very happy I did. I loved the way the story played out (aside from the ending, which was kind of blah to me). There were a lot of surprising (albeit sometimes, but not always, predictable) twists in there that I liked a lot.

Acting/Cast - 10: I could give this a 10 alone simply because of the little girl. She was absolutely fantastic in her role. Her acting far surpassed even some adult actors for me.

Music - 6: Aside from 'Moonlight Sonata' (a song that plays a somewhat big part in the film), I don't remember any of the music from this film at all.

Rewatch Value - 8: Was a good movie, so I wouldn't be against watching it again.

Overall - 9: Like I said earlier, the ending was just kind of blah, so I docked it a point.

'The Return of Iljimae' has many strong points, and in many ways is more complete story-wise than the other drama 'Iljimae', but I wasn't entirely happy with it.

Having watched 'Iljimae',I must say, there is very little in common between these two dramas, other than the 'Robin Hood' nature of Iljimae and his rather misfortunate connection to his parents.

The return of Iljimae has a broader framework,is more well written, and explores the identity of Iljimae as a hero of the times, working against injustice than for any personal quest. I felt that the story and the characters were more complete in this.

The action sequences are good. There must have been plenty of rope and pulleys used in the making, as Iljimae and numerous others are always flying and leaping about in these scenes.
The episodes are all interesting, and keep you moving forward without boredom.

Regarding the cast: I had wanted to watch this initially for Jung Il Woo, and he didn't disappoint. He is good as Iljimae, truly the 'pretty girl-like-boy' as often referred to in the drama (I loved his ponytail hair).
The supporting cast is good, with many strong performances except that some secondary characters were made annoying by over-acting.

Despite all this, I didn't feel really satisfied with this drama. There wasn't so much plain fun or happy-energy associated with it.

Iljimae's character is mostly solemn/sad/serious/angry. Very rarely do we get to see his smile, let alone hear a laugh. There are so many things happening, we can near feel him carrying the burden of the world on his shoulders.
The romantic relationship is developed on realistic terms, along the sidelines of the plot.
The ending too, although happy, has a solemn, contemplative feel to it.

To sum up, although lacking in story and character development, character Iljimae in the drama 'Iljimae' evoked more happiness than the one we find in 'The Return of Iljimae'.

First of all, Hyun Bin's awesome. I love most of the dramas/movies he's been in so I recommend checking him out. This drama is another awesome drama he's been in. Song Hye Kyo and him together are adorable. It's a very realistic storyline. Some craziness does happen in it but none of those unrealistic type of things that happen in other dramas. You can actually imagine this happening to real people. So, I thought the storyline was awesome and so was the cast. I've rewatched at least part of this drama several times so I think it's very rewatchable. I hope people give this drama a try and really enjoy it as much as I did.

So, I've never given a review before but I love this drama. I've rewatched it many times. Sometimes, I'll just skip to the parts I really like but I never mind watching the whole thing again from beginning to end. For the story, it's a bit unrealistic in a way but very touching and they put it in a way that it's believable so that's why I put 8. The acting is excellent. EunHye is not as experienced as GongYoo but she was amazing and they seemed to connect with each other very well. The music seemed to match the style of the drama very well but some of the songs I didn't like as much when I listened to it on its own, so I gave it a 7 - wasn't sure about that one. This is a really cute drama. It has its sad moments, of course, but it can make you feel really connected to the characters. All of the characters can sometimes seem like a huge family, instead of just a group of friends.

1-The reason I watched this : I've already seen the anime therefore, I wanted to see the the live-action adaptation and so I end up watching this film.

2-Storyline/Plot : Almost the same from the anime though it was a bit rushed and lacked many important events which made it feel wrong sometimes. However, script writers managed to take the right path after a lot of struggle.
I watched the anime so the story was predictable to me. As for those who haven't seen the anime, this storyline may seem really absurd to watch.

3-Acting/Cast : Teppei was one of the main reasons I watched this since he's cute and *insert shallow feelings*.
Beside that, I don't believe that the acting department wasn't that amazing or appealing; it was acceptable overall.

4-Music : It was kind of a normal music not too special not too lame.

5-Rewatch value : Well, people who fell for it hardly would defenitely rewatch, others would think of it as a waste of time.

6-The ending : It was satisfying. it wasn't the type of ending that would make you jump of your seat so don't expect too much.

7-Overall : It wasn't that bad but it wasn't that great either. It could've been much better yet it wasn't a disappointing adaptation.

P.S : For those who watched the anime and liked it you may want to watch this without high expectations or prejudices; it will much better that way.

Story: 9/10 have some flaws in the storyline but doesn't really matter if you're forgiving
Cast: 10/10 I believe they have acted out their characters well
Music: 10/10 the songs played matched the scenes, the lyrics describes perfectly what they are feeling at that moment (I fell in love with the songs so I googled them along with the translations)

Will I watch it again? Yes. It wasn't perfect but the actors were able to move me especially with the bitter-sweet courtship thing.

If you are one of those people who could easily empathize with the feelings of the characters when reading a book or watching a movie then you will be able to appreciate this show. For me this is my first time to watch the 2 lead role actor and actress and I say that they have acted the part well especially the guy. He is not your typical prince charming type but he given his personality, he would still let his pride be wounded over and over again for the woman he loves. And I also liked how the girl has slowly fallen for this arrogant prince and how hard it is for them to meet halfway due to the huge gap between their social statuses. But the scenes that really touched me the most is the guy's dedication towards the girl who is ready to give up everything of his. I think that's really romantic. Who cares about his crappy personality, I would want to be loved like that! The beginning was a bit slow but that should be the progress of the courtship between them so it's understandable. The ending was fair, not exactly a happily ever after since they haven't get the full approval of everyone. And what I liked about it is that after the sad scenes they would lighten it up right away. They won't drag the sad parts for a long time like some other dramas.

I like'd this drama for so many reasons *

it is funny, witty, emotional, romantic and addicting, i wasn't bored at all it kept me on the edge of my seat(usually a drama gets kind of boring and starts to lags)but this drama had non of that* i couldn't watch any of the new dramas but this one was just AMAZING.

from the start the drama had potential the cast looked stable although i didn't know any of the actors except for Hong Soo Hyun, it won me over its better than the most of the dramas out now which have respectable and highly noted actors. this drama deserves more than a 10 the story didn't confuse me the actors did a great job, the story background for the actors made sense and at the end all my questions were answered. The story was vary well written and the characters were interesting and fit the story well.

In conclusion the story had a lot of components for example friendship, love, business, success of a poor man, an arrogant guy falling for a sweet girl, it was hilarious, it was a great melodrama.
all in all it had all the components i search for when searching for a drama.

If you watch this you wont regret it * i usually don't take the time to write a review about a drama that isn't AMAZING* this is the BEST drama of 2012*
