Eternal Yesterday (2022) is a spectacular, raw, and deeply devastating Japanese BL drama that stands tall as an absolute masterpiece of the tragic-romance genre. It is a profoundly emotional journey about grief, letting go, and a love that defies the boundaries of death.Story (10/10):The narrative is exceptionally well-written, unique, and hauntingly beautiful. Following two high schoolers whose lives are upended when one gets hit by a truck but miraculously remains conscious as a "living corpse," the plot avoids all fluffy clichés. Drama with Disturbing Tones
I thought I would really like this drama considering I liked My Stubborn and TharnType. However, this one was too problematic for meLet’s start with the first couple, Rain & Payu. It seems like they went with the innocent = naive & dumb trope for Rain, but they took it was too far. I couldn’t stand his character. A rock would have more brains than he had. Then there’s Payu. His character was more tolerable, and the man playing him is so handsome (Boss). That being said, the power dynamic he established was disturbing. He constantly punished Rain if he didn’t act exactly the way he wanted him too. Said he had to “teach him manners.” There’s one part where he spanks Rain and then tosses him onto the ground. He constantly makes Rain say things like “Rain is begging Payu to stop”. Why are you acting like his dad Payu? Rain is an adult. It gave me the ick.
The second couple: Sky & PraPai. They were easier for me to watch than the first couple. I like how patient and supportive PraPai could be of Sky. Sky also set boundaries. They felt much more equal to me. Yet, there was still some disturbing topics around them. PraPai stalked Sky and tricked people into giving him access to his phone number and dorm. Also, let’s not forget they met because PraPai told him the only way he was allowed to leave the race was to go to bed with him. Basically Sky put it down so well that PraPai became obsessed.
The NC scenes were pretty decent. And I think the actors tried with what they had. But this script was just not for me.

feel good drama
this was a solid show. great story. super cute actors. acting was good. it was so funny. especially the best friend. i was thinking he might have been a bit old for hia partner but he looked older than he was. i loved the female coworker. no unnecessary jealousy or violence. just gentleness and understanding. after watching tharntype this was a rehab show for me. i loved the chemistry between them. the ost was not good. it was nerve grating. that’s why I gave it a 9.5. in the future when I have a bad day, I will just rewatch this show. it is really cute¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
Brilliant Cooking, Math and A Heartbreaking Bromance!
Fermat's Cuisine (2023) is a spectacular, high-energy, and uniquely gripping Japanese drama that masterfully blends the high-pressure world of culinary arts with mathematical genius. It stands out as a true masterpiece driven entirely by exceptional character growth and elite dynamics.Story (10/10):The narrative is incredibly refreshing, following a failed math prodigy who discovers a new path when he crosses paths with a mysterious, legendary young chef. What makes this plot so addictive is the intense, psychological pacing. Cooking is treated with the high stakes of an action thriller. The progression of the story is flawless, keeping you on the edge of your seat, though it takes a deeply emotional and heartbreaking turn near the end. Watching their relationship face immense pain and darkness will completely shatter your heart.Acting & Cast (10/10):Takahashi Fumiya and Shison Jun delivered career-defining performances with burning hot on-screen chemistry. Their brotherhood is the absolute beating heart of the series. Takahashi Fumiya perfectly captures Gaku’s innocent genius and rapid evolution, while Shison Jun is pure perfection as the charismatic, complex, and fiercely protective Chef Kai. The mutual fascination, the intense glances, and the raw emotional pain they portray during the show's most devastating, heartbreaking moments create an unforgettable dynamic.Overall:Fermat's Cuisine is a mandatory 10/10 watch for every single enthusiast of deep emotional bonds, smart mastermind characters, and high-energy plots. With its outstanding cast, gorgeous food cinematography, and top-tier but heartbreaking brotherhood, it offers massive rewatch value. Highly recommended!¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

What makes this story so wonderful is the complete lack of toxic misunderstandings, heavy angst, or annoying love triangles. It relies entirely on pure communication, cute teenage overthinking, and healthy emotional growth. Was I missing a part?
During a live a fan asked if there was abuse in the drama and the FL said no and the ML looked appalled. Yes, there was a lot of toxicity. Her dad seemed like a genuinely kind person and her bio mom was a terrible person. Only taking one child? sheesh. The two leads had good chemistry but I feel like they kept leading up to a scene... that never happened. I liked the aunt and FLs relationship the best of all the dynamics on the show. Still sad about the dad.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
A Beautiful, Poetic And Hypnotic Cinematic Masterpiece!
Drowning Love (2016) is a phenomenal, highly artistic, and intensely raw Japanese coming-of-age film that completely captivates your senses. It stands out as a unique visual poem driven by deep symbolism, atmospheric moods, and a destructive adolescent passion.Story (9.5/10):The narrative is abstract, complex, and heavily psychological. Following a successful teen model who moves to a quiet coastal town and falls into an intense, obsessive relationship with a wealthy, wild local boy, the plot avoids all typical romance clichés. Instead of a straightforward storyline, it relies on metaphors of gods, nature, and the trauma of losing innocence. While the confusing editing and artistic ambiguity can leave you scratching your head, the sheer emotional weight of their toxic yet profound bond keeps you completely hooked.Acting & Cast (10/10):Masaki Suda and Nana Komatsu delivered absolute masterclass, iconic performances with an electric, almost dangerous on-screen chemistry. Nana Komatsu perfectly captures the mixture of vanity, vulnerability, and resilience. Masaki Suda is absolute perfection as the untamable, brooding, and fiercely proud Koh. Their intense glances, raw desperation, and silent understanding create a legendary dynamic that feels incredibly visceral and unforgettable.Overall:Drowning Love is a mandatory 10/10 watch for anyone who appreciates breathtaking, high-aesthetic cinematography, legendary main duos, and artistic cinema. Even if the plot leaves you confused, the beautiful and melancholic audio-visual experience will permanently stay in your heart. Highly recommended!¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
Wow...lol
So yea, that opening scene had my jaw on the floor. And then it just kept getting spicier. Like, WHAT?? Is this the new direction of NC scenes in BL shows because YES. I didn't cringe one time during those scenes and that's saying something. Between the use of music and muted voices, these were done SO well. The story was also pretty cute. You've got an older guy who clearly likes a younger guy but his history makes him scared to date someone younger (with valid reason). I like the ruse of teaching Jun how to do the deed. Sorn was DOWN BAD for him even though it took a while for him to admit it to himself.
I liked Tai and Champ as well. Such a sweet little side romance. The same for the girls as well. I'm not into WlW as much but I enjoyed their dynamics.
Overall, I liked it alot and can't wait to watch the specials.

Pure Adrenaline and Brutal Action: A Spectacular Revenge Movie!
Demon City (Oni Goroshi) is a phenomenal, fast-paced, and intensely gritty live-action adaptation that completely grips you with its dark, atmospheric crime underworld. It is a high-octane thriller that delivers a powerful, visual masterclass in revenge cinema.Story (10/10):The narrative is a relentless, action-packed journey centered around an ex-hitman who is left for dead and embarks on a bloody path of vengeance against the masked syndicates that ruined his life. What makes this plot so addictive is its raw, unpolished energy. It plunges you straight into a whirlwind of violence, danger, and dark city secrets without giving you a single moment to catch your breath. The pacing is intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat.Acting & Cast (10/10):Toma Ikuta delivered an absolute powerhouse performance. He completely dominates the screen as Shuhei Sakata—bringing a dangerous, brooding charisma and an incredibly sharp, attractive presence that makes him the ultimate badass lead. His fierce protectiveness over his past and his cold, calculating nature during the fight scenes are captivating to watch. The villains and supporting cast also brought a very intense, menacing energy to the film.Production & Action (10/10):The production value is spectacular. The martial arts sequences, gravity-defying stunts, and brutal sword-and-fist choreographies are sharp, visceral, and executed to perfection. The dark, atmospheric cinematography beautifully captures the chaotic spirit of the manga. Paired with a thrilling soundtrack, the entire audio-visual experience is high-energy and unforgettable.Overall:Demon City is a mandatory 10/10 watch for every single enthusiast of dark action, high-stakes revenge plots, and magnetic male leads. It leaves a powerful impact and offers immense rewatch value. Highly recommended!¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
