Give it a Try! One of the most non-toxic Lakorn you'll find!
Finally watched it. This show has been on my "Plan to watch" list for a long time.. I finally came around and got the chance to see it.I had watched 2 lakorns of FL before and always found her really charming and beautiful. She is pretty and has really stunning emotional eyes. In this show, she is even better. She handles the physicality of being a bodyguard with her petite body perfectly well. Her action sequences looks genuine enough. Really a praiseworthy performance by her.
Coming to ML, hmm where do I begin. I am pleasantly surprised. I thought I had seen all handsome asian actors that there were to see. Oh my, was I wrong. What a man. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him whenever he was on screen. I'll remember this performance and him for ages. XD Ken, you really did good.
Leads had such a good chemistry, their kisses were really very nice. Sometimes, I just found myself giggling looking at them. In short, very much enjoyed watching them together on the screen.
The supporting casts did well. There were your usual supporting characters you would expect in a Lakorn, with granny and FL's friends. Second leads were great as well.
Script could have been more refined, some actions and sequences lacked common sense, but lakorns being over the top is something you can always expect. Villains lacked any duality, they were just bad for the sake of being bad. But overall a good watch.
If you want to try watching a non-toxic Lakorn, go ahead and give this a try. You'll not be disappointed.
~Cheers!!

A great live-action and a must watch to any Higashimura Akiko-sensei fan
Honestly, this was a perfect version of the manga. If you are not a fan of Higashimura Akiko-sensei, I don't know why you would want to watch this movie, as it is just a biography of her time as a student.
The acting is great, as to be expected from the calibre of the main cast.
I wish this were a drama instead of a movie, just because I wanted a complete adaptation of the manga.
But if you've ever wondered how the creator of Princess Jellyfish, Tokyo Tarareba Musume, and many other works got started, this is for you!!

Good but does not stand out
The chemistry was great and the story was okay. My main issue is that this drama was marketed as a sociopath x villianess romcom. So i went in with expectations of seeing something similar to story of kunning palace maybe. What we got, however, were 2 misunderstood pookies whom everyone around is scheming against.Found this edit on insta that sums up the above perfectly:

THIS!!!!!
So good enough to get me out of my kdrama slump, but not great enough to rewatch.

The most dumb thing I have ever seen. The plot doesn’t make any sense and the characters are unrealistic and infuriating. I literally wasted my time waiting for something that makes sense to happen in these series but in reality it was just extremely bad writing trying to convince us that it’s some deep and smart plot.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

So Entertaining series for relaxation
I must say the sass of Nut is just top notch. And every time when "Kosol" has to do wired things (Which he don't want to) is so fun to watch specially the deity voice one scene, the boat scene where he is calling for ched and the prison one is just hilarious, sulky jealous Kosol is just so fun to watch¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
A good story but lacking in execution
This story is wonderful but the execution was very bad. It seems Director didn’t know where to go, he was a bit lost. This drama had so many potentials and Director should play with it. It is hard to bring authentic Siam to shine and especially with LGBTQ+ in that time which was more than forbidden, but there was a lot of opportunity to play with. Overall, the score 7.5/10 is enough and hose scores are kudos for actors, music and story.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

Surprised by CH3
I was fully prepared to be disappointed and to watch a series full of nonsense, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed Oon and Fun’s relationship and watching them grow as a young married couple. Seeing them build a life together and start a family was especially refreshing. It’s the first time I’ve seen this aspect explored so much in a GL series, so I definitely appreciate the effort. That being said, I don’t think this series will be for everyone. In my opinion, it’s more suited to viewers over 25 because of its mature themes and storytelling.
The chemistry between the actresses is absolutely there. They genuinely feel like a real married couple, which made their relationship very believable. I’m honestly surprised that they managed to keep me invested and entertained for eight episodes while telling such a mature story.
At times, the series almost feels like positive advocacy for the normalization and acceptance of same-sex couples, and I really liked that aspect of it.
Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing what these actresses do next. 😊

This Drama is more than what it seems on outside;
1.If you are a reader, I would HIGHLY recommend the webtoon that this show is adapted from with the same title .2. It does seem like a regular romcom until you find out it's not. It's simply not just about beauty standards but more about calling out the misogyny rooted around it. One of the well written romcoms out there.
This was my 4th or 5th kdrama years ago when i was new to kdramas. I didn't knew the leads and i didn't like both the leads at first as their acting comes off stiff to me. But I did complete it because the direction flow, the storyline, the CHARACTERISATION and cinematography were so good.
Then I found the webtoon from where the drama is adapted and the leads' acting made so much sense tbh. The webtoon is on another level like the flow is so better and i love how close the characters were to the reality of SK.
All these beauty standards were new to me and couldn't relate or care less about it but I love the characterisation especially the 2nd FL. No character is black and white here. The character arc is so good.
This is the only drama/series that I rewatch it sometimes maybe because it feels complete? and every character shines here + whenever i rewatch it i read the webtoon again idk why but it feels incomplete when i don't read it lol. Both the series and webtoon feels like it's the first time everytime i re-read/watch it again!
Wish to see the 2nd FL in more projects!

I love the actors but the show is... idk. Please recast them in a better show, I beg ?
1.) This series started off SOOO good. I caught myself smiling as if I was in the series when I watched the first episode, but it went downhill and I don't know how to feel. I kept hating Lu Feng, then he'd do something sweet and I'd like him then remember what all he did. I'm soo happy Lu Feng got help in the end, they deserve to have a happy ending but I just wish some things in this show didn't happen :/ I had to skip over a couple scenes cuz it was too uncomfortable to watch.2.) Fuck Xiao Chen's and Lu Feng's Parents tho I can truly never understand why parents decide to treat their kids like underwear with a wet skid mark just because they like the same gender, glad they died fuck them.
3.) I want to add it was very clear Lu Feng had issues from the 2nd ep, I was really hoping he'd get help from ep. 2 to the end and I'm seriously glad he did. Xiao Chen was also clearly blinded by love as if I was in his shoes I would've left the second he tried to guilt trip me in to having sex.
Anyway actors were amazing and I would love to see them in a show with a sweeter plot! Please and Thank Yewww

A Breath of Fresh Air from Start to Finish
"The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier" is an absolute masterpiece. Watching this show week by week, from the very first episode to the grand finale, was an incredibly rewarding journey and worth every single second of the wait. Here is why this series is such a massive standout:
Flawless Plot & Pacing: The storyline is beautifully crafted, managing to keep you hooked every week without ever losing its magic.
Impeccable Casting & Acting: The chemistry among the cast is undeniable. Every single actor brought their character to life with so much heart and authenticity.
Top-Tier Comedy: The humor hits perfectly every time, delivering genuine laughs without ever feeling forced.
In a sea of predictable television, this show is a true rarity. Watching it felt like breathing in the crisp morning breeze or sipping a perfectly warm, freshly brewed cup of coffee. It is a beautiful, comforting gem of a series that I cannot recommend highly enough. 🤎

Love Transcends Time
For a pairing that literally had barely anything to do in ' The Next Prince', I was blown away for how good they were in this! Genuinely I got emotional during parts of this because the acting was so solid, especially JJ's!I still really don't understand why so many disliked TNP and gave it such low ratings (probably way too high of expectations), but this show I loved just about on par! Maybe a little bit more, since the pacing didn't feel as slow as part of TNP did. Great acting, great sets and costumes, solid plot. Literally combine TNP with 'Reset' and its essentially this show in regards to the plot. I look forward to seeing Net & JJ in more shows to come! As well as Kim & Latte!

"People can change completely depending upon the circumstances"
Takahashi Issei playing a dual role was all the motivation I needed to watch Reborn. The drama had an interesting premise but failed to capitalize on it for most of the episodes. While Issei was fascinating to watch as two different characters, much of the story failed to engage me.Neo Kosei began working in relief organizations gaining a good reputation. He propelled that quickly into a corporation that capitalized on others' misfortunes. He comforted himself by saying that the sacrifice of a few gave greater gains to the many. (I kept hearing a quote regarding Ebenezer Scrooge going through my head during this drama. "I have seen your nobler aspirations fall off one by one, until the master passion, Gain, engrosses you," Belle from A Christmas Carol.) When Neo takes a tumble down a temple staircase, he awakens in the body of Nomoto Eito in 2012, who coincidentally looks just like Neo. Eito was supposed to have died in an accident and yet now Neo is walking around in his body and part of the Akari Shopping Street that Neo had destroyed in 2026. Eito/Neo finds himself competing against himself as he tries to save the Akari shopkeepers and gain his old life back. Despite Eito/Neo’s attempts to change the future, the alley and his own life seem on a collision course with the known future and terrible price to pay.
As I said, the premise is worthy of a drama. The problem was the implementation. Chiefly, the shopkeepers weren’t well written. There were three that were often in the shot but rarely called by name. Most came across as amiable but financially incompetent and worse kept electing Eito’s dad, the financially inept Eiji, as chairperson or president. He was maddeningly bad with money and relied on himself instead of Eito/Neo which repeatedly made the situations go from bad to worse. There was a reason the street was failing. Eito’s love interest was kept hanging for 14 years which stretched the bounds of credulity. To top it off, the ending was unsatisfying and left numerous questions unanswered. If not for Takahashi Issei I would have rated this lower but gave it a .5 bump for him. Watchable, but frustrating.
