This is one of those movies I would love to give an 11.
A very few movies have surprised me and surpased my expectations: this is one of them.
The story might not be something 100% good (notice that my 9 ate the story is actually a 9.5, I chouse to give it a 9 just for the fact that it's not 100% new) but the acting of the cast and the way the story envolves you... it's defenetly rewatch material.
I, personally, watched it 3 times already and I have the movie for... what... 4 months? Or is it 3?

I'm quite difficult with dramas and this one... wow. This is just my opinion, you should watch it to be sure, i'm apologetic of watching it, not only reading it coz a lot of people can have different opinions.

Anyway, for me, if you're watching this because of Mike He forget it. Just forget it. His character brings shame to him. He portrayed it well, as always, but it just doesn't fit him. You know his magic spell, that one he always had in his other dramas? This drama is only saved by his presence bt yet it doesn't even let you see that sparkle of him. His character is really low, at least for me.

The main actress too... she doesn't know how to act. She's too automatic, and doesn't fit with Mike He. I heard opinions saying that was because she was not used to good girls roles but still, it's awful.

The drama scenes doesn't seem real and the character feelings as well. They didn't really develop the story and thats a pity.

For me it was not a worthy drama. Ive been looking for more opinions, thought.

The first episode is quite okay but later it just gets worse and worse.
There's not emotions, I can't feel anything from the drama and i think the things we get the most from dramas and make us like it more are the feelings the drama gives us.

I'll quote here a review of blog.dramafever.com: "Calling for Love is not a bad drama. It’s even fairly charming in its own low-key way. But a cast of talented actors seems wasted in a drama that can best be described as inoffensive."

I don't really like to tell people bad comments that make them not watch it.. but after this drama i cant think otherwise.

this is actually my first drama so far i can remember. it made me fall in love with dramas.

there are always the one perfect role for an actor and for mike, it was definitely this role. rainie and kingone did a really great job too and since this drama i loved seeing them together in a drama.

the drama is lacking things (like some scenes are not flowing smoothly), i agree, but this drama is quite old already and for that time it was a very good drama.

the drama is tense, heartbreaking, heartskip-making and lovable. this drama is also funny too. and ioved how the drama didn't just tell the story between rainie and mike but also from their friends.
for me, a good romance drama must make me believe in their love. and this drama made it. i can still remember the tense and strong love between this couple while going through hardships.
the last episode made me tear up because it was ending and the story was great.

People seem to be prejudice towards this drama. The fact is, it didn't have the best rank, it's true, but it was the most sold DVD.
I think the drama is really cool and romantic. Not only romantic but also funny. I'm strict with dramas in general and a little thing can ruin it for me but this was the first time ever i rewatched a drama! And i dont regret it.
It's the type of drama you watch and want to watch it more and more... It's true that sometimes Yunho's expressions are similar, but his character and the drama itself teaches a lot of things!
Mixing Yunho and Go Ara was the best thing. I love everything about this drama, you should give it a try. I can't find many dramas + romantic than these ;)

This drama has the best actors and you're supposed to feel it's amazing huh? But it's not. It was a huge disappointment to me.

I started watching but in the middle i was like... what?... the story started being so boring, so repetitive that i just wanted to know the end and to end it soon. Nothing more special, they could do it a lot better. It was a delusion for me, really.

I only liked the actors.. As character i liked specially the Doctor (oh, is it difficult to know why? *-* but sometimes it'd get on my nerves) and Linda.

Linda was my fav of all the characters, i dont understand how can they do that to him :/ Not once but twice. I was shocked and after that moment i just couldn't like it as much as before. It's sth you just cant do to the viewers, i think.

The ending was unsatisfactory, comparing with all i suffered watching this. The beginning was s exciting, i really thought i'd love this and it would be pretty interesting but then...

I have to admit it, that made me so curious about twiter! And wanting to tweet like that with sm1... although i didnt think i'd have sm1 to talk with in that time ~

Ok! I understand the story does not give any super new twists: a stupid good-for-nothing but optimistic girl likes genius and overall outstanding but gloomy guy, and after annoying him continuosly she grows on him and ta-da!: a happy end- they married. BUT script made this story into a fascinating comedy and actors showed characters developing chemistry. After happyly watching this drama once I rewatched it and still enjoyed it a lot, some time passed and I plan to rewatch it again. SO if you are down or just want to enjoy a light comedy this drama is for you ^_^

I luved this drama. That said, I found myself getting slightly board with the series sometimes and turning to other more fast paced shows. But every time I came back to Iljimae it was like drinking a tall glass of ice water on a hot day. Simple, refreshing and so needed. This series has an amazing musical score, great cinematography and the entire cast really delivers solid performances. Iljimae and Wal Hee’s relationship was so different from any other drama romance I have seen b/c Return of Iljimae breaks away from conventional dramas and cliche themes and gives emotions to its audiences. Though I found Wal Hee a little annoying towards the end, I really loved her throughout most of the show. Return of Iljimae did not need to rely on flashy action scenes to stay afloat. It stood on a solid foundation of great acting, an interesting story and intricate character development. I watched Iljimae with Lee Junki first and loved it. I was actually really hesitant about watching MBC's version of Iljimae cause I actually heard that it's not as good as SBS's. Well, I'm so glad I gave it a chance cause I actually think it's better then Iljimae. The emotional development on each character was realistic. And the ending left me satisfied, which is a first in Korean drama for me. It was a beautiful drama, not just visually, but also with how the story progresses for each character. It really saddens me that the rest of Korea couldn't appreciate how great the writing of Return of Iljimae is compared to other shows. Fantastic series. It's my favorite Korean drama...

I was really excited about this drama because I thought it would have the same entertainment quality as Goong. Boy was I wrong. The plot was pretty typical, which I knew going into it, but I thought it may have some sort of twists and turns, which, as I went through the episodes, I could not seem to find. The acting was alright, a bid overdone, but the leads were too cute, so I stuck with it.
The filming, and stylistic elements, like the set design and costumes (which I LOVED) saved the drama. Otherwise, the acting, plot and overall execution wasn’t that great. It isn’t really clear why the two leads fall in love with each other, and it kind of just happens. The typical bad guy figure was just annoying, and her insistence on making things difficult for the leads didn’t really make sense, especially because she never would have gained anything from it.
It was just a strange drama....That’s all I can really say...

While I admit the story line is extremely cheesy in some places, it is just as sweet and touching in others. The relationship between the characters is incredibly well depicted. This is not an indepth story...if you want that go look at Vampire Prosecutor. But neither should you pass it by. Once you get into the story, it's very entertaining and interesting. The characters grow on you with each episode, and you are rooting for their family by the end. Some of the vampire parts are silly, but it was the best for its time. I would actually be as likely to re-watch this as I would be to re-watch Vampire Prosecutor (and in fact I have re-watched this show a couple times). It's short, and is a great just sit back and watch show.

This was a slightly weird drama, and only certain people would enjoy watching it. Some of my friends couldn't stand the basic plotline (one brother giving another his cornea-this is in the description so read that first), but once you get past that, the mystery element is excellent. Each story builds on the previous episode. For once, you aren't trying to figure out who the criminal is, you just want to stop him. It is a fascinating twist on the traditional mystery storyline, and throws in more than enough intrigue and excitement to keep you interested the whole way through. Plus, kudos to the authors for coming up with the unique idea:)

This movie dealt with a relationship based on sign language. That's what made this movie interesting. I liked the way the young man pursued the girl even though society disapproved of someone with a disability. There is a happy twist to the end which isn't revealed till the last. I really liked that it was an overall happy movie. Eddie Peng was great.

This was definitely my favorite romantic comedy, despite the fact that it was the first Taiwanese show I watched. I had already seen Playful Kiss (which was very well-done), but this version was even more amazingly written. Between this show and the sequel (They Kiss Again), the plotline was far more developed than it was with Playful Kiss. The main characters had more depth and emotion in their roles, and while the quality was not always as good, the story itself was far better. Because it is so long, the writers were able to add more though behind why certain characters act the way they do and to make the whole storyline a little less unbelievable. Plus the two leads always work excellently together. They make the romance seem beautiful and sweet all at the same time. I rewatch this show whenever I want to smile, laugh, or feel that glow inside that comes with knowing there are still sweet, naive, innocent, beautiful romantic stories in the world of film.

Amazing! I don't usually enjoy 2nd or 3rd seasons to shows, because they never quite meet up to the awesomeness of the first season. However, I was happily surprised by the extremely well-done Bloody Monday 2. My first recommendation: You definitely must watch Bloody Monday 1 before this one. While this isn't exactly a continuation of Bloody Monday 1, it is impossible to catch all the nuances without having seen BM1 first. Furthermore, I would recommend not waiting too long in between them. The storyline was naturally not quite as good as BM1, but it was still extremely well-written. The writers threw in enough plausible red herrings and diverging plotlines to keep you satisfactorily confused until the very end once again. The story successfully clears up any remaining issues from the first season, and is much better for having the same cast as the first show. The cast once again play their roles perfectly and believably. It's amazing how well they all work together. This is another definite MUST WATCH, and I almost wish there would be a season 3. Three cheers for one of the few shows where I've willingly seen the second season more than 1ce thru :-)

This is absolutely my all time favorite drama...I've already seen it and the sequel through four times, and introduced several friends to the show. The plotline is fabulously written, and surprisingly believable considering the genre. Some of the scenes are a little forced, but not nearly as many as usually appear in this type of show. The bad guys are not entirely stupid and incapable of winning, which makes the struggle between the heroes and the villains that much more attention-grabbing. The characters fit their parts perfectly, and each one keeps the story moving along until the end. The philosophy that was behind this show is probably what caught my attention the most. It actually raised several concepts that my friends and I spent a great deal of time discussing. It was both entertaining and interesting. Furthermore, this is one of the first mysteries I've seen in ages where I actually didn't know who the bad guys were or what was going to happen until the very end. Bloody Monday is suspenseful, fast-paced, well-thought-out, and wonderfully acted from beginning to end. I watched them all in 2 days and instantly got the second season (which is just as good as the first). Definitely a must watch!

I am in love with Down with Love. I have been since the beginning of 2010. I have seen oh, so many Asian rom-coms before, but there is something about this drama that makes my all warm and fuzzy inside. For starters, I LOVE JERRY YAN! OH MY GOD! I had seen two of his dramas before this one and was at first a little worried about how he was going to interact with Ella. However, I just want to say after this drama, "Welcome to the world of romantic comedy, Mr. Yan!" Where on earth were all of those hilarious/cute/WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE?! expressions hiding? Xiang Yu-Ping starts off as your average Asian drama hero (cold exterior, blah blah blah-) but then become this ridiculously devoted, ADORABLE man. All I can say is, I love you Jerry Yan. Please do more of these dramas in the future.
Don't think that I forgot the rest of the cast: Ella was amazing (as always) and the rest of the cast also does a great job (though besides Yang Duo, the drama does not really develop the supporting characters very much). Character wise, I found male and the female second leads to be so much more annoying than usual. This drama was one of those rare times where I absolutely hated the second lead, Ke Zhong. It makes sense that I hated the female second lead (as we should) but I seriously could have thrown a building at KZ during some parts. I mean, this could be considered a good thing because it allows you to ship for YP without any regrets.
As for the story, it does its job. While there are a few unnecessary detours from the overall plot, they allow us to see the two leads in several different settings. I will admit though, by the middle of this drama I was frustrated in that our couple wasn't together yet, but I got over it since the story more or less held my attention.
The soundtrack is sung by S.H.E (Ella's girl group) and Jerry. Need I elaborate? :D
