I love you, Rang Rang! Can you hug me?

I LOVE this kind of drama. It's about our lives, people's youth, and their growth into adulthood. It's full of romantic feelings, friendship, and beautiful moments. Sometimes, there are little hardships that they endure. I felt so envious watching them. Now, I'm experiencing a bit of a romantic crisis. I want to hug someone like Rang Rang, and I want someone who will love me like Rang Rang or Gu Ran. I want it so much.

To be honest, I enjoyed Jiang Jia and Gu Ran a little bit more than the main couple. But it was beautiful to watch their journey. I smiled with them and cried because of happiness. It was so romantic, cute, and funny. I think it might be the best youthful, romantic drama about life and relationships that I've seen. Although it was too perfect to be real, I felt happy watching it. Thank you for making my day better. I hope there will be more dramas like this in the future.

An enjoyable 3 hour romance.

Having watched a string of mini series lately, I would say this is definitely good for one watch, though I likely won't re-watch. My rating scale for mini series is more lenient, and this was quite enjoyable with no aggravations, so it merits a high score.
It held my attention, was fairly well written for a mini series, and the dynamic between the characters was fun. I was mentally invested though nothing hit me hard emotionally, so it was an easy watch.

It did require some suspension of disbelief, but I did not feel annoyed at any point while watching. The plot isn't the most intricate but that's not the focus anyway, the focus is on the relationships between characters.

Pros:
- Chemistry between the leads was great and intimate moments/scenes delivered. Desire and dominance is shown by both leads. The love scene in Ep 15 is fairly risqué for a Cdrama (and there's an extra snippet of that scene in the montage of memories in Ep 24).
- FL remained a strong-willed character throughout with great martial arts skills.
- ML is smart, also good at martial arts, falls for FL for who she is, and becomes devoted.
- Nobody was totally evil.
- Nobody acted aggravatingly stupid.
- No delusional third wheels.
- The plot/angst didn't feel overly contrived (even when some suspension of disbelief was needed).

The fighting, music, and costumes were good (the prince's costumes were especially gorgeous).

GENERAL SPOILER ON THE ENDING:

... ... ...

Ep 24: For a rock solid HE, stop at 6:08 in (as they look up at the moon).

Otherwise, the last short scene leaves things open, though a HE can be predicted because the leads love each other. It is in character and presented light-heartedly, just feels rather abrupt for a stopping point.

A heart-warming yet heart-wrenching series

I waited for this one to end airing so that I could make myself a marathon and it was so good!

Let me tell you, I really love my fluffy romances and looking at the poster I never thought how many tears I'd shed because of the story. I had some moments where I could relate from my personal life too, even conversations that I've had, and that hit home too hard at times тт.тт

ML and FL had a good chemistry and personally I think they re-enacted the characters exactly how they were supposed to be. Side characters were also interesting and fun to watch! From acting stand point, I think it is very decent. I first watched Byeong Woo Seok in Record or Youth and I'm glad to see how much he improved ~

Тime travel is not a new concept, however they made it so interesting here and the story felt quite refreshing as well. The series were shot so well and aesthetic, such an eye-pleaser! The music too, one of the best OSTs of the year for sure ~

I definitely recommend to people searching for youth, first love, wanting to fix regrets from the past, and a little suspence but also happy ending for their next watch.

This was FANTASTIC! We need more of this!

This was absolutely brilliant! I’m surprised it was never on my radar. And the message behind it is so good too. What a find this was….Loved every single minute. And the cast did a fantastic job! The actor who played Black & White did a terrific job. I definitely need to check out his other stuff.

I’m contemplating watching the other drama he did with the actor who played Sean, but the reviews are putting me off, cause I can’t stand storyline with toxic beginnings. But they had such a fantastic chemistry that I’m willing to watch it just for them. Hope they get to do more projects.

Also the soundtrack to this was so good. Hats off to whoever was in charge of that, cause I was Shazamming pretty much every new song that came on.

My very first cdrama

This is my first cdrama that i watched, my mon recommended it to me. I used to have this stereotype about cdrama that the acting and transition from one scene to another would be bad, but this drama really broke the stereotype. The acting is good, the cinematography was indeed beautiful and i really ove their wardrobes, i can see that this is a high quality drama. It may be draggy at some episodes but i didn't really mind that, i love the slowburn love that 2 lead characters have.

Overall i enjoyed this drama, EVEN GOT ME CRY A RIVER AT THE END, and leave me with some empty fealing Read More

Honestly, I'm not into Japanese movies, especially the romance ones, but surprisingly, the first 20 minutes can get me hooked. Male and female lead cast members are doing a great job, superb acting! The story isn't something new, but I believe many people can feel related, and the pace is good—not too fast or slow. You can see the character development, although it's not that deep. One thing that is  disappointing for me is they didn't put any ost for the final sad scene ???!! like seriously....

a mature story perfectly executed

I think it’s one of the best Jbls i’ve watched. Ik the trope seems cliché but they managed to make something actually original. It was so satisfying to see the bottom put boundaries to protect his own feelings, cause if u know it’s not something common in the BL world.
About the cinematography, it was so good, specially when you notice the parallels between the young and the current couple. The music is really good, i loved the opening, never skipped it.
overall, a more mature bl masterpiece

a good story with a poor execution

I enjoyed the first episodes but while the time passed by it just stressed me out. The story is really good and has a lot of potential but it went down with the miscommunication trope, like ig it was ok at first but it lasted longer than i would’ve liked, despite this as a highlight i liked that it included more mature content/topics.
I don’t remember much about the music but the opening was good and about the cinematography it was really pretty. I really liked the acting but i think it has room of improvement.
Overall, it’s a good bl but not excellent.

My top 4 at episode 3

Here is my top 4 (not in any order). What is yours?

1. Jo Min Jae
2. Han Gyul
3. Yoon Jae Yong
4. Han Yu Seop

I do have a top 18 this far, but this is my top 4 for right now. Their names are not in any particular order! I want to see how I differ from other opinions and also see if my opinion will change further into the series! Some of the top contenders aren't even in my top 18 so I do know there are definitely different opinions. In episodes 1 and 2 there were favorites voted that I didn't agree with, at all.

Woo to the young to the no Woo Hoo

Primarily a law drama, which is fine because of the title, it was expected. It delivered on the law aspect of the show, but that was mostly it. The cases were mostly nice, as I enjoy a good law drama, but the dream sequence with the whales were sooooo painful. I like a space out as much as the next person, but it was a bit much. The court room antics were mostly spot on which was nice and the cases were not extraordinary but they were nice. I especially like the realism in the cases because it will be that was in real life, I even loved the realism with the case of with the defense of another mentally disabled person. The fact that everything was taken away from her and no one, not even her mother could really understand why she was crying is heartbreaking.

Their was an attempt at romance in this from the onset, but it really wasn't anything to notice really. I loved Jung Myung , he was a boss among bosses, kind and supportive where ever it was needed. His hospital visit was the worst, I literally prayed for this fictional character after. It was amazing to have a side character that can connect with people so well.

Kwon Min was the biggest snake I have ever seen in a law firm, like he needed to get met in an alley and have things happen to him that cannot be proven. He was really nice to look at though, but still wanted to punch that beautiful face.

Xiao Yi Qing is clearly the green flag & star of this drama.

I went in expecting to like Xiao Yi Qing, as I read through a lot of comments & also the plot about the drama & I surprisingly liked him a lot more than I thought I would. Apart from 1-2 instances, he always treated his Ah Jing well, looked after her, supported her, and most of all believed in her. Since the first time they met each other, it was easy to the understanding between the two. A lot of time he reminded me of the lead from the princess agents, but Xiao Yi Qing is a much better person.

I liked Ah Jing half of the time, but I mostly liked her because of Yi Qing cared for her & I wanted him to have everything he wanted in this world. Had she not doubted him so many times, she would have actually been perfect for him. No matter how many times she questioned his intentions, he always let it go. But she did care for him in her own way, tried everything to save his life and he was a very ungrateful when she risked her life for the medicine, only for him to waste it. Yeah, he apologized but that was something so out of character. He was the one who first spoke the harsh words and failed to resolve the issue. Anyways, you can't always be perfect.

Xiao Tai was a teenager who wanted things that she didn't earn. She was coddled by everyone & they kept making excuses for her. They failed to make her understand that she was responsible for the consequences. She did not even repent for any of the mistakes and countless deaths that resulted due to her obsession with the Tower Master. Even at the end, all she got was a slap on the wrist. She used Qing Yu & He let her be used. Like his brother said, he was always ambitious but he was also so delusional. He forgot that Qing Ming was his sister, who fought alongside him. It was sad to see that only Ming was the one to survive amongst the three siblings, because that's how I saw them as siblings.

Where Qing Yu's destruction was led by Xiao Tai, Qing Lan's was led by Ming He. I was surprised that Qing Lan had any feelings for Ming He. I thought the disgust he would feel would be far greater than any feelings that arose out of familiarity. But I seem to have misjudged him as a person. He obviously cared about everyone & it included Ming He as well. I had wished that he would survive, he could have been a good Tower Master, better even than Yi Qing.

They shouldn't have killed Nan Chu though. What was even the point. He was one of the characters that should have and could have made it. Same could be said about a lot of couples that were introduced, only for them to die. Also, the tower master & Ah Jing were heartless when dealing with Lei family. They knew what would happen and took no measures to ensure that young & old people would make it out alive. I have seen better leaders than them, had it been Qing Lan in their place he would have made sure that they made it. But with what we have seen of Qing Lan, I don't think he had enough intelligence for that kind of masterplan.

artistic movie

this movie was quite weird, but fun. i liked how it portrayed the lives and struggles of the two, whilst the worms thing being confusing, i think this movie portrays an interesting perspective on love. it kinda feels like love is supposed to be a glitch in the code, but it seems to prevail despite the bug being fixed - thats how i see it. nana komatsu's acting is amazing as always, and kento hayashi is perfect similarly. acting is good, music is good, cinematography is good. the movie kinda feels like a daydream, which i like. i think this movie explores love in an unconventional, beyond surface level manner, and breathes fresh air upon the clusters of conventional romance films.

This is now one of my comfort BLs like The Eight Sense. To My Star and Where Your Eyes Linger. I have rewatched each episode of this series. I thought the acting and plot were great; and the chemistry between the actors was palpable. Shirasaki reminds me of Hira in My Beautiful Man. It was somewhat frustrating to go 9 episodes with the misunderstandings between them. I would like to have seen more of Shoma Nagumo (Yamase Kazuma). He played such a good role as a "brat."

An attempt of a light BL version of Fast and the Furious, with two almost identical story lines.

Although not a big fan of cars, bikes and races, I am a big fan of Fast and the Furious. So obvious I liked this one. It's far from perfect, but definitely worth watching and enjoyable. Perhaps I should also state here, that I am always after BL series, which leave behind a little bit some of the clichés of high-school/college romance and move on to more adult territories. In fact, I find it nice, if the genre does not solely revolve around the relationship(s). Having said so, however, this is still the case here, were we watch two couples forming, but at least the back bone stories are somehow different.

Things I liked:
The acting was decent, the emotional development of all people noteworthy, and dealing with a sensitive subject, namely abusive relationships in someone's past. In particular the last one was nicely handled, in that the focus was not on the abuse itself (just rare flashes and memories), but how the person learns to slowly go on. Some skin is shown, but (at least for my personal taste), not out of proportion. Sleeping with your loved one is finally part of a couple's life.

Things I did not like:
The series consists of practically two seasons. In episodes 1-7 we follow one couple and in the rest another. Although the couples coexist, in their out-of-focus episodes, they are reduced to even less than supportive roles. From what I understand these are indeed two different novels. I really think, that the development of both should progress in parallel, so that it would feel more natural.
Both couples are very similar: the older dominant, rich and clearly more masculine biker pursuing, and the younger more delicate freshman "politely" refusing until finally convinced - they live happily ever after - the end. This is actually quite a bore, although saved by the honest evolving of the characters. Also both stories have an underworld problem to solve (different for each one), which although per se is good, it has two flaws. The one is that the incidents are injected in the story severely out-of-the-blue and do not really contribute to the plot, except for the ensuing "thank you for saving me, I love you" line. The other is that the template of how they are used (even time-wise) are practically identical in both storylines, making the second one extremely predictable and thus boring (OK the first was also predictably, but at least not a repetition within the same series).

In summary: A pleasant BL series, with some twist and a nice character development. Nothing particularly new, but nothing boring either. It's a nice series to watch.

PR, Stars, and Awkward Plot Twists: A Rom-Com Rollercoaster!

Running an entertainment business is no easy feat, and managing artists adds another layer of complexity despite the outward glamour. This romantic comedy follows the head of the PR team and her relationship with the company's top star. The drama masterfully balances engaging and humorous moments with some frustrating and irritating segments.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴:

𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲: Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae deliver strong performances with excellent chemistry. Their early antagonistic interactions are particularly enjoyable.

𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀: The pairing of Park So Jin and Lee Jung Shin as the no-nonsense duo stands out among the two side couples.

𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗼𝘀: Numerous funny appearances from various famous actors and actresses. Both Kim Seul Gi and Song Ji Hyo were scene-stealers, their performances exceptionally humorous.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴:

𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘁: The Africa plot was extremely ignorant and equally offensive.

𝗨𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The drama starts light and fun, but the middle is marred by the sudden appearance of creepy anti-fans, abruptly shifting the mood. Towards the end, it gets sad and heavy with the "mom trying to reconnect" subplot.

𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗸-𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱: The male lead became way too weak. It would be nice if he could man up a little to face his demons.

Overall is a mixed bag that offers both delightful and frustrating moments. While the chemistry between the main couple and the humorous cameos are highlights, the uneven plot and problematic elements detract from the overall experience. Nonetheless, it’s worth a watch for fans of romantic comedies who enjoy a blend of humor and drama.
