So Stinkin Cute!

This was so stinkin cute! Moo was just a ball of energy and sunshine. He was so hilarious when he was in pursuit of Kang. And wow, could he ACT! So talented at 19. He made me cry several times.

I loved loved loved this series! Moo and Kang had some of the best chemistry I’ve ever seen. This was so cute, so entertaining, so emotional, and very satisfying. I loved the storyline about becoming idols. I really loved all the music. I don’t know if Keen actually sang in the series but whoever it was has a great voice.

I really don’t know how anyone could not love this. The actors were all great. Was Book not gorgeous? Such a good role for him to do something different. (And, Force!) Plus, I was pleasantly surprised to see Louis in something to be able to show off his musical side. He’s very talented.

Give it a chance if you want something cute and heartfelt. It’s one I will rewatch.

SO FUN TO WATCH SERIES THAT SHAKES MY BL HEART

IN MY OPINION, I really hoped that this drama would be a BL , but it having a touch of bromance is so satisfying already and also other than that this drama was so fun , it was funny and the cast have a nice visuals, beautiful faces , Ha dok Ho was a nerd but the nerd people like him in my country does not look like him AHHAHA.
it was easy to understand , Dok Go Bin as expected of robots such a perfect being, I just wondered why he did not know he was a robot , but most of robot dramas I have seen, robot there knew they were a robot, somehow Kim Baksa have set him not to know he was.
secret crush going on, we are always reminded that we cannot be the crush of the people we have crush unto , some only happens as a miracle if you are being liked back. the female lead here was not annoying , everyone here has a light character , I liked Dok Ho's Seonbae the one who always buy Tteokbeokki to Kim Baksa hAHHAHA.. too bad that Go bin also has to be reset just like most of the robots on robots drama, Dok Go Bin was so handsome at the last episode ! I liked how he was fond also to Dok Ho too bad really really too bad for me that this was not a BL, the drama was short but it was not rushed just so so okay
This drama is definitely a 100 % good to rewatch, this drama is something that you can always go back unto whenever you feel like it . looking forward for my next watch of Dok Go Bin so handsome !

there’s always tomorrow

lost for words bro, can’t describe this feeling of finally finding a medium that’s changed your life in ways you could never imagine. this drama was the perfect example that popularity ratings don’t equate to quality of the medium. in this case i had my doubts about it but the story was so good it had me episode one. such a difficult subject was handled w such care and precision is quite frightening. a few episodes hit you hard and there’s nothing wrong w that, allow yourself to experience what other people are experiencing

SNOOZE :(((((((((((

I LOVE Ji Chang Wook!! And I started watching it bc of him and the highish rating this drama received...

But, honestly - I really think the main lead and FML just DID NOT mesh AT ALL. Partially bc of her acting and partially bc I think the type of character she had to portray just didn't go well the character the main lead was!

Also, I did finish it through to give it a fair review - but I did skim through A LOT. Maybe bc it was an older drama but it was SUPER draggy and some parts were just simply *boring* and redundant.

The storyline itself was pretty interesting at first but it sort of fell off... It was going well and then suddenly it went off tangent for a few episodes (with some future-seeing dude) or idk... I think it was to tie in more in-depth feelings for the characters but... still feel like the story was weak.

I think it was OKAY watching it bc Ji Chang Wook was super handsome/adorable but def would not recommend wasting time for a re-watch.

If you want to finish through - you can keep it in the background - bc the story is pretty simple to follow through and don't need to pay attention to too much detail (it will all make sense in the end etc etc).

Impressed by ML's actor

I discovered ML's actors very recently, currently going through his whole filmography... it's pretty impressive to see how he changed through the years compared to his earlier roles, even physically. He was always very mature and developed in terms of acting. Recently I started seeing him in Dr. Brain and it's pretty impressive to see the range of his acting. I must say that overall he didn't seem to have a "type" of role, like Hugh Grant that is, I think, generally associated with romantic comedy. This means that not every one of his work might be everyone's cup of tea, so if you are watching a drama simply because he is the lead in it, your mileage might vary.

cute but too short adaptation of novel with same name

Yeah this drama is adaptation of novel with same name.
https://novelfull.com/hidden-marriage.html

But though novel got about 2000chapters. This drama got just 16 episodes with 4 min each. As you can expect in such small time you obtain just basic premise and rushed end.

At other hand cuteness and romantic scenes of this drama are worth quick look.

It's like a job recruitment ad

It's 40 hours of promoting the glory and nobility of the Chinese Fire and Rescue with medical drama and romance on the side.

This is a story about a:
- A delusional mother typical of her social caste passionately obsessed with ruining the MLs opportunities in life.
- A henpecked father with a minor redemption arc
- An obstinate and secretive ML with a hero complex more obsessed with his job than improving his situation in life for the sake of his bride.
- A clinically detached FL suffering from Stockholm syndrome but decides to break free.
- A half-brother with incestuous tendencies

The interaction of the main leads seem to lack that ummph that you'd expect between lost loves reuniting - passable but I guess the writer must have led a happy life. I found their reconciliation too rushed as well and failed to reconcile the issues from their previous separation instead burying it all under a lofty "forgiveness" arc.

That they still ended up being together against all odds and that she was able to stand up for him against her family is a testament that this is indeed a work of Chinese idealistic fiction.

Modern Love, Classic Charm

This GMMTV romcom takes the classic high school formula and injects it with fresh air. Exuding silliness, goofiness, and innocence, the show nevertheless portrays a mature relationship. The leads navigate personal struggles, nurturing a healthy dynamic through unwavering support and care for one another. Highlighting the modern perspective on queer love and relationships, it also delves into the hardships faced by aspiring artists in the demanding world of their dreams.
The second couple's slow burn wasn't for me (sorry!), but the overall show was my Sunday mood brightener...until episodes 10 and 11. Tears and angst replaced the usual fluff, making me question my choices and curse out Shone 😂

With a captivating plot, talented cast, catchy osts, and an adorable love story brimming with "orange cat x black cat chemistry," this series is a must-add to your watchlist!

Defying fate | The untold sufferings of the antagonist in finding love & overcoming her inner demons

"Hold the knife steadily when killing someone." - Lu Huai

How are people giving this ingenious narrative a score leser than "Perfect 10" when it had executed beyond expectation all throughout? UNFAIR!!

I will be very honest and say that I started this drama with a prejudice of the plot and how will it unfold so I wasn't that amuse at first and is cynical instead of the story simply because of the reviews I have read here in MDL. However, let me tell you something...this drama is more than the reviews it received so far from its viewers and I think it deserves more recognition and popularity for how good it actually is. So I really want more people who may happen to stumble upon this review of mine in the future to know that this drama is one of those projects you don't see and encounter being produce often, so here I am encouraging you to just watch it and discard any unnecessary groundless preconceptions you have for this story and let yourself be the judge on how you want to view this drama after you finish watching it.

I will also say that the first several episodes may bring your skeptical thoughts go active and wild but please don't let that cloud and hinder your opinion and experience in watching this drama because I assure you that it offers more than just that. That this drama is a wonderful surprise in which you will only appreciate once you have deep dive into it and truly understand the message of the Writer. So I hope that anyone can watch this drama because they want to experience and see firsthand how it actually is compared to just watching it only to prove that this and/or that review is accurate.

I used to think that the writer wanted to gaslight Su Yun Qi (FL) by justifying all of her evil doings and making her appear as a heroine who are just doing things for revenge. But then, as the story goes on I realized that it's actually wasn't the case at all. In fact Su Yun Qi's nature never really changed nor did the writer tried even once to paint her as a good girl. Instead she stayed true to her character and remained an evil bitch the entire time which makes her more interesting and captivating for me. That's also when I realized that this story isn't about her turning into a new leaf or transforming into another persona but more on her personal growth as an individual by experiencing different feelings—grief and sorrow (for losing the most important person in her life), physical pain (that she almost never experience before), hardships and betrayal (coming from her own Father) and lastly, love and heartbreak (which took her a lot of time to finally accept and hold onto because of the reservations and hesitations she used to have)—thus it taught her to differentiate between what's truly important in life and be more appreciative and capable of accepting and loving someone even at the expense of her esteemed dignity.

Regarding the story flow and overall progression, I'd say that the writer and director had a clear and detailed plan on how they want to present and execute the story to make it appealing to its audience. The fact that this is a mini drama which runs 10-14 minutes or less each episode yet they still delivered seamlessly speaks a lot to me. I can see that they really go sequence per sequence for each episode and only selected what's relevant and crucial to the story line which truly impresses and satisfies me. The story progression all comes natural and I am honestly in awe with my familiarity with the characters, as if I was given background of them prior to watching the drama. It also fascinates me how they're able to introduce the characters and make them leave a lasting impression to its viewers which solidifies their role and purpose in the story.

Lastly I wanna talk about is the eerie yet unique chemistry between the Main leads. Both of them are visually good but what made me drawn to them is their menacing aura. They exude an intimidating air that sends this "I'm not someone you should mess with" message. They're like "Yin and Yang" that balances each other. Lu Huai being the kinder person who hides his soft heart through his stoic and ruthless facade and Su Yun Qi as his counterpart who's overflowing with evilness and dark energy. Love them both!

P.S. Watching this felt weird because I can't technically support the FL for how evil she is yet can't hate her as well. You just gotta love and hate her for unconditionally. A complicated yet brilliantly written character.

"From love comes sorrow and fear. Those who are away from love have neither sorrow nor fear." - Yun Sheng

Story - 10, I started this drama out of curiousity and I never really expected to like it this much. The story is mesmerizing and will keep you engrossed to it until the very end. The sequences and events are perfectly integrated which made it easier for me to understand the story. Another thing is that it will be impossible for anyone to question the plot because they left no plot hole in it.

Acting/Cast - 10, I'm pleased and highly satisfied. I'm not very familiar with the cast but I'm sure I have watched some of them in various projects before. Daisy Li (FL) stood out for me the most. She played, nailed and owned her character. What a terrific actress.

Music - 9.5, I honestly only heard one (1) song the entire time and I can't blame them for that (since their time is limited). Nonetheless, the music were utilized properly and they made sure that it highlighted the emotions of the scenes it was being used to.

Rewatch Value - 10, I sincerely wanna recommend this to everyone. Please do give it a try and experience this weird and unfamiliar yet fantastic feeling I have had while watching it. I assure you that it's all gonna be worth it!

Overall - 10, This is a truly unexpected drama for me. At first, I even thought that I will only give this a rating of 8.0 or 9.0 but look at me now? Hahaha! It was well created and produced and will make you realize that there really are many more sides of the story that hasn't been told and explored yet. So I implore everybody to just give it a try. I highly recommend this one.

Ohhh Mother!!!!

There isn't really much to speak about in this series, though it was soooo long. so lets get into it:

Dang, this is such a ridiculously long series that was about a greedy mother. Literally the entire series is about this greedy woman trying to pretend she wants her children to have a better life than her's. It took 20 episodes to solidify she was just a gold digger that didn't get to strike gold for herself so she was doing everything to ensure that her daughter did. Once she found out her daughter BF was rich rich, she couldn't wait to get them married, swear her daughter was a prized cow that she wanted to sell off to the highest bidder. She was truly disgusting to watch, worst yet, episode 16 was the heights of disrespects to her daughter, like how do you even do that to another human being and then have the gull, de audacity, de ko-ho-Nays to plan a whole wedding and not tell the bride.. the bride, the second most important person in a wedding. This lady made all asian mothers look horrible. I've been to China and they love tradition but they not about this level. I felt so sorry for the groom, he really was just a bystander in this horrific accident that his sister and that crazy woman that happen to be the mother of the girl, planned. It just got worst and worst, and finally at the latter half of the series, you get fooled into thinking the mother finally found a clue under her gold digging pickaxe, but no she goes off and makes everything about herself again, making her entire family blow a blood vessel simply out of worry all under the guise that she doesn't want them to worry. Like how stupid is that, you run away so they don't have to worry, because they wont worry about why you just vanish.

Now, that I feel like I got enough of that off my chest (sooo much more I wanted to say), lets get onto the romance of the show. That is basically it, because there is nothing to speak about it. The total romance equates to about 1hr and 47 min of screen time, It was totally sad. I mean they were cute and their chemistry was somewhat cute, but it was like a sub-thought in the midst of a family drama soap opera.

I was truly disappointed with the entire series, because it had a romance listed... I can't even pretend this is a cautionary tale to other children, because everyone seems to just love to enable the mother and cuddle her for the rubbish behaviour she is exhibiting. Soo many opportunities the father and brother had to let her know that she is off the deep end of crazy but they made excuses...

Trust No One

Jung Soo Min is best described as a FRENEMY ... Love with your head not just your heart!

I am not really good at pronunciation
Korean Names , but that lady, the victim (main character) ... Am so glad she got a second chance to life and paid back her so-called boyfriend and friend in their own coin
She gave them the taste of their own medicine and they choked 😂😂😂

Though I am curious , if they returned from 2023 to the year 2013, does that mean that the other characters returned as well???
I would love some clarity on that aspect

Boring, dry, forgettable, skippable

I dropped the end on this one cause there was bearly any romance, the couple is a bit dry and boring and the wrap up was just uninspired. The ml has different standards for how he can interact with someone who likes him and how his love interest should. I understand jealousy but he has a whole other woman living in his house and is upset at her giving her friend some notes. That left a bad taste in my mouth, cause it was never discussed and she was explaining herself to him when I don’t think she really did anything. I held on much longer than I should have because I was hoping it would pick up. Suddenly I found myself giving up on the beach scene, that was my last straw. I suppose there are some cute moments here and there but honestly I took weeks to watch this cause it’s so very forgettable, it kept getting lost in my rotation.

what I love is that there’s no crazy scheming or overbearing parent drama, well not of the normal variety, her mom is … interesting. Also it was pretty cool that 2fl packed it up and moved on. I really didn’t expect that. In fact I’ve never seen that in a cdrama and I was fully expecting her old flame to get her back somehow. I can’t think of a single drama where the woman said bye and stood on it. Shocked and in awe. It was a nice change of pace.

what I don’t like him moving another woman into his house for a flimsy reason, the dry interactions between the mains, the wordless beach proposal and her thanking him for saying nothing and just putting on their ring. To each their own, I like a bit of communication.

Overall, very skipable, very forgettable (I’ve already forgotten the beginning tbh). I can’t imagine this is the same fl from hidden love.

"Mr Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss" is a series that has both a title that is too long and episodes that are too short.
Or maybe the episodes are just long enough -- long enough to develop a light-hearted story that makes us fall in love with the main characters and get to know the side characters. Dragging it out would not have helped, in my opinion.

This is what makes the show outstanding:
* The acting for Fukuhara's character is on point. I love how the actor can go from fake high-pitched cuteness when covering up his bad luck to real joy when something goes right, to his inner monologues complaining about his bad luck, to his real self when talking to Shinomiya.
* I like how the professor's lectures fit into the developing relationship. Also, from what I know of psychology, the theories presented are actual theories.
* It is astounding how the people working on this show have developed the supporting characters so well that I feel like I know them, even though they get very little screen time.
* The attention to detail in both the acting and the sets makes this show worth watching more than once (or twice. Or three times.)
* I am also glad that the issue of consent is so prominent in the story. (Especially as it's a point of concern in some other BLs.) Not only is it discussed several times, but the characters follow through to the end -- even to the frustration of the character who said no. The sudden kiss in episode 1 is also discussed later. (So, actually, the title is wrong. Fukuhara Kouta does have a choice to kiss!)

I also love how they showed that Fukuhara with his bouts of bad luck and Shinomiya with his incredible good luck both stand apart from the people around them. Now that they have found their counterpart who can bring balance to their lives, they will be able to open up to others and live as normal people among them.

I must admit that the nature in the background always confuses me a bit, as the story is set in April, but the nature looks like autumn -- but that might be because the whole colour palette tends towards brown and orange?

All in all, I highly recommend this series. It's fluffy and sweet, something nice to watch when you need a pick-me-up.

Take back your life

All the actors were just excellent. This drama series gives the details of what bullying can do. You were able to see from both sides of those being bullied and the bullies. It also makes you see, what is your role as a person watching the actions of a person being bullied. When we see the gangster take over the role of the teenager. He is able to enlighten and teach a better way. As adults communication is needed and observation on what's going on in your teens life. This is a drama series that would be a great watch with young people to educate them. It was short sweet and to the point. When lyou make a choice you must take accountability for your actions.

Judge by your own successes and errors

Mos Panuwat Sopradit and Bank Mondop Heamtan join forces again to lead the cast of the series 'SunsetxVibes', a piece that shines in the BL universe like the name of the company where the protagonists work.
The Thai director, screenwriter and assistant director Mi Puwadon Naosopa ('Secret Theory of Kissing', 'City of Stars') convened a team of writers, composed of, in addition to himself, his colleague Somchai Tidsanawoot, known for writing ' Lovely Writer', 'Hidden Agenda', 'I Feel You Linger in the Air', and newcomers Nunt Thongngamkham and Baifern Ataya Sawatdee, to adapt the web novel "Sunsetxvibes" (เพียงชลาลัย) by Rosesarin, and place, in the competitive business world, this suggestive variation on the theme of two young people who meet by chance one night and the next day discover that one is the newly appointed director of a large fine jewelry company and the other his new employee.
After 'Big Dragon', the series that introduced the MosBank ship in 2022, both actors participated in 'Y Journey: Stay Like a Local' and 'Club Friday Season 15: Moments & Memories', in the first two both as protagonists and in the latter having Bank as a supporting actor.
However, despite its powerful cast, made up of renowned actors and actresses, the undeniable chemistry between the protagonists, the predictable multiple romantic relationships, including perhaps a lesbian one; the beautiful cinematography, its contemporary style, the brilliant visual effects, its majestic soundtrack, the clarity with which the story is conceived on paper, the pulse with which the direction channels it through the production, and the way of defend it from Mos and Bank, the series, like its predecessors, does not enjoy the approval of the public, and I fear that the cause does not have to do precisely with the audiovisual product, but with the "trauma" that 'Big Dragon' left in many fans of the BL, as many CDM users recognize.
Someone could tell me that the problem lies in the fact that they do not accept that one of the protagonists hides their identity from the other, but, although the series must generate a conflict to be resolved with consequent personal growth, in my view, the problem does not come from hence, since the low ratings are observed from episode 1 itself, when the young people had not yet met in person. In other words, no one could know what would happen between them. The comments make it clear.
They have not given the series the benefit of the doubt and without thinking they have sent it to the slaughterhouse for reminding them of the disappointment they got (we got) with 'Big Dragon'.
I believe it is time to grow as we demand of our narrative heroes. It is not logical, fair or ethical to judge an audiovisual product because it reminds us of a frustration.
Let's trust that this time there will be an explosive, mature, healthy romance, and that we will come to identify with the feelings, the emotions of the characters.
Let's wait for warm atmospheres to be created with which we can identify and empathize with the story, so that we see ourselves reflected in the protagonists.
Let's trust that we will delight in a full love story, without red flags (as there were in 'Big Dragon') and that the proposed premise, the intellectual potential and the good intentions of the team behind the camera, the cinematographic resources at the reach of the creators and the undeniable artistic abilities of the cast.
Let's hope that the intrigue and the outcome surprise us, provide us with the satisfaction of our expectations and we can believe that love can change the course of a story, a relationship, even the universe, and feel that magic and passion can exist even if be it in television series.
There will be time to send it to the stake if it fails to meet our expectations.
For the moment, I say my YES for 'SunsetxVibes' and I hope, as on other occasions, that MDL allows me to return to this review to update it.
Thank you.
