learn about yourself

watch this cause I was looking for something short to fill the blank between drama. First found on YouTube it's only 2hr 46min, but it turn out just a short cut from long drama. A good summary to summarize only about the FL and her dates. But since the story quite captivated me, I decided to watch the whole thing.

Now let's discuss drama...

This drama tell us about a girl named Su Nuan Nuan (NN), who at the beginning at this drama hit the bottom point in her life. Her work not so successful, she became doormat for her collage & boss; her boyfriend ask for break up, cause he think NN bring bad luck in his life. In the middle of this chaotic problem, NN buy blind box that contain 'the perfect boyfriend'.

At home, NN open the box & got a surprise, the doll inside 'the perfect boyfriend' box become real human. NO, it's not suddenly get big & be alive, but more bring 'the perfect boyfriend' into her doorstep. To activate this 'perfect boyfriend', NN need to put the light into each doll necklace & each doll only active for 72 hours. Once 72h over, all the memory regarding each doll will be erased from everyone memory except NN herself.

From each 'perfect boyfriend' NN got lesson to learn for her own life. In the end she learn: "People we meet in every stage of life only accompany us through unforgettable moments. In those limited times, let's just enjoy the process."

Overall I quite like this, the idea behind this quite good. But why do I give it quite low score...? I feel something amiss in the end that I can't grab my finger on. But with that note, I feel I can't give this drama higher score than this...

Let's discuss each box. But that also means SPOILER ALERT!!! So read it at your own risk!

==================================================
SPOILER ALERT!!!
==================================================

> This man appear when NN feel underappreciated, her boyfriend word cut deep into her heart. That's when the box give NN her fav idol, Jiang Hao (JH), to tell her: "There's always someone who appreciates you."
> NN become the one who encourage JH when JH feel nobody recognize him for his talent & he almost give up being an idol. NN give him booklet fill with his photo, with the booklet JH didn't feel invisible anymore & had courage to continue his journey as an idol.

2nd lesson. Pilot
> Learn to love urself. Don't forget your own need because u compromise with other people excessively. When u too care about other people opinion, u will change urself for them.

3rd lesson. Younger boy

NN already learn what she need in her presentation & got herself the opportunity to prove her works. And in the end it just prove that NN's work is indeed great in its own way.

Love that dares not say its name....

Not as good or as heavy as Skate Our Souls and Side By Side which dealt with serious mental health issues, this instalment of Project S series is a worthy part of it. It deals with the issues of abandonment, violence, self-worth, family pressure, friendship and love through sports. After skateboarding and badminton, it is to volleyball to be put forward as the means of healing and personal growth.

The writing and the acting are stellar as usual but the intensity of the other two series is missing. I am probably watching these out of order (I saw the trailer for SBS at the ending of this drama's final episode!) so the mounting pressure is not there. Spike is more in line with ordinary teen dramas: the angst, the discovery of love and the fragility of friendship are all the usual topics of such dramas.

I needed to keep reminding myself that this was made in 2017 because the bromance was romancing c drama way. Maybe there was a bit of romance there between the boys but it was never openly said. Unless you count as the indication the moment when Puen, the main lead, jokingly says to his best girl friend that the gender is not important for him in love, crushing all her hopes...Am I seeing a BL story where there is none? I am not sure...

I guess I was looking for romance in this one because the mental health issues were not the topic here. Puen had to deal with the abandonment issues since he was little but sports helped him overcome it and gain confidence. This was all explained in a short flashback.

The songs' lyrics did nothing to make me think differently: it was all I love you, you are the most important person, you make me better etc.etc. whenever the scene was about the three particular boys. A burgeoning love triangle if I never saw one...

An excellent drama! I only hated Puen's haircut! The rest is a great watch!

Engaging

"The Only One" is a beautifully crafted series that will leave viewers emotionally invested and yearning for more. It's a must-watch for anyone who appreciates genuine storytelling .I have read the novel and i think both lead gave justice to the character and their personality specifically "Benjamin " who played the character "jian tiang". ??...hopefully there is season 2 to see how story unfolds.

'You only live once, so don't leave any regrets'

This movie took me a while to watch as this movie is a sentimental movie that needs a certain mood.
All I can say to this movie is to enjoy life... live to the fullest and just go for it.
As a traveler myself, this truly hit me on the spot as I am someone who is struggling with whether to enjoy my 20s by traveling as much as possible or to go to back to school and get a career job.
In this world, most people want to earn as much money as possible and to travel the world.
That is still what I want but it's just so difficult as responsibilities build up as we get older.

I know that everyone has their clock... but were just overwhelmed and pressured within the society and by our family.
This drama made me cry and inspired me in a certain way... to follow your dreams...

Life is hard. But we should be grateful for what we have and what God has offered us...
I'm truly grateful for what I have as there are others out there who do not...

This drama truly inspired and motivated me yet made me think about life in a certain way.

Why does it have to end that way tho...????

I feel numb.
Now I'm rewatching Twilight..

Very beautiful love story even without kisses and few words

This drama catch my eyes from the first episode with it's dialog, scene and song.
And then, more and more catch my heart, till I feel overwhelmed, because this drama is soooooo good, can not go out from my mind.
The one and only drama that makes me want to write this rating.
made me hold my breath the whole time I saw it, made me smile, made me cried, made me can not focus coz always remember the story, the caracter ?❤️

Tragic

The drama is about the missing people and doesn't miss to portray how tragic it is for them and their family throughout the show.
I really liked it. The show was quite predictable about the characters, like we know who is related to who, who killed who.But you can't predict how this is going to unfold to reach to revelation. And it was heart-wrenching to watch everytime, even if you know already what will happen.
I really like the chemistry of duo kim wook and jang pan seok. I loved jang pan seok. He represented the suffering of a family member of missing person impeccably. The story of yeo na and joon ho was equally heartbreaking. The idea of the community they have created together was unique. The village setting was beautiful, especially the flower field. The child actors did the marvelous job.
I thought the show is going to be serious and heartbreaking and it was, but still it has funny moments, carried by our duo and sometimes trio.
I really don't like only one thing about this drama that characters try to withhold information from each other, especially kim wook.
But overall, it was a unique concept. And I really liked this drama, because of the characters I'd say.So, if you are having a mood for good cry, go for it.

Nothing extraordinary but you can watch for fun

The story is about romance between demon princess/leader and some heavenly sect lord who fell in love with her during childhood. Plot was ordinary to okay ..the same typical cycle of ex appearing out of nowhere .. miscarriage.. punishment... Blood spits etc ... FL and ML did a fine job ..she is very outgoing but turns shy as soon as something serious begins,on the contrast ML is serious character in the beginning but turns playful later on.
Good chemistry.. beautiful cast .. fine VFX and fight scenes.
Definitely good for a one-time watch

Taboo or To be

Gay teen goes to a bar, mutual attraction occurs, later it turns out to be his homeroom teacher. No hook-up was implied, just eye contact. In the light of day, teacher Hoon sets boundaries but over a year, teen Woo sees every act of sparce kindness as Hoon's continued attraction for him. Woo stalks him. Hoon's job is to interview the parents at home of all the students. Finally, Woo forces the situation to come to a head by physically inserting himself in Hoon's care and doesn't leave. Woo wants an admission from Hoon. Does he remember their previous encounter? Will he admit that he is attracted to him? Will he give in and let Woo into his life? I should mention here, Hoon is 35 and his pursuer Woo is 18.

Before 2020, the legal age of consent in South Korea was 13. The film was made in 2012.

Hmmm, gray area or no?

Woo doesn't take no for an answer. He relentlessly pursues Hoon, blackmailing him into spending time with him with pictures he took of Hoon in the gay bar. Hoon is searching for another teaching position to escape as he recognizes that Woo will not give up. He knows that Woo is forbidden fruit. Woo knows himself. He is gay and he wants him. He understands the position well as his mother knows his orientation. Hoon viciously rebuffs him, and Woo hurt by his words, leaves the car in anger and cries. Finally, Hoon is free. He looks down, finds Woo's forgotten headset and carries it home. He sees Woo enter before him and on his steps he waits.

Gray area:
Though legal, what can an 18 year old teen bring to the table?
Should Hoon resist further as Woo is still in school?
Can 18 form a stable relationship?
2012 gay relationships were still no fully accepted, what would they endure as a couple, being gay, age difference and social status?
If Hoon gives in, how will his job be affected?

The film brings these thoughts to mind and only answers one. You will have to watch the entire film to get it. The actors did a commendable job with their roles. Hoon's frustration with himself and Woo is believable. Woo's dogmatic focused attitude towards the situation is dealt with an 18 year old fervor. I will recommend this film for the questions posed and the actors themselves. Though I liked it, more could have been done. Rewatch - maybe not. In 2024, this comes across more like a period piece from 2012.

Demon in the court to deliver your final judgement

For all the kdrama releasing lately were having almost similar theme with a difference of 19-20 ..this one felt quite refreshing to me ..I read the synopsis long ago and was waiting for its release .. I have to say so far this is living up to my expectations... Demon delivering the final judgement.. perhaps these dramas are for the lame judges who study in Harvard ..waste both resources and time yet deliver nothing ...in my POV law doesn't help society the much it harms it ...and that's what clearly shown in this drama.

Episode one : introduces the story how the justitia demon took possesion of kang bitna body and started living her life ( not giving more spoilers )
Episode two : what an outstanding episode... The way she beats the crap out of that creepy abuser ..MY GOD !! I WATCHED THAT SCENE ON REPEAT ...SO SATISFYING ❤️

As far as acting is considered both ML and FL are popular and talented characters ... Watching Park since her role in heirs ..she is good no doubt about that ...

Story is quite interesting so far ... The only thing I am scared of is the low korean drama bar for showing violence. . I feel some stories need ample amount of onscreen violence to justify the plot ... Hope they can deliver it to end (VIOLENCE IN EP 2 WAS QUITE APT FOR THE CASE)

I felt music was a little bit louder ..not a fan of loud electric guitar you know ... But taste in music is a subjective thing.

Looking forward to next episode release and will edit the review in the end ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfect ending to the 飞虎 trilogy

The first season was great with certain inconsistencies, the less said of the second season the better. Somehow, the third season in my opinion was the best of the bunch, extremely shocking for HK drama standards.

So, how did they make it better?

We start with the plot:
The story can be split into 2 parts, Argunbia and DH2. I felt that both parts were extremely well written and executed, and both the parts started and ended on a high note. I could not expect better fight scenes too. Usually for a 飞虎 show it is meant to be a all action, guns a-blazing plot. However, this drama managed to mix in emotional scenes and character development, improving from the first season.

To add on, although the main point of the story is on the special taskforce S Team, there are still some 飞虎队 elements inside, improving on the horrific second season. Honestly, this season was the perfect ending with a blend of both prequels.

Acting:
I felt that Michael Miu acted amazingly not as a Police officer, but as a sort of criminal/police hybrid, a little bit like his 雷霆扫毒 character 向荣. I always loved Bosco's dramas but his performance in this one was peak, especially in the last episode and his duel against Oscar Leung (who I think also did quite well). Can't say the same for Ron Ng though as his role is quite generic.

Not just the main cast were good. There were many smart choices for casting as well. The choice that they made to get Moses Chan as a cameo to be replaced by 展sir Joe Ma as well as casting a veteran actor Roger Kwok as 杜文彬 was incredible.

Songs:
I love GEM but that song is no 飞虎 song. It is better than the Karen Mok one in season 2 though. Much better.

Rewatch:
It made my heart palpitate the entire time. Definitely worth a rewatch!

That wraps up my 飞虎 reviews. Overall I really hope that they do decide to make a 4th season as long as they have a proper theme song.

It's a really good gay love story

I really enjoyed watching it because their love story was so beautiful but at the same time it showed insecurities people may have as gays. The characters feel real and genuine to me, the acting was really beautiful as well. I really recommend it and the music was beautiful, I've watched at least 3 times.

Great acting, great storyline

OMG i've watched this drama many times, i really love the story especially Takeru Satoh playing fantastic and also all the actor, i cried a few times, smiling with the love story, i highly recommended this drama, and always be my favorit drama all of my life.

So, i feel watching this drama is like watching a film because the cinematography is great, and the flashback storyline is not confusing.

Tell about the acting of Takeru Satoh, he is so charismatic, he is so deep into his role, how he stare, when he is cried all is perfect acting in my opinion

it wasn’t for me

Despite the promising plot this drama just didn’t do it for me, maybe I grew out of the aggressive and borderline possessive male lead trope. I feel like the relationship between the main leads had no development and was more of a sexual attachment than love, I will give it to the main actors who did have the chemistry but chemistry can only get you so far when the storyline is lacking. This may be other people’s cup of tea but it wasn’t mine, it’s like they were trying to do a high school version of 50 shades of grey but make it a bit more PG and failed miserably.

a very cute and wholesome drama

This is a wonderful and cute drama that is easy to binge due to it only having 10 episodes! I loved the chemistry between the main leads, there are some slow bits here and there which is why the rating dropped a bit but overall I recommend it. Maybe far fetched but I’d love a spinoff with her oldest younger brother maybe set in a couple years when he’s older, I grew to love him a lot! If you’re looking for something quick and easy that doesn’t have much drama apart from the ending episodes with his disapproving mother I recommend this drama, I loved the domestic vibes it had because the main leads lived together throughout most of the drama. It’s just super comforting and wholesome and I can see myself rewatching in the future.

Overall rating: 9.4/10

Not sure if everyone else watched the same drama because what??

FL isn't really good with expressing emotions, especially romantic ones. She is a badass character when it comes to fighting and defending herself verbally, she is not your typical 'nice and takes sh*t from everyone' kind of female lead which I actually liked. But my god her interaction with the ML was just so bad. There was a scene where they were supposed to be arguing but she just looked playful and confused (or was just pretending to be clueless about why the ML was mad?). It's only in the next scene when the servants talked about 'their big fight' was how I realised it was a fight. There were so many scenes that were supposed to be sweet and them falling in love but I felt like skipping the whole time because the acting were just stiff/terrible.

The storyline was all over the place, with this that and everything happening and it's so obvious that it's a low budget drama. I just couldn't watch it anymore when I missed a few days and then suddenly had 10 episodes to watch. It was ok when I had 2 eps to watch daily with nothing else to watch. It's not something I'd actually be curious to know about or care enough to watch how it ends. Definitely not rewatching.
