Thought it was good but I was misTaken

A strong 5...

OMG, I really thought this show was going to say something meaningful about bullying, single parenthood, guilt, parenting, etc. Wow, was I misTAKEN. Lmao, I mean, the pun was right there.

I started this at a 6.5, but somewhere after the halfway mark it completely lost direction and slid down to a 6 then a 5. I'm of the camp that this should have ended at episode 7. Everything after that feels like the production trying to outdo itself instead of knowing when to land the plane.

The premise was never original. It is basically the retired black-ops dad formula, Taken with a Seoul postcode. Honestly, I would have been fine with that if the adaptation had brought something new to it, but it really doesn't. Instead, it pads everything. Flashbacks that could have been two-minute scenes are stretched into entire chunks of runtime, and the North Korean orphan storyline feels like the same copy-and-paste plot we've already seen a dozen times. I just wanted one fresh idea. Apparently, that was too much to ask.

Ju Gang-chan is the biggest waste for me. He starts off strong and then somehow becomes more pathetic with every episode. I'm supposed to believe this feared gangster-turned-businessman sold out his entire country because his daughter assaulted a classmate? Then, when his downfall finally comes, we barely see it as enough. All that setup for what?

Then there is our lead, wearing the exact same expression in every single scene. Grief, rage, tenderness, mid-fight, it is all the same face. I cannot roll my eyes far enough.

I came for the action, and some of it is genuinely sloppy, but at least it is frequent. Honestly, though, this show is far more interested in being a comedy about three middle-aged men than the thriller it sold itself as. My respect for the trio and their chemistry is doing most of the work keeping this at a 5.

And yes, season 2 is apparently being discussed.

Bad football story

If you're here for drama and don't care about football at all, this is for you. If you actually want a football story, you'll be disappointed.

No football team plays with zero subs from episode 1, and they have no plan to bring any on. Midway through, one player misses a game and they play with 10 men for 90 minutes lol. I don't even think you can start a match with less than 11 players.

The coach is the worst in football. Zero emotion, just sitting there acting cool while his team gets beaten. No real football coach manages like that, and this guy supposedly coached a club in Southampton, England.

The camera angles make it impossible to watch as football. All close-ups, no tactical view whatsoever. Football is about strategy and team play, you understand the action from watching the whole field. How do you watch soccer from a close-up angle?

The hero club lost 11-0 to supposedly the best team in the league, then two months later beat the same team in the final. If you get beaten that badly, either your defense is terrible or their attack is elite. Either way, I don't see how they choke in the final without scoring a single goal. I've seen plenty of miracles in football, but I've never seen an 11-0 loss turn into a 1-0 win.

There are more problems with this series but I'll stop here. It just made me angry.

Simping Princes

Not sure what went wrong with this . I didn't feel there was much chemistry between the two leads. I found the acting okay, I guess, but not always entirely convincing . Not a big fan of all the continual simping princes , infact I found the M/L, at times came accross as a little obnoxious. The ideas were there but for me the story line was poorly executed.. I did force myself to watch it through to the end, and liked the paternity twist, but believing the M/L had died only for him to suddenly reappear at the last minute was bonkers. On a positive note the sets and costume designs were great as was the music score I'm glad I watched it, but it wont get a re-watch..

agréable .., mais sans plus !

"À demain au bureau !" : une romance de bureau réaliste, mais sans surprise
Cette série coréenne tire son épingle du jeu en prenant le contre-pied des clichés du genre. Fini les regards langoureux à la machine à café, ici, Ji-yoon, une employée brillante, doit avant tout se reconstruire après une rupture douloureuse. La romance avec son supérieur, Si-woo, se construit lentement, à travers des collaborations professionnelles et une reconnaissance mutuelle du travail bien fait. Un parti-pris mature et réaliste qui change des romances éclair sirupeux.

La série brille par la justesse de ses personnages et la crédibilité de son univers de bureau, dépeignant avec finesse la fatigue mentale et la pression du quotidien. Les acteurs, notamment Park Ji-hyun et Seo In-guk, sont convaincants dans ces rôles nuancés. Cependant, force est de constater que le récit reste très convenu. On retrouve tous les codes du genre : les tensions hiérarchiques, l'ex qui refait surface, et les évolutions psychologiques attendues.

Au final, la serie est une œuvre agréable et sincère, qui se regarde sans déplaisir, mais elle n'apporte rien de nouveau à une formule que les dramas ont déjà explorée à maintes reprises.

bref, c’est parfait pour les amateurs du genre, mais je ne peux m’empêcher d’être un peu déçu …

my worst thai GL to date

This is my 5th Thai GL I've seen & the first one I'm quite unhappy about. Started watching these GLs largely because the short format tends to help sidestepping bad Lakorn tendencies & there is lots of feelgood fluff. Pluto in the second half of the show however speedruns some of the worst soap tropes ever. In kdramas sometimes the drama characters do a little drama-ception & watch a really crazy weekend drama on a screen within the screen and this show would fill that role perfectly that's how insane it is..

May's actress is probably very talented, but the director should have reined her in more, she is really not even trying to pretend to be blind most of the time, just keeps direct eye contact with everyone she is speaking to..

I've seen worse dramas before, but compared to Clairbell this is basically trash. The plot outline is somewhat similar to Another Oh Hae Yong's, but also that one is much more satisfying in every way that matters to me. So 5/10 it is.

Influenza was a short film/mockumentary by Bong Joon Ho. Cho’s story was told through the dispassionate ever-present CCTV lenses. No dialogue. No music. No narrator. Just tiny progressive glimpses of a man spiraling downward into crime and violence.

Cho’s descent begins in a subway restroom practicing his sales pitch for instant glue with men lined up at the urinals behind him. When luck turns against him, he makes fateful choices in order to eat. Joined by a woman as desperate as he is they feed off each other as their robbery spree escalates.

I wondered what the title Influenza meant and I’m still not sure, but as you watch this film, you’ll see people assaulting each other behind Cho. Like Kurosawa’s layered filming technique, there were layers of lawbreaking and cruelty from the forefront to the back. It was as if a violent, criminal virus was spreading. Even Cho’s one act of altruism likely aided another criminal. It was not all gloom and doom, there were humorous bits. Ahjummas do not give up their money so easily!

Bong’s use of CCTV as the only means of storytelling with a smidge of sound was an interesting one. The ever-vigilant surveillance never slowed the crime pandemic seeping over the city. Only when the nefarious couple took their brutal bender too far did civilization step in and draw a line. Once again in a Bong Joon Ho film, society failed both the victims and people driven to perpetrate their crimes, this time silently witnessed by Big Brother’s omnipresent eye.

"See You at Work Tomorrow?" Not even in my dreams!

Office dramas are rare, and they are usually adapted from webtoons. The most famous or memorable ones, in my opinion, remain Misaeng: Incomplete Life and Gaus Electronics. Both deal with very different subjects, but they share one important thing: writing that actually has something to say. Whether constructive, funny, dramatic, romantic, or humorous, they always bring something meaningful. Above all, they are built around a group of lovable characters that we quickly identify with and, logically, grow attached to. With See You at Work Tomorrow, it is exactly the opposite. This drama turns out to be completely lifeless, or worse, totally sanitized. The episode length does not help either. The adaptation is certainly poor, but I honestly think the original material itself was already weak. The fact that the project was entrusted to two rookies as writers says a lot about the confidence placed in it. We narrowly avoided an industrial disaster. This drama is a collection of things we have seen countless times before, with absolutely nothing original to offer.

The story takes place inside a cutting-edge electronics technology company. We follow the development of the relationship between department head Kang Si-Woo (Seo In-Guk) and his subordinate Cha Ji-Yoon (Park Ji-Hyun), an engineer who has worked at the company for seven years. Competent and respected by her colleagues, she joins Si-Woo’s R&D team when he returns from the United States after several years away. He is a handsome, rather taciturn and secretive man. A loner hiding his own emotional wounds. She has recently gone through a painful breakup. Yet she finds herself intrigued by this charismatic man who appears distant and cold. Her best friend Yoon No-Ah (Kang Mi-Na) is also recovering from a toxic seven-year relationship. Caught between their professional responsibilities and their desire to rebuild their romantic lives, both try to move forward. Around them are colleagues, ex-partners, and other unnecessary distractions (the emotional backup options).

See You at Work Tomorrow mistakes maturity and restraint for a complete lack of personality. Being an adult, calm, or realistic does not mean being cold and flavorless. One word comes to mind to describe this drama: boring. The proof is Misaeng, which is much slower, heavier, and more dramatic, yet I never once felt that it dragged. Behind its office setting, there was a real message: a satire of Korean corporate culture, social criticism, and characters who genuinely evolved. Here, the professional environment is nothing more than decoration. The drama is clean, well-produced, but it has nothing to say beyond its own story. Everything is smooth, predictable, and completely risk-free. It lacks the one thing that turns a decent series into a memorable one: an identity. You watch it without any real involvement, like a cow watching a train go by. There are no real rivalries between teams or colleagues, the stakes are limited, there are no surprises, and the script—which could fit on a single sheet of toilet paper—is completely predictable. The first seven episodes are an absolute nightmare to get through because the story is basically standing still. Once the final credits rolled, I asked myself a simple question: What concrete thing is there left to remember after these twelve endless episodes? Unfortunately, not much.

The problem is not simply that the pacing is bad. The problem is that the drama does not have much to tell. I found the romance forced, predictable, and above all, completely lacking passion. They are together simply because the script tells them they have to be. In a romantic comedy, the couple should be the engine of the series. We should want to see them together, feel their chemistry, and look forward to their important moments. Here, I never felt any of that. This couple gave me nothing. They made me feel nothing. I never imagined myself in their position, and I never had the impression that I was watching a special relationship develop. Their first kiss, which should have been the emotional payoff after several episodes of buildup, left me completely indifferent. The soundtrack can try to convince us that we should be moved, but emotions cannot be forced. The problem also comes from the stoic romantic hero archetype. It can work, but only if the character has something captivating about him. Here, he is so rigid and passive that he becomes the ultimate romance killer. He never laughs, barely shows any spontaneity, and his charm relies almost entirely on his appearance. But a handsome face cannot replace a personality. Seo In-Guk is talented, but he is completely trapped by a role that gives him almost nothing to play. Park Ji-Hyun is present, but she never seems truly invested. Her smile feels forced; she is simply going through the motions.

The actors are not the problem. The issue lies with the scenes, the dialogue, and the direction, which are completely bland. The story is so weak and uninteresting that the supporting characters quickly become nothing more than filler. The second couple perfectly summarizes the writing problems of this drama: two characters with completely opposite views of love. He believes love comes and goes. She believes in a relationship that is built over time after seven years together. That is actually a great foundation for a meaningful conflict of values. Except the drama forgets the most important thing: showing us why they belong together. She does not really like his style, his age, his personality, or his vision of life... but the script has decided they must end up together, so they will end up together. Even if we have to watch them turn into complete sentimental fools. I love Kang Mi-Na, but she is not given the respect she deserves. She deserves much better than this kind of thankless role. She was fantastic in Welcome to Samdal-ri. The drama introduces a fake professional conflict around episode 8, but it quickly disappears. Everything happens not because the story needs it, but because the writers need to fill the remaining episodes. The drama does not create obstacles. It creates artificial situations. We are not watching a romance develop or a workplace environment evolve. We are watching mandatory boxes being checked on a production checklist.

Finally, the story is sold as a romantic comedy, except it forgets to be funny. I did not smile once during the entire viewing. And that perfectly represents the main problem I mentioned: the series simply lacks life. The episodes continue with a constant feeling of padding. This drama only has twelve episodes, but I felt like I had watched twenty. It is endless. And when it comes to killing romance, it is hard to do worse. They look less like lovers and more like two colleagues negotiating a business contract. Before leaving, here are a few unusual remarks because the Sandman completely destroyed me with his magical sleeping powder: The refrigerator: "We follow engineers responsible for developing... a refrigerator that makes spherical ice cubes. Surely humanity had been desperately waiting for this technological revolution." The second couple: "She likes neither his style, his age, his personality, nor his vision of love... but the script decided they had to end up together. Move along, nothing to see here." The coincidence : "They have been going to the same store for years, owned by Ji-Yoon's father, without ever meeting... and then, magically, they run into each other exactly when the script needs them to. What timing!" And as I said earlier, everything is sanitized: "The characters, the romance, the conflicts, the dialogues, the direction... even the French dub, which kills their relationship with all the formal 'vous' and the constant 'sir/madam'." In short, this is not the drama where you will find madness, passionate love, or lighthearted fun.
Rating: 4/10 :But I give it a passing grade because of Kang Mi-Na, who gets her own privileged Joker card: "Meow, meow."

Just ok

While there isn't anything terribly wrong with this drama, there also isn't much that stands out. The story has all the skeleton and pieces that could be made into an epic period piece, but not enough flesh is ever put onto the characters, plot or themes. Shen Xihe is driven and ambitious, but I never quite get why. Not enough of her back story as Gu Qingzhi is portrayed on screen, so I feel little connection to her for most of the drama. It also makes her relationship with Prince Xin strange, and poor Jeremy Xu just ends up looking like an obsessed love-struck fool. Perhaps just nixing the rebirth element would have fixed that issue.

The political storyline is also weak in its pacing and overall development, opting for a last minute a-ha reveal that is void of dramatic weight due to lack of build up. The harder but potentially more interesting story to tell would have been to bring the back story into the forefront from the beginning and with the audience knowing, portray the cat-and-mouse game in the court in a more sophisticated manner. Alas, missed opportunity.

Romance in these type of dramas is always secondary for me. It should a nice icing on a rich story, but here it isn't even enough to make up for the story's major flaws. Additionally, Meng Ziyi and He Yu lack in chemistry on screen, and neither is a good enough performer to carry through on their own in their individual dramatic scenes.

While a much richer production with better costuming, lighting and set pieces than say, the recent Key to the Phoenix Heart, unfortunately this drama lacks in heart and soul for much of its 36 episodes. Check it out if you are a fan of the cast or period dramas in general, but it's just another meh one for me.

a feel good drama about a thug

7.1 feels way too less for this drama. even though it wasn't amazing by any means it wasn't as terrible as the ratings suggest either

the biggest issue with the drama was it didn't know whether to be a feel good family drama or a mafia/thug drama and ended up not doing well as either of those two genres. had they chosen a specific genre and stuck to it the drama would've been wayyy better than this

Khemjira was a drama that really surprised me. I expected something different from the usual BL series, but I didn't think it would be this interesting. The story kept me hooked from the beginning until the end.

One of the best things about this series is its unique plot. Instead of focusing only on romance, it mixes shamanism, family curses, past lives, and supernatural mystery. This makes the story feel fresh and exciting. The horror elements also add suspense without taking away from the emotional side of the drama. Every episode moves the story forward, and there are very few unnecessary scenes. I was always curious to know if Khem would be able to survive the curse before his 21st birthday. The village setting and the supernatural atmosphere made the series even more enjoyable.

The main couple, Master Pheem and Khem, have amazing chemistry. Keng and Namping did a wonderful job in their roles. Their relationship develops slowly, which makes every moment between them more meaningful. Watching their bond grow through small moments, caring actions, and emotional scenes was one of my favorite parts of the drama. Their performances felt natural and believable.

I also really enjoyed the side couple, Jet and Charn. Many dramas have side couples that don't add much to the story, but that wasn't the case here. They brought humor, warmth, and emotional support. Their playful arguments and the way they always looked out for Khem made them easy to love. They felt like an important part of the story instead of just extra romance.

Another fun surprise was Net Siraphop's cameo as Kachen. I wasn't expecting to see him, and his appearance made the drama even more exciting.

Overall, Khemjira has a strong story, excellent acting, beautiful visuals, and great chemistry between the characters. If you enjoy supernatural mysteries, emotional storytelling, and slow-burn romance, I highly recommend giving this drama a watch.

Fairly Liked It but I Can See Why Some Did/May Not

My defense of this drama can be summed up in a few words: not every love needs to shout from the rooftops. Some love stories are subtle and grounded. They thrive on slower moments and work because of mutual respect, understanding, and support.

While this approach wouldn't work for a grand, sweeping romance, I believe it works for a love that can stand the test of time and all the tribulations that come with it. See You at Work Tomorrow is exactly that kind of story. It lacks the over-the-top antics of a chaebol romance, and it doesn't use heavy angst as its central anchor.

Instead, it portrays the kind of love that the majority of people actually experience. It thrives in the mundane—though this is admittedly where it might lose some of the audience. Ji Yoon and Si Woo deal with very ordinary, everyday issues: horrid bosses, gossipy coworkers, exes who keep popping up, and insecurities regarding both their careers and their relationship. Like I said, regular life stuff. It isn't inherently exciting, but it is deeply grounded and realistic.

🍗Another element that might test the audience's patience is Ji Yoon herself. The drama is told from her perspective, and she can be a little frustrating. She is an overthinker who is insecure at work and in her personal life, which leads to some self-sabotage early in her new relationship. However, I always reminded myself that she jumped into this romance fairly quickly after ending her last one. The lack of a proper healing period from her previous, largely one-sided college relationship was the catalyst for many of her frustrating choices. The issue with her career is also due to a mean and demoralizing boss. Realizing that allowed me to give her a lot of grace.

🥗Kang Si Woo - He is the steady tree that Ji Yoon needed after the mess she went through with Ga Eul. While he has his own communication issues—his ex even mentions his tendency to keep things to himself—he faces Ji Yoon head-on. He is always there to show how much he cares. Still, I wondered: who is he outside of this relationship? I would have liked to know him better. A few flashbacks to his years post-divorce and how he coped would have been a nice touch to give his character more depth.

✈️Noh-Ah - Miss girl really tried my patience in those opening episodes as she fought to keep her relationship with the undeserving Gu Won. Out here embarrassing me and the homegirls! Girl... why would you kneel? She was also quite shallow and selfish, which showed in how she treated Ji Yoon and her own sister. However, her growth throughout the show is incredible. She finally learns to put herself first and even finds a younger, hotter boyfriend.

I thought their romance was adorable—but I’ve always been partial to a noona drama, so take that with a grain of salt. The one thing I would change about their ending is his plane gesture; instead of having him join her, I would have preferred a time jump showing how they navigated long-distance. Let me see some video calls or digital dates!

🧰Home AI Task Force - They were incredibly cute. It was lovely to see a hardworking, dedicated team of coworkers who not only got along but genuinely supported one another. I can only hope for one such team of coworkers in my future career steps

⛓️‍💥The one thing I can wholeheartedly say I didn't enjoy was how divorce was treated. Perhaps it's just a cultural thing/difference, but why did they treat it like a kind of moral failure? That just pissed me off. It felt incredibly unfair, especially because the grounds for it were nothing grotesque.

All in all, this is a drama to watch when you need to slow down. It isn't going to feed a craving for high excitement or constant butterflies, nor is it a binge-able show. If I had tried to binge it, I likely would have dropped it. So, is it worth the watch? It depends. If you have a high-priority show on your watchlist, go try that first. If not, give this one a chance

A simple action packed revenge thriller

If you are familiar with Old Boy, Taken (Liam Neasen), heck Top Gun Maverick, and many others you will be familiar with the quiet unassuming, middle aged man. Barely holding on to his masculinity and self esteem. Who re-emerges to show the young, the rich, the powerful that he' s still got it.

This is a well-produced, tightly written great example of the genre. The hours fly by. Sure is it a bit repetitive? Plot thin? Reality suspended? But it more than makes up for it with some of the best K drama action scenes ever, with a welcome amount of live action instead of CGI.

It does has it fair share of torture/sadism scenes in it - just as fair warning. But, it's not unremittingly grim and dark, there's a lot of fun, humour and action along the way.

A beautiful k-drama despite budget constraints

I absolutely loved this bl! For me this is a contender for best BL of 2026 going toe to toe with Payback.

The plot with star crossed lover potential of a victim in love with the murderer's son was intriguing enough and from the first episode the characters and actors truly capture your attention with their realistic, great acting and a well written plot. The chemistry is palpable between our main leads and they give you enough clues that has you invested in wanting to see the resolution of the murder cases as well as also see the main leads get together.

It is a unique and mature k-bl, which I completely adore. We have two adults who are working in the real world and they have a lot of trauma to unpack, but both orbit each other and can't stay away. Honestly if you want good acting, with great plot and the feel of k-drama watch this! Though each episode had short run time, it was packed and paced so well and with short episodes and run time, they still manage to capture your attention and makes you attached. I am genuinely sad it's finished, I wish we had 6 episodes more!

The characters are amazing, the actors are excellent and overall if you love crime dramas and you love bl, this is the one for you! It gave me mainstream k-drama level of quality and that I enjoyed. Only hiccup was the ending. It is a happy ending so that is not to worry, but it is rushed and I get the feeling that is due to lack of budget as I think they had no idea that this drama was going to blow up in popularity. Still, the rushed ending wasn't enough for me to dock points, I still loved it! Definitely a must watch BL of the year. I hope we get a special episode or season 2. Fantastic acting, intriguing plot and amazing chemistry. Definitely watch it.

Boat and Oat are one of my favorite BL couples. Their NC scenes are tastefully and passionately done. Their micro expressions enhance their character development.

So far there have been several things that have hinted at a more complex underlying storyline. Already by episode 5 there have been two attempts on Nahkun's life. Their soulmate bond where they can feel each other's pain will probably become an asset as the story develops. I'm really looking forward to the child that they create that's definitely going to be an enigma. I've only actually watched one other omegaverse series (ABO Desire) which indicated enigmas have superior intelligence and strength. The pregnancy should be very interesting.

The third brother intrigues me. I'm looking forward to seeing his character develop. I saw indications in episode 2 that he is a rival of his 2 older brothers. However, later in his interactions with Phatsa he seems to be a younger misunderstood sibling. The seduction scene at the bar in episode 5 foreshadows more intimate interactions. Honestly, Phatsa's friend could make a rock horny! Since he doesn't have real feelings for him, is the intensity of his sexually inherently related to his impending heat cycle?

We're only on episode 5. So much more to look forward to!
