Not typical romance drama
This drama's storyline is great and engaging to follow. It's the perfect blend of romance, refreshing comedy, and touching emotional moments. The narrative centers on rebuilding a nearly hopeless, underperforming high school soccer team, delivering a highly satisfying counter-attack and coming-of-age experience. Esther Yu shines as Lin Wanxing, a psychology PhD student, while Chen Jingke plays Wang Fa, a mysterious former British football coach. Their banter, show their good chemistry.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
A Deliciously Slow-Burn Romance
The secret ingredient of this show isn't the food. It's the romance between the two leads. (≧ヮ≦)💕
This drama serves up plenty of delicious food, heartfelt romance, and just the right amount of comedy. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with this review... except to say: don't watch it on an empty stomach. 👩🍳🤌
The story follows a modern family who suddenly finds themselves transported back in time, where they end up living with one of their ancestors. Together, they open a restaurant and use modern cooking techniques, recipes, and marketing ideas to compete with the local businesses.
The overall story is lighthearted and easy to watch. The conflicts never become overwhelmingly heavy, making it a perfect comfort drama. The comedy landed surprisingly well for me, and the cinematography deserves special mention. Whether it's beautifully presenting the food, emphasizing tiny character actions, or quietly capturing someone's changing expression, the camera always seems to know exactly where your attention should be.
What I appreciated most was that the drama never tried to make itself feel grand or overly complicated. The story is fairly simple, but it's packed with thoughtful little details that make the world feel alive. I loved seeing the family adapt modern ideas to an ancient setting like using chalkboards to update the menu, handing customers menu lists, taking orders with small notepads, and coming up with clever business strategies. Those tiny touches gave the restaurant so much personality.
The romance, however, is undoubtedly the heart of the show, and also the source of my greatest frustration because it's such a slow burn. 😂 I laughed, giggled, sighed, and occasionally wanted to yell at my screen, "Geez... just get a room already!" The chemistry between the leads is simply irresistible. Shen Shaoguang's cheerful, energetic personality perfectly complements Ancestor Lin's quiet, reserved nature. Watching two complete opposites slowly fall for each other was ridiculously satisfying.
And then there's Li Yun Rui.
His performance completely won me over. I found myself quietly studying his micro-expressions throughout the series because they revealed everything his character couldn't say aloud. Long before the script openly acknowledged his feelings, his eyes already had. Every subtle glance, every restrained smile, every moment of quiet concern felt like little emotional clues. By the time those hints became impossible to ignore, all I could think was:
"Oh no... he's completely gone for her." 👀
Li Yun Rui carried so much of the romance through subtle acting alone, and for me, that's what elevated the entire drama.
While the drama begins as a comforting romcom, it gradually takes on a more emotional tone in its latter half. It never completely loses its warmth, but be prepared for the story to ask a little more of your heart than its early episodes suggest.
Overall, Yummy Yummy Yummy is one of those rare comfort dramas that leaves you smiling long after you've finished watching. It doesn't rely on grand political intrigue or earth-shattering plot twists. Instead, it wins you over with lovable characters, delightful comedy, delicious food, and a romance that quietly sneaks under your skin before you even realize it. If you're craving a historical romcom that will make you laugh, kick your feet, and completely melt over two people falling in love, this one is absolutely worth adding to your watchlist.

No benefits in watching this
As a premise, I will be transparent and say that I mainly watch BLs but I very much enjoyed both Jan and JingJing's performances in Hide & Sis so I decided to come out of my comfort zone and give this show a try: much to my chagrin, this did not go well at all.Being a very standard, predictable office romance (not a critique per se, just a statement regarding the genre), I wasn't expecting much plot-wise but I at least wanted to enjoy the characters and their development. While Lal is an ok character (whose main flaw is just being a total simp for reasons that I am still trying to grasp), Wine was the bain of this whole show: an egocentric, contradictory, entitled spoiled brat, she had the potential to be a very interesting character based on her backstory and trauma; in the end, if her indecision was kind of reasonable in the first half of the series, later on her constantly going back on her footsteps became a chore to watch (I don't know how many times in ten episodes she stormed out of the room after arguing with Lal). The general romance plot is, in the end, reduced to a bunch of trite tropes that are not even well done nor endearing to watch (them being enemies for like one episode, the secret relationship made way more complicated than necessary because they refused - I don't know why - to at least be friends at work, the useless lies and cheap break up in the last episodes and I could go on).
The latter part of the show, also, introduces a main villain whose only trait is being a sexual predator: from his introduction onwards, Wine is further reduced to a damsel in distress, while Lal has to constantly save her until the very end. This boils down to another main flaw of this show: the sheer heteronormativity of it all, with Lal always acting like the "man" of the couple and Wine being the fragile woman who needs to be saved and protected. I thought we left this kind of writing behind years ago, but here we are, I guess. On a positive note, I enjoyed the commentary on the role of women in the workplace and, more in general, the feminist message that the writers tried to send (message that, oddly enough, clashes with the aforementioned heteronormative structure of the romance).
Production wise, the show doesn't do anything particularly well or bad; the supporting cast was fine, occasionally funny, but nothing more. The side couple is, in my opinion, sudden and unremarkable.
As a whole, Enemies with Benefits is mediocre at best, with no real highlights: I've seen worse, but I've also definitely seen way better.

One of the best movies of 2026 IMO.Simple straight forward story telling with stellar performances from the cast, engaging story-line and themes that transcend race, generations, and countries.

So good
This was so good, the story is very interesting and keeps us on our toes till the end. The cast is doing amazing and the chemistry between the leads is superb.I cannot believe a GL show made me defend a man tho, I knew from EP2 that the dad didn't really do anything bad, he's still responsible for covering things up but he's not a bad person !

Just incredible
I loved this show, everything about it was made with love and it shows. My only problem with it is that I could never watch it with someone else or recommendation it to someone that isn't already into thai GL.Don't get me wrong, I love the representation of realistic intimacy and horniness, especially with people as young as P&A filled with hormones and discovery. It just makes it so this show cannot be shared with everyone unfortunately.

Confusion
It was a very good gl, the acting and writing was well done. Unfortunately I cannot for the life of me find any chemistry between the leads. They were cute and technically their story works really well but I just couldn't get into them.I was very much more impressed by the other couple, nothing against the main actresses, they did so good, acting was immaculate.

⚠️ warning SA. There's a first for everything
First time in my life I'd rather the mc end up with a man.I don't like Nop, he's annoying and using sun for his own gain, but you know what he didn't do so far ? Rªpe her.
I cannot believe this drama is trying to make it look like it's nothing, like Sun wasn't crying and begging for Flint to stop before giving up and saying okay to avoid being hurt further. She has now assaulted both twins in the same evening and no consequences were given whatsoever.
I'm not done with the show yet and I'll finish it just because the cast is doing a good job (and I will never get over it if I don't finish it) but I would have stopped if I could because I've seen all the comments saying this never gets properly addressed or punished.
From all the drama you can see in fandoms, about who kisses how and who looks gay enough for people, I've seen almost nothing about this despite the very bad representation it gives. What a joke the glspace is.
My only hope now is that the secondary couple will be developed enough (it looks like it so far) that I will at least have a good time with them.

Worth it.
Eventhough at first I wasn't convinced to watch the series I looked at it because of the cast.I already loved the actors since My Standin.
Seeing them with Singhto is like seeing the future of Jo and Ming.
We will see what's next, but for now the two series they did in these two years, I love them.
Keep going guys!

Beautifully and thoughtfully made, handled with the utmost care and respect.
Every scene captures exactly the emotions it intends to convey.Fourth&Gemini have always been exceptional, but this is undoubtedly their best performance yet.Their acting feels so natural&emotionally honest that every feeling reaches beyond the screen and straight to your heart. You don’t just watch the story—you feel it,The butterflies, the LOVE,the spark, the tension,
the struggles,the fear,the nervousness,the joy,the infatuation,the sadness,the guilt,the longing—every emotion is delivered with remarkable sincerity,making it impossible not to be completely immersed.
This series is so beautiful, so meaningful, so FULL OF LOVE.

I started watching this with zero expectations, but surprisingly, it's so entertaining!
I am deeply impressed by the eldest sister and the Tanhua scholar (the third-place imperial graduate) couple. Initially, he felt forced into the marriage, yet he actually adores every single one of her qualities—whether it's managing the household, painting, calligraphy, or taking excellent care of both his mother and himself. When he faces danger, she also comes up with great ideas to help him. She is such an impressive, wonderful woman. However, because it was sort of an arranged marriage combined with a last-minute bride swap, he felt cornered and showed signs of resistance. Seeing him come back to win her over after surviving his ordeal is absolutely adorable. The court debate scene regarding filial piety and parental debt serves as a perfect slap in the face to a dysfunctional Confucian society that degrades women. It makes me feel that Confucius had a terrible personality and a lot of complexes to have despised women and suppressed them to such a low status.
