TOP TIER

everything you could want in a vertical drama! great low angst watch. i loved ML & FL together. he had a supportive family that embraced her. ML was entirely devoted to FL from the start and helped her realize her worth. revenge was satisfying. sweetest heartfelt romance with a little bit of heat. ML was so cute and goofy with her. their chemistry & progression felt effortless and natural & pacing was perfect. happy ending. overall might be one of the best and most enjoyable ones i’ve seen. would actually rewatch.

The best Cdrama ever

This is a Cdrama that I wouldn't want to end! I watched every scene and sometimes even rewind it just to rewatch some parts, unlike in other C-dramas that I would play it forward just to skip some boring scenes. Pursuit of Jade is just amazing! The cast, the OST. The female lead is so charming and magnetic, never annoying just like the other female leads in other Cdramas. And the Marquis of Wu’an is so handsome!!! I would want a husband like that for myself. The story is so interesting that I was able to watch 10 episodes in 1 sitting, If I did not have to work I would finish all 40 episodes at once. But I just dd not want the series to end!!! It’s that good!one of the best I have ever watched, if not the best!

End of mission is so important...

I was so ready for this. Vampires. Men kissing. BounPrem. Barcode. And the rest of the cast as well. And I was totally into it for most of the series. But the ending was so rushed and unsatisfying to me! It was building, building, building then BOOM...over.

I was invested in the main characters. I was invested in the side characters. I enjoyed the plot twists. But then it just stopped.

I'm rating it fairly high because I really did enjoy the ride...until it abruptly ended.

I need a second season or sequel.

A MASTERPIECE

Everything about this series is perfect. Teetee as Duang is so perfect. He is so cute and he acts really good. The golden retriever energy suits him so much. Por as Qin is perfect as well. The black cat energy he’s giving is just amazing. He’s so sassy and cold during the first few episodes but then he slowly open up to Duang (who will not?) They are so cute together. I will miss DuangQin and TeeteePor so much. The other casts are perfect too! I believe they are the best and really good. Acting is so good (yes there might be some room for improvement but still, I cant think of other actors to act as DuangQin) How to live without them omg 🥹🤍

May make you cry but it was AMAZING

Veil of Shadows is one of the best Cdramas of 2026. It is a more dark Xianxia genre than typical drama. The storyline requires a strong attention to detail, recall, and understanding. Each episode has a veil full of mystery and answers. The drama is more implicit than explicit about love. The little gestures in life matter more. They don’t say I love you, but actions speak louder than words. Each character wears a mask, making it hard for one to understand every character, which makes this drama so complex. However, once you understand everything and piece together the information, you can truly understand the beauty of the storyline. All the arcs connect and are the perfect length. The ending evokes mixed feelings, but I find it to be a truly satisfying ending. I also recommend listening to some of the OSTs with a translation of the lyrics because they are truly beautiful. I recommend listening to 雾时光 by Xin Liu for WuWu couple and 不苦 by Ju Jingyi or Tian Jiarui for JiLu couple. 不苦 has two versions, one from each actor and both convey different emotions (I am still waiting for that duet). Every actor in the drama did a wonderful job conveying their character. The visuals: stunning. The acting: magnificent. Side characters: amazing.

Issues some people might have against the drama
Billing:
The debate over billing is something we shouldn't really argue about, as it's something the actors themselves agreed to.They all decided to go and choose this drama because they want to challenge themselves, and I have seen much improvement in their acting. Starting off with Tian jiarui, he did a phenomenal job in playing many different characters, each distinctly different. His microexpressions were so on point and heartbreaking that it elevated the intense emotions of the drama. Ju jingyi had a huge breakthrough. She has broken out of her typecast roles where she still had to maintain her pure idol identity. With this drama, we see a completely different side of her. We see Ju jingyi—the actress. Her emotions and devotion are all so apparent, realistic, and moving. I am so proud of her improvement. Zeng Shunxi in this drama played more of a stable character. While I have not seen a lot of his dramas, I have seen him play active and high spirited, ‘hero’ roles. In Veil of Shadows, he plays the cynical, blunt, and logical character. Unlike his usual roles, this character is considered stable and reliable, which can make his character seem less sensational to some. However, I see this restraint as a testament to his acting. He is their rock. The anchor. Chen Duling brought out exceptional and critical traits of her character to an unparalleled level. Her acting allows you to see the contrast between Wu Wangyan’s outer self to her inner self, the multifaceted sides of her and the misalignment of emotions her character faces.

Screen Time:
The debate over screen time overlooks a fundamental narrative truth: each relationship in Veil of Shadows moves at a pace that is strictly dictated by its own nature. The chemistry between Tian Jiarui and Ju jingyi is outstanding. They have perfectly brought out the emotions and devotions of first love, which in the first few episodes might seem a bit bland. Zeng Shunxi and Chen Duling’s chemistry is also breathtaking. They have flawlessly brought out the domestic, mature, and stable relationship built by strong trust and understanding, which after their relationship truly bloomed it makes them seem casted aside to some.

I understand that this drama might not be everyone’s cup of tea, which is totally fine and understandable. If you do give this drama a chance, I hope you put aside your biases against any actors or the director’s artistic style. I also hope viewers can resist the urge to compare Pursuit of Jade to Veil of Shadows. Because they belong to completely different genres, comparing them does a disservice to both. Instead, I hope you are able to simply be happy and enjoy both masterpieces for what they are. This is a drama that needs to be slowly savored and analyzed. If you need help, everyone in the community is very kind and will be willing to help.

Sugar, spice and everything nice. hehee

Fluff? Check!!! Cringe? Check! Angst? Check!! Soft Spice? Check!!

This series was a huge surprise for me, I'm typically a drama, messy, supernatural, sometimes bad plot kinda gal but being a fan of Por from Your Sky (watched as a pallet cleanser and didn't hate it) , TeeTee from DMD friendship and loving DEXX I knew I needed to support even if it meant playing it in the background and WOW did it blow any and all expectations I had.

Its funny and lovable, has the type of cringe that makes you pause the show and take a DEEP breath to push yourself to keep going, but after the first couple episodes you get used to it. Heavy emotions don't hit until later in the series and when they do it really wraps the whole story up for you. The soft spice is what shocked me, TeeTee needs to show some of these older "vets" how its done cause WOW.

I'm not new to BL in the slight and the concept is not unique but what these young boys brought to the show has been a huge surprise and they have set a bar so high its going to be hard to top.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Maybe Thank You. A thank you to TeeTee, Por, and everyone apart of Duang with You, it has been such a delight to watch every week and I can already feel the emptiness of it being over. Can't wait to see more from my babies in the future :)

this was okayy ig?

I mean at first i really liked pete and ae , like other couples ae is really to the point , there misunderstanding is not delayed and is cleared in the same episode, I was a little shocked when i found people called them boring but then I also started finding them boring, they were cute ngl but still I was bored of them.
The couple tin and can , well they were fun to watch at the start but the end was i mean i don't know what to say , can doens't know what is love and he wants tin to be friends but tin doesn't want that at all because for tin, can is the only one he can trust, I didn't know what to say about this couple , I will have to watch the second season to make my decision.

kla and P 'no , I didn't like kla at all , he took advantage of P ' no when he was drunk and blamed him( p no ) that he was the one who did this and told him to take responsibility , he also took advantage of his kindness and asked him to be his boyfriend. i was disappointed but whatever.
and the last , p tum and tar , I think they were good, after knowing what happened with tar , he just wanted to love him and gain nothing in return which I found really sweet but that thing which p tum did was not much talked about , he said sorry but still and ofcourse they were siblings so i find that more weird and i don't think the series has mentioned if they are step siblings or not if they are real them it's just disgusting. so yes that's all

DUANG WITH YOU IS GOATEDDD ???

Duang with You is the best bl of 2026 so far for these two reasons, writing of characters, and plot. (Before I start I want to say I haven't read the novel beforehand of watching the show!! )

Writing of Charaters :
Each character in this show is well-written and fleshed out in their own ways. First is the title main character Duang, he is characterized as loving, caring, and genuine. Since the very beginning we can see that he adores Qin with his whole heart. Duang throughout the entire show cares for Qin deeply like no one else in his life. He always supportes Qin and they communicate their thoughts and feelings with each other. From the very start the storytelling showed that Duang was persistent on winning Qin's heart, but not wanting to step over boundaries, this is the standard to see because it feels realistic to how Duang yearns for Qin, but keeps in mind not want to make him feel uncomfortable Thier relationship is full of trust and they always look out for one another.

On the other hand our other main character Qin is very dear to my heart. Qin is perceived as cold, distance, and emotional unviable, but that changes when he meets Duang and opens his heart to him. As we learn more about Qin throughout the show we see the reasons for the way he is, to his first approach to letting someone in ending poorly, to his depressing childhood and emotional negligent parents, plus horrible abusive nanny. All these factors in who Qin is characterized to be, and how is love for Duang is so profound to anyone else in his life. Duang always gives his 100% with Qin, which moves Qin to want to give his all with Duang. Thier health and functional relationship is absolutely amazing to see, because in some other bls (key word SOME) toxic relationship are glorified and romanticized, which can be harmful to the way impressionable audiences view love.(Doesn't apply to everyone but can happen in some cases. )

Moving on to a underappreciated topic, the friendships. I adore the main trios, both Duang and Qin's relationship with their friends is authentic and heartwarming to watch. Duang, Jamie, and Pae are one of the best things to come out of this show. Their sooo hilarious and bring a light hearted silly vibe when their on screen. I appreciate the great chemistry Teetee, North, and Wave had, where I felt that they were friends playing as best friends. They care for each other truly in their hearts, which I hold very dearly to me, as I love my friends as well!! Next Qin, Tong and Kim are noticeably more of a chill trio than the others. They show that they care for each other in a subtle way, they are more clam and show that they are looking out for each other. Both friendships in this drama are charming, and a majority of veiwers can reality to either groups unique appeal.

Writing of the plot:
They way the story unfolds is meaningful to see. The world that's built around the character's is beautiful to watch unfold The development form beginning, middle, to end felt that the plot had a clear understanding how it grew with the characters and audience. The tone of the show can be seen by some to be cringey as well as corny, but I feel there're numerous mature themes and moments portrayed throughout the story along with the more goofy aspects. More love has to go to this amazing team, love the director and his work (yes biased!!), and all the actors didn't not fail to bring this show its charm and whimsy. Especially my favs TeeteePor acted outstandingly and showed that they can carry complex characters with a well written plot, hope they get a million more bls together as they grow as actors.

Conclusion:
On a very personal level Duang with You has brought light into my life every since I watched the first ep, it filled me with this joyful feeling that only a few shows make me feel. I've loved this show even before that with the pilot and trailer made me anticipate this drama alot. Safe to say it didn't disappoint, and I would HIGHLY recommend this fantastic show!!!<3

Truly awful

I couldn't finish this. The acting was ok though the FL is the exact same character in every show I've seen her in. She is the worst at kissing scenes and makes me feel as uncomfortable as she obviously is. The whole story is one trope after another (and I am usually happy with most tropes because I can just take them for what they are). The only couple worth watching are the second FL and ML who were brilliant. The ex's family and the FL still doing everything for them and then the ex - just yuck.

Yearner Girlfriend at it's peak

(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) SIGNIFICANT THINGS I WANT TO POINT OUT:

There are only 3 things that truly caught my interest: the visuals, the romance between Ling and Wuyi, and the plot twist in the last 9 episodes because that was peak perfection. GJM is a director who makes a series look like a moving photoshoot. I especially love his expertise in creating such exciting and dynamic fight choreography!

The romance between Ling and Wuyi is the main reason I finished the whole series. I rarely see a relationship with this kind of complexity. There’s drama everywhere, but it actually makes so much sense. The writer really understood the assignment—creating reasonable conflict while maintaining a healthy relationship at the same time. It seems like other writers think the only way to create drama in a healthy relationship is through miscommunication and misunderstandings. But this drama didn't give off that vibe, which felt so refreshing and nice, IMO.

ಠ_ʖಠ THINGS I DISLIKED:

♪ When GJM transitions from a very intense, interesting scene straight into a slow, dragging conversation — it totally breaks the immersion! Who even thought this was a good idea?
♪ This drama definitely has its fair share of boring scenes... unfortunately. The first arc (Xiaowei) was really boring in my opinion. Thankfully, because of the stunning visuals and the cute moments between Ling and Wuyi, I was able to pretend it wasn't.
♪ Chen Duling's acting here is so weird? I mean, I guess I only really noticed it here, but it honestly pissed me off.
♪ Ju Jingyi's acting is so-so; sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. I love it when she cries because she really lets go of her expressions, but I really dislike it when they just move their mouths while acting instead of using their whole face/emotions.
♪ Yan'an... needs to broaden his expressions too. THESE ACTORS NEED TO JUST LET GO AND SHOW MORE EMOTION!
♪ ♪ About the power scaling of the plot... Mo Yuntan was so OP in the earlier episodes, almost defeating Lu and Wu, but he can't defeat a single fox at the end? Make it make sense!
♪ Not really interested in WuWu's relationship, it's so basic. They should have just been the second couple, not main characters, because it's obvious they were just accessories to the plot.

( ◜‿◝ )♡ INSIGNIFICANT THINGS:

♪ Compared to FOF, the OST of VOS is louder. Thankfully, GJM used less background music whenever characters speak compared to FOF. I don't really care that much, but I know others do so I pointed it out. (I love Ju Jingyi's voice though!)
♪ It wouldn't be GJM's work if there wasn't a hint of queerness. Duh. We got two instances here.
♪ It also wouldn't be GJM's work if it only focused on romantic bonds. GJM doesn't roll that way—sisterly bonds, brotherhood, and friendship will always be present.

I FOUND MY KDRAMA OF THE YEAR!

From the writer behind "My Mister" and "My Liberation Notes," "We Are All Trying Here" dives headfirst into the cutthroat world of the film industry. The story centers on a man in his forties, an aspiring director yearning for his big break. His journey intersects with a stressed and anxious producer, and together with a diverse group of individuals, they embark on a quest to overcome their feelings of worthlessness and carve out their own place in the world. This drama is a slice-of-life, character-driven narrative that unflinchingly portrays the pain, struggle, jealousy, and anxiety that accompany the pursuit of dreams in the face of relentless setbacks.

The characters are a masterclass in moral ambiguity, driven by a complex mix of desire, greed, hardship, and a deep-seated need to be seen. They exist not in black and white, but in the nuanced shades of grey, their actions often questionable yet undeniably understandable. The pilot episodes are nothing short of cinematic brilliance, immersive and akin to a feature-length film. This emotional rollercoaster is elevated by phenomenal performances, thought-provoking dialogue that lingers long after the credits roll, and a brilliant introduction that leaves you eagerly anticipating the rest of the journey.

Koo Kyo Hwan leads the charge as Hwang Dong Man, a character who is likely to stay with viewers for a long time. He's a complex, broken man grappling with anxiety, masking his struggles with a smile and a talkative facade. Watching others progress while he remains stagnant fuels his negativity and jealousy, shaping his actions. While he may be difficult to fully comprehend, he's a character you'll find yourself rooting for, like they said in the show he's a man with a thousand doors open, his character has a lot you will find yourself critiquing but slot you will find yourself loving, he's not the best but definitely not the worst and he's human. Koo Kyo Hwan's nuanced and raw performance breathes life into every emotion.

Alongside him, Go Youn Jung shines as Eun Ah, a producer whose anxiety manifests as nosebleeds. She navigates each day with an unsettling lack of warmth in her eyes. Go Youn Jung's portrayal of Eun Ah, a character who communicates more through subtle gestures and impactful eye acting than words, is exceptional.

These two eventually become two broken people that seek warmth, recognition and strength from one another, through late night walks, eating together sharing pain, they bond.

The cast also includes Oh Jung Se as Park Gyeongse, a director struggling with his writing despite a successful debut, and Kang Mal Geum as Ko Hyejin, a hardworking producer. Park Hae Joon plays Hwang Jinman, the male lead's brother and a former poet grappling with grief, while Han Suhwa portrays the actress Jang Miran.

With such a large cast, one might expect the narrative to be driven solely by them, but "We Are All Trying Here" showcases a group of relentless individuals working together with an amazing show and script, delivering nuanced, real, and relatable acting that touches the soul. The writer allows each character to shine, both individually and as part of the ensemble, offering viewers diverse personalities to connect with.

"We Are All Trying Here" is a rare gem that sweeps you away with its storytelling, characterization, and direction. As the director noted, this drama is for those who appreciate a journey, focusing not on success but on battling internal failures and worthlessness, finding the strength to persevere, and acknowledging shared hardships. It offers comfort in the knowledge that we are not alone in our struggles. This is a show that stays with you, and I highly recommend it!

A Quiet Story With Subtlely That Makes It Work

Core Feeling: quiet, sensual, intimate

Standout: the silent, unconventional connection between the leads

What Worked: the subtle storytelling and emotional atmosphere

What Didn't: not very memorable in specific details

One Honest Thought: I don't remember everything but I remember how I felt— and that feeling stayed with me.

Beautifully told EPIC love story & a master of complex Plot♡

Ever find a drama who grabs both your heart & brain at the sametime & fully occupied both till the end? I just did with VOS & that's what makes this drama so special.

It does take 7 ep for me to get hooked (coz their 6 ep is more an introductory) but when it does, I'm getting my mind blown left & right with the plot & how beautifully told they are.
However it does require 100% attention coz there are so many details, puzzles to be put together, the plot is complex, convulated but really intriguing to work out your brain more than your exams 😂.

But they're more than just that, the doom's fated couple who defies heaven & earth just to be together making me cry for days. Two lonely souls who find similarity in eachother & feel connected with, eventually become eachother's anchor and safe heaven yet destined to be seperate forever really breaks my heart.
This drama is center about love, whether it's between lovers, brothers, sisters, buddies, all kind of beings to even alien beings, things they value & their own burden.
GJM really did a great job in capturing everything, writing such an epic beautifully told love story, mystery, convulated plot altogether & give a satisfying ending in all of that. That alone deserve a 10/10 for me.
They're not without its flaw (esp in regards to dragon's son deity) but I think what matters most is how they make me feel throughout the drama. And don't let me even talk about the acting, TJR & JJY here really outdid themselves & giving an astonishing performance, handsdown.

It's an amazing romance action drama series

Esther Yu Shuxin and He Yu perfectly portrayed the role of Jiang Mu and Jin Zhao in the romance action drama series Speed And Love filmed in China and Bangkok Thailand. All of the OST are beautiful to listen, memorable and romantic. The drama sceneries are very amazing! All the main and supporting characters like Esther Yu Shuxin and He Yu together with Mike Angelo, Patrick Finkler, Fei Qiming and Casper portrayed their character roles very well. It's a romance drama that shows the meaning of true love.
