Beautiful Healing Drama
An absolutely beautiful series. Love the four couples and how their relationships progressed. The cast were fabulous. Lee Sung Kyung never fails to deliver outstanding performances (my favourite being Call It Love) and Chae Jong Hyeop is brilliant in this. I first saw him in Castaway Diva and in this series, he shines. Lee Mi Sook is one of my favourite actresses and she is so well cast here giving off the Anna Winter vibes with her hairstyle, sunglasses and commanding authority but also not negating her loving role as Grandma. Han Ji Hyeon displayed a balance between her flippant, happy go lucky personality and her sensitive, caring characterisation which was somewhat reminiscent of her portrayal in No Gain, No Love which I love. First time seeing Kang Suk Woo and his role as Mr Park was so impressive. I will look out for him in other dramas. Genius of course is the main star!!! The series was so lyrical and the references to the seasons added to the depth of the series development. Everything tied so well together and the flashbacks added to the engagement and understanding of the plot conflicts for the audience. Again another memorable OST. My favourite being All I Wish by Seo Ja Yeong. I just love happy endings and the final episode did not disappoint! It’s in my top three recent healing k-dramas alongside Our Unwritten Seoul and Can this Love be Translated? Was this review helpful to you?

I'm Prepared To Love You With Everything I Have
At first glance, it looks like just another college BL series light, fluffy, easy. But that assumption doesn’t last long.Duang With You doesn’t just stay in the safe lane of cute storytelling, (it is cute and cringe at times) it quietly deepens, pulling you into something far more emotional than you expected. What starts as simple college fluff turns into something that lingers. Something addictive.
It’s a delicate balance of warmth and heartbreak. One moment, you’re laughing at Duang’s chaotic charm and trio… and the next, you’re hit with emotions you didn’t see coming.
And loving Qin? That was never going to be easy. But when Duang said, “I’m prepared to love you with everything I have,” it wasn’t just a line it was a promise. He kept his word to the Tee😁
What makes it even more entertaining are the details. The kind you almost miss if you’re not paying attention like Qin vs. the music room stickers, the quiet way he stares out the window at home… echoes of a past where he was fed mud as a child.
If you're looking for fluff with slice of life, this is definitely for you.
The OSTs are absolute bangers.
The acting? Amazing.
The only real problem with the series… is that it ended.

amazing masterpiece series BL 2026
If you're still thinking whether to watch this drama or not... just watch it!!! Don't hesitate! This drama is truly amazing, trust me 🙏🏻.. First, I watched the official pilot episode and I was already interested in the storyline.. but after the edited trailer was released on YouTube, oh my gosh I was so excited!! DWY is a masterpiece that is suitable for entertainment because while watching I was very entertained by the behavior of Duang, Jamie, and Pae.. their friendship is really amazing and silly 😆, Then how the director portrayed the character development, I really liked it. Duang is a very nice guy. Even the OST is all good, like a musical drama 💕, details like the room design and the furniture I also like, even the basic manners of all the characters too, Duangqin makes the chemistry become a natural and adorable couple. The good rating for this drama is indeed deserved. Thank you to the director's efforts in making this series as good as possible, he also made the supporting actors with effort because the supporting actors are already well-known in the entertainment industry too.. so I enjoyed this seriesWas this review helpful to you?
This One Had Me Hooked… Then Left Me With Thoughts I Can’t Shake
I just finished Once More Love in 1995 and I’m sitting here with so many feelings. This drama pulled me in fast with its emotional premise, and for the most part, I was fully along for the ride. The whole time-travel storyline? Instantly intriguing. Watching Man Ying go back to try and save her mother from a tragic fate gave the drama a strong emotional core right from the start. There’s something about second chances and rewriting the past that always hits, and this one definitely had its moments.
But let’s talk about what really worked for me first, because the leads? I loved them.
Their chemistry felt so natural and easy, like they didn’t have to try at all. And honestly, it makes sense since this is (what feels like) their fourth drama together. You can tell they’re comfortable with each other, and that familiarity translates so well on screen. The little moments, the looks, the banter… it all just clicked.
Now… Man Ying.
I wanted to be fully on her side, I really did. Her motivation made sense, she’s trying to protect her mother and give her a better life. But at times, she felt a little too controlling, which kind of contradicted her whole goal of wanting her mother to be free and make better choices. It created this push-pull feeling where I understood her, but also found myself frustrated with her decisions.
To the drama’s credit, it does address this. It takes a while, but once Man Ying starts to realize what she’s been doing, you can see that shift happen. By the later episodes, she does redeem herself, and that growth felt important, even if I wish it came a bit sooner.
And then… the ending.
I won’t spoil anything, but I’ll just say this: I wasn’t fully satisfied. It felt a little unclear, like it didn’t quite land the way it could have. With a story this emotional and layered, I really wanted a more defined, fulfilling conclusion. It wasn’t bad, just… not as strong or as clear as I hoped.
My Ratings:
Story — 7.5/10
The time-travel premise is engaging and emotionally driven, but some character choices create moments of frustration. It keeps you invested, even if it doesn’t always fully deliver on its potential.
Acting — 8.5/10
The leads bring a lot of authenticity to their roles, especially in emotional scenes. Their experience together really elevates the performances.
Lead’s Chemistry — 9/10
This is where the drama shines. Their natural connection and comfort with each other make every interaction feel genuine and easy to watch.
OST — 7.5/10
The soundtrack fits the emotional tone well and enhances key scenes. It’s solid and consistent, even if not particularly standout.
Overall Vibe — 8/10
Emotional, engaging, and easy to get pulled into, with just enough drama to keep things interesting. It’s the kind of show that keeps you watching, even when you’re questioning certain choices.
Final Thoughts:
Once More Love in 1995 gave me the chemistry I wanted and a story that kept me invested, but also left me wishing for a bit more clarity and balance, especially toward the end.

A drama that makes you crack your brains for every minute!!!
Veil of shadows is a drama with a very multi-layered and deeply wrapped plot with brain racking twists and turns.STORY-
The story is well written with many interlaced concepts, predestined fates, secrets awaiting to be unearthed and tracing down the fragments of Jiu Ying, the evil force behind all the chaos and menace.
ACTING-
Chen Duling and Ju Jingyi, as the fox sisters, from Formless Moon sect, excelled in their roles as Wu Wangyan and Lu Wuyi respectively. Their background stories of carrying out missions, sharing memories, coming to rebirth with the Power of Moon after every mission, the oracle stone, all seemed very interesting. Their bond was also very good without any unnecessary misunderstandings. 👍
Tian Jiarui as Ji Ling, a multi faceted and multi layered character, also was outstanding in his performance. 👌
Zeng Shunxi, as Wu Shiguang, totally nailed his role, as the Tenth Dragon son, the last hope for the world left by his brothers. His performance in the last episode was superb👌
Yanan, as a commander of Shilin sect, who wanted to know who was he exactly, also, was very good in his acting👍
All the other actors were perfectly cast and totally brought life to their roles.
OTHERS-
The bgm's were good and seemed to fit the situations perfectly.
The costumes deserve a high appreciation. They were beautiful and elegant 👏
FAVOURITE COUPLE-
Of course, it was Wu Shiguang and Wu Wangyan for me. Their story, though started in an illusion, became a deep affection for both of them in reality. I liked their little conversations and all their scenes in the star stone illusion. 🤗
NEGATIVES-
I felt that the plot could be more focused on the mission of eliminating Jiu Ying and the steps to gather power required for that.
Upto episode 18,everything went perfect, but I felt it went downhill from there till episode 27,again where the real fight with the main antagonist starts.
The director could have reduced time for unfolding the secrets and relations of Li Jie and Ji Ling and Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi as well.
I think the parts involving Li Jie, Lu Wuyi and Ji Ling dragged for a longer time which made me skip many scenes involving them.
The focus could be kept on how the Tenth dragon son would be trained for this mission of world peace and how everyone supported it.
It was not until the climax, that everyone is shown to unite against Jiu Ying, which felt very rushed for me.
The plot could be more developed in this direction.
Anyways, this is honestly my personal opinion.
On a final note, this drama is" A MUST WATCH AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ONE".👌💯
Watch for its interwoven theories that will definitely make your brains work, but would rather never turns out as we we expect!!

This Drama Had Me Smiling… But Also Lowkey Wanting More
I went into Dream of Golden Years expecting a light watch, and somehow ended up completely charmed by it. It’s the kind of drama that wraps you up in its world so easily, with a female lead you can’t help but root for from the very beginning. And honestly? She made this drama for me. Her character felt strong, layered, and refreshingly believable. There was nothing over-the-top or forced about her performance, it felt natural, grounded, and real in a way that pulled me in episode after episode. You could feel every decision she made, every emotion she held back, and it just worked.
Now let’s talk about the romance… because this is where I have feelings.
There was chemistry, you could see the potential, especially knowing what both leads are capable of. I’ve watched them in Love Me, Love My Voice and Sweet Teeth, and they absolutely delivered there. So coming into this, I knew they could’ve given us something deeper, more emotionally intense, more felt. But due to censorship, the romance here felt a little… held back. Like it never fully crossed that line into something truly immersive. The emotional connection was there, but the payoff didn’t hit as hard as it could have, and I found myself wanting just a little more depth, a little more boldness in those key moments.
Still, the drama as a whole has this warm, easy charm that makes it hard to stop watching. I just loved all the characters so much!
My Ratings:
Story — 8/10
The plot flows nicely and keeps you engaged without feeling overwhelming. It’s easy to follow but still gives you enough emotional and narrative depth to stay invested.
Acting — 8.5/10
The performances feel natural, especially from the female lead who completely carries the emotional weight. She brings authenticity to every scene and makes her character feel real.
Lead’s Chemistry — 7/10
You can see the chemistry, but it never fully reaches its potential. Knowing what these actors can do makes it feel like we only got part of what could have been.
OST — 7.5/10
The soundtrack fits the tone well and enhances emotional scenes without being distracting. It’s pleasant and cohesive, even if not overly memorable.
Overall Vibe — 8/10
Warm, engaging, and easy to sink into, this drama feels like a comforting watch. It may not go all-in on romance, but it still leaves a lasting impression of following your dreams and not holding back.
Final Thoughts:
Dream of Golden Years is one of those dramas that wins you over quietly, led by a standout female performance and a story that keeps you coming back. I just can’t help but wonder how much more powerful it could have been if the romance had been allowed to fully breathe.

You either hate it or you love it and you’re obsessed. There’s no in between
This review is for people who are yet to watch it.First of all I’ll like to sympathize with anyone that didn’t watch this drama while it was airing . Just as the title suggests “Duang with you”, this series was literally with us . This series had one of the healthiest fandoms I’d ever seen . The conversations we had , the edits , random comments… Duang with you was more than a series , it was an experience.
Now you have the second opportunity to watch this series and as you’re watching it , you might feel it’s overrated but I promise you it isn’t . This series was rated based on how we all felt for 12 weeks . This is one of the few series that each episode was better than the last . We watched them fall in love . By the final episode it was so obvious how much they loved each other .
The series has a very simple story line yet it was able to handle complex characters and situations. The first few episodes were a bit cringe but at some point we got into it and it was so cute . I beg you to give it 5 episodes and if you still don’t like it , then the series isn’t for you .
Everything about this series was great ! The storyline, pacing, acting and music . The only part that was a bit lacking was the story of the second couple . I feel like as much effort wasn’t put into their story as the main couple but that’s fine … you can’t have it all .
This series tackles , love at first sight, friendships, situationships, childhood trauma etc .
This drama is officially top 2 on my favorite Bl dramas and it’s not number 2.
This drama proves that sometimes, less is more . They had a simple story and made it great . Better than having a complex story and it’s up messy with poor pacing .
Side feelings : I wish all the actors the very best in their careers and would always root for them ❤️
They’re quite young and so I hope their spark doesn’t die and they realize how talented and special they are 💐

"NOT THE BEST BUT STILL GOOD"
P'Kla once said before releasing the show "this show is not unique, unlike the others, its the typical one, it is not the best but still good"P'Kla was right, this show is your typical college BL romance; your typical 'they met before', your typical 'he fells first but he fell harder', the typical setting in BL romance you could watch. But one thing I must say is that how well written this show is, how complex the characters are written but deeply manifested, how well the romance that you start admiring the non-toxic environment the story is. No other plot holes, no other plot twists or any toxic spice, just pure sugar and sweetness, a balance of taste and slice of life, it was duang and qin's lovelife and how they are so compatible with each other. Even friendships are written best, with all those proper communication and consents. The music in the show isn't cringe at all, how I love to watch them sing and it fits so right, the castings are perfectly matched and of course, bow down to the first series of teeteepor as they made duang and qin alive and real.
Yes, its the typical BL romance but that makes this series an addicting one, the flow is just crazy, it was so well done. If I will be asked to watch it again, I would love too, it is rewatchable, no cringe moments, just pure and genuine love, I can't explain how this series made me love college romance in BL again, they hooked me in. Domundi delivered, they create the most unexpected series plotting ever.
Yes, its not unique. Yes, its not the best, BUT STILL GOOD.

Completely wholesome First Love story!
Oh my what a run! I just finished the final episode 12, easily by far the best episode of the series, and I feel one of the best final episodes of any BL series I can recall. It was like bathing in a warm sun of bliss! But let's get back to the start. I remember some people dismissed the show early on, especially for Duang's (TeeTee) hyperactive childish acting. But in hindsight, Duang was one of the most interesting and loveley characters developments I have yet seen. From a wild puppy overwhelmed with love, changing Qin (Por), one who through deep trauma in his childhood had closed up entirely, Duang being a reliable support and maturing in his care for Qin, I felt this was one of the most interesting changes of both characters, without entirely breaking them up, but showing how fist love changes people and how both grew together organically.
All actors were a feast for the eyes, great acting, and no scene felt needlessly and nothing missing either. I know, university and high school first loves are a bit overplayed by now, but this one I admit felt like a whole new level. I could feel the actors gave their all, and two different characters finding together with a lovely support crew, I am glad I didn't give up and felt thoroughly rewarded with a wholesome series, hoping we see TeeTee and Por for many years yet to come. With a good soundtrack and especially main theme, two experienced singers and dancers, some drama overcome together and an ending both mature and fantastic, I have no hesitation to award this series with
10/10
Memorable breakthrough!

HOW is this show this good??
Duang With You is a show where you read the description and maybe decide it's a little generic - in a college setting, one guy is pursuing another in hopes to make him fall in love. I think this plot has been done a million times before in a million of mediocre ways. However this show is NOT one of these overdone college romances with no substance. This show FULLY explores these characters, their fears and hesitations, their insecurities, and how their feelings for each other develop over the course of the show. This show is so beautifully done that now that I have finished it I want to go back and rewatch it from the beginning just to experience it again!Duang (Teetee) is a design major who, after seeing Qin (Por) perform a song at their school's Freshy Night festival, immediately falls head over heals. Qin is used to the attention of people - and rejects them immediately, every time. Duang is determined to pursue Qin though and (as long as Qin is okay with everything) will do whatever it takes to win him over. When the two are forced to work together for a performance, Duang sees the perfect opportunity to get closer to Qin, and while Qin is reluctant at first, he quickly notices how pure Duang's intentions are and decides to see how long Duang is willing to treat him this good.
Wow. WOW. The acting, the directing, the writing.....all of it was incredible!! I could not stop kicking my feet and laughing at this show. It's cute, it's silly, and it's got some perfectly balanced trauma and heartache to go along with it. No stupid miscommunication conflicts that take three episodes to figure out for no reason - everything in this show felt like it had a purpose in developing the characters and their relationship. Teetee and Por did a FANTASTIC job as these characters, and I think that Duang may go down as one of my favorite BL characters ever. The side characters really helped to keep the mood goofy and light when needed, and I really enjoyed all of their storylines too - but truly, the focus of the show is on Teetee and Por as Duang and Qin, and I never for a MINUTE got bored of these two. I cannot wait to see what the actors do next!! I don't think I could possibly recommend this show enough; you just have to watch it to understand the hype!!

Confusing and messy
Quite confused with the plot. FL was supposed tobe without the 5 senses and yet she could see
and hear right from the get-go. It seemed she was only lacking sense of touch, smell, taste and not all 5 senses. Her not killing Chang was out of character given how she was supposed to be a strict sovereign. I really enjoyed episodes 1-9 and starting from when she gained ML's sense of touch, things went downhill. FL going from being the cool bad-ass sovereign to being a giddy childlike mortal was such a turnoff. Other people dropped after episodes 16 and 28. Midway thru episode 11, I was starting to think about dropping it too. Wouldn't wanto force myself to watch something when there are so many many more other dramas to watch. I like both the main actors and it's really such a shame they were given a project with messy writing.
Was this review helpful to you?
Season 1 was incredible, while this season was just (barely) okay.
Season 1 was, in my opinion, close to a masterpiece. It was so beautiful and well-written. (Maybe I'm reaching a bit far. This is just my opinion, so don't hate on me if you didn't feel the same.)Season 2, unlike Season 1, was a letdown. The script was chaotic and weird. The characters felt unlike themselves.
The "final battle" was so... interesting, let's say that.
Despite all that, the cinematography, the acting, and especially our main couple, saved this season from being a total disaster.
I'm so, so sad how they handled Season 2. It was disheartening since "Flourished Peony" was my favorite C-drama.
I'll still give this a 7/10 or 7.5/10 for the acting, cinematography, and our main couple. And well, even though the writing felt so messy, we did have some really nice scenes.
Season 1 is a 9/10 or 10/10 for me, though I also understand it's not everyone's cup of tea.
Now, if anyone is unsure whether to watch this after hearing about the negatives this season, I'd still very much recommend it. At least give it a try. :)

A Hidden Gem Worth Sticking Around For
Another Taiwanese drama that seems underrated on MDL, Agent from Above is a series that deserves more attention than it’s currently getting. Hopefully, being on Netflix , it will get more viewership.Set in a world where gods, spirits, and humans coexist almost matter-of-factly, the show wastes little time explaining its mythology. Instead, it drops you straight into a universe rooted in Taiwanese mystical culture, where the male lead, Han Chieh serves a god, the Third Crown Prince to maintain balance between realms . I like this immediate immersion where the supernatural is treated as an everyday reality.
At its core, the story is a classic struggle between good and evil. Han Chieh, a flawed ML bound to his duty and debt to the Third Crown Prince, acts as the human guardian, empowered with magical artifacts to take on supernatural evil and disturbances, while grappling with his own past and guilt . The narrative may begin somewhat confusing in episode one—but once it finds its footing, it becomes much more engaging and cohesive.
Where the series really shines is in its tone and execution. Taiwanese productions have a distinct flair, and this drama leans into that strength:
Visual effects are impressive, enhancing the fantasy without overwhelming it.
Humor is cheeky and well-timed, adding levity without undermining the more emotional moments.
There’s a lingering bittersweetness throughout the story—an acknowledgment that not every innocent can be saved, and not every evil needs to be eradicated.
The ending, in particular, strikes a satisfying balance. It feels grounded, almost realistic within its fantastical framework, while still offering a sense of hope. It doesn’t tie everything up too neatly, which works for me in this case, and even leaves room for a potential second season.
Overall, Agent from Above may not be a flawless series, but it’s engaging and visually strong. It is a hidden gem for viewers who stick past the first episode, and definitely for those who enjoy supernatural dramas with a touch of humor.

Uncut = Too long. Could have been so much better if edited out fillers
Who will enjoy “Duang With You”? This drama is probably not for everyone but a pretty selected audience. Here’s what I think. “Duang With You” is best enjoyed if:1. Are a lover of fluffy and cute romance and don’t mind sound effects to add on the cheese.
2. A fan of love-at-first sight
3. A fan of persistent, almost stalkerish type behavior to pursue a love interest
4. Looking for a stress-free drama to not think about the craziness in the real world
Honestly, I don’t quite hit all these categories myself but I was in search in the #4 category and I knew what I was getting myself into. So, with expectations calibrated, I dive into Duang’s world.
Plot/Pacing:
As the title of my review suggests, this drama could have been so much better if it’s edited to be shorter and tighter. A drama that relies on the romance between Duang and Qin and nothing much, having 12 long episodes is just too much. Some of these episodes are 1 hour and 20 minutes long. We’re not watching a Thai lakorn with twists and turns, or birth secrets. There is just not enough to fill all those hours. I was under the impression that the uncut version means steamy scenes not being edited for public TV broadcast. But in this drama, I think uncut simply means the director includes everything and nothing is edited out, steamy scenes or not. There are actually some very meaningful conversations between the leads that are important to the character development. Yet, those don’t come often and are overshadowed by filler scenes of friends fighting for snacks, leads nose kissing each other, banter about doggy jealousy, or minor characters having too much screen time. I wish time was better spent, esp with Qin’s family drama and the secondary romance.
Acting:
Acting is a mixed bag here. I personally think TeeTee is the best of the bunch. He is Duang! Cute and charismatic and you just can’t not like him. Unfortunately, Por needs a little more practice. I distinctly remember a scene where Por/Qin sat next to young Qin and both of them were crying. The contrast in that crying scene was so evident that the young child actor did way better than Por. The rest of the cast did fine. None is exceptional and also none is a disaster.
Characters:
Duang is cute, no doubt about it. TeeTee is a better actor as Duang, than Por as Qin. TeeTee is already such an adorable actor that I don’t think the drama needed to add extra cheesiness and sound effects. They should let TeeTee shine on his own. Duang is the greenest flag and I am fine with him having Qin as the center of his universe, since he’s young and this is a rom-com. However, I am not a fan of his stalkerish and persistent behavior (not a fan of this in general). But that’s his charm in this drama and I’ll look past that as well. I wish Qin would just give us a little more instead of a nonchalant bitchy look. I think this might have to do with Por’s acting as he’s quite new to the industry. I am glad to see him slowly open up and really grow. Qin has the biggest character growth, and I do enjoy that part of him. I also really like Duang’s friends, Jamie and Pae. They are fun, chaotic and true friends of Duang. They stuck by him during his stalkerish pursuit (and explain when he could cross the line) and call him out when he’s out of line. Although they weren’t hopeful that Duang will win Qin’s heart, they accept his ‘unique stupidity’ and cheer him on. One of the best scenes of this friend group was when they were singing “Do Do Re Mi” when they sneaked into the Music Department. I actually laughed out loud at their silliness! Duang’s family is also hilarious. We can totally see where he got his personality.
Main Romance:
Even though I might not agree 100% on the persistent pursuit, I do think it takes a Duang to break down the walls that Qin put up. This is a classic case of opposites attracting and complementing each other. I would have loved to see more scenes of Qin being jealous and pouty, instead of bitchy and indifferent. This is actually quite a slow burn romance. It took them forever to get to the ‘talking stage’. I’m an old lady, and I have no idea what a ‘talking stage’ is. At first, I thought it’s like flirting and seeing each other, but not actually dating. Kinda like the some some relationship in K-dramas. But Qin and Duang did more than talking and flirting, and it got intimate and also calling each other partners (not lovers or boyfriends). I guess that’s how young people define relationships these days and I have a lot to learn! Although I love their real kiss scenes, I got beef with those supposed cheek kisses. The lips never touch the cheek. It’s a nose kiss! Many might love the intimate scenes, I am in the minority. I am glad that the drama doesn’t shy away from telling us Duang and Qin are not virgins and are horny young men. But the director doesn’t seem to be able to pick between sweet and sensual intimate scenes, or sexual and horny. In the end, the actors did their best, but the intimate scenes feel confusing and indecisive. But to end on a positive note, I really love the last scene at Freshy Night when Qin was on stage at Freshy Night. The lyrics of the song, paired with flashbacks, brought tears down my cheeks. That was a great ending to recap everything that happened in the last year.
Secondary Romance:
Jamie and Marvis could have been such an interesting and contrasting romance to Duang and Qin’s. They are sexier, flirtier and have such sizzling chemistry. Yet, not enough time is dedicated to their sexy beginning, and how they might be falling for each other. Their interaction lacks depth, even though they make such a good-looking couple. I wish they were given more time instead of all the fillers we get.
Production:
The drama does look pretty. With nice big apartments and houses, some interesting and unique clothing choices for Qin and Marvis. They also have money to go to Japan! I’m glad the characters are not always in their university white shirts, but also have some cool casual wear. Since it’s a Thai drama, there are product placements, too much lipstick (though thank goodness not bright pink). Lastly, I want to applaud the OST. This drama has really great and lovely songs, sung by the cast. I got the OST playing while I’m writing this review.
Do I recommend “Duang With You”? Only if you fit what I listed in those 4 categories above. This is a young romantic-comedy with a lot of cheesiness and fluffiness. It’s not for everyone. But if you can get past that, it’s a story of how two opposites attract and complement each other is the best possible way. I just wish the drama is a lot shorter, and edited in a way to tighten the storylines and give more screen time to others that are not the leads.

An overhyped script that leverages on actors' popularity for advertisements.
An unbelievably childish and old-school plots in this 21st century drama.Seems like the TV station is putting huge investments into paying the actors, costumes, the magnificent backdrop and scenery rather than giving the audience a well-directed story.
Even the PPLs are over the top - it's ridiculous to see that they forced scenes into the drama just to sell a sandwich chain, and i think we'll be seeing more PPLs as the drama progresses.
Many of the scenes don't really make sense and to me, it just seems like they are just leveragjng on the actors' popularity to drive the ratings and bringing in the advertisements. It's no wonder there are now so many negative criticisms from the Korean viewers themselves.
It's a also a pity that too much comedy is built into a magnificent monarchy story setting which I didnt find the comedy funny at all.
Even the main actors' acting leans in more on cheesy side which makes immersion hard.
Will only recommend to watch if you like looking at beautiful objects or if you are fans of the actors or have nothing else to watch.
