Sweet historical series

How sweet how they created this 1970s historical political series. How difficult it would have been to be living in those times in China. A learning experience to watch this series and the creators were able to make this as sweet and realistic as possible with the hardships of those times. Watching the main leads together was a gem.

One Night Binge, No Regrets

This was one of the best series I’ve seen so far. The action starts right from the beginning and keeps going. The boxing scenes were really good, and the way they trained felt real, like how it actually happens. It was very interesting to watch.

I really liked the story and how everything was shown. The ending was satisfying and felt complete. Nothing was missing for me. The action scenes were very well done and exciting.

I also loved the relationships between the characters. Their bond and support for each other was inspiring and nice to see.

It was so good that I finished it in one night. Overall, it’s a full package with action, emotion, and great story.
Easy 10/10 for me.

A Compelling Story, Lost in Its Own Choices

I started watching this drama because of the second leads.

This series promises a rich narrative, but it quickly becomes unbalanced. The male lead is introduced as strong and authoritative, yet fades when it matters most, while the female lead takes over major confrontations in a way that feels unearned.

Her victories over highly trained soldiers lack credibility. These are disciplined, powerful figures, yet they fall too easily. If her success relied on intelligence or strategy, it would feel justified—but relying on physical strength alone weakens the story’s logic.

Her characterization adds to the issue. She acts recklessly, ignores rules, and faces no real consequences, removing tension from the narrative. At the same time, her identity feels contradictory—a butcher’s daughter living in a harsh, violent environment, yet portrayed as overly gentle without meaningful exploration of that contrast.

It is also unrealistic how quickly she rises to a high military rank and gains direct access to the emperor without proper development.

The male lead suffers from inconsistency as well. As a high-ranking officer, he should act with discipline, yet he behaves impulsively—discovering the female lead in her village in danger, pursuing her with part of his army, treating her, and letting her escape. His reaction to the emperor’s order is rude and careless, and even after returning to the capital without a summons, his actions remain erratic. His harsh treatment of the uncle who raised him is especially difficult to justify.

Despite this, the strongest moments in the series are during their time in the village, where the story feels more natural and believable.

Ironically, the real strength lies in the secondary characters—especially the second male lead. His cold and harsh personality feels authentic. His past is not merely a dramatic backstory—it is a living explanation for who he is. With a father lost to violence, a mother who burned and sacrificed herself to protect him, and a childhood spent among enemies, his emotional detachment feels real and earned.

In the end, I must say it was still enjoyable to watch this drama, especially with so many charismatic and visually appealing actors.

It’s a must watch GL drama

Affair is an absolute standout drama that delivers on every emotional level. The chemistry between the female leads is невероятно strong you can feel the tension, affection, and connection in every scene they share. It’s the kind of chemistry that feels natural and completely believable, which makes the story even more engaging. The kisses and romantic scenes are beautifully done intense, heartfelt, and genuinely captivating without feeling forced. Every moment between them feels meaningful and adds depth to their relationship. On top of that, both female leads give incredible performances. Their acting is powerful, emotional, and nuanced, bringing their characters to life in such a compelling way. They perfectly capture both the vulnerability and strength of their roles. Overall, it’s a must watch if you’re looking for a drama with amazing chemistry, strong performances, and unforgettable romantic moments. Now its the second time i am watching it

Boyfriend on Demand is such a fun and feel good romance !!

Boyfriend on Demand is such a fun and feel good romance that completely pulls you in from the start. The chemistry between the main characters is natural and exciting, making every interaction enjoyable to read. What really stands out is how the story balances lighthearted, playful moments with genuine emotional depth it’s not just a typical romance, it actually makes you care about the characters and their growth. The pacing is smooth, the dialogue feels real, and there are plenty of moments that will make you smile (and maybe even swoon a little). It’s the kind of book you can easily binge in one sitting because you just need to know what happens next. Overall, it’s a charming, uplifting read that’s perfect if you’re looking for something romantic, entertaining, and comforting. Definitely worth picking up if you love modern love stories.

Season 2 did NOT disappoint.

Season 2 did not disappoint me at all. I didn’t plan to binge all 7 episodes in one sitting, but it just happened before I even realized it.

There were so many fights and so much blood — honestly, it was a bit too intense for one watch. But I won’t lie, I really enjoyed it.

I think the writing was excellent, and the pacing of the story was handled in a very engaging and effective way.

The characters were written beautifully. Geon U has had my heart since season 1. As strong and intimidating as he is during fights, deep down he’s such a soft, loving “mama’s boy” who truly cares about his family and the people he loves. He’s full of warmth, and it’s so refreshing to see a character like that on screen. And let’s not even start on how incredibly good-looking he is. Woo Do-hwan did an amazing job once again as Geon U — his acting never disappoints me. He’s truly one of the best.

Of course, U Jin is also a very well-written character, both in season 1 and season 2. The friendship between Geon U and U Jin is honestly one of my all-time favorites. They are literally brothers, and no one can convince me otherwise. Every scene with them melted my heart — especially when U Jin calls Geon U’s mother his own. Their bond was so heartwarming. And as always, Lee Sang-yi delivered a great performance.

Moving on to the new characters this season — Rain completely surprised me. He did an incredible job making me hate his character with every fiber of my being. The only other drama I’ve seen him in was Full House (2004), and the difference between the characters is insane. I was really impressed with him here. He played a truly great villain for this story.

Yun Tae Geom completely stole my heart the moment he switched to the right side… and then the worst happened with his tragic death. That moment made me hate Baek Jeong even more. My heart broke for him, and especially for his little daughter left behind.

There isn’t much negative I can say about this drama. However, it’s definitely not for everyone, and I do think season 1 was better overall in terms of storyline and execution. But that doesn’t take away from the quality and the great work done in this season.

I’m usually a romance girl, so it’s actually surprising how much I loved this drama.

A truly great drama.

Thriller Masterpiece

This drama is mind blowing from beginning till the end. I couldn't predict what was happening at all and the fact that they continued to make us doubt the daughter in the father's pov was brilliant (although i kinda went soft for her near ep9-10 lol). It's probably a bit difficult to follow though if you miss any details or fact so i would say that's the flaw along with some tiny plot hole. I had to continuously recall scenes because they were somewhat connected. It's almost like i was trying to be a detective to at some point hahaha.

The story is very complex, there were times when i hated the father and even blamed Habin, that's how you know they made it well. I was so immersed lol. Female detective was high key annoying there were times i wished she wasn't in the show but she was kind of needed. Soft male detective also irked me at times because of how his softness was sometimes ruining his judgement and decision making. All the characters were necessary. Heavy scenes were directed very well, I really sympathized with Taesu and his acting is so subtle yet so loud i enjoyed it.

The reason why I gave this a 9 rating has to do heavily with the last episode. I loved it so much. Especially that line when her father asked Habin if she really killed her younger brother. I had to give the writer a standing ovation for that scene alone. Taesu did exactly the oppposite of what Habin's mother did. He asked her instead of continuing his suspicion and it was healing to see Habin breakdown. To see her being accepted and her, knowing that she was accepted was such a relief for me. I am glad that they gave this drama a happy ending because otherwise it would kind of become a cliche. It's refreshing to see a psychotic daughter actually not be the evil person in the end.

Acting wise, all the cast delivered. But i'd have to give it to Taesu and Chae Wonbin for their excellent performance. I'm very surprised at how good Chae Wonbin is despite being a very new rookie. She nailed the role so well. Really looking forward to her future works.

Pretty great show

Pretty great show. Very interesting characters with 3 big arcs. Kept the story pretty tight without suffering with the heavily used plot filler that happens in a lot of dramas. Even the 2 guys that had a crush on the FL they didn't have them being the overly annoying 3rd wheel or the one that tries to force the FL to choose them. Sure there's 2 points in the show with sky plot armor moments but didn't deduct from the overall show

A "Siren" Who Forgot to Sing

Why is she called a Siren when she refuses to use any of her abilities to charm her way into the world and push people away constantly? When I first started watching this drama, I thought it was incredibly underrated and had the potential to be one of the top shows of the year. However, as the episodes progressed, my attention and love for the series began to fade.
First of all, there was no need for it to be twelve episodes long or released on a weekly schedule. This drama had the scope of an eight-episode binge-watch and nothing more. Returning weekly makes viewers want to drop it because the payoff doesn't feel worth the wait. Twelve episodes felt like too much for this specific plot, so the writers added unnecessary filler to bridge the gaps, only to wrap it all up with a predictable killer and anticlimactic ending
Given the title Siren's Kiss, I expected the female lead to be an enchanting, "siren-like" figure who used her wit and charm to make men succumb to her. Instead, she was portrayed as a traumatized victim whom men flocked to out of pity. It would have been a much better twist if she actually were the killer; sirens are supposed to be mystical, beautiful, and deadly, but we mostly watched her in a state of perpetual fear and anxiety for twelve episodes straight.
As for the main couple, their chemistry feels like a 50/50 split. In some scenes, the acting feels forced and lacks passion, while in others, they look great together—especially in the kissing scenes. It feels like the "chemistry" comes mostly from the fact that they are two very attractive people rather than a deep, natural connection.
The side characters were also quite frustrating. From the sister and the police officers to her coworkers, almost everyone except the leads felt like "rage-bait." Then there is the killer—who didn't clock that? From episode one, it was the most obvious person. Why choose them? The comment sections were full of people calling it early on. Making the female lead the villain would have provided the "gag" the show desperately needed. Instead, every "reveal" felt flat. Whenever the crimes pointed to her, it was only used as a cheap cliffhanger for the next episode, only to be resolved immediately with no real tension.
Overall, the drama has a decent storyline that is easy to follow and a good-looking cast, but the villains are average. It isn't special enough to go out of your way for, but it’s not a complete waste of time either. They could have done more, but in the end, they did an "okay" job. Not bad, not great—just okay.

Stunning Visuals Can’t Save a Shallow, Frustrating Script

This drama is breathtakingly beautiful. From the cinematography to the cast and the hauntingly good OST, the production value is top-tier. At the start, the romance was admirable and genuinely hooked me, but unfortunately, the plot eventually went downhill due to unnecessary drama.

The writing fails its own characters. The show could have been a powerful exploration of the Rong family’s internal conflicts, but instead, every major issue is resolved "cheaply." Forgiving the grandmother because she supposedly had "no choice" was a massive missed opportunity; she had the potential to be a brilliantly infuriating villain.

Furthermore, while Shanbao is clearly an intellectual, her lack of EQ makes her "kindness" feel forced. Having her forgive everyone didn't feel like growth—it felt dumb because nothing was actually resolved. The characters just suddenly turned nice to her for the sake of the plot. The final straw for me was Yunshu: she deserved a sincere apology from the grandmother, yet she was the one who ended up apologizing. I nearly fainted from the sheer lack of logic!

I only made it to Episode 30 because of the initial romance and the high budget. While the political stunts were enjoyable, they weren't enough to save the lackluster writing. If you’re planning to watch, honestly? Watch until Episode 12 and save yourself the headache.

Sweet, heartwarming series with Jimmy & Sea

PLOT: An ICU doctor [who hates fortune tellers], Dr. Thapfah, meets Inthu, a fortune teller friend of his sister. Inthu tries to warn him of deadly dangers, but Thapfah refuses to listen. Inthu comes to Thapfah's rescue several times, and Thapfah is eventually convinced and agrees to take refuge with him in the countryside. Step by step, Thapfah helps Inthu overcome his sadness, with respect and care. However, danger is always lurking.

+++ Initially unconvinced, I was swept away by this lovely love story. Thapfah is so Green Flag, caring, respectful... adorable. I really love the chemistry that Jimmy and Sea created, with their obvious connection.
+++ The cast includes a bunch of veteran and talented actors.
+++ Realistic story, without too many clichés. Effective execution, with a good balance of romance and suspense.

### The secondary romance is rushed. The couple is endearing but has too little screen time.
### The explanations for Karn's behavior are childish, which is usual in dramas. Jealousy can make you hate someone, but to want to kill them?? If that were true in real life, there wouldn't be many humans left on Earth ლಠ益ಠ)ლ ლಠ益ಠ)ლ

=> A healing BL, optimistic, humanist, and comforting [and we really need that these days :) ]

Sweet, heartwarming series with Jimmy & Sea

REGRETTABLE WATCH

I binged this in like a twenty four hour period(fast forwarding some parts of the side stories and such of course) it was okay. I really was waiting for the happy ending cuz i saw someone in the comments say that there was one. I would not say this is a happy ending for anyone who hasnt watched and is wanting one. They do not end up together. Yea after like 12 years of not seeing each other because they cannot be together they show the ending scene of someone covering her with an umbrella and we know its gonma be him...but like okay? Can they be together now? What happens if they say "i like you" cuz they werent able to say that previously. Maybe since its present day they can and nothing happens? And why on Gods green earth didnt she just call the police since the beginning to get the bad guys in jail so the dude didnt die??!! Like that was the biggest loophole of the century. It made no sense whatsoever. Also why were there no more messages for her to delete from the phone? If she knew that was how she was going back to the past why didnt she send more messages each time she went back?! Did none of the writers think of this?? And I was waiting for a kiss thr whole friggin show and they literally did not have a single one. I think one time she dreamed that he kissed her and in the dream they pressed lips for like 2 seconds. Im sorry but all that build up for them to not even end up together?! I feel like i just wasted my time. I regret watching it. I read that the movie they made gave us a happy ending but we shouldnt habe to watch a whole other movie to get a happy ending to a series... this show was too friggin sad. And i hate that other commenter who said it was a happy ending thats the whole reason i watched it....UGH

Rainbow Team, assemble!

Kim Do Gi returns with the rainbow taxi crew to address the grievances of wronged individuals seeking vengeance. One case after another opens up more on the background of some of the crews.

The very first episode came out with an explosion (literally) of the rainbow team in action overseas. This show just moved up a few notches from my expectation. And mind you, my expectation is pretty high after the remarkable and successful Season 1 and 2. One of the things that i quit expecting from kdramas is actors being able to speak comprehensible English, even if their characters were supposed to be brought up or lived overseas for decades. Most kdramas have failed miserably at this so i quit putting my hopes up for it. Taxi Driver S3 managed to break this expectation by becoming the second show that managed to have actors speak not only comprehensible but also fluent english. It is understandable if only the main actor poured his heart and soul to learn speak english, but even the support roles played their cards well and managed to pull this off. I actually didnt need the subs to understand their english 🤯

Kim Do Gi not only displayed his good English, but also very dramatic Japanese, speaking like how i heard those anime characters speak when my son was on the tv. 😂 Reminds me of my favourite General Oki from the movie Kingdom a lot. I noticed they even hired a Malaysian extra and let him speak Malay in one of the episodes. There’s also a korean character who spoke Tagalog, although I can’t comment on how fluent he was, to an untrained ear i thought he spoke well (maybe with a little foreign accent) Kudos to the the team for making this multi-lingual feat work amazingly well. Your effort is extremely commendable.

As usual, i highly anticipate to see brilliant action choreograph and season 3 did not disappoint. Honestly I can’t get enough of Taxi Driver i hope they would franchise it like western shows, they can go over season 10 and people will still want to watch.

In every season, Kim Do Gi’s undercover personalities always cracks me up, this time the crew also went along rather than them doing behind the scene works. Love Go Eun’s style at going after the online scammers. Oh man 16 episodes are too short. Please don’t take up too long to do season 4 😓🥺 we want more!

ML was fantastic. FL was not good at all.

This show has so much potential. FL was just a fluffy, immature annoying character. Not her fault but it’s a lot to do with her voice. Can’t take her seriously at all because of it. It ruined any serious or emotional scenes that she was in.
ML was mature and played his part well. if he had been paired up with someone else this could have been a much better show.
The story was good. But was best suited for a younger audience. Mature adults will find this a tad fluffy. And this show wasn’t meant to be fluffy, so it left me feeling confused on how to feel for this.
Perhaps 20-somethings will like this better than adults in my age bracket (40-somethings)
