The most cowardly and pathetic character of all time
Double Helix achieved a feat I haven't seen in a long time: creating a boring protagonist with a "poor me" syndrome who spends the entire series lamenting, crying, and moping around. It becomes truly impossible to root for the main couple when Yi Chen spends the whole plot making one stupid decision after another.
The story has potential and is captivating, but the problem is a lack of editing and a lack of vision from the series' writer and director in condensing the story into an engaging narrative, cutting the excesses, and better balancing the emotions conveyed in the scenes.
The series has countless time jumps at key moments that could have been used to develop the characters, and this takes a tremendous amount of weight away from the series.
The number of times they break up, fight or have someone or something appear to separate them becomes boring and anticlimactic.
At times, the series becomes so rigid and dense that the plot drags. It’s 40 minutes of screaming, characters crying, musical sequences with someone making a pitiful face in the rain, and so on.
I understand that the series tried to adapt their entire story but it was unnecessary. At a certain point, it feels like they are just inventing tragedies and problems so the series can have a few more episodes.
And that makes the ending unbearable. The entire plotline regarding Lu Feng's bipolar disorder is excellent, had it been better developed rather than shoved into the final episode.
There are great points in the series: the secondary couple is excellent—but they are sidelined and don't get the spotlight or the development they need—, the acting are great, the cinematography is beautiful, and the chemistry between the actors is undeniable.
But it lacked direction, editing, and the ability to balance the series with more interesting characters and a more dynamic plot that treated mental health issues with greater seriousness.
A good BL that gets lost within its own plot.

The Show Fails in Execution But the Actors deliver!!
A woman will literally do anything when she decides to seek revenge!!Chen Du Ling has been recently making waves with her lead roles. From “Fangs of Fortune” to the recently concluded “Veil of Shadows”, she has shown enormous growth as a refined actress. So, I was expecting great things when I watched the trailer for this show. For most parts, the show delivers; of course, it heavily leans on Chen Du Ling’s acting talents. Most of her earlier roles had a seductive tone to it, so this was my first time watching Chen Du Ling portray a serious character. Their political outmaneuvering, a lot of plotting and scheming that embodies Chen Du Ling’s character. She does it with elan and an unmatched sophistication. The antagonists are pretty hefty, though quite exhausting. You almost feel sorry for Chu Zhao, as she tries to protect the empire from falling apart, not because of enemy invasion, but from inner court politics. There is a lot at stake and the poor woman needs to manage the frontier troops while arguing with courtiers who don’t want a woman at the helm. Chu Zhao does it all and some more!!

Unstoppable Chemistry, Unhinged Comedy, and a Faceplant at the Finish Line
The drama kicks off with brilliant momentum, serving up a lot of laughs as the Joseon-era heroine attempts to navigate the bewildering modern world. She is delightfully unhinged, wonderfully chaotic, and completely steals every scene she's in. Naturally, the electric chemistry between the two leads is a major highlight, keeping me thoroughly invested in their dynamic.I really wanted to give it a higher rating, but unfortunately, the show completely stumbles at the ending. The bizarre finale attempts a messy, parallel-timeline gimmick that fails to connect its narrative dots, leaving behind a rushed and unexplained backstory.

When Justice Fails, How Far Would You Go?
I only intended to find a series I could casually leave running in the background while doing other things. Instead, The Evil Lawyer completely grabbed my attention and refused to let go.This Thai legal thriller follows Mek, a young lawyer whose faith in the justice system is shattered after he is framed for murder. Forced to work alongside the infamous Jittri, a defence lawyer known for manipulating loopholes and bending the rules, he finds himself confronting corruption at every level of society. Together, they navigate a series of interconnected cases that gradually expose a much larger conspiracy involving politicians, judges, police officers, and powerful criminal networks.
What I loved most about this drama is its refusal to deal in simple black-and-white morality. The story constantly challenges viewers to ask difficult questions. If the legal system is corrupt, should people still follow the rules? If innocent lives are being destroyed, can unethical methods ever be justified? As someone who has become quite jaded with the justice system in my own country, I found myself surprisingly sympathetic to Jittri's philosophy. Sometimes the "good guys" feel like they have no choice but to fight dirty against people who abuse their power.
The characters are one of the drama's biggest strengths. Nobody is completely innocent, and nobody is entirely evil. Every character carries emotional scars, personal motivations, and moral compromises. Jittri's team was especially fascinating because she intentionally surrounds herself with people society often dismisses as troublemakers and outcasts. Beneath those labels, however, are intelligent people who have survived injustice and understand how the real world works.
The performances are excellent, particularly from Ying Rhatha Phongam and Nat Kitcharit. Both bring emotional depth and authenticity to their roles, making their characters' struggles feel believable and compelling. Kob Songsit Roongnophakunsri also deserves praise as Anan. His calm and controlled portrayal makes him far more intimidating than a loud, over-the-top villain ever could.
The finale is absolutely wild. The twists kept coming, the stakes escalated dramatically, and several revelations genuinely caught me off guard. Even after the supposed climax, the story continues to surprise, leaving enough unanswered questions to make a second season feel necessary.
My only small issue is that eight episodes felt a little longer than needed for the story being told. It never felt slow or boring, but I do think the premise could have worked equally well as a shorter series or perhaps a two-part film. Still, the pacing remains strong, and every episode contributes something meaningful.
Overall, The Evil Lawyer is an entertaining, thought-provoking legal thriller that combines social commentary, moral ambiguity, strong performances, and unexpected twists. If you're looking for something darker and more mature than the usual romance-heavy dramas, this one is well worth your time.

golden retriever
I loved Jeong-woo’s golden retriever energy. I also really appreciated the mental health aspect. it went on too long, in my opinion. I wish it had wrapped up on episode 14. also why are there SO MANY drunken scenes? unnecessary, slow, didn’t add to the plot. ///////////////////////////////////////I loved Jeong-woo’s golden retriever energy. Am I crazy or was this actually good?
I am a huge RAMPAGE fan, but I generally don't go into the members' acting projects expecting ~actual cinema~ because the majority of the time they aren't. Similarly, I went into this fully anticipating to turn my brain off and just marvel at the novelty of having Kazuma, Riku, and Hokuto in one project together, so imagine my surprise when I actually got invested in each of the stories, brain on and all!Maybe I was predisposed to like this because I enjoy a good omnibus, but I found the atmosphere of this movie super immersive and I appreciated how there wasn't too much set-up or exposition - we're kind of tossed in the middle of everything and the characters are just able to exist and reveal parts of themselves in natural ways. It was a little grungy and cinematic, but in a way that wasn't overly pretentious. And while I watched this for my boys and their performances were great, it was the actresses who really brought things together. It's honestly hard to choose which of the three segments was my favorite, but I'm a bit partial to the one with Kazuma because of my mother Sakai Maki featuring in it!!
It's not doing anything particularly new or deep, but it still resonated with me and stands as proof that even projects full of idols in their cast can hold their own sometimes. Highly recommend if you're a RAMPAGE fan like me and even if you aren't!

Great Music
Glass Heart is the journey of a band as its members grow in artistry and sense of self. Music is integral to how the members learn to appreciate their differences as they pursue the common goal of creating meaningful music together. The actors fully commit to their roles and convincingly portray musicians, bringing enough aspiration and inspiration to fill the series with heart and joy.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Nostalgic at best
Beginning was a bit difficult to watch since it took so long to build up the plot, but with IU's solid acting it was a solid hit by ep 3.Cried my eyes out on almost all episodes and will recommend to others.
Decided to travel to Jeju after watching this to go swimming in the sea
Does anyone know if its available elsewhere other than Netflix?

Chen Si could Act next to a Potato and make it shine
This is a Republican era retelling of the Guo Fen Ye storyline. What sets it apart is the spicy spice chemistry between the leads: Chen Si and Liu Xi Yu. Im not discounting the FL but I'm pretty sure Chen Si could make a drama where the other lead was a potato and still make it amazing. I also liked the portrayal of the brothers ex-fiance and the god-mother. In most of the other versions I felt their characters were too, two dimensional and served no other purpose other than to drive the plot. While I understand it needs a certain aspect of that because its a short and a vertical drama, i feel the characters didn't get justice or their time to shine. It was nice seeing that glimmer here. Overall, it was done very well although I would have liked more progression and development of their relationship but hey... it's a short. It needs to be... short.
Se você for assistir, prepara o lenço, porquê vai precisa.

Cool fight scenes
Very cool swordplay choreography and engaging political intrigue. I will always love a fight-to-the-death survival genre, and the production quality and set design are really goodI do think, however, that this didn't turn out to be as interesting as I hoped? There are a LOT of characters, some of which I cared more about than others, and even though there are only 6 episodes, the pacing actually feels pretty slow; between fight scenes there's some long conversations and aimless walking to the next place.
I'll still be tuning into season 2 though, and I hope we have a big confrontation and more political mystery.

Elite bromance that carries a silly but fun plot
Midnight Runners is the definition of pure entertainment. If you are here for the main actors, you will not be disappointed. The absolute highlight of this movie is the incredible dynamic between Park Seo-joon and Kang Ha-neul. Their bromance, natural banter, and comedy timing are elite, and they easily carry the entire film.Plot-wise, you have to turn off your brain a little bit. Some moments are quite silly, unrealistic, and the tone shifts between dark crime and goofy comedy rather quickly. However, if you don't take it too seriously, it's an incredibly fun ride. It's not a deep masterpiece, but the charm of the cast makes it totally worth watching. A very fair 7/10 for the amazing vibes and laughs!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

I love yinwar but…
love them down okay, but I just CANT bring myself to finish this series. AT ALL. I hate when something is tagged as “dubious content” but in actuality there’s nothing dubious about it, this is just sexual assault. lowkey it’s my fault because I already know I don’t like anything where the consent is iffy, but I looked past that since I love yinwar. BITCH I SHOULDVE STUCK TO WHAT I KNOW. I’m irked 😒then don’t even get me started on Vee, this nigga SUCKS. and come to think of it, MARK GOOFY ASS IS IRRITATING TOO. whole show just pissed me off and I only got 4 eps in. mfs on tiktok really hyped this up, and I get it since it’s yinwar but oh my godddddd. I can’t. my head hurts.
