dont understand the rating

I genuinely don't understand the low ratings this show is receiving on here. The Divorce Insurance is a perfect 10/10 for me, serving as a highly enjoyable, grounded, and mature slow-burn rom-com. It feels like a lot of viewers are unfairly judging the drama based on their own personal expectations rather than appreciating its upfront, honest, and realistic storytelling. its not different in anyway but it doesnt need to be its perfect the way it is.

10/10 So heartwarming and cute

10/10 So heartwarming and cute
I loved this movie so much. Not only is the movie it self good, but the soundtrack is beautiful! My favorite song from the entire soundtrack and movie would have to be the title track Wish You. The way the movie is emotional and some points, heartwarming, cute, and amazing with an incredible story line and plot is mind blowing. The last 10 minutes had me crying, kicking my feet with joy, and screaming out of happiness. I don't know how to react to this happiness! ! recommend this so much to anyone who wants to watch a cute romance story with character and development. This movie gave me butterflies on some parts of how cute it was.
I'm for sure rewatching and am currently looking for movies similar to this.

Did we ask for too much?

From episode 1 to middle of episode 10, this drama is absolutely perfection. I loved a strong heroine which is kind of new of kdrama, at least less shown. I loved how KDS is full of life and determination. I admired her tenacity. On the other hand, CSG is just a perfection version of Male lead written by females. He is supposed to be ruthless but soon we saw how he became a looser for KD. KDS is baddiest of all baddies and CSG is the most looser MLs of all MLs. Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun have the best chemistry as bickering couples. I really enjoyed all of their scenes. My other favourite characters are Yoon Jihyo, Baek Gwang Nam and Mo Tae Hee.
Now the spoilers section:
Things I love:
1. Obviously the chemistry between the leads. Even their BTS can be watched for multiple times. The drama is very generous about the screentime the lead characters got. I can list at least 100 scenes. Their dialogues are also silly and goofy.
2. Female characters. I loved the character development of two SFLs, Yoon Jihyo and Mo Tae hee. Both characters irritated me a lot but both are also endearing. Even with minimal screentime, their characters still shone. Also the actresses did great job.
Things I dislike:
1.From middle of episode 10 to middle of 14. The dram just lost its charm. The scene between FL and ML just felt like fillers.
2. The restaurent subplot. The grandma is so old that she can't run the restaurent at all. So why not sell it or let others take care of it? I loved the grandma from the beginning but soon her scenes just became skip worthy or I felt bored. Also they could've reduce the screentime for this character.
3. The villains. CMD is just the dumbest villain in kdrama history I guess. He is just desperate. Like every single bad thing is done by him but still it takes 14 episodes to arrest him. The police are also dumb like him. Also CSG's family is also full of dumb characters. CSG's grandpa knows CMD's true colors but what does he do to save CSG? Nothing. Just agitates CMD to make him go crazier. Also the aunts are there for absolutely nothing. Even if there are removed from the drama, nothing is changed.
4. THE BODY SWAP/REINCARNATION STORYLINE:
Well, CSG is a reincarnation of Yi Hyeon so why not make SSR also reincarnation of KDS. In episode 13, it is revealed that KDS IS NOT KDS, She is actually the OG SSR whose soul got swaped with KDS when they were 12 years old. SSR was a great actress and after the swap she lost her acting ability. Also she is the OG Granddaughter that grandma needs. Like seriously !!! OG KDS or Fake SSR lived in 21st century from 12 years old which means she spent 18 years with grandma. She struggled in both Joseon and 21st century, still tried her level best. Now OG SSR gets to bid grandma farewell but what about the granddaughter who spent even a longer time? Also I kinda belive writers didn't make it simple reincarnation story as they didn't want to leave Yi Hyeon alone in the joseon era. But he loved OG SSR/KDS. Also KDS got might be just 2 minutes in the entire drama. She was mostly forgotten by the writers. KDS just seemed like a forgotten character or audience need to imagine on their own. Personally I think KDS and SSR were reincarnation of each other which is explained from the similar way of like. KDS was sold as a slave. SSR was almost killed by her parents. Both are very determined. Both loved grandma dearly. Both of them tried their best to cope with all the difficulties. In last episode Yi Hyeon and KDS are on a run. Poor girl never had her life easy. Eventually Yi Hyeon and KDS may fall in love. At least we know that CSG's preference. But KDS deserved more screentime.

never been so heartbroken before

nobody knows just how i ended up bawling at those last 15 minutes.

when you think that this story is loosely based on true events, you don't think so deeply on what's to come further - you just patiently sit, wait and watch.

the story is completely devastating, entirely heartbreaking but the sad reality of so many young, vulnerable children who are forced to grow up and mature in so many ways that you'd hope would never be the case.

watching the scene overlooking the airport nearing the ending, it just makes you realise that these children have not had the time to understand the true gravity of what it means to lose someone, physically and spiritually. their reaction made so much sense yet it pained me so much - i, knowing what loss is, having felt loss and understanding what it means but them - not truly having the ability to grasp what it means therefore not crying was just heartbreaking.

i would also like to point out how the film started with a close-up shot of akira's hands on top of the pink suitcase and nearing the end, we got another close-up shot of akira's hands, however, this time the suitcase was being buried underneath the ground and his small hands were dirty and trembling. those two parallels in themselves had me tearing up once more.

i went into this film not thinking much and i finished this film feeling a different type of sadness. it pains me and it always will to see children having to go through this - they're so vulnerable yet they adapt because they have to.

the child actors were formidable, the emotions they had an ability to evoke from an audience with often, very little dialogue was beautiful and something long-lasting.

i finally found the film that's joining baka's identity in terms of a movie i won't be able to stop thinking about for the next year or so.

(can't believe i chose this one to watch right after the constant gardener.)

"she was so cold. it felt awful."

that last shot with saki, kyoko, akira and shigeru and the empty space in the middle forced more tears to run down. I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE (this review is so long now).

Dear X is an absolute peak drama for the most part, delivering incredible tension, stellar acting, and a captivating storyline that keeps you hooked from the very beginning. However, I didn’t like the last two episodes much. For a show of this high caliber, the ending fell a bit flat. With these types of intense psychological thrillers, the conclusion really should be big, grand, and highly impactful to fully match the momentum built up throughout the series. Despite the slightly underwhelming finale, it remains a fantastic watch.

Brilliant Premise Wasted by Clichés

A fascinating premise completely let down by weak writing and endless repetition. After watching the first two episodes, I genuinely thought I had found my next favorite kdrama. The story felt fresh, exciting, and full of potential.

Little did I know that excitement wouldn't last long. What started as a unique and intriguing story quickly became weighed down by overused K-drama tropes like amnesia, past-life connection and other predictable plot devices.
The show started with a bang but lost momentum far too quickly.. I genuinely couldn't find a reason to keep watching.

Another problem for me was the lack of chemistry between Rowoon and Kim Hye-yoon. No matter how many scenes they shared, I felt absolutely nothing. Their relationship felt flat, which made it hard to stay invested in the story. Ironically, the second lead couple was far more compelling and had much better chemistry.

And don't even get me started on Baek Kyung. He wasn't a misunderstood bad boy he was simply toxic, with serious anger issues that made him difficult to watch.

I can forgive a slow or boring plot if the main leads have enough chemistry to keep me emotionally invested. But when both the story and the romance fail to connect, there's just no reason for me to continue watching.

Incredible Addition to The Lost Tomb Universe

This drama has action, heart, and interesting lore that keeps you engaged all the way through. The relationships between the leads make an otherwise mystery/action-centered drama into one that stirs the soul.

Ding Yuxi and Steven Zhang carry this show on their backs as if it is light as a feather. They give standout performances that prove their abilities and their perfect casting. I look forward to their future projects.

I would give this a 10/10 if only for the small, yet necessary moments where plot and background are mostly just told to us instead of shown. It was usually quick, but did take me out slightly.

A charming love story that lost its way

The drama starts strong, drawing you in from the beginning.. But somewhere along the way, writers forgot it actually needed a story till the end.
Don’t get me wrong, Jo Hojin and Cha Muhee had amazing chemistry. Their scenes together felt warm, natural, and comforting, and Kim Seon-ho once again proved he can generate butterflies just by staring sadly into the distance. The romance worked. The problem is… the story kept running in circles.

After Jo Hojin and Cha Muhee confessed their feelings, the drama practically stopped evolving. The misunderstandings that followed felt like meaningless back-and-forth added only to stretch the plot, not deepen it. There was no big obstacle standing between them, emotional tension was not strong enough to make you desperately root for their reunion. Honestly, the drama should’ve ended around episode 10.

And Muhee… girl, PLEASE stop beginning for love. The drama keeps telling us she feels unlovable, which is a very real and relatable fear, but the way it was written became exaggerated “alter ego” situation. I kept wondering: is this meant to represent a real psychological condition? Is she bipolar? We do get some answers in the last episode but they were vague as well.

And Jo Hojin deserved to have a story of his own. Despite being the male lead, it feels like we barely know him because the entire narrative revolves around Muhee & her alter ego.

Also I’m sorry but the second lead couple did absolutely nothing for me. Their storyline felt soo dense and disconnected that half the time it seemed like they were only there to fill episode runtime.

Overall, the drama is watchable and has some genuinely sweet moments. But despite all the emotional buildup, it somehow leaves almost no lasting impact.

It's not reinventing the wheel, but I loved this drama!

It's lighthearted and fun, and I feel it's best to go into it expecting something easy to watch. If you go in expecting a super serious drama about snowboarding, you're going to be disappointed. This is my third Esther Yu drama which I guess is why her voice didn't really bother me that much but I know that's a common complaint. She is doing what she does best: acting cute and a little pathetic, lol.

But for Wei Zhi, I think it works perfectly. She still is able to hold her own and retain her independence (especially when it comes to standing up for her dream and what she wants to do with her life) and I thought it matched Shan Chong really nicely! This was my first time encountering Lin Yi and I ended up falling in love with how he portrayed Shan Chong. He appears outwardly grump and prickly, but he undoubtedly falls first AND harder for Wei Zhi.

I appreciated that no conflict lasted for too long, and even misunderstandings that I thought would be annoying or take up too much space were handled really seamlessly. It was exactly what I wanted from a fun easy-going drama, and the chemistry was so good!

My only real complaint is that the story did lag at some points, and I feel like we missed out on some development of plots & side plots with 13 episodes getting cut.

If a 11yo girl was asked to rewrite Twilight but plus furry cringe.

I was halfway through this drama when a friend asked how the show was going. I told them it was so bad that it's only hope was if it just got worse and worse and turned Good-Bad. But it never did turn into a Good-Bad, it just stayed Bad, and it's a bad drama.

So then maybe you'd be asking if that were the case, then why did I give it a 6? The actors, straight up. They all tried hard for this script, and they all did a great job of serving up this sh*tpile in a way that at least left me not really regretting the time I spent watching it. I love that Yuan Ye is getting more acting practice on these smaller projects because he has a magnetism that I think will take him far if he can improve at giving his roles depth and gravity. I hope to see his career blossom into something amazing in the future.

ML and FL are seasoned actors, and did great work. The script and direction were terrible, so they didn't have a lot to work with but they made do.

But the script itself was god-awful. To tell you about it would be to spoiler you, so I can't. But I will say this, if you are into A) Vampires B) Werewolves or C) Twilight, you will probably not appreciate what they have done here. How can I explain this without spoilering you.... I guess it's like if someone chewed up a hamburger, then reformed the chewed up burger in the shape of a hamburger and said, "It's basically the same thing." Read into that what you will.

Then there's the very very problematic furry undertones. And this I WILL spoiler you on, because you need to know what you're about to get into. So (WARNING MINOR-NOT-MINOR SPOILER AHEAD)....

...... Imagine a scene where a good-sized pair of [trying-as-hard-as-it-can] dog ears are blended as seamlessly as possible into ML's hair to make it look organic and natural (it doesn't). Mkay. And the scene is a "neon pink lighting and saxophone music" type scene, supposed to be "dreamy and steamy and romantic". And ML and FL are playing the attraction between them STRAIGHT. And FL is nibbling lustily on ML's fake dog ears.

Mkay.

I know there is a subsegment of c-drama society - a very very small one - that is into this kind of kink. If you are, then this is absolutely the show for you, 1000%. But if you are NOT into that kind of thing, this is a REALLY hard watch in several spots. It hits a cringe level I rarely see in c-dramas. I have seen so much cringe that I'm usually immune to the pain and just find it amusing. But this made me inwardly squirm in pain a few times that made me have to reevaluate if I could tolerate going on. And if I was overcome by the cringe, I can't imagine what a mere mortal with a lower tolerance would go through.

The plot itself is so ultra-simplistic that it feels juvenile. The dialogue between characters is just... it has no suave. It has no hotness. It has no sophistication, no subtlety, no poetry. Every "spicy" scene feels gratuitous and low-class. The whole show feels like a little seed of furry sleaze wrapped in seven layers of cotton candy and 'just kidding' campiness. It makes me inwardly shudder just thinking about it.

So as a fine-cheese connoisseur, I can't call this fine cheese, or even cheese at all. It's just pure cringe is what it is.

Literally the only reasons to watch are the following:
*You are into cringe
*You are into furry/dog/werewolf/wolf kink
*You are into Charles Lin
*You are into Hong Xiao
*You are into Yuan Ye ----> This is prophecy that one day he'll get big and people will want to go watch 'all his dramas' and wind up here on this page and I will say "I called it in 2026" and here is the proof.
*You need a show to torture someone with

So 6/10

Because A) The actors did well and B) It was mercifully short.

Huge fan of S1,S2, this feels just a so so

I love the first 2 seasons and really want the best happy ending for Yumi but this one felt like a 50% let-down.

I am just not convinced by the ML, the chemistry is just not there despite her best efforts Also my beloved Cells are just a tad bland this time round, though I will miss them the most and still hope for a spin-off.

Wasted a great cast on such nonsense

Don't bother wasting your time.

I regret believing all the online hype. It is easily the most disappointing series in years with terrible writing, directing, editing.

After the one-third mark, random things just happen without explanation. They keep setting up new plots, then forget about them, leaving more questions than answers with no satisfying pay off. So the whole thing feels very disjointed. Like a series of comedy sketches than a consistent drama from beginning to end.

Neither souls ends up with the Prince they fell in love with, yet expect the audience to believe in untrue love. Weirdest take on a romcom ever.

when emotional complexity loses to convention

The K2 delivers exactly what is expected from a high-budget action thriller: impressive action sequences, strong production values, a charismatic lead performance from Ji Chang-wook, and enough political intrigue to maintain interest throughout its run.

Where the drama becomes divisive is in its emotional direction.

The central issue is not necessarily the final pairing itself, but the imbalance between the emotional complexity developed throughout the story and the simplicity of its eventual resolution. Much of the drama's emotional weight is invested in layered character dynamics, only for the narrative to conclude with a romance that feels comparatively underdeveloped.

Yoo-jin stands out as the drama's most compelling character. She is powerful yet lonely, ambitious yet vulnerable, manipulative yet deeply human. Her contradictions create tension in nearly every scene, making her one of the most memorable figures in the series. Regardless of whether viewers sympathize with her, she consistently commands attention and drives emotional engagement.

Anna, by contrast, is written primarily as a character to be protected rather than as an equally active participant in the story. While her circumstances invite sympathy, her arc offers limited growth, agency, or emotional complexity compared to the surrounding characters. As a result, the central romance often feels less engaging than the political struggles and character conflicts that dominate the narrative.

The drama excels when exploring relationships shaped by loyalty, conflict, sacrifice, and unspoken emotional tension. These elements generate a level of depth that the primary romance never fully matches. Protection alone does not necessarily create a compelling romantic dynamic; emotional depth, agency, and meaningful character development are equally important.

One of the show's greatest strengths is its willingness to create morally complex characters. However, it sometimes appears uncertain about how to fully utilize the emotional richness it establishes. By the conclusion, the story seems to favor a safer and more conventional romantic route over a potentially more nuanced emotional resolution.

Despite these shortcomings, The K2 remains highly memorable. The action sequences are outstanding, Ji Chang-wook delivers a strong performance, and Song Yoon-ah provides one of the drama's most captivating portrayals.

Ultimately, The K2 succeeds brilliantly in creating emotional tension but struggles to resolve it with the same level of sophistication. The lingering impression is not disappointment over who ends up together, but a sense that the drama hinted at a deeper and more emotionally resonant story than the one it ultimately chose to tell.
