Soft at First, Heavy in the End

This is a fairly standard BL in structure, but it works well because of its characters and the balance between its two main couples.

The first couple, Wang Zhan and Tang Du Zhi, follows a classic enemies-to-lovers setup. Wang Zhan is the reluctant heir of a funeral company who is clearly unprepared for the responsibility and uncomfortable with death-related themes. Tang Du Zhi is his strict, emotionally distant trainer assigned to guide him for three months. Their relationship starts with tension and resistance, but gradually shifts into trust and emotional dependency.

What makes their dynamic work is the slow transition from conflict to understanding. It doesn’t rely only on attraction, but also on shared responsibility, vulnerability, and the gradual softening of Tang Du Zhi’s rigid personality. There is also a stronger emotional layer tied to Wang Zhan’s family situation, which adds weight to their storyline.

The second couple, Zhang Yi Qing and Tu Jing He, has a lighter tone but is emotionally more complicated in a different way. Their relationship starts from an unspoken crush and develops through misunderstandings, missed timing, and lack of communication. Both characters clearly care about each other but struggle to express it directly, which becomes the main source of conflict.Compared to the first couple, their story feels more grounded in everyday emotional realism rather than external drama. They are more impulsive and emotionally reactive, which leads to both tension and growth throughout the series.

Overall, the drama doesn’t try to reinvent the genre, but it is well-balanced. It combines romance, family pressure, and emotional conflict in a way that stays engaging without becoming overly heavy.

The two couples complement each other well, and the series is ultimately carried by their chemistry and emotional development.

The ending is satisfying and gives proper closure to both storylines.

Emotionally, this drama hit much harder than expected. It starts off light and entertaining, but gradually becomes one of those stories that leaves a lasting impact. I ended up crying a lot by the end because of the emotional weight surrounding both families, and especially the way loss and grief are handled through both main characters’ stories.

It started great cute love story between two students. Then speration because the society won’t accept gay couple.Still here the story was good, emotional. After this the story was going really bad like there were rape, sexual assault scenes and when xiao Chen was on hospital bed lu feng was like i wish you stay like this forever then you can’t leave me.like what the heck was it.I hate every character except Qin and Zhou I should suppose to hate but I couldn’t.This drama gave me so much trauma.Don’t rewatch or watch

Short and sweet but leaves more to be desired..

Giving them only 8 eps really was a disservice to their love story. Yes it's a slow burn... The slowest actually but compared to the other stories that are also slow burns it's like they just wanted to wrap up the Fourever You series as quickly as possible and gave the cast and story crumbs. They could've combined the first couple of eps together to make it so the time skip happened a lot sooner. Six eps of one sided love/yearning, one ep with a confession and dating, then one of them being together makes everything too rushed. It also doesn't give any time for viewers to see Nao actually fall for Tiger, it makes it seem like he's forcing himself to like him so he doesn't lose him. Which as a novel reader is not the case. There was so much inter dialogue that Dao had, conversations with Dan, and North and the other boys about how he felt about Tiger from high school all the way up until he tells him the feelings are mutual. WAYY more moments of Tiger and Dao together. From what I can tell the show ends way before the novel does and that not even counting the special chapters.

If you felt like this wasn't enough I BEG you to read the novel. It's one of the best (THAT'S MY OPINION) of the five in total. Obviously a show can't show everything but wow do viewers miss out on so much. Them growing up together, Sing and Ben's story, more of the dynamic of their friend group, them actually falling in love, the nc's 😜. I won't spoil anything that happens after the show ends but it's a good read.

I think Pie, Golf and everyone did the best with what they were given and look forward to seeing them again (I'm looking at you Star Scope).

A very well-made production. If they had made this longer, it could have rivaled many non-BL KDramas out there.

The two MLs were excellent, as were all the co-stars. The story was engrossing, with action, suspense, and violence. The violence stems from the storyline of a corrupt politician and his corrupted son & the son’s friends, who knew little of right from wrong. The main storyline was about one man trying to find the truth behind his father’s death. It’s all very involved and I think they did a pretty good job of getting it across and resolving it all in 8 , 20-minute episodes.

Kudos to the studio who produced this and put forth a quality series.

A Love You Don’t Need to Hear to Feel

What makes See Your Love so special isn’t a complicated or groundbreaking plot, but the emotional clarity of its storytelling. At its core, it’s about connection — the way two people learn to understand each other beyond words, beyond differences, and beyond the limitations they start from.

Jiang Shao Peng is a character who stays with you. His silence is never treated as something to “fix,” but as part of who he is. And Yang Zi Xiang’s presence in his life feels incredibly natural — not forced or idealized, but built slowly through attention, patience, and genuine curiosity. Their relationship develops in a way that feels both intimate and deeply respectful, which makes every small interaction meaningful.

One of the most impactful aspects of the drama is its use of contrast: silence and expression, distance and closeness, control and spontaneity. Even without relying heavily on dialogue, the emotional progression is always clear. You don’t need explanations — you feel it.

The second couple adds a lighter rhythm to the story, bringing humor and energy without breaking the emotional tone. They complement the main narrative rather than distracting from it, which makes the overall experience feel balanced and complete.

Visually and emotionally, the chemistry between the leads is undeniable. It’s not loud or exaggerated — it’s quiet, consistent, and deeply convincing. The kind of connection that builds until you realize you’re completely invested without even noticing when it happened.

By the time the story reaches its romantic milestones, everything feels earned. Not rushed, not artificial — just the natural result of two people choosing each other, again and again, in small ways that eventually become everything.

I also rewatched it many times, which says more than anything else I could write. It didn’t lose its impact — if anything, it became clearer how carefully constructed the emotional core really is.

At its heart, See Your Love is not about drama or spectacle. It’s about presence. About being seen, understood, and chosen.

And for me, that was more than enough to make it unforgettable.

love

Watching it from the day it started airing. Mix of emotions love, sad, adorable, and many more. Waiting every week for it. This is the best part of Fourever you in first 3 parts
The way Tonfan understand each and every feeling of phoon.
I actually hate phoon dad so much.
Tonfan did correct to him father. Phoon was already in guilt that him sister died because of him and him father was literally. At last when phoon sister left like she got sured that phoon has some one he love and also loves him more than anything in the world that was damm emotional.

I Didn’t Expect to Get This Attached

I genuinely didn't expect to love this drama so much.

At first, I was mostly here for the nostalgia. A sequel connected to *Addicted* released ten years later and starring the same actors? Of course I was going to watch it. What I didn't expect was to end up loving the drama for its own merits.

The greatest strength of this series is its characters. I became attached to every single one of them. Both couples were incredibly enjoyable to watch, and each relationship brought something different to the story. The main couple was sweet, comforting, and emotionally satisfying, while the second couple added a more chaotic and playful energy that I absolutely adored.

What really worked for me was the balance. The drama knows when to be funny, when to be romantic, sad. It made me laugh, kick my feet, and occasionally want to throw my phone across the room from frustration. That's usually a good sign.

I also appreciated how mature the story felt. This isn't a perfect world where everything magically works out. The characters have to deal with public judgment, family expectations, personal insecurities, and difficult choices. Yet despite those heavier themes, the drama never loses its warmth. At its core, it's an incredibly hopeful story about love, acceptance, and finding people who make life easier simply by being there.

The chemistry between the actors was fantastic, which honestly isn't surprising considering they've known these characters for so long. There was a natural comfort in their performances that made every emotional scene hit harder.

And can we talk about the soundtrack? Every song felt perfectly chosen.

It’s not a perfect drama, and I don’t think it tries to be. At times the connection to Addicted feels a bit looser than I expected, and some plot points do feel slightly rushed or like they could’ve been explored more. There were moments where I genuinely wished certain storylines had more time to breathe, just so the emotional impact could hit even harder. But honestly, despite all of that, the emotional payoff was so strong that I barely cared about the imperfections. I found myself completely invested from beginning to end, and once I was in, I was in — fully attached to the characters and their journey.

This drama made me smile, made me emotional, and left me with that bittersweet feeling you get when you don't want to say goodbye to the characters.

Ten years later, these actors came back and somehow delivered something that felt both nostalgic and completely fresh.

That's honestly kind of beautiful.

Is Jerome really ok ?

I just finished watching this series, and I can't stop thinking that the story wasn't really fair to Jerome. In the end, he's the only one who will remain traumatized by the past, carrying all those memories, feelings of loss, and regrets, while everyone else gets to move on with their lives normally. I just can't get that idea out of my head.

Overall, though, it was a fun and a watchable series. I'm still not sure about the acting. I feel like Sea can't really act that well, and in many scenes Keen was carrying the emotional weight for both of them. On the other hand, Java's acting was incredibly good. I cried a lot during his scenes, and he was definitely one of the highlights of the series for me.

One House, Endless Secrets, and Zero Chill

This is sooooo good!

This is a perfect example of how much it can matter to have a genuinely gripping story and actors who can actually sell it, even without a flashy budget. It doesn't matter at all that pretty much the whole thing is shot in the same house with just a handful of actors.

It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Insanely tense. Episodes always air in pairs (about 40 minutes total), and each pair ends on a massive cliffhanger — then the next pair somehow manages to hold that tension all the way through and end just as intensely. Not many shows can pull that off.

What really made the series work for me was the chemistry between the two leads. Their relationship constantly balances attraction, suspicion, curiosity, and distrust. Neither of them fully knows whether the other can be trusted, which makes every interaction feel charged. And that kiss scene? Yeah... I've definitely rewatched that more than once.

The ending was very sweet, maybe almost a bit too sappy for me, especially with the love confession. I mean, come on, you've known each other for what, a few days? And for most of that time, one of them thought the other was his best friend's older brother.

Personally, I would have been perfectly happy with something a little more understated. A simple "Let's deal with everything first, and then find each other again when it's over" would have felt more natural to me. But I understand why the writers chose a more romantic ending.

If anything, I would have loved a slightly more Bonnie and Clyde ending — something like both of them on the run, in hiding under new identities, but building a good life together anyway.

Still: 10/10.

50 First Dates meets Hard to Find

first of all with only 24 episodes 10 to 18 minutes each and limited budget you know this ain't gonna bee Love of Nirvana, but it still packs a punch.
I loved the OST, original and well placed.
I loved the story and concepts the screenwriter came up with: opposing countries and their royals vying for supremacy and showing ruthlessness expected of ancient cdrama.
I liked the characters: cunning ml who goes from slave submission to ruler cutting his enemies personally and torturing in vengeance with abandon, and fl who fools us with soft heart and questioning her own ruling mother only to showcase unyielding strength of spirit even on her death bed.
I was really impressed with complexity of human falability switching between doing one thing when in power versus when oppressed and humiliated.
Actors did a great job trying to be their characters and second cp delivered touching story of their own.
The philosophical questions and ethical dimemas like those in Still Alice (dementia issues) could have been expanded on but again, this is short drama and not VD or full length, so I take it as is.
The editing was a bit scattered and sometimes the plot had holes but they went for the conceptual wholeness and not detailed depiction.
The ending was weak albeit expected, I would have been ok with stopping at ep 23 but then again the best lines delivered by the 4 leads were in the last 5 episodes.
overall good watch but I probably won't ever go back to it

Fraquinho
