Beautifully done
It was beautiful.Casting was so well done, everyone was absolutely stunningggg. Tian Xi Wei looked divine in Moonlit Reunion and even better here. . I have no words to explain her besides that she looks like an angel and her acting range is insane, can only think of one or two actresses that could pull it off. Nothing felt stiff, from fighting to kissing, everything flowed very naturally and nothing looked toooo absurd. Yes, she killed a general with two strikes but also has anyone complaining about this ever seen an actual PIG? They are huge. If a girl can carry a damn pig like nothing, then she can kill a man with two strikes, it makes sense, you know? Linghe also never, ever looked better and he could do both things he does best: brood and cry, and he did not disappoint. He does yearning very well, he does psycho very well and was able to masterfully navigate between the extremes of hot and cold. Honorable mention that hot scenes were hotting (god bless).
Aside from that, most characters had names, stories and personal motivations. Side stories were not boring, second couple did AMAZING, to the point of being as important to plot as the main couple. It did not have the usual (and useless) sidekicks around leads, with no boring plots or filler episodes, everything had a purpose.
Cinematography was a work of art. Lightning, camera work, angles, composition, and the color graaaaaaading!! There is a video the studio released about the color grading work, it is stunning. Costumes, wigs, scenarios, make up, soundtrack was not groundbreaking, but also very well done. The director has definitely add one more line to his already great record of very well executed projects.
And all of this allowed what I have rarely seen around: beautiful story telling. It allowed feelings to be expressed in actions/images, and avoided overexposure of information to explain events or actions, which is what often creates the sense of disbelief in us as consumers of the final product. This is why we often can’t tolerate some costume dramas: it looks staged, it feels fake. If I can’t connect with the story, characters, scenarios or world, I will lose interest in it, and this was not the case here. We got so many beautiful, unique, well done shots and angles. It was creative sometimes, poetic in others, and even cheesy at some point, but it was so so so pleasing to watch, we were weeeeell served.
Now, I do not ignore that the plot had some issues, but as anyone who knows a bit about how media control works in China, it is nothing new. The limitation of episodes, duration, removal of actors involved in scandal and other cultural requirements often lead to this outcome in this type of media (unfortunately). I also disagree with comments that talk about lack of creativity or absurdity of plot, and I can only presume those watchers have not been around for long, because denying the quality of work and content is absolute blindness or lack of experience.
Of course there is room for improvement, for example, further deepening of the ML feelings would have been great to the overall plot. The strength of the feelings that drove the Sui princes to madness is what made them so magnetic (besides being hot as well). The complex of the relationship between the second couple was soooo well done, it made the conflicts of the main couple seen a bit plain. It was hard to connect to that bone deep solitude that made the Marquis the cold and distant man he is at the begining of the story. We could watch and understand Changyu’s sorrows, but we saw very little of what made Xie Zheng who he was. This is a second strike for Linghe, because his role in Our Generation had the same exact issue. Do better handsome!
Personally, I would also have loved to see more ML fighting scenes. Seeing the FL rock it was great, she is main character after all, but I expected more from the Marquis. It was funny that the only scene he actually fought he was using a mask, which made me wonder if it was a skill issue…however, he did have fighting scenes in other productions, so I prefer to believe it was a very conscious choice. His aura was 1000/10 tho, no comments.
Regarding timeline and pacing, which are also very important for world building, both were great during the first 23 eps, the development of the relationships and plots felt real and solid. Rhythm got a bit wonky after that, but nothing that is not seen in every other production out there. And well, it affected the ending, which felt rushed and shallow when compared to everything else. I must say I would have preferred a single solid ending over the fan service they chose to do, with the random scenes from the alternate ending. But it is a HE and this girl likes a HE, so I will take my win.
Finally, well, I looooved it as the love story it is. It is not a heavy political, vengeance drama. It is not a comedy nor a parody. It is a love story, very sweet and very emotional/highstake, with lots of yearning (and kisses 🙏🏽). It has definitely earned a place within my all time favorites list and I think anyone who likes romance and costume/historial drama should give it a try, I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

.Silent Truth is a series with a gripping premise, strong performances, and moments of genuine emotional impact. But it’s also weighed down by convoluted relationships, questionable character logic, and plot choices that sometimes strain believability. Still, the acting—especially from Takeuchi Ryoma—and the emotional beats keep you watching, even when the mystery starts to wobble. It’s a show that frustrates you, intrigues you, and occasionally breaks your heart. And somehow, despite everything, you can’t look away.

Sweet love story
Just finished this drama and honestly… it’s a simple, sweet love story 💛It’s not overly dramatic or complicated, which I actually liked. The pacing is nice, and since there aren’t too many episodes (each about an hour long), it’s an easy and enjoyable watch. This is exactly the kind of drama I usually go for—short, emotional, and not dragged out.
Even though there isn’t a lot to deeply analyze or talk about, it still leaves a good impression. It’s definitely not the best drama ever, but it’s far from the worst—it’s just a nice, feel-good story you can relax with.
And I have to say… I totally fell for U bin’s smile 😭✨ So cute!
Overall: simple, sweet, and worth watching 💫

A genuine 10/10: I would run through a brick wall after watching this show
A raw and genuine production (rare in kdrama/variety), no theatrics or crude drama to "spice" anything up — just 20 awe-inspiring men working to be the best versions of themselvesEach episode inspired me with their teamwork and love amongst comrades, pure joy, and the absolute pinnacle of grit
Last of all — completely free to watch on youtube

I rewatch this one on the regular
I watch a lot of bl. This is a really good one. I get the sense that some of the unimpressed reviewers should avoid (this brand of) Japanese bl because the flow of the story isn't for them. No disrespect to the haters here. It's just that there are different flavors of bl, and this can be both well done and not to your liking at the same time. For me, this series was spot on, and I miss these two so much. I cannot even remember how many times I've watched it already. I enjoy the story, which I do not think is about a toxic relationship. Clumsy, but not toxic. This is the arrangement they entered into. It's not master/servant, but it is dom/sub or brat tamer or something of that ilk. (I will leave the finer points of that assessment to someone with a deeper knowledge of such things.) If that's too much for you, ignore that piece and focus on the story: one person is desperately wanting to be reassured that they are loved and appreciated while the other wants to be reassured that their complete devotion is understood and reciprocated. It's actually very sweet and loving. And sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's heartwarming.
I also think the acting is strong, the production is good, and the writing flows. The leads are gorgeous and have good chemistry, but that won't carry the whole project without the other pieces in place. This is one of my all-time favorites. You should watch, especially if you like Japanese bl. And don't give up before the end! You need the entire story to truly appreciate this drama.

Slow Paced, story not bad not satisfying
Hey friendStory is good, actor and actresses can make you feel awkward
It is slow paced so you can just skip episode 1-4 and start at episode 5 the last episode even if you do not watch it you wont miss anything.
If you want something to watch while you are on your phone this is it.

"I don't want their hearts, I only want the kingdom." Are you sure you don't want their heads?
Flying Guillotine 2 was the sequel to the 1975 film Flying Guillotine. Campier, bloodier, but less fun than the original, FG2 had a similar cast with people playing different characters because most of their characters were killed off in the first movie. The Qing emperor Yung Jing is furious that the ex-Flying Guillotine Ma Tang has not been found. Ma is not the only worry Yung has, rebels have been trying to assassinate him. The emperor has continued to have righteous officials and scholars murdered which does not sit too well with the surviving officials or the people. The rebels led by Hero Jin are planning to mass on Hsia Mountain. Before they can leave, the F.G. squad attacks. Most of the rebels survive because Ma Tang arrives with his Iron Umbrella that can defeat the spiraling death caps. Both sides accelerate their arms race in the hopes of defeating the other and being left with their bodies intact.
Ti Lung took over Chen Kuan Tai’s role as Ma Tang. With a huge cast, his time was shortened compared to Ma’s prevalent screen presence in the 1975 film. Shih Szu played Na Lan, the daughter of a minister, with a personal grudge who was determined to kill the emperor. And one of my faves, Ku Feng, brought the authoritarian threat to his role as the emperor. My other favorite, Lo Lieh, was stuck working with Wai Wang who had no idea how to play off another actor. I could see Lo trying to connect with him as Wai looked like he was thinking about what he was going to have for dinner.
There were substantially more and longer fights than in the first film all competently choreographed by Tang Chia. The problem with having such a large cast though is that the stakes were watered down. It was hard to care about 90% of the characters and whether they were separated from their heads. The flying guillotines, even with their upgrades, lost their spiky menace as they decapitated random characters too fast to process. The first film gave weight to the characters and corruption that added suspense and concern.
Flying Guillotine 2 aka Palace Carnage was fast paced with plenty of action, yet it felt strangely hollow with so few characters to connect with on a screen plastered with bodies. It’s worth a watch if you like the actors or the guillotines, if you come into the film with low expectations. As always, I rated it on a kung fu curve, and was probably being generous with a 7.0/10.
24 March 2026
Trigger warnings: Decapitations, of course. Arms chopped off. Two scenes with naked women for no other reason than it was 1978. A bird in flight was skewered with a sword.

You will never feel the same way about Peaches after this drama (in a negative, cringey way)
“Peach Lover” is best enjoyed if you are watching at 1.25-1.5x speed. Otherwise, you will be bored to death. I realized this after a few episodes during a watch party when all we did was complain about the slowness of the drama, not just the plot moving slowly, but also people talking slowly, pausing between sentences and taking forever to finish that one sentence.“Peach Lover” actually could have been a decent drama, if the execution is done right. It has a provocative angle via the lens of porn stars, with two individuals who carry their own baggage, and a story to tell how they are made for each other. Unfortunately, the screen time distribution between these elements is too uneven. We have so many episodes of just the two main leads hanging out at home, looking pretty, kissing, flirting, having sex, cooking and eating, and barely leaving the house. Then we spend maybe 0.5 episode on Po’s family drama, and a quarter of an episode on Sasom’s former peach lover drama, and then maybe one-eighth of an episode on talking about the porn video that may or may not happen by the end of the series.
Because the director is also the director of “Playboyy”, I was expecting a lot more out of the sex scenes. The expectations were high when you are talking about porn stars here. No matter how good the kisses are (and they are good), how good the chemistry is (and it’s good), the sex scenes did not live up to the expectation because it’s always cut short when it could have been daring. I was expecting the level of spice and explicitness to be the same level of what Korn and Tonkla showed me in “4 Minutes” or what Krailert and Naran showed me in “Shine”, or those in “Playboyy”. Am I unfair to expect this spice level? Fine, I admit I’m perverted. LOL Ok, finally saw something worthwhile in episode 7 but still….
Additionally, if you are a lover of the fruit, peach, you might never view it the same way again. The level of peachy preachiness in this drama is amazing. “Peach Lover” bombarded us with AI pictures, and then fed us with a whole bunch of peach analogy to compare it to romance and relationship. I am sorry, it’s just cringe to me. Maybe I could tolerate the analogy better if it’s not through AI art, or in such a preachy way.
That secondary couple? Horrible acting! What is the point of their story again? A bodyguard that doesn’t really do much and has the time to go flirt with his boyfriend. Their storyline is such an afterthought. You could totally cut them out of the drama and you would not even notice. There’s so much filler of nothingness in the drama that there’s plenty of time to develop these two characters and give them a proper romance.
Let me end on a positive note. Ki and Poom were given a horrible script, but they did the best that they could. They really do have great chemistry together. Their flirting is fun and the kisses are really good. Their bed scenes are shot beautifully and they gave it their all to make it believable. This is Ki’s second drama and first main role, and he did fine. Is it only me, or does Ki look like a mini Pop V from “Love Destiny”? Despite the slowness in Poom’s speech, his acting is good. I just don’t understand why the director make him utter his words and pause between sentences, instead of speaking like a normal human being. These two actors are definitely the best part of “Peach Lover”. Oh, they also look great together and have nice bodies and abs, which make many of their topless intimate scenes very enjoyable.
Unless you are in a mood to hate-watch and trash talk a drama, I would not recommend “Peach Lover”. This is a great watch party drama if you want to laugh with your friends about how ridiculous this is. I wish Ki and Poom would come together for another project with a better script. My 6.0 rating is for them, and the fun I had when hate-watching while laughing with my friends. Don't forget to watch in 1.25 or 1.5x speed.

Sometimes we have to stop running
Anazing actors, amazing chemistry, amazing story. some might say it’s slow but I think that’s the true beauty of the show. When one character is a literal professional sprinter, the slowness of life makes it all the more meaningful. I loved the character and I loved the romance! You have a strong female lead who stands true to herself and doesn’t let others knock her down. I would watch this show over and over again. My only critique is that while I love the second couple, some of the last episodes where a little too focused on them for my taste.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Fearless
If you prefer mature female leads, this one’s definitely worth checking out. It’s definitely a unique series and won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. As a mystery thriller, I’m not expecting romance or a “Back to the Future” style plot like many current C-dramas that lean heavily on love stories or portray weaker female leads. I much prefer a capable, no nonsense female protagonist who isn’t overly cutesy.
Each episode keeps things engaging with its fast paced storytelling, although it can be a bit confusing at times when trying to keep track of the supporting cast. And as a BL fan, I’ve been especially excited to see this pairing.

Maravilhoso até certo ponto!
Ahhhhhh!!!

Such a disappointment
I am being generous giving it 7 because I liked the actors and the attempt at the novel, but....Viewers be aware:
👎you will not get more than 2 out of promised multiple husbands/lovers
👎You will not get a decent ending either
For the most part I was just curious what are they going to do with just 65 episodes 2 minutes each and it was actually foreseeable: shortcuts, butchered story development and weird non-resolution ending🤦
It was a fast watch and some parts (romance) was cute, but you will be frustrated with the result.
Pity, if this was more funded, it would have been a really good mini drama.
