Owing Him a Kiss

Overall, I enjoyed this movie, but there was one thing that left me unsatisfied. In several scenes, the female lead (Kenzaki Hiruko) promised to let the male lead (Yuzuru Hamura) kiss her if he did what she asked. This situation happened again when Kenzaki Hiruko ordered Yuzuru Hamura to move the zombie body of Shindo Ayumu from the bed. After that, I thought and hoped there would be a scene where Kenzaki Hiruko would fulfill her promise at the end or before the movie ended. But that didn't happen, and they didn't even slightly mention the promise. Instead, they only showed a scene revealing that Kyosuke Akechi had become a zombie. It was OBVIOUS that he wouldn't survive, and it didn't surprise me at all. I'm sure if the director had decided to include a scene, even just a slight reference to the promised kiss at the end of the movie, many people would have liked it as I did. That's why I call it "Owing Him a Kiss" because it remains a debt. That's my brief review and complaints, thank you.

nerve wracking and mind blowing

Rating: 4.6/5 stars

Forgotten is a cinematic masterpiece that takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Its plot is so rich and intricate that it could easily be the foundation for a gripping drama series. The numerous plot twists are unexpected and mind-blowing, keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout the film.

The narrative is psychologically satisfying, with hints of suspicion subtly planted throughout the movie, such as the protagonist's pill-taking habit. The pacing is well executed, starting steady, and then fluctuating, mirroring the emotional turmoil of the characters. The climax, where both main characters meet their end, is a poignant reflection of their shared pain and trauma.

The film's aesthetics are noteworthy, particularly the use of lighting to distinguish between reality and memories. The colorful, vibrant lighting of the memories contrasts sharply with the dark, grim reality, enhancing the impact of the plot.

Forgotten isn't just a thrilling suspense movie; it also delves into serious themes such as crimes committed out of desperation and unsolved cold cases. It's a movie that turns its viewers into detectives, encouraging them to piece together the clues and unravel the mystery.

The acting in this film is commendable. The cast delivers high emotion scenes with intensity and brings subtlety to the quieter moments. Their performances contribute significantly to the overall impact of the film.

This movie is a must-watch for fans of dark-themed movies and psychologically twisted films. It's a thrilling, suspenseful, and horrifying journey that hooks you from start to finish. Forgotten truly deserves all the praise it receives. It's a film that leaves a lasting impression and earns a well-deserved rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars from me.

A journey of falling out of love and falling in love between two parallel worlds

Parallel universes are one of the most interesting resources in science fiction. This concept glimpses the possibility of alternative worlds existing in other planes of reality. They can be the same as ours with small differences, or divergent versions with completely different rules and people. According to this theory, everything would have an infinite number of variants that would be encompassed in a cosmos of realities called the Multiverse.
Focused on parallel worlds, films and television series have covered this concept in genres as diverse as comedy, adventure, and horror, jumping from mainstream to independent cinema.
Produced by Kongthup Chanel, 'Two World' stars MaxNat, a ship formed by actors Kornthas Rujeerattanavorapan and Natasitt Uareksit, respectively.
Directed by Khets Thunthup and Petch Varayu Rukskul and scripted by Pratchaya Thavornthummarut, the romantic drama with LGBT+ themes and a touch of fantasy tells how the life of Kham (Nat) could be boring for many, living in his humble house in a rural village surrounded by hills and rivers, with her father as the only person close to her, a friend who visits him from time to time and the pleasure of leaving nature captured on canvas.
With the aim of making us reflect on the importance of choices when defining ourselves, the series proposes an unusual love triangle between three men from two alternative worlds, with an exciting plot and intense dramatic scenes.
His world is turned upside down when he falls in love with Phupha (Gun Thapanawat Kaewbumrung), the handsome and dapper heir of the Khum Fah company, who arrives at his home seeking refuge while he escapes from the Big Slum gang that is after him to kill him and thus prevent him from taking the reins of his father's business.
The brief idyll between the two young people is broken when Thai (Kornthas Rujeerattanavorapan), the son of the gang leader, an evil man marked by a scar on his face, attacks Phupha. This is the moment when Khram will learn some secrets about Phupha's life. In addition to discovering that her lover is engaged to a rich young woman, it will also be revealed to her that Phupha is not the real son of the man she believed to be her father until that moment. On the other hand, both will suspect that the person who has raised him as a son is the one who has sent him and Uncle Viroj to murder.
The next day, Khram finds Phupha brutally murdered in his own home.
Desperate, Khram decides to go to the Magical Moon Pond, remembering that around the pond there is a legend in which the dead can be resurrected. In this way, the young man falls into the waters unexpectedly turned blue and crosses, inexplicably, to a parallel world almost identical to his world where not only Phupha is still alive, but in which a kind man similar to Thai and of the same name, but without the scar crossing his face, had been his lover, and his mother has died at the hands of the man with the mark on his face.
For his part, Thai is also confused because the Khram he knows has been murdered three years ago.
The sensitive young art lover wants to fix the past so he can save Phupha's life in the other world. To do this, he is forced to ask Thai for help, as he has come to understand that the young man who is tough on the outside and soft on the inside, with big eyes and dark eyebrows, is capable of protecting others with his strong leadership.
Denied at first, Thai ends up giving in to Kham's requests, once he tells her the truth about his relationship with Phupha in his alternate universe. And this is how the story begins between these two young people from very different worlds who are unaware that this journey full of mystery, fantasy, action and violence gives them a perfect opportunity to meet each other and end up in love.
Phupha and Thai represent different stages in the protagonist's life, and little by little the feelings for the former will disappear and in its place will be born friendship and love for the boy who has just arrived in his life. While trying to complete the mission, both will feel their hearts beating faster and stronger when they are next to each other.
This is how the series introduces a new element in its plot: the love triangle. Personally, I quite reject this very common resource when developing a piece of fiction. Reason? Whatever the outcome, there is no way in which the three involved will be injured. I understand the goal of adding some issues to the story at hand, generating sides and controversy, and ultimately creating an extra layer of entertainment, but honestly, when I like a couple, a third person really bothers me a lot.
No, I'm not saying I like GunNat. It's not that I prefer MaxNat, although I understand that the series seeks to consolidate this last ship within the BL universe.
And in this matter of confessing, I must then recognize that a love triangle like the one the series places at its center does have my approval and absolute enjoyment, despite, let's continue with the confessions, I don't like fantasy stories and parallel universes either. . I mean, the series has exceeded all my expectations.
Will Khram manage to save Phupha's life? And can he love Thai, who is in a different world from him, but intertwines with his every time the waters of the sacred pool turn blue?
Adapted from the web novel "2 Worlds" (2 Worlds: โลกสองใบ ใจดวงเดียว) by Prang (พราง), 'Two World' creates initial tension through the mistrust between its protagonists. The uncertainty about Khram's identity and the reality in which he finds himself after crossing the boundaries between the two worlds, capture the viewer without the use of special effects.
Throughout his journey, Khram encounters allies and enemies on this personal odyssey. Despite conforming to the characterizations of people he knows in the parallel universe, most of them, especially Thai, are variants of people with whom Khram will try to discover who he is. In this new stage of his life, Khram will fall out of love with Phupha and fall in love with Thai, who provides him valuable support and also begins to develop feelings for the young traveler between two worlds.
What is certain is that Thai manages to make his way onto our protagonist's romantic radar, and there, among the waters of a blue water pond that serves as a gateway to an alternative universe, Phupha's boyfriend meets Thai and Something sparks between the two, giving rise to an adventure that will determine their destinies.

Absolutely Enjoyed this Series

This is absolutley one of the better Kdrama's I have ever watched and simpy the best show of 2024 so far. Periodt! Great cast and characters, good plot and mostly good writing. A few things annoyed me but overall a genuinely good show. I loved the cases they worked on and I loved the teamwork. The balance of comedy and drama was done so well in this series.

Ahn Bo Hyun as Jin Isoo is perfect casting. The character could have been annoying but he was sweet, loveable and so damn likeable. Literally one of my favorite characters ever and his characater growth was phenomenal.

The show was a solid 10 for me but unfortunately the cliche villian trope was just so unnecesary and that's really the biggest negative I have about the series. Most of the writing was good but this and a few other inconsistent, nonsensical things is the reason I took that point away!! I would still rewatch this though and I rarely rewatch any shows.

It's a feast for the eyes, that's it.

Okay, the title already sums up what I hate in this drama. The central plot revolves a woman who needs to disguise as a boy BUT SHE DOESN'T EVEN TRY THAT HARD?!! Yeah, I know it's fictional but she looks too beautiful to be a man and even her makeup can still be seen. The acting also makes me cringe? Idk at first I was okay with it but it just feels like I don't feel any emotions to both of the leads. Don't get me wrong I know the ML did great in Go Ahead but I think his acting here feels less than that drama. Also, I love Ju Jingyi but her acting here feels off. (Maybe it was just the fact that she doesn't look like a man for me). Anyways, their chemistry is great so I gave them points for that.

I watched this drama because of the leads, all of them including the other MLs as I am also a fan of them.. Well, the investigation, the story is good but yeah, it just doesn't really made me feel something special about it.

Descent Drama (Yes, just descent)

I remember being so excited for this drama to air, only to drop it after a few episodes and it takes a while until I eventually finished it all. The only downside of this drama is the writing and execution of the last few episodes. The ending feels rush and so out of place. Anyways, love Zhao Lusi though, she made me watched this but I'm really not a fan of the ML's acting. I think Lusi overshadowed him, idk. Overall, it a nice drama but I won't watched it again.

Best Short Chinese Drama Ever Made

The amount of details they put in this drama is so great. This is by far tops the list of the best short chinese dramas I watched.

Best Points:
1. The acting was great especially the FL. I had already watched some of her previous works and this drama for me is her best work. She did great in portraying the innocent teen until she became the Empress. You could really see and feel her change. However, the ML might seems to be overshadowed by FL's acting but for me it didn't. Both of them did good in conveying the melancholic theme of the drama. I hope they will pair up in a future drama with a happy ending..
2. THE DETAILS! Yes, the details really gives me goosebumps because IT WAS SOOOO WELL-MADE. The people behind this drama really put every of their creative powers to make this. It is also straight to the point with no plot holes. Every episode puts me in the edge of the seat and makes me cry.
3. The OST are perfect in every scene they put it. That's it because I might cry if I hear the song again, remembering every bits of what happened in this drama.
4. Although it's a low budget drama, it doesn't feels like it is. Well, I mean it is more perfect than those high budget dramas with crappy writings.

Overall, 10/10. So perfect, so tragic, so love it! Yes, it's a sad and tragic ending but for me it's also happy because the story gave us a lesson that historical facts isn't what you think it really is. And the ML proving to everyone that the FL wasn't really the villain in the story makes it already a happy ending for me. Maybe in their next life, the star crossed lovers will have their own happy ending.

one good-looking guy doesnt make a drama

I came here because i find the ML to be such a great actor after seeing him in "Fiery Priest", but this drama is far from meeting my expectations. First of all, women are all annoying and acting dumb, second, the ML is always frowning and posing macho. Honestly, it's not much for me to relate to.
Maybe i should save it for another occasion, now dropped.

it’s nice and feels different

horror story, but not much of an horror as people are saying, I started watching at 3am, didn’t feel/see the horror.

I really hate the end, WTF was that, they just left us like that, I would have preferred if it ended with investigators/cops arrive at the house to take the corpse of the boys, that way we can be sure they all died at the house or if one survived, instead they just made us know the guys where still in the house and haven’t left yet, so does that mean it wasn’t two years later then, maybe it was just few hours later ? Or was Phee just thinking too much?

personally i could understand why phee believed they were still in that house, after all, with the disappearance/death of 5 people, there’s no way it wouldn’t have been announced, after all, they all had families, even if they don’t, the would have neighbours, someone close to them.

apart from that, it’s a really nice drama, hoping for a part 2/continuation, but not in the form of a series, maybe a shot film that would explain the end like, IS EVERYONE OR DID EVERYONE DIE OR NOT? IF NO, WHO SURVIVED?

extraordinary

this drama has really exceeds my expectations. I have always seen people talk about how good this drama is everywhere, now one thing about me is I get uninterested in a drama when people mention it everywhere so I did not have high expectations and put this drama off for the longest time but I had nothing to watch and randomly watched this and when I tell you it’s sooo good. really not toxic and no misunderstandings and great leads the Fl might be my favorite of all dramas. one thing I loved was that it doesn’t get boring like other “nontoxic” dramas (love me love my voice or put your head on my shoulder) in my opinion. this drama is extraordinary do not hesitate to give it a try

Hard to watch... Frustration level 10/10

No chemistry. Not even one kiss.

FL was hard to like.

Story was all over with too many loopholes (ex: in early eps said cat was spayed/fixed, last couple eps said cat needed to get married and have babies? huh? lol.

Also, they literally exposed their relationship in front of everyone at the concert in later eps, but in the end she wanted to 'hide it from co-workers??' made no sense. How are you going to hide it when you just told everyone 2 episodes before? They were all there, in the audience, cheering them on? Sooooo... what? lol

FL acted like she wanted to punch poor Zhaolin through the entire series and acted like she wanted to throw up anytime he'd touch her. The whole time I felt like she hated him, even up until the very last minute. Weird and awkward show.

The 5.5 stars were all for Xing Zhaolin, because he always gives 100% no matter how bad the script is.

TWENTY FIVE TWENTY ONE -- ONE OF THE BEST DRAMA IN KDRAMA HISTORY..

All beautiful things will eventually come to an End, and sometimes it happens much earlier than you'd like to..

25 21 It's a unique drama about youth which highlights young love while beautifully stating the lives of the 5 protagonists. The protagonists and drama takes you back in time to your youthful days that you cherish the various viewpoints on life in different stages of life. Mostly 25 21 delivers the valuable life lessons like it centers on pursuing one's dreams, mother-daughter relationships, sacrifices, first love, friendship, and family, rather than just romance line it covers every element from love to family relationships.

Yi Jin & Hee do love story is beautiful, realistic and heartbreaking. Throughout their journey we can find one's real love, supportive and care towards our loved ones.

I enjoyed the platonic friendship between Ji-Woong & Seung-won because not every close person can be lovers for me it's more than love called friendship. I like Seung-won character & her personality bold and honest straightforward person.

Bona masterfully portrayed her Ko Yu-rim character it represents many of us in today's generation, like complexities, as an ideal and fresh-faced star fencing player on one side but a struggling 19-year-old on the other side.

And the mother daughter relationship between Hee do and his mother is more realistic. Baek Yi Jin family story would represent the family affection and parental love, brothers relationship beautifully..

And one the best part is they choose the 3 Major World contemporary issues to run their story in these days. And WoW they perfectly dealt with the contemporary issues like the IMF crisis, 9/11 and COVID 19 pandemic how this are effected the real lifes of people in those days.

Screenwriting & Direction & Cinematography departments cast departments :-

Another element that can be appreciated about Twenty-Five Twenty-One is that director Jung Ji-hyun has used nostalgia as props rather than mere timeline elements. The director has also maintained a fast pace for the storytelling, keeping the audience engaged. It requires a team effort from the cast, crew, and writer to create an experience for the audience that can move us from tears to outrage to laughing in minutes.
We deeply value their efforts.
The cinematography is also one of the key highlights of the drama. Many Korean dramas carry outstanding cinematography, but I'm marking this as one of the best aspects of Twenty-Five Twenty-One. Dramas typically use a variety of lighting effects ( Colour grinding) to differentiate between two (or more) story timelines. Interestingly, in this drama, they used the same colour filtration. This helps the story telling ( narration ) to connect the two timeframes of the story displaying that certain feelings and experiences travel from present to past generations of characters.

It’s hard for me to imagine anyone else playing Hee-do and Yi-jin and other 3 main characters but them. The entire cast delivers excellent performances, but Kim Tae-Ri as Hee-Do and Nam Joo-Hyuk as Yi-Jin stand out for their ability to capture how the characters support one another.

Ending :- There is absolutely nothing about this series that I dislike. Especially the ending.. The ending received mixed responses simply because Most of the watchers wanted/expected Yi Jin & Hee do end up together irrespective of the story point, but it was unexpected they gave a realistic ending and in my opinion that is what ultimately makes the ending memorable and satisfying. It reflects our real-life scenarios and characters from everyday life.. Yes, in real life or fantasy ( drama world ) not everyone lovestory and gets a happy ending, How
1) Most people don’t end up with their first love because it depends on the circumstances around them.
2) Not everyone doesn’t choose love over their career.
(be rational)
3) Nothing is predictable, that is what the drama is about so as a kdrama lover we are always ready to adapt new/realistic endings not criticizing them badly.

Finally:-
It's a complete nostalgic ride, I may never encounter a coming-of-age drama like 25 21, It's literally created a deep, unique spot in my Heart. This drama made me cry, laugh, and experience all kinds of emotions and 25 21 - overall a love-friendship-inspirational drama for every viewer irrespective of age. The side characters and friendships were equally important as the lead couple, the humor was wonderful and the time span the backdrop presented the story with an enjoyable contemporary environment.
I recommend this drama to everyone who loves kdramas.

My Favourite Line " Life is precious. Let’s love with no regrets while we’re alive " - Baek Yi Jin ?

Acting was crucial in this drama

I truly love the acting of Kim Ji Woong and Yoon Seo Bin. And they are the only reason I watched this BL drama. Their acting, the chemistry between them is incredible, definitly worth watching.

But the whole story... the script. thats just not it. I will definitely describe it as trashy...

of course it's just my opinion. But if it wasn't for the actors I would dedinitely drop it and didn't watch till the end of the movie.

I am definitely not a fan of the "vampire" conception presented in this drama ... And I truly hate the way it ended.

But if you love Ji Woong or/and Yoon Seo-bin then it's worth watching for them.

Good wholesome drama

Very relatable and wholesome drama. It was full of love, family and healing. I absolutely love Park Hyung-Sik ♥️♥️ I love a good drama with a happy ending. I cried and laughed with this one. Having someone you care about experiencing all the ups and downs together is truly amazing. Love how supportive her family was towards them which made up for the lack of his parents. I can’t see how some viewers didn’t like this drama. Nothing about this drama was toxic. It was nothing but love and healing. I’m all for it.
