Personally, with all the makjang cliché scenes, I really enjoyed this drama. The plot itself was interesting, although for me there were no plot twists. What was supposed to be a surprise was rather predictable.
The actors did quite well. They played their roles in the way expected. As for the OSTs, they were really good.

Not just for Cat People but it is a tribute to pet owners alike
/ Actual Rating: Could be an 8/8.5/10/- First of all, I have to praise the color grading they used for the skybox shading and the cinematography for some of the scenes that attract me as I appreciate this wonderful piece of a gem. It's just an eye candy and appealing to me.
/- I didn't know this was aired before Shin Ye Eun's More Than Friends, her role here seemed so free from the latter. I liked it a lot. However, the misunderstanding cloak to her character was evidently shown on both dramas. But this one's much better. Props to her!
/- I enjoyed it a lot knowing one of the directors was the one who directed Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol. It's highly an energetic, feel-good, and playful with my experience with 30-minute/24 part or more dramas. Loved it to bits!
/- Lastly, I enjoyed it more as a cat person.

I can’t get enough of this drama. I rewatched it 3 times and will be rewatching again as I recognize smallnuances that you don’t get the first time second time third
time. conversation that’s important and small tweaks
I’m body language. to those who are pre judging this drama - have an open mind and see
through the essence of the symbolism and content. comprehensive comprehension is needed. these are not for twelve year old minds. these are for logical rational fans who can get the meaning of what the writer and director and actors are showing.

An intense ride
At first, I was disappointed only with the settings at school (because with the cast I expected something mature) but nevermind, they pulled it off well. This is not what I mainly want to talk about.So I give a chance, and I don't absolute reget it at all! I love how they developed the story, it was well-written, really interesting and captivated from the begining to the end. Although, I won't recommend to everyone because it deals with heavy issues and there's also a depiction of violence as well.
However, they brought the right amount of the thriller, horror and mystery genres. It was also emotional and heartbreaking.
The actors were really good, they gave such great performances and the music gives me goosebumps.
I don't know if I will watch it again because it was dark and heavy but it was so good that I've binge-watching the episode in two days for each part. The only problem that I have is, when I've watched on VIU, they cut it into 4 parts each episodes so I think it broke a bit the atmosphere but in another hand, it let me breath for a second lol
Lastly, I want to say that Shadow becomes one of my favorite serie of this year!!

Best historical of 2023
This title certainly did not disappoint. Woo do hwan as Kang Han soo is phenomenal in his role. He is a great actor, playing both serious and emotional scenes and scenes of a funny and goofy nature in a charming and amazing way.. Some of the scenes where he is crying are done so so well, I can almost believe that it’s happening in real life. The relationship between the main leads is amazing as well.I also somehow liked the female main lead as well, So Won. She was a strong character, even if she was naive at the beginning , comes into her strengths nicely.
The second male lead is phenomenal as well. Such a well written character.
The villain was also surprisingly good. He was menacing and well written, though I would have liked to see more of his backstory.
The flow and overall progression of the story was well thought out, there were several little cases that gradually crescendoed into a showdown with the big bad.
Good writing, stellar acting and honestly, for someone who doesn’t really notice background music, they did a good job with the score.

This was by far the worst second season of a show I have EVER seen. It doesn't mirror season 1 at all - the evil being punished, a moral lesson behind each episode... none of that was present here.Yuri is a horrible character, her "backstory" does not constitute her behaviour throughout the rest of the season - and her and Nanno being linked never made sense.
Most importantly, episode 2 was the most disgusting horrifying thing throughout the entire show and everything I have ever watched - and I previously had thought an episode of the first season was specifically bad.. but that can't even compete with this. There was no reason to justify this episode being aired, it makes me wonder for what reason the writers REALLY wanted this episode to air..
Nanno's character throughout this season is consistent when it was never meant to be. Nanno was always meant to represent temptation or evil in whatever way her chosen target would best accept it. Nanno of season 2 has a set personality which just seems fake to me.
Before I had watched this season through, I was going to recommend it to my friends - now I won't even bother since it has been such a waste of time for me.

The young is really the future, just teach them well.
When I decided to watch this drama, I just knew very little information about it (I don't want to be spoiled).To be honest, the story and plot is well organized accordingly. The transition of young and willful youngsters to responsible individuals, this is the kind of story I always want to watch. Inspiring and full of lessons.
This is the only cdrama that made me cry the whole night to my sleep and waking up with a swollen eyes (eps 14-15 struck my heart with a knife).
The loyalty and friendship between the important characters is for everyone to treasure. The trust of each other is what makes everyone of them successful and happy.
Kuddos to the whole casts and team, this drama will never be forgotten.

I liked last 5 episodes after he married to her.
Starting was good . Then middle part of drama was boring . All the time chasing ,chasing and chasing . Then was trying to disband the Cui's army and the reason was not satisfactory . Why the king wanted this ? The Cui's army was always work for the welfare of people and never been hindrance in the work of king . The prince and the daughter of Cui family were having same target and when everything was happening good then suddenly prince father kept the condition to marry with her . She was not agreed at first only because of her father she accepted the proposal.I liked the episodes after their marriage scenes .

a lot of hype for randomly resolved storylines
Last episode just premiered, and I'm sitting here thinking wtf did I even watch. Granted, I made it to the end so it was entertaining enough to keep watching, but there was a lot of unfulfilled potential.Story-- The premise here isn't original, it's a Parent Trap style twin swap story where we follow one twin in his efforts to save his brothers dream after his brother was attacked in his place. After watching Not Me, it's hard to do the twin trope better than that, but this one is a more of a lighthearted and innocent story, so for the concept it works fine.
Something about this show just doesn't flow very well, or should I say nothing this show flows well at all. Part of it was probably poor acting, but the writers/directors/producers must have all been totally out of sync because the story was all over the place and the drama behind it all just made no sense.
Acting-- Frame, the actor who plays the twins is kind of a poor actor, his scenes are exaggerated and the characters themselves are not so well written imo. You have one that's supposedly wild dog crazy but when he has to play his brother he's a huge softy, and then the other who's apparently incredibly popular who's just a POS in general, and they just arent on the same page, makes no sense at all.
I did rate the acting well though because the cast is pretty good otherwise, I wish the rest of them had more screen time. I love the side couples, and even the main couple is cute at some points, but theres just a lot of drama dragging on.
Music-- Yhe music is fine, nothing too crazy, just unimpressed.
Anyway, with all of its flaws, I was able to make my way through it, I was even excited to get those new episodes every week. It was a "happy" ending, it just didn't really make sense, and I left unsatisfied. Worth a watch? Up to you.

Mishap, over and over again.
The plot is there; but it kept being spoiled by drunken people, unnecessary intimacy moments and merely repeating bad plot twists. Repeating the same jealousy moment really did annoy me. "I understand how you feel" ee hia~Part of me did plan to drop this story halfway; however, GearPrince & TapPing made me not to give me, as I wanted to know what happens to them. They are so adorable with each other. The drama was there; conflicts occurs and resolves it within short period - unlike the main characters.
I'll give it to James as he managed to carry two characters in the movie. He delivers them well by their own individual characteristic. Nevertheless all of them still need to somewhat amend their acting skills.
Their ost is nice. I loved it.

I really loved this drama ,this is my best Chinese drama for this year after this is Hidden Love and best couple for this year ,I love Xu Kia he's such a good actor,the actress was beautiful and amazing,I loved their chemistry it also had good osts ,I really thought she died I was scared for a minute there ,I can't believe it took the useless father 40 episodes to realize what a filial son he had ,Anyway I really loved everything about this drama ,the ending was great too ,I recommend this to everyone ,I don't usually watch 40 episodes drama but this is just amazing,Xu Kai my favorite Chinese actor love you man 😊.Was this review helpful to you?

SHORT WITH INTRIGUES AND SWEET
This drama is just everything. I'm sad that it ended but very happy on how it ended. This is a light rom-com and just so sweet.Each of the Female Leads compliment the Male Leads. We can see how Li Yuhu was an expert in martial arts so she's smart but just impatient, but I think this is how general or men in military acted. So she suits the calm, scholarly also smart Qi Tianlei. Whereas the graceful and intelligent Du Bingyan suits the serious and brave General Yuan Buqu or Ziren. Du Bingyan also turned fearless to pursue her husband and ended up falling for him.
The first or second episode, I think they had a bit of a problem with putting the ost repeatedly and it was a bit annoying.
I'm very in love with the hair accessories/headdress of this drama just... Marvelous💖 The costumes 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I love that they gave us the bonus couples story: the Master Liu and Madam Shu, Sha Pingwei with Princess Changping and also Yangsheng with Jintang.
It's so fun and just leave me with warm feeling when it ends.

I loved the material arts in this drama.Lusi acting was amazing.I loved how strong she was in this drama.It has to be one of my favorite drama from luis.The story was really amazing,I loved all the scenes.It had really great twist which i love in historical drama.If you love some twist in your drama I think you might like this.If you like badass Fl and Ml i think this drama is for you.
Reason why I like the drama
1- the characters they we’re everything to me.Lusi is one of my favorite actress and i really loved her in this drama.I loved her hidden identity,how she was a famous material art person at that time.I loved Yang character in this drama too it was actually pretty amazing.I loved his material arts.The fighting scenes with these two were really good.The way they were helping each other made me love it more.There was some side character who i hated and did not like in this drama.I don’t want to say who because that would spoil the drama.
2-the plot of this drama was so good.I did not expect the ending and one of the characters that i thought i might like in the beginning was the whole problem for this.It had some twist that i liked very much.I love twist in historical drama i think that’s what makes the drama more enjoyable.I don’t just think twist could make more a drama enjoyable it could really be about anything like the romance and many reason,but if there is a twist part of the drama that has to be one of my favorite things about historical dramas.
3-The costume of the drama were really good, even though the costumes were really not that much and they were basic but i thought that it is one of the reasons that describes the character of the drama.One of my favorites was when lusi wore that gray costume when she became a queen that has to be one of my favorite it look really good on her.For yang it was in the beginning of the drama it was a navy blue costume i really loved that costume on him.
