A Story About Family, Love and Resilience
Golden Rainbow is an emotional and addictive family drama with a compelling story about seven siblings, love, loyalty, loss, and the unbreakable bonds of family. What makes the series stand out is how much time it spends showing the characters growing up, making their relationships feel much more meaningful later on. The cast delivers some genuinely memorable performances, and despite a few overly dramatic plot twists and slower moments, the story kept me invested until the end. Not going to write a full review as this was one episode, but I agree with most others that have rated this episode not so highly. There's not really any point and it doesn't add much to the story, unless, you really liked the show and just want more! It's nice to see what they look like in a relationship together, but there wasn't anything very unique or exciting about their time spent. Also, I usually like to see a passionate kiss or something special that we didn't get in the original show, and this doesn't include that at all.Was this review helpful to you?
takara needs a bit more sparkle
Wasn't bad, but wasn't particularly impactful either. key tags: school life, senpai and kohai (senior and junior), stoic semeStory 7.5/10: The story here was cute, but really felt it's strongest episodes 1-3, then the pacing started to drag. Taishin's character is very strong and we fall in love with him quickly, when the story revolves around him the show is at its best. Unfortunately, Takara never has that affect for me. He is so stoic and despondent that the show becomes very boring when we venture into his storyline. This makes enjoying their relationship rather difficult, as it feels kinda one-sided until the very end. Some scenes have a romantic feel to them, but it feels like Taishin likes Takara a LOT more than Takara likes Taishin. It would have been nice to see more mutual attraction, or some chasing on Takara's part. He never really takes the initiative. We don't get to see them being very intimate.
Acting/Cast/Chemistry 7.5/10: I'm rating this a bit higher than I should because I absolutely LOVE Taishin's actor, Konishi Eito. He is ADORABLE, and he plays the whole shy uke character very well without giving it the very cringey "erm..." vibe. Takara's actor isn't bad and he's very cute, but he really lacks depth. Their chemistry is meh. Though I am unsure if that is the fault of the script or the actors.
Music 7/10: Nothing really stuck out to me.
Rewatch Value 5/10: For me personally I don't have much desire to rewatch this.
Overall 7/10: It was okay! Not much else to say about that.
**Spice Meter 2/10: You could watch this with your mom lol, there's nothing here to be shy about. There is a few on screen kisses! But they're pretty flat and closed mouth. Honestly the sexiest peak of this show was when Takara caressed Taishin's ankle lol.

if I could rate this higher than a 10 I would. only the first episode and I’m already blow away. from the acting to the visuals to the story everything about this is top tier. The opening scene having the actors with up coming series was perfect and a great way of showing off the cast. The Chemistry from AUAUSAVE is exceptional PATRYU are literally adorable and I’m so HAPPY to see James back on screen. The audition scene and bathroom scene between THIRD and WAN was perfect and the dog food at the end was like the icing on the cake.DOMUNDI HAS TRULY OUTDONE THEMSELVES ONCE AGAIN.I’m screaming its sooooo good. I’m super excited form the rest of the episode and so glad this is on Saturdays so I can truly enjoy it.

Finally Fanboy is here!!!!! I have been waiting for this for months and it did not disappoint.==========================
The beginning of this storyline is soooooo exciting and interesting. It follows a fanboy, Wan (Save), who accidentally and unintentionally gets labeled a sasaeng (tho he isn’t one, just very big fan) of Nine (James) , a popular rising actor starring in a new series paired with the best supporting actor Third (Auau). Wan learns of his family financial problems and though not at first, agrees to audition to be an actor for the same series.
First impressions of the characters. Wan is absolutely adorable. He is so cute and playful and honestly doesn’t mean any harm in being a fanboy ( side note: in no way shape or form do I condone sasaengs, but Wan isn’t one ). Third seems like a cold, hard focused and disciplined rising actor who feels pressure from his mother to succeed. Nine, from the few scenes we have seen, seems like a cocky sort of arrogant and self-centered actor who gives the audience what they want, a little disingenuously though.

So far, this series is extremely interesting and it does show some sides of the industry that may not be good: forcing a promotional pairing for a series popularity, managers fighting for and / or causing problems for their actors (i.e. managers fighting each other)
The CHEMISTRY between AuauSave is already here and it is amazing. They complement each other so well and their acting has definitely grown. Can’t wait to see where this series goes

Up to Ep 3 Thoughts / Review (mainly my thoughts hehe):
I really did enjoy EP 2, it showed the beginning of Wan’s journey in the entertainment industry and the many things he has yet to learn. Also to Wan’s manager, I sort of feel bad for her. She has to juggle both managing Wan and Renji, which only leads to some issues like Wan being late and unprepared for the workshop. This show has done well to show some struggles in the real industry.
The end of EP 2, amazing, We got Third looking at Wan with more heart and emotion, but NINE, he really is a two faced actor.
EP 3 was absolutely amazing. I LOVED IT SO MUCH
This EP gave us so many ThirdWan moments that I literally couldn’t stop screaming from their cuteness and excitement. The running scene (THEY HELD HANDS!!!!!! Third grabbed WAN”S HAND Just ahhhhhhhhh ), the inhaler scene was just too cute. And the swimming pool, THE SWIMMING POOL SCENE. They are just so perfect for each other that I can’t stop watching them.
Side thought: every time I see the manager of Third and Nine with the mushroom on their head, I can’t help but laugh Ahahshehehe
The scene with Wan learning the photo poses was just sooooooo cute. Save you are doing a phenomenal job!!!!
TO the production team of ‘The Deep Between Us’ series, why did you think that casting the main pairing in the show with two actors who don’t like each other nor have visible chemistry with each other was a good idea. Also to everyone in the team who isn’t the director, you all chose Wan knowing he was a COMPLETE ROOKIE with no experience, you knew that and yet you still complained that he was unprepared and wasn’t a great actor at the very start. HUH?????? (***This is only my thoughts towards this part of the show, I have no complaints about including or writing any of this into the series, I love it****)
AND NINE, you evil, two faced, lying, and APPARENTLY ATTEMPTING MURDERING SOB. HOW DARE YOU TOUCH WAN, he is literally the cutest most innocent human on the planet.

A Refreshing BL with a Historical Soul
As a foreigner who loves watching Thai BL series, this drama was such a refreshing watch, especially because it is rooted in a real period of Thai history. I honestly enjoyed seeing a BL story set against such an important historical backdrop rather than having the romance exist in a completely fictional world.And the chemistry between Inn (Phob) and Ongsa (Tin) is INSANE. Their chemistry felt natural, and their relationship was definitely one of the biggest reasons I stayed invested in the story.
One thing that initially confused me was how relatively accepting the setting was toward their relationship. I've watched several period BL series, and I've noticed a similar pattern: despite being set in the early 1900s to the 1950s, many of them portray same-sex relationships as being more socially accepted than I would initially expect.
But I eventually realized that this may partly be because our modern understanding of homosexuality doesn't perfectly translate to how relationships, gender, and sexuality were understood in historical Thailand. Thailand's historical attitudes toward same-sex relationships were much more complicated than simply being either "homophobic" or "accepting." Traditional Thai society had its own concepts and social expectations surrounding gender and sexuality, while the modern Western idea of sexual identity developed differently and became more influential later. So, I wouldn't necessarily interpret the drama's setting as meaning that historical Thailand was completely accepting of gay relationships. Rather, the social context was simply different from what we might expect based on modern Western perspectives.
Another thing I really appreciated is that there were no unnecessary scenes. Almost everything served a purpose and contributed to either the characters or the progression of the story. Nothing felt like it was there just to fill screen time.
The production was also impressive. I especially loved the old buildings and the way the wartime scenes were presented. The bombs, explosions, and fire actually felt convincing to me. It didn't feel overly dependent on obvious CGI, which I really appreciated because it made the historical setting feel more grounded and authentic.
That said, I really wish we had gotten more of Chat's (Tin's brother) backstory. His attitude toward everything felt like it could have had more depth, and the sibling favoritism alone wasn't quite enough for me to fully understand why he behaved the way he did. I also kept wondering: WHERE IS THEIR MOTHER?
I feel like there was a missed opportunity there. Exploring their family background and explaining why their mother was absent could have added another layer to made Chat's character more understandable.
As for the ending... the plot isn't exactly something new, and it felt quite typical of a Thai drama. I was already predicting that the recovered body wasn't going to be Phob's. So while the execution was emotional, the twist itself wasn't really surprising to me.
And honestly, I was also hoping we would get a GL storyline here! There were hints in the first few episodes that Siri and Jan had some flirty energy with each other, and I was really hoping the series would develop that relationship. Unfortunately, their story seemed to gradually disappear in the later episodes. Such a missed opportunity!
But overall, I loved it.
It has a great main couple, strong chemistry, an interesting historical setting, good production, and a story that actually respects its runtime by making most scenes meaningful. Despite some missed opportunities with the side characters and a predictable ending, I genuinely enjoyed watching this.
As a foreign viewer, this was definitely a refreshing Thai BL to watch.

Another Beautiful Historical Drama
This is one of those stories that tugs at your heart and never lets go. It is stunningly produced - gorgeous locations and costumes - and a collection of VERY talented actors. All aspects of this drama is just sumptuous! The two leads are so well paired - they almost breathe together. They both have such emotional range. The same is true of all the actors. The director allows us to get up close and almost into their personal space - making their joys and conflicts so much more impactful. I would definitely watch this again. And as for Ongsa and Inn - I would watch them in anything they do together. I hope this pairing continues. Bravo!!!!Was this review helpful to you?

ABSOLUTE CINEMAAAAAAAAAAAAA
"Even if I die thousand times, I'll always find my way back to you." -Phob. I'M NOT OKAY TTOkay, I have officially added another period BL to my list of absolute favorites. I have such a weakness for BLs set in the 1920s/30s (Century of Love, I Feel You Linger in the Air and Interminable), and The Edge of Horizon gave me EXACTLY the kind of atmosphere I love.
The story itself is definitely not perfect, though. I found the pacing pretty slow at times, and honestly, a lot of that frustration came from Tin because, BABE… THE WORLD IS LITERALLY FALLING APART AROUND YOU LUV... DO SOMENTHING!!!!!! There were so many moments where I desperately wanted him to have a little more sense of urgency because the situation was getting worse and worse, while he seemed to be waiting for the universe to solve everything for him. But I'll always defend my little prince anyway, he was under to much pressure TT
I also think the political side could have been handled in a much more interesting way. The series explained A LOT about the revolution, the political changes and the transition of government, specially how the monarchy and the people react to all of this, but sometimes it felt way too literal, almost like someone had opened a constitutional law textbook and decided to read it to me. And I KNOW it was important to understand what was happening, but some of those explanations really slowed the story down for me. Sometimes I, inevitably, ended up confused with this topic...
And I honestly think watching it while it was airing made a huge difference for me. Waiting an entire week for every episode, wondering what was going to happen to them, watching everything slowly unfold… that anticipation became part of the experience. If I had waited until it was completely finished and binge-watched it, I genuinely think I might have dropped it because of the pacing. But watching it week by week? I was INVESTED.
And after EVERYTHING Tin and Phob went through, seeing them finally get their happy ending almost broke me. I was genuinely expecting the worst until the very end because these two men simply could NOT have one peaceful day TT

Now about Princess Siri and Janthorn... I really wish they had been better developed!!! It’s a very promising couple—there’s chemistry and a solid storyline—but the execution left a lot to be desired. In the end, it wasn't clear (to me) whether they actually ended up together, and I think that counts as a flaw in the writing.
There are many questions that weren't answered well, or weren't answered at all. Some characters started out very prominent but suddenly vanished—like Siri’s father; the man seemed important to the political arc, yet suddenly, nothing more was heard about him. But the script isn't bad; it just focused more on the main arc—Tin and Phob and the "fall of the monarchy"—and overlooked or didn't give as much importance to the smaller arcs.
BUT despite this… I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS SERIES SO MUCH!!!!! They suffered, they fought, they lost time, they lost each other, they almost lost everything AGAIN… and somehow we actually got the happy ending they deserved.
So overall, to me: the plot could have been tighter, the pacing could have been better, and the political exposition desperately needed a little more creativity… But anyways, I loved the atmosphere, I loved the period setting, I loved Tin and Phob, love the photography, and I was completely emotionally invested in their story.

an office romance anyone can enjoy
I have watched 100+ BL, and I always go back to Old Fashioned Cupcake. key tags: office romance, 30+, younger seme older uke, age gapStory 10/10: I LOVE JBL'S AND THEIR STORY LINES. Old Fashioned Cupcake has SO many lines that have stuck with me to this day. For example, when Togawa says, "Did you know, the reason why a year feels so fast to adults is because every day is the same?" I think about that line all the time and say it to people constantly lol. This show taught me so much about adulthood, stagnation, and the importance of going outside of your comfort zone. Yes the sexy gay men falling in love is great too, but this show is more than that. It has something special that will stick with you after you're done watching it.
Acting/Cast/Chemistry 10/10: Love the actors, Togawa's actor has a really special boyish charm to him and Nozue's actor plays the mature uptight character very well. When Togawa messes with Nozue it makes your heart melt, Nozue gets so shy and it comes across as very cute! It feels as though the actors genuinely really like each other.
Music 10/10: Love the intro song . The music that SWELLS and then abruptly stops at the climax of the story has my heart racing. I love love love the way they used the background music in this show.
Rewatch Value 10/10: I have seen this show more times than I can count and recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a BL show for the first time.
Overall 10/10: OLD FASHIONED CUPCAKE YOU HAVE MY HEART. does this qualify as old-man yaoi?
**Spice Meter 4/10: There's not anything in here that I would classify as NSFW, there's really only kissing, so if you're looking for a show that has a lot of NC scenes, this isn't it. However, what they do include has a lot of build-up and feels rather earth-shattering when it finally happens.

A fun time
This was a fun show to watch. The drama, action, and the premise for this season of KR was very interesting to me. This is the first KR that I kept up to date with, and I enjoyed tuning in every Saturday/Sunday for a new episode. I think that around the halfway point things may have started to become a bit convoluted and the ending was a bit rushed but ultimately, this is a good show, despite how cheesy it can be and the CGI not being that good.Was this review helpful to you?
an extremely biased review (segasaki got me hooked guys)
I have re-watched this every year since it released. key tags: living together, uke indebted to semeStory 10/10: Okay listen, the story isn't anything revolutionary, but I LOVE it to pieces. At the beginning, we get attached to Yoh, who is dealing with his own inferiority complex, his confusion about his relationship w/ Segasaki, his career growth, etc. and we learn to love him, his ditziness and all. As the story progresses, we start to learn more from Segasaki's perspective, and this is where it really becomes a LOVE story. Segasaki doesn't have much conflict/storyline other than his relationship with Yoh, and it's really wonderful to watch it unfold. Especially at the climax of the story, it's so impactful because FINALLY Segasaki is so raw and honest with his feelings even though from the beginning it felt like we barely knew him. ya'll I can gush about this fucking story for forever, please watch this drama.
Acting/Cast/Chemistry 10/10: i love love love these two characters. Segasaki and Yoh are the heart of the story, and they each really hold their own. Segasaki has this sort of sadistic mischievousness to him while Yoh is more gentle and heartwarming. Segasaki is also so hot yall i don't know what else you want me to say about that and Yoh is beautiful. they're definitely both quite skinny (as is common with BL actors), but if that doesn't bother you then enjoy.
Music 9/10: Sometimes JBL's can over-do it with the background music, but they didn't do that at all here. They also aren't afraid to have no music at all which THANK GOD, it really gives the climatic/serious scenes the tone that they need.
Rewatch Value 10/10: I have watched this BL probably eight times. It's just great. It's not too long, can binge it in a day, whenever I'm in a slump and kinda bored of the BL's that are out, I always go back to this.
Overall 10/10: In my top three BL of all time. Ticks every one of MY boxes, but I can see why it may not for other's. I really, really highly recommend this show.
**Spice Meter 6/10: Don't get your hopes up people this isn't on the same level as kinnporsche lol, BUT, for the scenes that are included, I think they do an incredible job. I don't know what it is but this drama has me burning up fanning my face and pausing to take a break more than any other show! For some reason, their scenes feel SO intimate and they're a lot more charged with a kind of dominance from Segasaki's side, and that really does it for me. Kind of like a tame version of power-play. If that's your cup of tea, you will like this show.

Ollie has single-handedly given me a thing for men in fur coats. key tags: co-stars to lovers, explores dark themesStory 9/10: I liked the story a lot. It kept me hooked and due to the pacing, I binged the fuck out of this show. There are times (as with most Chinese BL's) that the plot gets a bit confusing/convoluted and maybe things are drawn out a bit much, I also didn't particularly love the ending and the unnecessary conflict they have. I think the show really hit its peak at the midpoint. Overall, I think they balanced the "show" and real life pretty well, and I didn't find myself preferring one over the other as other reviewers have said.
Acting/Cast/Chemistry 10/10: Honestly, this is what really sells the show to me. Ollie does an incredible job and I can't take my eyes off him at all, and the chemistry he has with Shu Yuan is really special. I will say the actors are very skinny which can be a bit off putting at times, but I could literally watch a 20 minute clip of them eating dinner together I don't care. When they're on screen together it's mesmerizing. Supporting cast is also excellent.
Music 8/10: I can't say that I really found the music to be anything notable but it also wasn't distracting, which can be rare for a BL lol. They keep it relatively low-key to give the actual show room to breathe.
Rewatch Value 8/10: I have watched this once by myself and once with friends! And clips on Instagram. But I wouldn't say I would watch the whole thing in its entirety again.
Overall 9/10: Maybe I am overselling it, but I liked this show a lot! Especially in terms of Chinese BL's which I can sometimes find a bit hard to get through the whole thing, Deep In really kept my attention.
**Spice Meter 9/10: In terms of the NC scenes here, they covered pretty much everything. Except I am SO PEEVED that we didn't really get to see them be intimate outside of when they're playing their characters on the show very much. However, I think this is first time I've seen a TOUNGE KISS in a CBL, I was gagged. Since Chinese BL's are voice over, I do think you miss out a bit on the real sounds, but overall, no complaints.

Bro!!!! It blew my mind. Both lead actors are good. Especially the ML. His outfits, aura and everything about him just gives perfect vibe.Also, the Direction is good. So far so good.
A good pace drama. Story is really nice. I just genuinely hope it gas happy ending and they end yp together. Because the chemistry is chemistry-ing. 🤏🏻🤏🏻🤏🏻💗❣️

My thoughts so far! [SPOILERSSSS NOT JUST DOING IT FOR FUN]
I loveddd season 1 and I'm really enjoying season 2; the chemistry between the 4 main actors is incredible. The switch between the main story and their kids in the future is really interesting and new (in a good way)! I think 4mod going down the idol route and the show focusing on idol-fan culture is really in par with GELBOYS concept since a BIG part of season one was stan culture.My current theory on who broke up is 4mod and Chian BUTTTTTTT it can always change. The reason why I think this is because 1 the actor in the beginning has brown eyes and is very asian looking, same as the actor on the facetime call with Baby (I'm guessing they're the two that broke up since the actor in the beginning nails said "miss u") so neither of them can be Bua. 2 Timethai one looks a bit like Baabin and two has Baabin's style since Baabin dresses more baggy? I guess you can say. Though they could've swapped couples like 4mod and Baabin start dating and Chian and Bua start dating vice versa, so we truly never know butttttt that's my theory.
I'm currently on episode 3 about to watch 4 but I'm scared cuz Baabin is a fan of 4mod now so I'm really scared that Baabin might fall for 4mod again and leave my baby Bua alone 😔😔😔
Anywaysss I am excited to see how this plays out since I'm LOVINGGGGG this season so far!!!!!!
EDIT: I started episode 4 and now I'm confused on my theory 😭. Like if it's meant to be Bua and Baabin that broke up its very bad casting in terms of Bua because Leon is very white looking and it's something they acknowledge in season one it wasn't like just never talked about it so they should've casted an actor that is white with blue eyes. Obviously again like I said before they could've switched couples but then why would either Chian or fou4mod keep memorabilia from when they were a couple if they're with someone else??? AHHHHHHHH WHY CAN'T THEY JUST TELL US WHO BROKE UPPPPPPP IM GOING CRAZYYY!!!
