Female leads confusion takes away the build up to the conclusion

The transition to movie felt lacking. Although acting was solid and the new soundtrack made it feel more like an original interpretation of the original anime.
Mostly felt certain strong feelings were missing , which made the anime memorable imo
Such as the numb feeling the MC got after working many years without any passion and seeking for “something” that makes him feel alive.
The other strong feeling and essence of the story was the unrequited love. The build up was there, but not impactful enough when the most important seen where both adults passing each other…

All in all I would only recommend this movie to Makoto Shinkai fans that are interested to see how the live action turned out.
But for others…. It is a lacklustre movie that is not very interesting for the general audience. My mother was confused at times… even me when we both were unsure who was the surf girl or the girl from primary school….
And the unrequited love part was kinda overshadowed by the confusion who is who….
I think this issue could be solved by focusing only on 1 couple. The surfing girl felt a bit
unnecessary. It didn’t add much to the story, except that MC is missed the mark/timing from small till now and has sort of grown/learned from his first love… it might be important to his character growth, but in the red line of the story it was more of a nuisance to me and source of confusion.

Incredibly h*rny

I've seen differences in opinion on how good and bad it is, which.. valid.
Some people believe that basically P'Sorn grooms Jun the whole time in a creepy p*d0phi!e way, but I only thought like that after watching it and seeing other people talking about it.
(That being said, I don't really feel like he was gr0oming him, I think he actually loves him, just a few of the earlier intimate scenes seem like sorn comes onto Jun quite forcefully and Jun doesn't want it so much)
Watching it before seeing that, I loved it (I do love some smutty bls but that's besides the point)

I liked jun as a character because they gave him room to grow (he didn't take all the room offered to be frank, but still) and sorn wound up being a not-terrible boyfriend in the end, and also the side characters ate down but in a cute way.

I like the way sorn handled the guy that was talking to jun (the s*x while on the phone actually made me laugh out loud).

AND I loved them actually showing c0nd0ms, l*be, and the gagging while blowing eachother is SO refreshing (wow I sound crazy) but you never see that!! And it was so well done! It really felt a bit like soft 🌽 but in a good way!?
I've watched a lot of bls, and am nearly immune to the spicy tingle at this point, but MS delivered and I still rewatch some of the 🍆 scenes when I need a little oomph! Also Jun as a power bottom is hot asf

tw: physical and psychological abuse, parental neglect

the actors were great. they were able to convery their emotions to the scenes required.

i think my main issue why i couldn’t fully love the drama is because of the storyline and its progression.

i felt like the real mother and father of the directer didn’t get the karmic ending they deserve.

the real mom just slapped some money into a certain issue and called it a day. even in the presscon scene she didn’t protect her child. like wtf.

until the end, there was no resolution to fix her relationship with him.

the father was a lost cause and honestly he deserves to be in jail. the scenes about him were so bad that just watching it makes me traumatized. to say those scenes are dark is putting it lightly. honestly, a trigger warning should be placed regarding those scenes.

the relationship between the leads were sweet, the last two episode seemed to dragged, and they could’ve written it more maturely, but they chose the very dramatic route, so yeah, not impressed with that too.

the two other supporting couples were okay to watch. but really not gripping to the story.

but still, too much of the important parts seemed glossed on… it’s like a sublte jab to reality that not all evil people get the bad ending in life they deserve.

What exactly is the point supposed to be about?

I don't know what just watched, this is one Kmovie with the most sex scenes, like what are you trying to show us? I don't get it, like how can these people not get a consequences of what I'm looking for, but the was none, I felt bad for his wife. What can I feel for a disgusting affair, or what am I supposed to feel? I don't get it, lives were ruined, mistress didn't get a consequence, the wife prolly raise the baby alone, they don't even bother to add how betrayed she felt. Omg. I don't understand this movie at all neither the good reviews, just leaving bad taste in the mouth.

First impression

I like it. It's a pretty good series. I really enjoy it so far, and I'm excited to see more. My eventual rating was 7.5 after the first episode, but I upped it to 8.5 after watching the second episode. It is definitely growing on me the more I watch.

Things I liked:
1. I like the contrast between the main characters and how they show their feelings.
2. Harutora. A giant green flag who wears his heart on his sleeve.
3. Chemistry.
4. Acting.

Things I disliked:
1. Daiki. I understand that Daiki is trying to be a good friend or whatever. But he just sounds mean, basically telling his friend to hide himself and to not trust anyone. So weird.

A good surprise

Usually i dont watch drama with 24 or less episodes, especially when each episode is 20-25 minutes, they are almost always cheap with bad writing and acting. BUT this time i dont know why i tried this one and it's a very nice surprise, its still have the problem of being too short.

The most important thing in this drama is the chemistry between the FL and the ML, very fast you forget about the global plot or side plots and you just want the scenes with the FL and Ml who are very powerfull. Even the set and the global production look very good, it's not cheap at all.

It's time to give at this FL a main role in a bigger drama!

Development is a stronghold

Honestly this wasn’t anywhere in my watchlist as I like to read synopsis and plan out what I should watch. Came across it in a readily platform, clicked and stayed to the end. Even now as it’s ended, I still have lingering thoughts.

What I liked is the way this story paced. You’re introduced the plot clearly of two young people, clearly different backgrounds and struggles, to lovers. Hundreds likened plots but the pace here is good. Writing is very good as I became engrossed in the story. There isn’t a boring part as it developed.

Loved the acting. Main leads are very natural, no overboard. Just watch. Here is a great love story of growth .
