Worth Watching a million times over.
I was already so impressed by LITM. To think it was their debut ship and both of them nailed their roles as Sasin and Saenkaew so beautifully. Such amazing actors. Then came Flower Boy. Omg! such a treat to the eyes. It is so beautiful and their chemistry just got better. I am so digging Pearl as a red flag. And Peek's eyes, just the eyes are doing all the talking. The story is also so unique. Loving every bits of it. I am so grateful they gave us a second show within one year. Something so beautiful to witness again. Love them so much their bond is so precious. My only complaint is why only 8 episodes. Please give me more episodes or tell me there is a third series coming so I can keep holding on. One of the most unique Bl's I have seen so far. PEARLPEEK fighting! SCENTGAYSORN fighting! šššššššššWas this review helpful to you?

The Disappointing De-evolution of Destined
I started watching this drama without seeing any spoilers or even a trailer, and I was genuinely impressed by the first episode. Destined started out with great promise: well-written, realistic characters with room to grow, and flaws and vulnerabilities that made them feel like real people. The ML was one of the best emotionally portrayed characters I've seen recently. However, cracks in the storytelling started appearing around episodes 10ā12, and by episode 14, the immersion was completely shattered. What began as a grounded historical romance devolved into fantasy and propaganda.
The Breaking Point: Episode 14
Episode 14 was simply too much of a stretch. The ML is suddenly fighting off a massive group of fully armed, trained soldiers and guards all on his own (his martial arts skills became way too over-the-top). Then, the FL shows up on a horse in the middle of a literal battle, maneuvering in a perilously tiny space, to escape with the injured ML. What the hell was this?
Even if the writers wanted to prove the leads' bravery and loyalty, the execution felt cheap and forced. Worse, it ruined the emotional stakes built up until then. All the themes of friendship, brotherhood, and loyalty in this episode felt like cheap ploys to get the audience's sympathy, and their deaths ultimately felt hollow and disingenuous. At least Matriarch Ye was saved from screen disgrace by having her death happen off-screen.
Broken Character Logic & Propriety
One of the most frustrating aspects is how the drama sacrifices character consistency for the sake of plot:
The Luo Zishang Situation: Earlier, Yuru asks her husband's permission just to do a business deal in a crowded restaurant (which her in-laws already approved). Yet later, she just runs off in the middle of the night, completely unescorted, just because she saw a letter.
Zero Sense of Danger: Her husband tells her to stay put (although it's laughable that he kind of just abandons her with his friend in the middle of nowhere to run off and save the day). Even if she found out their ships were exposed, what was she hoping to achieve by meeting Luo, a man she didn't even know? Her sense of safety, propriety, and status vanished entirely.
A Weak Villain: Luo Zishang has no real charisma; it feels like heās only there because the actor is handsome and has fans. The villain crying over the FL is wildly out of placeāhe knew her for maybe a few days in their childhood at best. The emotional attachment is sloppily written and unearned.
Historical Realism vs. Fantasy Power Trip
I don't expect CDramas to be 100% historically accurate, but the world needs to feel believable. Instead, the writing underplays real-life historical troubles.
Unearned Female Empowerment: The show attempts to break historical taboos regarding gender inequality but underplays the actual weight and danger of the era. The real historical weight of her situation is hidden; instead, she is grandly lifted up by society and male characters, which feels far-fetched and unfair to history.
The Vanity Issue: Aside from one major exception, the characters are always spotless and in full makeup. (I will give the show credit here: they actually portrayed the leads in a very realistic, haggard way during their perilous, arduous journey from Yangzhou to Youzhou š). But otherwise, the styling is lazy. When the female characters have to cross-dress as menāalmost a requirement in historical CDramas nowāitās like the production doesn't even try to make them look male.
The "Youzhou" Slump
Once they reach Youzhou, the characters stop being real people and turn into flawless heroes whose judgment is never wrong. They just topple the old guard and rule.
Ironically, the romance actually gets stale to watch after their misfortune. It becomes a repetitive, unnecessary subplot where the same scenes are recycled in different ways. Furthermore, the show develops a compulsive need to constantly praise the main leads and their good deeds. It happens so often throughout the runtime that it gets annoying, feeling less like character development and more like unnecessary exposition dumps to remind viewers how "perfect" they are.
Final Verdict: The characters and plot felt real at the beginning, but the writing eventually lost its way. I dropped it because the story and romance simply didn't feel worthwhile anymore.

Cute romcom to lift your spirit
Mentalese Express was one of the cutest short or full length romcom films Iāve seen in a long time. Filmed mostly in an authentic elevator recreation, the actors had to make the most of voice overs and tiny facial give aways.Ssu Tsen Li notices a handsome Japanese salaryman in the elevator she takes, a man she calls #27 for his office floor. Shinji Hayashi also notices the woman with a mole on her neck like his and pleasant-smelling hair. Terrified heāll be deported from Taiwan for being a stalker or pervert for sniffing her hair, he begins to fear their morning elevator ride as much as he anticipates it.
This short film ran the gamut of relationship stages without either character speaking more than a word to each other. Two awkward puppies overthinking every aspect of their actions and non-actions placed both introverts into romantic hell as they desperately tried to find a way to approach the other person. They had an inadvertent helper in Cologne Man who realized early on that the two were attracted to each other. Oblivious Co-Worker provided a proper female foil and source of jealousy. A rich romantic microcosm existed within the confines of a metal box. Would definitely recommend this short film for anyone who enjoys romantic encounters of the introverted kind.

Highly recommended! Loved it!
Love 911 is a truly impressive film that blends romance, action, and emotion in a very natural way. The actors delivered outstanding performancesāeverything felt real, from their reactions to the situations they faced, to the way their relationship developed. Their chemistry was strong and balanced, making the story believable and engaging. What I appreciated most was the mix of friendship, love, and sacrifice. The film also highlights the demanding and dangerous professions of a firefighter and a doctor, showing the risks they face every day. This added depth and realism to the story.
The pacing is fast, so it never feels boring. The dynamic between the main characters is especially enjoyableāshe is playful and lively, while he is more reserved and cold at first. This contrast makes their connection even more interesting.
Overall, Love 911 is a great film that I highly recommend. Itās emotional, intense, and beautifully acted.

chaotic, funny, sad, sweet and exciting!!! omgg
I wasn't really interested in the drama before, although I like the actors. I recently watched the first episode out of boredom and found it somewhat interesting. I think the drama has gotten better and better. Lately I've had to force myself to watch K-dramas, but I binged this one immediately because I love it.I love the chaotic, funny, and sweet couple, and the way she often beats him up is hilarious. With those two, it's never boring. I also cried often while watching.
I have no words we can write to express how much I love this K-drama.

Stubborn female lead, pitiful male lead - an enjoyable rollercoaster
Despite my issues with the FL at some point, I had pretty much fun watching this. There's a big bunch of very likeable characters that make the watch really easy. Plus, the costumes and even more the settings are very, very pretty! It was nice that some seemingly insignificant side characters actually grow various facets as the story moves on and becomes interesting, i.e. the 18th prince of the FL's family. You start from " I don't care" to "ok, what's your deal? I'm intrigued!". That was well done. The more people you care for in a drama, the more interesting it gets, right?
I liked the FL a lot in the beginning. Her ways of trying to get around those "iconic scenes" and change the "script" were a fun watch. But the more the story developed and the more she learned about the actually not so "bad" ML, the more she became a nuisance, because she was unbelievable stubborn in her thinking of him being the source of her demise. Yes, she was wary of the never changing script, but her stubbornness lasted a bit too long imo. I quite hated her tunnel vision on that part. Even though later on when the issue was solved, they were quite sweet together, I stayed somewhat mad at her for never properly apologizing for her previous behaviour. I was even more pissed that the ML didn't mind and instead even accepted the blame in some way.
Same btw with the emperor. What an annoying guy! Also, kinda weird how fast he changed his attitude later on despite the years (!) he spent on hating.
I think the ML was the most pitiable one in this (I cared so much for him). The more you learn about him, the more you want to solve his problems and fix or cancel his relationships with troublesome acquaintances, so he wouldn't hurt more. Well done by the actor btw, performing that, making me worry so much. Adding the FL's hostile behaviour towards him, it just breaks your heart. Even more so, when you look at all the things he's doing over the time for her, "rebooting" his whole thinking and acting. At some point you understand why he falls in love with her, at some later point you don't understand why he continues loving her.
After the said big issue was finally cleared, the story's climax was most enjoyable, with well formed characters and magnificent scenes worth being placed in the "grand finale". The drama also ended the way it actually started. It felt like a roundabout finish and I liked that (even though you actually have to wait for an after-credit scene). As far as I noticed there were no loose ends either.
I found the transition from the "original script" with the villainous ML till the end, to a newer "more worthy script" where the change of events create another better version of him quite well done. Some things and some characters might have been predictable, others were unexpected - a good balance.
I probably still forgot some things to say, but well. This review is still again longer than I actually intended...

The Romance Wasn't the Point
I only started this drama because my feeds were filled with clips of our favorite little baby, and I got curious. Going into it, I expected something light and cute, but I ended up appreciating how much of the story revolves around grief, family, and learning how to care for others. From the beginning, the drama contrasts Seon Tae Hyeong and Woo Hyeon Jin really well. Seon Tae Hyeong is someone who desperately wanted a relationship with his older brother, only to realize that his feelings weren't fully returned. Meanwhile, Woo Hyeon Jin has a loving sister but chooses to live more independently and somewhat selfishly. They feel like complete opposites in the way they approach relationships and emotional attachment.
What really connected me to the drama wasn't the romance, but the way these two people were suddenly forced into becoming guardians for Seon U Ju after the death of their siblings. Neither of them knows how to raise a child, and watching them slowly adapt to that responsibility became the heart of the story for me. Their journey didn't feel perfect or overly dramatic. It felt more like watching two emotionally unprepared people gradually learning patience, sacrifice, and affection through caring for someone else.
I especially liked seeing Seon Tae Hyeong's growth throughout the drama. At the start, he came across as distant and emotionally awkward, but raising U Ju slowly brought out a softer and more caring side of him. His development felt more meaningful to me than the romantic storyline, which honestly didn't leave much of an impact on me. I also didn't care much for the second male lead storyline, since I found myself far more invested in the family dynamic than the love triangle elements.
The biggest reason I kept watching was Seon U Ju himself. Park Yu Ho completely stole every scene he was in. Knowing they mostly let him act naturally without heavily scripting him makes his performance even more impressive. A lot of the emotional warmth in the drama came from his presence, and some of the funniest moments were when he'd unintentionally create opportunities for his uncle and aunt to grow closer.
I really loved Seon Tae Hyeong and Seon U Ju's dynamic. No matter what happened, Seon Tae Hyeong always made Seon U Ju his priority, and I think that's what made their relationship the emotional core of the drama for me. Some of the most touching moments came from watching him slowly learn how to become both a guardian and a source of comfort for U Ju.
Woo Hyeon Jin... I didn't like her character as we got further into the drama. I disliked how she didn't want to let people at her workplace know she was raising her nephew along with her brother in law. Maybe outsiders would see being in a relationship with her as "baggage" because she had a nephew to raise, but the fact of the matter is that she is raising her nephew. That's her reality, and I think it's unfair to hide this from someone she's romantically interested in because she's taking away their ability to decide whether they want to continue the relationship. I also didn't like how wishy washy she could be at times, and it sometimes felt like she was taking advantage of both male leads emotionally.
What stayed with me most wasn't the romance, but the growth and the idea that family doesn't always come together in traditional ways. The drama would've worked better if its focus had stayed on watching two people slowly learn how to become a family. I honestly think writers need to understand that not every meaningful relationship needs to turn romantic. In some ways, I feel like the drama would've hit even harder if they had kept their relationship platonic, because the emotional core was always strongest when it focused on healing, family, and learning to care for one another rather than romance. I don't have the desire to rewatch the entire drama, but I would definitely rewatch my favorite scenes.

I enjoyed it for what it is
I feel like a lot of people are judging this series based on the expectations they had in their head, instead of what the show actually is. And like⦠I get it, I was frustrated with some things too. I do wish they had taken more risks with the couples, especially if they were gonna lean into that whole āOnly Friendsā vibe. But honestly? I enjoyed it for what it is. Itās overall pretty fun to watch. I have to admit, Dean and Jack were the least interesting to me at first, but the last few episodes??? they kinda grew on me š I lowkey hoped the show would be bold enough to not keep them together, or maybe have them find each other again later when theyāre more mature.
I stayed for Rome and Raffy, but I really wish we got more depth from them as characters. Actually, I feel like thatās true for all the characters...we needed a bit more exploration overall. The first season definitely isnāt perfect, and yeah there were moments of frustration, sadness, and even disappointment⦠but at least I could understand the characters. Here, I get them, but I donāt feel as connected.
That being said, I still had fun watching it!!
P.S. Tua and Arnold were cute, but they just didnāt do it for me overall. Like I like them, Iām happy for them⦠I just donāt care that much š
P.P.S. huge props to all the actors and the crew!! you can really see the effort that went into this. Itās not my fave of the year, but I genuinely enjoyed it, and I could see the improvement in some performances and how others absolutely shined š

A Love Letter to Jeju, Healing, and Epic Love
Some dramas are enjoyable the first time around, but Welcome to Samdal-ri is the kind of drama that becomes even more special on a rewatch. I already loved it the first time I watched it, but revisiting it made me appreciate just how layered, thoughtful, and beautifully crafted it truly is.One of the dramaās greatest strengths is how immersive it feels. Itās not just set in Jeju ā it fully embraces the Jeju lifestyle, culture, and atmosphere in a way that makes you feel like a local living in Samdal-ri alongside the characters. The seaside scenery, the close-knit community, the haenyeos, the slower pace of life ā everything feels authentic and alive. The visuals are absolutely stunning, but beyond that, the drama captures the warmth and emotional texture of small-town life so well.
The storytelling is exceptional. The pacing is deliberate, allowing emotions, relationships, and past wounds to unfold naturally over time. From the very beginning, thereās a lingering tension between the leads that immediately pulls you in, and as their history slowly reveals itself, the emotional weight behind their relationship becomes even more powerful.
And at the center of it all is such an epic love story. A love that feels lived-in, complicated, enduring, and deeply human. You cannot help but root for them. Their chemistry, history, misunderstandings, and unwavering connection make every emotional moment hit even harder.
Welcome to Samdal-ri is more than just a romance drama ā itās comforting, emotional, healing, and incredibly immersive. One of those rare dramas that truly takes you on a journey.

Why The Water Is a Must-Watch Thai GL
The Water may not stick every landing in its finale, but as a complete series, it still stands as one of the most ambitious and emotionally layered productions currently within #ThaiGL. Between the chemistry of #Englot, thoughtful character development, strong production quality, and a story centered around healing, identity, and love, the series consistently aimed higher than most. MUST WATCH!!!!!
I can confidently say that Perfect Crown is one of the most breathtaking K-dramas I have ever watched. Every single episode left me emotional, speechless, and completely in awe.IU and Byeon Woo-seok truly amazed me with their chemistry. Their connection felt so natural, sincere, and powerful that it never looked like acting anymore ā they fully became Seong Huiju and Grand Prince Yi An. They absolutely deserve a Grand Prize for delivering such unforgettable performances.
What made their love story even more beautiful is how they always fought for each other and stood by one another no matter how difficult the situation became. Their relationship felt mature and healthy because they communicated honestly and resolved their misunderstandings within the same episode instead of dragging conflicts for too long. Watching them protect, trust, and comfort each other made their romance feel real and deeply moving.
The secretaries were also incredibly funny and lovable. Their chemistry with both Huiju and Yi An brought so much life and balance to the drama. Every scene with them was entertaining and memorable. Honestly, the whole cast was magnificent. Every actor gave their best effort and truly lived as their characters instead of simply playing a role. They did not just give justice to the script ā they made the story feel alive and real.
The acting in this drama was beyond superb. IU and Byeon Woo-seokās expressions, emotions, and delivery were so powerful that words are honestly not enough to describe how incredible they were. I was left completely speechless. Their visuals together were also absolutely insane ā truly too hot to handle.š„ They matched each other perfectly on screen, and I sincerely hope they work together again in another project because their chemistry is simply unmatched.
And of course, the OST deserves special praise. The music played such a vital role throughout the drama. Every song perfectly reflected Grand Prince Yi Anās love for Huiju, making emotional scenes even more unforgettable. The OST captured the longing, devotion, pain, and warmth of their love story so beautifully.
To Grand Prince Yi An, soon-to-be King, my Queen Huiju, the incredible cast, writers, directors, and the entire production team ā thank you for giving your all. We, the viewers, truly saw your passion and effort in every single episode. Perfect Crown is not just a drama; it is an experience that will stay in my heart for a very long time.šššš

Story was only okay
I canāt help that Iām shallow but I was not really here for the story. The story is only okay. Itās a kind of interesting premise at least. No, I am here for the characters, and, by all the gods and their various avatars, the CHEMISTRY. It is BONKERS. It is GLORIOUS. It kept me watching all the way through and landed this on the olā rewatch list very quickly. (I know, I know, we should care about other stuff but like I said, Iām shallow.)
In my defence: on one side, we have a literal Greek god made flesh. On the other side, we have the hottest twink to ever walk this undeserving earth. And both are great actors in their own right, such that even the plot device of one of them being able to read minds doesnāt stop the sexual tension from being ratcheted through the roof. Theyāre also kinda funny and adorable, and I was here for all the small moments they had together.
The second couple - I could take or leave them. They did an okay job but I just wasnāt as interested in them.
In summary: has some flaws, has some ridiculous plot holes, but what can I say? Itās fluffy, funny, cute and sexy. Try it if thatās your thing. (Or if youāre into abs. You can thank me later.)

I was literally CHEERING when Suriya instantly chooses to run away with Thorn regardless of what his father says. āOh so I have to pick my familyās wealth or my insanely hot boyfriend? WELP, JUST LET ME GET THE CAR.ā Man knows what he really wants, and is ready and willing to move mountains to get it.
Can I say how much I love that Thorn and Apo are two completely different people, and the same actor nailed them both? Seriously, the ending scene when they finally meet was fantastic. 10/10, no notes.
I also have a theory that, while Thorn gets to go back to be with his hunky Greek god husband, the real Apo gets Thornās life in his world and immediately took over like the boss he is. I think that story would be hilarious and awesome.
