Definitely recommend!

the series was overall an amazing series. the chemistry was on point, so was the acting. teeteepor are an AMAZING pair!

every episode is pretty long, and has good detail. i don't see any flaws with the series, and after reading the novel it really replicates what happened.

the series is a must watch if your just getting into bl, or love cheesy but sweet series like me!

(and if u haven't already, i suggest checking out the tpop group dexx! teeteepor are members, and other amazing actors as well.)

A drama I'll treasure forever in my heart.

What a phenomenal journey. This is a drama where you don't just watch, but you grow with our girl Yumi, and the whole concept of cells has been the best part, that you will not find anywhere else, it enhances your experience as a viewer to see the depth of a character.

The beauty of this drama to me lies in how real it feels while making my heart flutter. I can a 100% see everything in this show taking place i real life, nothing is extremely dramatic or unrealistic, infact you can relate to the characters a lot.

I think I'll never let go of yumi and her cells, they'll always be a precious joy to my heart, I've laughed, raged, cried and felt all sorts of emotions with her. She is funny, cute, overthinker, anxious, kind, loveable, and so much more, and that's her beauty, that's the beauty of this show, our main character is not a set of traits, she is everything, like we all are i real life, we are confused, lost, make mistakes, grow through experiences, and become better and better each day like that, that's what Yumi is.

Meanwhile Shin soon rok has been the most perfect guy we can ever imagine for our girl, he is straightforward, certain and all in for yumi, exactly what she needs. It has been crazy long time since I've felt butterflies in my stomach and kicked my feet out of joy, but Soon rok did it. I wish we had atleast 2 more eps for their dating, because it was SOOOOO GOOD, it felt extremely necessary. I literally cried when last ep ended, realising how much my heart aches that this has ended, how attached I'm to yumi and the whole drama series, and how happy I am for my girl.

I truly enjoyed season 1 and 2 as well, as we saw yumi going through all ups and down of her life, whether it be love life or career or her own self, and season 3 was the perfect end to it (honestly i would eat up 10 more seasons of this without any doubt).

I enjoyed watching Ung and babi too, they gave us different experiences, they were good, necessary in yumi's growth, but also had to go for right reasons.

And may i dare say, Yumi's cells franchise has one of the best osts out there. Throughout all 3 seasons, without a miss.

I'm gonna miss yumi and her cells so bad, I'm not really for this goodbye :(((

Good series

Stunning visuals, but make it shorter! 😭 The chemistry between Chen Feiyu and Wang Yinglu is electric, and the costumes/sets are pure eye candy. But the plot dragging is real. I felt like I was wasting time on 'filler' episodes that didn't move the needle. A 16-episode cut of this would be 10/10, but at 33 episodes, it's a test of patience.

Not the best but entertaining light watch

I watched this on a lazy Sunday without an overly critical eye and it kept my attention, which is saying a lot tbh. Full of cliches (which I like) and I didn’t hate any of the characters except the villains, decent watch but won’t be going in my rewatch list. I hate that there is a character minimum on this site
sigh

Wish it had more episodes

Scary and widely, chaotically entertaining! Mind-bending plot twists followed by suspense built so high, I almost had a heart attack.

The shining star is Se Ah, the righteous and kind FL with a painful backstory and a deep love for her friends. I love her spunky personality as she fights the malicious spirits around her. Her romance with GeonU is so adorable, they are the definition of high school puppy love. I just wish they had more scenes together. The chemistry of the friend group is amazing, as each have their own motivations toward each other.

Every character is incredibly fleshed out. With such few episodes, it's incredible how the audience comes to care for the characters so deeply in such a short time. I would rate the horror level a 6 (1 being suitable for scaredy-cats, 10 is I need a priest to exorcise my house, that shit was too scary). There are some jumpscares but it is mostly gore. The show is mainly rooted in Korean shamanism, and how its power wards evil.

A piece of happiness of something we were nostalgic for that suddenly came back

The certainty is what season 3 had that the other seasons didn't

the progression was natural and beautiful... we wanted more of course but this drama was a piece of happiness of something we were so nostalgic for that suddenly came back to us . the acting was spot on too .. i blame the writers for taking so much of sun rok's scenes away .. but the animation , the direction , tho so short but done in a way that's so perfect , you can't complain about anything but the length really .. the cells are as fun as they were in previous seasons .. also sun rok
s heart fever time and the general swear to walk her path forever this season wins you over

i love i love i love , yumi cells is nostalgic to me and has a special place in my heart .. her finally finding love is also so so special . love ouri soon rok ahhh .. he's the sweetest ...thoroughly enjoyed it ... i only wish we got more of them

i CRIED at the ending you guys ... it's been a long time coming .... shin sun rok's certainty about her from the start , after being rejected once made me cry , also the final scene with her parent's made me so giddy too .. it's only fault is that its too short

also I even love how this season cleared up the misunderstanding regarding wung .. it pretty much explained to yumi that it wasn't because he didn't love her and mirrored it .. made my heart heal a little bit
after ep 5 season 2 my heart broke watching how wung imagined it would be if he reacted differently .. this healed me , also sun rok certainty also healed what season 2 broke too aka what babi broke

for those like me who hate webtoon babi and are furious because of stolen scenes and still are hesitant to start , hear me out .... i can't begin to explain how jin young's casting was orchestrated so people will like babi because no one likes webtoon babi ...but even though i love and adore jin young ; i STILL preferred woong over him in the drama.. and then sunrook when he came along .. although sunrok's scene were taken .. many of us still loved s3 more ... so if you're like me the webtoon lover, and then a drama lover , you'll appreciate the live action .. and the animation ... it's such a good show , if you're afraid of watching all the season just watch the third but i watched it over the years not all at once so i'm sure it will be different if you binge all of them ...

9.5 is a subjective rating but that just indicates my love for it and how special it is , i knew i'd love the final season more than the rest regardless ... though the objective rating would've been a 9 or 8.5 , and season 1 was 8.5 to me and i thought it had more content regarding the cells and romance so before this wrapped up i believe objectively it's the better season however this gets a higher rating subjectively for winning my heart and yumi's forever as well ... so you just helplessly end up loving it more

also love the osts ... i love all seasons' ost they all are so good , an escape trulyyyy

I love it so much, the emotions in it are strong and deep. Every time I rewatch it, I find myself crying at the same emotional moments.
I feel like Pran’s character is very close to me and truly represents who I am. It makes me wish to find someone who would love and accept me the way Pat does.
I watched it with my soulmate, and we cried so much together. I can’t even fully express the intensity of the feelings it makes me experience.
In the end, it’s something I always come back to, because I somehow always find my happiness in it.

Cute Dumb x Dumber love story

I never expected to love this one soo much. It's soo damn cute despite the story being absolute nonsense đŸ€. Everyone in the drama is pretty much dense and don't use their brain so if you're watching this please turn yours off too.

I've watched "Golden Feather" before and i felt their acting was kinda a mess there but here i could see the improvement in their acting and chemistry despite the lack of NC scenes. I feel the roles suited them much better that GF. I can't believe i watched this in 1 go😆. Give it a go It's definitely gonna give u a good laugh

It’s impossible to predict who will sleep with whom at any moment 😭😭😭😭😭 It’s full of surprises and unexpected events, and it’s perfect for fans of drama and chaos. The acting is excellentevery cast member delivered a perfect performance, especially Neo as Boston; he completely embodied the character. And Khao’s acting in this series is absolutely amazing.

strong start but failed to become wholesome

i must say this was one of the most overhyped dramas of this year. i wont deny the starting was very good, but the writers probably forgot to draw closure or probably writers were changed in middle point.
otherwise, i don't know how they went back to cliché cdramas.
they forgot the truth behind 17 years ago, and the punishment of major criminals, but they had to make a great villain of qi min.
making a pitiful couple is a common. the character of qi min could have had a proper development. but no! the show was for fan service i guess

Cool concept, mid execution

The main concept for this series is interesting - that there exist people who are unable to see colors unless they meet a certain someone. I liked it and thought it had a lot of potential. I see this echoed in other reviews, but I have to agree that the execution is so-so. The show is limited by the 15 minute episodes, and the story has no chance to go all the interesting places it could. There's an underlying mystery at the core of the story that is not explored fully. While the main pairing has chemistry, and while I have a weakness for dark haired, pierced pretty boys (sigh), I didn't always believe them.

Cute story, cute boys, nice vibes. It's a good watch, but I wouldn't rewatch. It's not an instant classic for me, but it'll keep you entertained for an evening.

A STORY THAT NEED MORE EXPLORATION

WATCH IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
First of all, for all the people who have been with Yumi from the start don't get frustrated because people are asking if this could be stand alone.....we have seen Yumi falling in and falling out, we love the cell village but it doesn't mean that everybody have to go through same emotional journey as we have. Let me tell you the truth, I have watched season 2 before season 1 and because season 2 was interesting, cells were interesting, I watched season 1 also, not just because of Woong cameo. A good story make people crave for more. So, let them watch season 3 first then they will run back to other seasons too.

Some people are love in LOVE, more than the person, so, heartbreak is not for all.

Now coming to the review, a good wasted story, I don't know why they didn't want to explore this story, because this story needs depth, now I don't know if you have noticed but Yumi was little hesitant with this relationship too, sometime she was like yaa he likes role play then let's do that for him, I think this part needed more.

That said, the season’s biggest strength is also where it feels slightly incomplete: story exploration, especially in the central relationship between Yumi and Sun Rok. Their romance had strong potential, but the progression often feels compressed rather than deeply developed. We see the idea of their relationship more than we feel its gradual emotional layering.

Overall.........
Watch it at your risk because this story is so good that it will make you crave for more and more and wanting to rush to anyone who can complete that bridge and give this more depth.

story is set mostly between 2012 and 2013

The story is set mostly between 2012 and 2013, which shapes almost the entire feel of the show. The timeline can be confusing at times because it keeps jumping back and forth between years without clearly indicating when each scene takes place.

Zhang Xu and Lin Yusen are both quite toxic in their own ways, although Lin Yusen gradually becomes more of a green flag character later on. The actor playing Jiang Rui delivers an impressive performance, especially considering how young they are. Despite the messy timeline, the moments between the male lead and female lead are extremely sweet and intense, to the point where they are genuinely exciting to watch.

Being an optimistic dumb is better than a powerful obscured person.

I felt the relatability, because the most terrifying scenes are the slow cuts and blood shots. I am not scared but I didn't feel fear exactly - more a physical unease, the same involuntary flinch I get when someone asks me to dress their wound.

This series is good. It’s not like all horror movies or series. It's not a terrifying horror series with the sound effects or the ghost appearance. It's mostly blood oozing scenes, which made me squeamish while watching. I am not a horror fan but watch them occasionally because horror makes me differentiate reality and movie. I rarely find myself relating to characters in horror and survival shows, so without relatability I feel less attracted to them. This series made me cover my eyes, and at the same time, the characters are relatable.

Talking about acting, everyone delivered strong performances yet I personally want to mention the main lead. Actor Joen So Young, she perfectly carried me through Yoo Se A’s character arc. At first a cute normal teenager then scared one and standing against her fears and past and then finally becoming a fighter. Never felt like I was watching a series in her scenes. She perfectly embodies the character.

I could see that the characters which are optimistic are less powerful or commanding characters. Like Yoo Se A, a girl with her dream, honest and a happy relationship yet with a troubled past and Do Hye Ryeong similar, with fewer complications. These character types are present in slice of life or other genres as friend characters.

Now, if we take opposite characters Kwon Si Won and Im Na Ri. They are not inherently cruel or evil. These types of characters are most likely presented as main leads in other genres. Both characters can be Choi Nam Ra in “all of us dead" series. These characters are driven by their fears and insecurities. They lose themselves because of their fears and insecurities. If they put that fear and insecurities aside once, I can see they have a far better support system than the things they chase. That one difference landed well and made them villains, I hate them for their response but not their whole existence.

By this series, I thought being an optimistic fool was better than a powerful yet obscured person.

A swoon worthy ending but ended too quickly

There’s something quietly comforting about returning to "Yumi's Cells Season 3"—like revisiting a familiar place that has changed just enough to surprise you, but not enough to feel unfamiliar. I finished this season with a strange mix of satisfaction and reluctance. It felt complete, yes
but also a little too brief, like a conversation that ended just when you were beginning to settle into it.

Going in, I carried a bit of baggage from the webtoon. I knew certain moments had been shifted around in earlier seasons, and a small part of me couldn’t help but notice that. There was some lingering frustration there, I won’t deny it. But even with that in the background, this season still managed to win me over in its own quiet way. It doesn’t demand your attention loudly—it earns it slowly.

What stayed with me the most was the sense of growth. Not dramatic, life-altering transformation, but the kind that feels almost
ordinary. And maybe that’s why it works. Yumi feels more grounded this time, more aware of herself. She doesn’t carry her past into her present the way she once did, and there’s something deeply reassuring about watching someone learn to do that. To just
let things be. Sun Rok’s arc, too, unfolds gently—almost hesitantly—but when it finally clicks into place, it feels honest. Nothing exaggerated, nothing forced. Just two people slowly understanding themselves and each other.

The pacing surprised me. I was fully prepared to feel rushed, especially with only eight episodes, but that didn’t really happen. If anything, the first half moves with a kind of deceptive calm, almost like it has more time than it actually does. I remember thinking somewhere around episode five, “Will this really come together in time?” And yet, the final stretch—especially those last two episodes—lands with a quiet confidence. Still
I can’t help but feel that one or two more episodes would have allowed it to breathe even more.

There’s been a lot of discussion about the chemistry this season, and I suppose I understand where some of it comes from. But for me, it worked. Not in a loud, immediate way, but in something softer and more believable. The kind of connection that doesn’t try too hard to prove itself. It just exists, and if you’re willing to meet it halfway, you start to feel it. Kim Go Eun, as always, carries Yumi with such ease that it almost feels effortless. And Kim Jae Won—someone I wasn’t entirely sure about at first—ended up surprising me. There’s a sincerity to his performance that grew on me over time. Maybe that’s why their dynamic felt real to me.

I also found myself appreciating Yumi in a new way this season. There’s a quiet firmness to her now. The way she handles certain situations—especially with Jo Ho—felt
earned. Not dramatic, not drawn out, just clear and decisive. It’s a small thing on paper, but it says so much about who she has become. And yes, the editor’s nosiness did test my patience a bit—but somehow, even that felt like part of the world rather than a distraction from it.

And then, of course, there are the cells. They’re still here, still charming, still oddly comforting. Sun Rok’s cells, in particular, were a delight—his reasoning cell being unexpectedly adorable in a way I didn’t quite anticipate. I did notice that their presence felt slightly reduced this season, but I didn’t mind it. If anything, it allowed the real-world moments to take center stage without losing that signature whimsy that defines the series.

I’ve seen people say this season lacks chemistry, or that it doesn’t quite live up to what came before. And maybe, for some, that’s true. But I sometimes wonder if expectations shape the experience more than we realize. If you go in looking for a certain kind of spark, you might miss the quieter glow that’s actually there. I didn’t watch this season trying to compare—it helped, I think. It allowed me to accept it for what it is, rather than what I thought it should be.

And what it is
is something gentle. Something a little imperfect. But sincere.

If I had to describe it in a single line, I think I’d still say this:

"It feels like a soft, satisfying goodbye to a story that quietly stayed with me longer than I expected."
