Not confusing, just beautifully written.
So, I just finished watching adwad. And all I’ve gotta say, every single character is truly exceptional. From all the leads to even the most minor characters. A well written tranmigration story, that’s an absolute must watch. Truly makes you question cliches you’d usually read in a regular story. Are these characters all what they seem to be? Fuh no, and that’s exactly what this drama proves ✨I love how the villain of this drama, is literally the script itself, so well thought omg. Characters, especially the male lead is written so carefully and with such care, I’m astonished. All he does is care, he’s smart, and good god, he is so resilient and tenacious, any dumb potato will empathize for him. And can I tell you how much I love the female lead? It’s always the fl being mistreated and never her having dignity and self respect for herself. My poor babies went thru soo much 😭. Her family is just so adorable, they’re the icons of the Jin dynasty lmao.
The pacing, perfect. The story, mesmerizing, the humor? Phenomenal! I must admit, there is a bit of a pacing problem during episode 20 - 30, but nonetheless the pinnacle of its trope. I truly commend the way they’ve written the characters in this story, there’s no side character, all of them have their charms and are their own main character in their own way. and the humor never fails to crack me up, the humor never felt forced, it came so naturally!
And the ending? My goodness, a work of art. Melodramatic, yet truly utilizes the whole transmigration cliche. The drama is a must watch, for all the rom-com, drama and action fans who love c dramas. This drama is the definition of your destiny is what you define it to be, infact you are your fate. Do not sleep on this drama, it is soooo worth it! (I usually don’t rate dramas so high)

Team Shin Soon Rok!
To be honest, I wasn’t even excited to watch this drama until recently. I loved the first season so much, but Woong and Yumi’s breakup really hurt me. I liked Woong so much that I didn’t even bother watching the second season when it aired. And when Yumi’s Cells Season 3 was announced with Kim Jae-won in the cast, I was even less interested. But as the airing date got closer, I became so desperate to watch something that I felt like I had finally moved on from Woong. That’s why I started looking forward to it from April 1st… and eventually, I gave in and watched it.
And I got invested from the very first episode itself. [ completed season 2 in the middle and Babi ended up being my less favorite ]. As I kept watching, I felt like Kim Jae-won was PERFECT as Shin Soon-rok, his performance genuinely exceeded my expectations. It gave me the same feeling I had after watching Lee Chae-min’s performance in Bon Appétit.
So I LOVED this drama. I felt that deep sense of satisfaction while watching it,the same kind I had after finishing Lovely Runner, Bulgasal, The Judge from Hell, etc.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! And now I’m just sad that it’s officially ended. I’m really going to miss those cutie cells 😭

So Good… But Why So Short?
I really liked Yumi’s Cells Season 3, but honestly it felt way too short. I really wish it had 14 episodes like the previous seasons because I was just getting attached again and suddenly it was over. Kim Go-eun as Yumi was amazing as always—she makes everything feel so natural, especially in the emotional scenes. You can really connect with her character.I also liked Kim Jae-won as Soon-rok. He brought a calm and mature vibe, and honestly, their chemistry was good—it just felt more subtle and realistic rather than dramatic. It matched the overall tone of the season really well. And of course, the cells are still the best part, adding humor and making every small feeling more interesting.
This season is more slow and focused on growth than big romance, which I liked, but because of that, it needed more episodes to fully develop everything. It finished so fast and I wasn’t ready at all. I really wanted more time with these characters. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot—it’s simple, relatable, and emotional, just wish it didn’t end so quickly

Mix of explosive chemistry and comedy
Safe to say, I’m having the best time with this drama right now.I had seen the trailer when it first dropped, so it was already on my radar, but I was originally saving it until at least the halfway mark, however thanks to a very boring Friday night, I unconsciously hit play and I'm officially obsessed.
Now I have to say, I'm a sucker for office romance. The more secretive the better, like the tension alone is too delicious to watch, so I already knew this would be right up my alley. There is also the added flavour of Shin Hae Sun's character Ju In-a being the work superior and Gong Myung's character Gi Jun being the younger, ambitious and fiery junior. It was really nice seeing a decent switchup of a usually pretty overdone cliche in dramaland.
This show also had a great twist for me; it is HILARIOUS. I honestly laughed out loud so many times in the episodes that even I was surprised by the sheer volume of my laughter. Crazy...
I’m obsessed with Ju In-a. She’s such a layered character and I’m genuinely so excited to see where they take her. I’m also slightly nervous because if they ruin her badass character, I will take it personally. Women who are brutal and exceptional at their jobs will always do it for me, and she really is all that. It's the perfect role for someone as talented as Shin Hae Sun.
Gong Myoung is also surprising me in the best way possible. He’s so well cast here and he's definitely on my radar now. I loved how Ju In-a absolutely crashed into his perfect life and turned everything upside down. The way he handles the whole thing is hilarious to watch, and his comedic timing is genuinely great. I love that the show is not holding back on the humor. If anything, it’s fully leaning into it, which makes everything feel more fun. I really hope they keep that energy going.
And the chemistry is already OFF THE CHARTS. We barely started and I’ve caught myself holding my breath during a lot of their scenes (cough..the art room..cough). It’s the kind of buzzy tension where you can feel it building constantly. Their dynamic is just so enjoyable and I’m already excited thinking about where it's going to go. With a premise like this...the possibilities are endless. Also, I'm so ready to see them team up properly and do some badass auditing together which we're already getting a taste of.
Speaking of which, I’m really enjoying the audit team as a whole. There’s a lot of personality, and the team dynamics feel pretty good for now, I'm excited to see where that goes as well. The cases are also looking interesting and serve as a nice layout for the main storyline and keep each episode very entertaining. It has a detective vibe to it, which I enjoy so so much. I'm glad that the auditing parts are just as entertaining and engaging as the main leads dynamic.
I’ve always enjoyed corporate politics in dramas. The messy relationships, the quiet power plays, people being shady in suits… it just works for me. Add in the detective vibes of the audit team, and the comedy and I'm left with no choice but to be obsessed. They've just hit all the marks for me, so I have no way of resisting this show.
The only part I’m not fully connecting with right now is Kim Jae uck’s character, and his secretary. I love love love LOVE him as an actor, but something about that storyline isn’t landing for me yet. It's just falling a bit flat compared to the rest of the dynamic feel of the show. That said, it’s still early, so I’m keeping an open mind.
I'll update my review as the show goes on, and again PLEASE DON'T CRASH AND BURN.
Post Finale Update:
I think my thoughts remain the same, I adore Gi-jun and I-na's dynamic, they were so good until the very end. My only criticism would be that they kind of did let go a bit of the humor after the halfway mark, which was a fear of mine. I also really wanted to see more audits, especially more in depth ones, laced throughout the episodes to keep the fun tone alive. However, because I enjoyed the characters a lot, I CAN look past this.
The VP and his secretary remained kind of forgettable characters for me, as I predicted. They just didn't carry any impact for me and I genuinely did not care what happened to them. I think those 2 characters were the missed opportunity and the biggest weak link of this drama as a whole. I think the actors did a good job, it just came down to the characters themselves and the script in my opinion.
Overall, this was extremely fun and I loved waiting all week for Saturday to come.
(A bit of a side tangent but am I the only one who thinks Audit Team 3's Chief, kind of looks a bit like Ji Chang Wook? I think he could definitely play his dad in a future project. Or maybe it's the hair styling? Idk)

A Transmigration Drama That Actually Nailes It!
This is one of the most well-executed romance fantasy and transmigration dramas I have ever watched. I have always been waiting for a storyline where both the male and female leads transmigrate, and this show absolutely nailed it. In fact, it easily tops my list of historical romances.A Breath of Fresh Air: The Romance & Leads
What truly sets this drama apart is the healthy, cooperative romance. Unlike most dramas where relationships are riddled with misunderstandings, toxic tropes, or borderline infidelity just for the sake of "drama," this couple is a united front. Both leads played their roles exceptionally well, presenting us with nuanced, real characters who are neither over-achievers nor losers. They complement each other perfectly without ever putting the other down.
The ML shines brilliantly as a trapped tyrant puppet rather than defaulting to the typical overpowered, cold "eye-candy" idol trope. He is a normal, emotional man with genuine non-physical vulnerabilities. Desperate for love, he still maintains a level-headed mind with the utmost consideration and respect for his partner.
The FL is equally admirable. She has firm standards and self-respect, and the show brilliantly navigates the reality and restrictions of being a woman in ancient times. It handles this with nuance rather than being preachy—showing her overcoming these societal boundaries while remaining a loving, nurturing, and upstanding partner.
Supporting Cast & World-Building
The world feels incredibly nuanced and lived-in, with real consequences. The drama boasts top-tier casting, and the supporting characters are fantastic. Their individual stories are integrated seamlessly into the plot without wasting screen time or dragging out the main narrative.
Critiques: Tone, Pacing, and Missed Opportunities
As much as I loved it, the drama isn't without its flaws. First, it feels like they omitted a good amount of character-building to fit the runtime. Second, the pacing gets somewhat stretched towards the final third.
My biggest critique, however, is the visual tone. The show was shot with a vibrant, almost happy-go-lucky vibe (which might just be how the original author wrote it). However, this plot would have landed so much better with a darker, more serious, and gritty setting. A moodier atmosphere would have made their hard-fought achievements feel much more impactful and the setbacks far more doom-filled. Balancing that gritty reality with a few sprinkles of comedy would have provided a much stronger emotional grip. Additionally, they could have done a better job portraying the high stakes of being stuck in a novel—specifically, the genuine peril they would face if they were killed inside the book.
Visuals & Costume Design
Despite the overly bright tone, the costume design is absolutely chef's kiss. The Empress's bold and exquisite style is a breath of fresh air; rather than the plain, doe-eyed styling typical of many other dramas and manhuas, she truly lives up to the gorgeous villainess vibe.
Final Verdict
Even with a few missed opportunities in the setting and pacing, whatever the creative team created here is a fantastic drama. The characters' struggles feel real and grounded, the empowerment message feels natural, and the main couple killed it with their acting. I absolutely loved and appreciated this drama, and I hope to find more like it!

A mixed Salad
This series revolves around three grown women who have been friends/family for some years. I was immediately pulled into the main couple's story and looking forward to 12 episodes of what I thought would be a cute and fluffy rom-com.The episodes were moving right along, and the dynamic between the leads was spot-on, and I enjoyed many laughs. I was also enjoying the side story of the writer and the CEO.
However, towards the latter part, the story became a mess of social commentary being tossed in, and we are dealing with heavy-duty issues.
I can't say that I would re-watch this, and am giving it an 8.5 for the humor and laughs I had in the begining episodes and the ML being dreamy to look at.

Very Interesting Drama - Spirits and Humans
Spirit Master He Si Mu / Xiao Xiao (Dilraba Dilmurat) was great. She had so many challenges from extreme loneliness to betrayal to awakening senses to love. She was great in every aspect of this drama. This may have been her best acting to date. General Duan Xu (Arthur Chen) was very good. He delivered great battle scenes and fights. He single-handedly destroyed the enemy army of over 200 thousand soldiers. He brought Spirit Master's five senses to life by sharing them with her. Yan Ke (Miles Wei) was so good with his acting. He wanted Spirit Master He Si Mu's heart, but he could never get her love. It drove him mad that she loved a human, but not him. One of my favorite characters was Jiang Ai (Zhang Li); she was fun and she stuck up for the human Duan Xu. She always mentioned him to Spirit Master He Si Mu to stir up her feelings for him. Duan Xu and Yan Ke had a few scuffles between them, mostly because Yan Ke was so jealous of He Si Mu's love for Duan Xu. He Si Mu really tried not to fall in love with the human, Suan Xu, but his love and senses made her fall in love with him. She helped him whenever he needed her, but she was hurt that he did not call her name when he was in trouble. She destroyed Yan Ke, who had previously trapped her in her spirit room. She did break out and showed him that her power was still much greater than his. The wedding between Spirit Master He Si Mu and Duan Yu was a spectacular sight. They had their wedding in the spirit realm and the other spirits seemed very happy with the pairing. They even mentioned that the bride and groom were a match made in heaven. Duan Yu gave Spirit Master He Si Mu all five of his senses as a betrothal present. She gave up her position as spirit master. He Si Mu and Duan Xu spent time alone, before he died. She was so distraught with grief that she froze the surrounding area with ice. She decided that she would not bury him with her over twenty-two former lovers, but next to her parent's tomb. She would travel the mortal realm. The spirit of duan Xu found its way to He Si Mu and they travelled together. She hoped that the spirit was his and that he would one day come back as human. The rewatch value of this drama is very high. Was this review helpful to you?
Starts out surprisingly brutal, but fizzles out after the first two episodes.
Finally a high budget horror kdrama. Started out great and surprisingly brutal, but kind of lost me a bit as it went on.I didn't really care much for the fl, her character was kind of bland. The mix of high school drama and horror worked well together though.
I feel like the horror elements were interesting, but they should have kept it more simple. It's also not very scary after episode 2. It also borrows heavily from other movies like 'Countdown' for example.
Still worth a watch and certainly entertaining. Give me more!

Sun Rok
Yumi's cells has been one of my favorite Korean dramas, so much so that I have purposely avoided the webtoon as to not affect my opinion. From the very first season I have been aware that Soonrok was endgame, but other than his name I didn't know anything about the character, so I have been looking forward to him to finally show up.
In season 1 I fell for Koo wong pretty quickly, how could I not just look at that man! Ufff!!! I was skeptical about Yoo Bobby, I highly doubted that he could top Koo wong, but he got to me so bad, that I actually cried in season two, I hadn't even noticed but I had fallen for him, hard. I felt real life heart break for Bobby.
Now Sun Rok, I don't understand why he was hyped up so much, I didn't understand why Yumi liked him so quickly it wasn't until episode 7 when I started to warm up to him, and it's most likely deliberate, I'm probably missing the point but I wish we would've seen more of his laid back cute side in the previous episodes, just glimpses here and there, or maybe if it were 10 episodes instead of 8, or if I had waited instead of watching week by week. I avoided reading the webtoon and still ended up comparing the two versions somehow.
Still I really enjoyed this final season, although it left me wanting more and probably will watch the whole thing again, or maybe even finally read the webtoon.

This did not disappoint!
I've been getting a lot of hype about this always appearing on my fyp in tiktok and decided to watch it because the cover seems decent. Like the vibes were giving 'half english, half Filipino' speaking and I was right. I told myself if I didn't like it I'd stop watching it immediately. But I didn't and when I finished this it really came as a surprise to me. Since I'm someone who doesn't watch Filipino dramas like AT ALL but I liked this one bc they spoke in conyo or mostly English at times, not in difficult or deep Filipino. But I liked this one. When I found out that this was a live adaptation from a wattpad series originally I aas even more surprised and curious, bc I'm not really a big fan of wattpad but I've read checked out the wattpad series of this one. Found out it's other live adaptation of books has come out and went immediately to watch it. Since then I really became obsessed with this series and I really love their friendship, hoping that one day I'll have the same circle of friends such as all of them!(Heaven really portrayed luna very well, it's like VERY HER. Herself in the past when she was crushing on Kalix and was so straightforward towards him is a part of Luna that I saw myself in. The way she screamed and yelled because she got butterflies!! And Sevi, seriously lol they're all getting jealous of you lmaoo)

Too Short, Still Beautiful
Yumi’s Cells Season 3 continues the story of Yumi in a noticeably more mature and introspective tone than its earlier seasons. While the first two parts leaned more on romantic excitement and emotional highs, this season shifts toward a quieter, more reflective exploration of adulthood—success, loneliness, and the subtle feeling of something missing even when life seems stable. Yumi, now a successful writer, feels emotionally stagnant, and the narrative carefully unpacks that emptiness through both her real-life experiences and the ever-charming animated “cell village.” The creative blend of live-action and animation remains the drama’s strongest identity, continuing to make internal emotions feel tangible and relatable. The introduction of a new romantic interest brings a fresh dynamic, though the chemistry may feel more subdued compared to previous relationships. Instead of immediate sparks, the connection develops gradually, focusing more on emotional understanding than dramatic tension. This slow-burn approach adds realism but also contributes to the pacing issues that some viewers might notice, especially in the earlier episodes where the story feels slightly stretched. However, as the season progresses, the narrative gains more depth, and the emotional payoff becomes clearer.
What makes Season 3 stand out is its honesty. It doesn’t try to recreate the same excitement as before but instead embraces growth and change—even when that growth feels uncomfortable or quiet. It reflects a stage of life where love is no longer just about butterflies, but about timing, healing, and self-awareness. While it may not be as immediately engaging or emotionally intense as the earlier seasons, it offers a more grounded and thoughtful perspective on relationships and personal fulfillment.
Overall, Yumi’s Cells Season 3 is a slower, more contemplative continuation that may not appeal to everyone, but for viewers who appreciate realistic character development and introspective storytelling, it delivers a meaningful and relatable experience.
I honestly wish Yumi’s Cells Season 3 had 14 episodes like the previous two seasons. It felt so good while watching, but it ended way too fast—I wasn’t ready for it to be over. Just when I started getting fully invested in Yumi’s journey again, it was already wrapping up. The pacing already felt a bit slow at times, so having a few more episodes could’ve given more depth to her emotions, the relationship development, and even more screen time for the cells (which are literally the best part). Overall, it left me satisfied but also wanting more—like the story still had space to breathe if they had extended it a little.
I WANT MORE EPISODE 🥺🥺

First time watching a kdrama where the couple doesn't break up
I've watched plenty of Kdramas where the leading couples always break up for whatever reason, so when they never did I was surprised which made me love this more!I didn't expect this pairing but they were actually really good.
I love the OST as well. Definitely on my comfort shows list, planning to rewatch again.
Aside from the main couple, I loved the second couple and they surprisingly looked good together and have such a great chemistry!
Some people said it's boring but I guess it's just not their cup of tea.

I LOVE THIS!
It's honestly such an eye opener of the consequences of teenage pregnancy but I really like it how both of them took responsibility even though they struggled. They are such a good looking perfect couple, such good people and good parents as well. I didn't expect to love this as much as I do now, despite the fact that I don't like Lee Do-hyun always being associated with older women... I REALLY LOVED HIS ACTING HERE! Alot of the characters had very good character development while some people who were bad did go to jail. Honestly it's my first time watching a kdrama wherein teenage pregnancy at 18 is shown and alongside the struggles that they had to endure just to make ends meet. I love how the ml got to play basketball again even while he could and the fact that he was with his family all the time without them knowing. He is a good man for not leaving his woman back when she really needed him and instead took responsibility like a partner should do. ANOTHER KDRAMA THAT MADE ME RAISE MY STANDARDS IN A MAN. Didn't expect it to be this good but mostly I skipped watching the fl with ji-hoon. Anyways, aside from that it's somehow an eye opener about marriage. Was this review helpful to you?

The meaning of Life in Death.
One of those movies, I want to keep a personal copy of because it's so deep and profound at its exploration of the meaning of life and death, grief and all about being a human being. It uses its characters, setting and props to tell a deep story. (broken phones, tombstone, remains, space, garden, dumpster)."The fact that he sold his most expensive tombstone for a pet, while people couldn't afford it and that there was a whole department of uncollected human remains people with no name in the end.
I personally think being a human being is a ridiculous burden that a few people feel.
It was both funny and profound, the way you just didn't have personal space reminded me of what all humans need.
The movie explores life and grief and what it means for different people. How do you get closure, how do you mourn for people you loved and people you hated.

Wasted potential due to rushed ending.
Great for the first six episodes, but damn the ending felt rushed. I hate to be the one to say it, but this needed to be longer. Still, it's an enjoyable show with great acting and chemistry, but I kind of found myself wishing for better plot development and a more satisfying ending for Yumi. Soon Rok is my favourite ML of the show so far, but the writing forces him to make some questionable choices in the final two episodes, while Yumi kind of has to go along with it. I feel like the actress Kim Go-Eun didn't get all that much to work with, as her character didn't make as much progression as I'd hoped.4/5 | B+
