Story line, acting
Honestly i have watched many bl dramas and this is so perfect. This doesn't show how they met or anything. It shows how they are staying in love, how they overcome their problems and how they chose to stay with each other every time. It's rare in bl dramas. The acting of perth santa was everything, Santa's acting of sun then acting like solar while being sun showed how good of actor he is. This drama is so underrated!! It needs more recognition. In my point of view this series is not only series anymore it holds feelings, there not a bad thing of this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
BEST SEASON
Yumi’s Cells Season 3 is easily one of the most heartfelt and satisfying installments of the series, proving once again that the blend of live‑action storytelling and 2D animated cells is a formula that never disappoints. Even if someone hasn’t watched Seasons 1 and 2, this season stands strong on its own because of its emotional clarity, relatable character arcs, and the charming world inside Yumi’s mind. This season dives deeper into Yumi’s growth — not just in love, but in her identity, career, and emotional maturity. What makes it special is how honestly it portrays the messy, confusing, and beautiful parts of being human. The cells, as always, steal the show. They’re hilarious, dramatic, and painfully relatable, acting out the inner chaos we all experience but never say out loud. Season 3 gives them even more personality, more conflicts, and more moments that make you laugh one second and tear up the next.
The writing feels tighter, the pacing smoother, and the emotional beats more grounded. Yumi’s journey feels less like a romance drama and more like a coming‑of‑age story for adults — one where heartbreak, healing, ambition, and self‑discovery all collide. The chemistry between the cast is warm and believable, and the animation team once again delivers expressive, vibrant cell sequences that elevate every scene.
What truly makes this season shine is how confidently it embraces Yumi’s independence. It’s not just about who she ends up with — it’s about who she becomes. And that message lands beautifully.
If you’re hesitating, don’t. Don’t overthink it. Just watch. Season 3 is heartfelt, funny, comforting, and deeply human — a perfect reminder that growth is messy, love is complicated, and your inner cells are always cheering you on.

Re-Watch value keeps rising.... 100%
STAR & SKY: STAR IN MY MIND
Dunk & Joong are natural born actors!
I love this drama so much, I had to watch it again 😋 ... I enjoy this couple #Dunk & #Joong or as their fans put them #JoongDunk. Don't understand how they choose whose name goes first etc... 🤣. Yet in my book he is my bias... I would go #DunkJoong 😉
It's funny how when you first watch it, the 2nd or 3rd time you watch it... you see or hear things that you didn't pick up before & the understanding of the situation was a bit clearer.
It brought out how much the misunderstandings between the two characters Dao & Kleun slowed down their relationship to go forward. And even now... this annoys the heck out of me ... 😉. (The downside of watching a drama... is you see the full story, but you can't shake the person and scream ... "You got this all wrong!!!" or "Oh my goodness, can you just speak up and tell him the whole truth!!!" The number of times tears started to form ... is ridiculous lol.

My Comfort Series: A Final Review of Yumi's Cells
Yumi's Cells (Seasons 1–3): A Love Letter to the OrdinaryThere are series you watch and forget, and there are series that stay with you — ones that feel less like entertainment and more like a friend. Yumi's Cells is the latter. A Korean drama that follows the inner and outer life of an ordinary woman in her 30s, told partly through the animated cells that live inside her mind. It ran for three seasons, and this is my final review of all of them.
Relatability & Representation
What immediately drew me to Yumi's Cells was how effortlessly I saw myself in the protagonist. Yumi is a regular woman in her 30s — middle class, a reader, a writer, someone navigating love and everyday life with quiet sincerity. She's not extraordinary, and that's exactly what makes her extraordinary. Watching her feels less like escapism and more like companionship.
Aesthetic & Visual Charm
The show's pastel color palette is a visual hug. Every frame feels warm and intentional, perfectly matching the emotional tone of the story. As for fashion, seasons one and two delivered outfits I genuinely admired — they felt true to Yumi's personality. Season three, however, leaned a bit too mature and stiff for the character I'd grown to love. A small disappointment, but noticeable.
Soundtrack
Possibly my favorite soundtrack of any series, ever. The music is tender, romantic, and playful all at once — it doesn't oversell the emotion, it just quietly elevates every scene. I find myself going back to it long after the episodes end.
Love & Relationships Done Right
Romance in Yumi's Cells never feels like a formula. The relationships are messy, genuine, and layered in a way that most romantic comedies don't dare to attempt. The show's real focus — the inner world of Yumi — keeps everything grounded. Love here feels earned, not manufactured.
The "Cells" Concept: Introspection as Entertainment
As someone who is deeply aware of their own emotions, the cellular universe inside Yumi's mind was one of the most beautiful creative choices I've encountered in a series. It takes self-reflection and makes it warm, fun, and light. You don't just watch Yumi feel things — you feel them with her, through tiny animated beings that somehow explain everything.
Season 3: Rushed, But Still Meaningful
I'll be honest — seasons one and two felt more complete. Season three moved too fast. The relationship at the center of this final chapter deserved more room to breathe, and I especially would have loved to see Yumi planning her wedding — those small, meaningful moments that make life feel real. The pacing robbed us of that.
Final Thoughts
Yumi's Cells is, simply put, a series that fills you up. It's warm, introspective, imperfect, and deeply human. Even its flaws feel like part of its charm. It doesn't try to be grand — it tries to be true. And in doing so, it becomes unforgettable. This is my comfort series, and no matter how many times I return to it, it always feels like coming home.
⭐ 10/10 — Close to perfection, and my favorite series of all time.

What a way to close out a series
Season 3 was quick and really wonderful. I enjoyed the animated cells, the pacing, the cinematograpy, and of course, getting to see more of Yumi's journey. They gave her quiet and confident character development. The love story was so sweet and fresh. I loved seeing the return of a couple cast from the past -- honestly wish their were more of those moment which may have only been possible if their were more episodes. Was this review helpful to you?

A lavish series in every sense of the word. Very slow, too slow. Boring, one-dimensional characters who are a pain to watch. A super basic plot, a Monte Cristo-style revenge story we've seen a thousand times before. However, it varies slightly because the heroine finds herself caught up in someone else's revenge (her adoptive mother’s) and breaks free from it without much effort. In fact, nothing really serves as an obstacle or a climax in this story. Most of the time, you're just waiting for it to end.If the point was to make me hate chaebols, I already hated them before. Missed the mark.
If the point was to see a deadly, venomous Seo Yea-ji with a slender figure, then mission accomplished. Yoo-sun looks extremely elegant despite her unlikable character. I only watched for the two of them. The rest of the cast is boring to the extreme.
Episode 1 ended up being the most interesting, thanks to its editing that jumps between different time frames. And yet it still felt very slow for no good reason. Next, the synopsis misleads us a bit by saying that Lee Ra-el isn't rich. She's fully part of the world of the wealthy that she wants to destroy. (Or else, I'd be happy to be poor like her) And by "destroy", I mean "break up a marriage that was already broken from the start." Nice work, young lady !
Their whole Piazzola bandoneon thing, I don't get any of that nonsense. Their whole tango thing, what a bore !
And the age gap. I won't say anything rude, but I still think what I think.

a short but intriguing mystery
There were plenty of plot twists and a solid story about childhood friendships into adulthood. A lot of guessing along the way - a whodunit type of drama, although clearly the culprit was identified -- but that was not the end of the drama. Really enjoyed and felt the story was complete -- not rushed at the end or questions left to be answered. Thoroughly enjoyed this drama and would recommend. Was this review helpful to you?

Started off great and then...
The initial episodes and scenario that brought the main cast together was fantastic. There were interesting villains, great action scenes, great pacing, and a good comradery growing within the team. But then it just slowly started going downhill along with the pacing. The main ML/FL who initially gave a great impression as to their individual characters also just slowly became mush. The plot has multiple underlying mysteries occurring which in itself is interesting. There are also some supernatural aspects that were acceptable until it got a bit out of hand later into the episodes, such as the ghost boy becoming a small person from being injected by the devil and then easily being back to his normal from the ML's miracle healing abilities. They want you to believe he's a miracle healer but when his FL takes a couple of hits to the chest, he's unable to heal her. The plot also tends to jump between different scenarios between the political aspect and the different characters but it started to feel really choppy and disconnected.
I think this is still a watchable series but I've lost interest mostly because the characters of the ML/FL became quite dull.

Healing Without Noise
Summer Strike is one of those dramas that slowly grows on you in a very quiet way (I went into it without even checking the genre properly, just knowing it was a countryside drama, and that definitely shaped my expectations). I was honestly expecting something soft and fluffy, but it turned out to be much more introspective and grounded. It’s not just about romance, it’s about life, choices, burnout, loneliness, and the kind of healing that happens in small, almost invisible ways. The story follows a woman who hits a breaking point and decides to just… stop. She leaves everything behind and moves to a quiet village with no real plan other than to exist and breathe. And honestly, that’s the vibe of the entire drama. Nothing huge happens, but at the same time, everything is happening. It feels very much like real life where you’re not always evolving in big visible ways, but something inside you is slowly shifting.
One thing this drama really made me think about is decision-making. The choices people make in life can look completely different depending on who is watching. Someone might think your decision is ridiculous, while someone else might envy you for having the courage to make it. At the end of the day, every decision is personal and shaped by your circumstances, your emotions, and what you are going through at that moment. And sometimes, it’s not even big events that push you to decide something life-changing. It can be a small conversation, a quiet moment, or a simple action from someone who walks into your life and unknowingly helps everything click into place. That’s what this drama captures so well. Everyone is just going through life, making choices, appreciating some, regretting others, and often feeling anxious about what comes next.
The male lead fits perfectly into this world. He’s quiet, reserved, and carries his own past, and their relationship develops in the most gentle and natural way. There’s no intense, dramatic romance here. It’s soft, awkward, and comforting. Watching them slowly open up to each other feels more like watching two people find peace than fall in love. Their dynamic is very “quiet love”, something steady and safe rather than passionate and overwhelming.
One thing I really appreciated is how the drama treats introverted characters. They’re not shown as weak or lacking, just different. People misunderstand them because they’re quiet, but they stay true to themselves, and that felt very real. As someone who relates to that, it was honestly comforting to watch.
But this drama is not just calm and pretty. It deals with some heavy themes like trauma, loss, mental health, and even crime. That contrast can feel surprising because the tone is so peaceful, yet there’s this underlying darkness. Sometimes the mystery aspect felt a bit distracting from the main emotional core, but it still added another layer to the story.
The side characters are another strong point. The village feels alive, and everyone has their own story. Some of them are warm and comforting, others frustrating and human. Even the characters that annoyed me at times still felt realistic rather than just there to create drama.
The pacing is definitely not for everyone. It’s slow, very slow at times, especially in the beginning. You might feel like nothing is happening, but that’s kind of the point. It’s a drama you have to sit with rather than rush through. If you’re expecting constant plot or big twists, this might feel boring. But if you’re in the right mood, it can feel incredibly peaceful.
At its core, this is a story about stepping away, about choosing yourself, and about finding comfort in the simplest things. It doesn’t try to give you a grand transformation or a dramatic ending. It just shows you life as it is, messy, quiet, sometimes painful, but still worth living.
It’s not a drama for everyone, but if you connect with it, it really stays with you.

A masterpiece that keeps you hooked
The series is a masterpiece, and I couldn’t stop watching. The actors are exceptional, and the viewer becomes fully immersed, truly believing in the story. The chemistry between the actors is palpable and grows throughout the episodes into a very well-built connection. The setting is interesting and breaks away from the usual BL tropes. I hope season 2 comes out as soon as possible, because it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this eager while waiting for a new episode. Was this review helpful to you?
A Love Story That Finally Feels Right....
Yumi’s Cells Season 3 continues Yumi’s journey as she grows both personally and professionally, all while navigating a new chapter of love. As her world expands, her ever-chaotic (and lovable) cells are back to guide her through emotions, decisions, and the ups and downs of a relationship that slowly blossoms into something meaningful and real.I was absolutely in love with this season. It felt like everything Yumi had been building toward emotionally finally came together in a way that was satisfying, warm, and genuinely comforting to watch.
If anything, the only downside is that it was just 8 episodes...it honestly could have easily been 12. Once the romance really got going, I wasn’t ready to let go, especially because the chemistry between the leads was so natural and easy that you just wanted more time with them.
Story — 9/10
This season feels more focused and emotionally mature, tying together Yumi’s growth in a really satisfying way. It doesn’t rely on unnecessary drama, instead choosing to highlight the beauty of steady, evolving love.
Acting — 9/10
Kim Go Eun continues to absolutely own this role, bringing so much nuance and relatability to Yumi. The male lead complements her perfectly, and together they create a dynamic that feels effortless and believable.
Romance — 9.5/10
The romance in this season just hits differently. The chemistry between the leads is so natural, and they truly feel like a couple that fits, once it gets going, it’s soft, genuine, and incredibly easy to root for.
OST — 8.5/10
The OST blends beautifully with the tone of the series, enhancing both the emotional and lighthearted moments. It may not be the most standout soundtrack, but it perfectly supports the storytelling.
Overall Vibe — 9.5/10
This season has such a warm, comforting, and emotionally satisfying vibe. It feels like watching someone finally get the love they deserve, and it leaves you with that soft, happy feeling that lingers after the final episode.
Yumi’s Cells Season 3 feels like a reward for sticking with Yumi’s journey. With beautiful chemistry, a grounded love story, and emotional payoff that truly lands, this season is easily one of the most satisfying and honestly, I just wish we had more episodes to live in that happiness a little longer.

Classic Rom-Com that Reminds You of the Good Old Days
Firstly, if you want to watch a drama with deep plot, heavy palace politics and angst, I’m afraid to say that you are watching the wrong drama. Perfect Crown is silly, cute and fluffy – it’s a rom-com, it’s supposed to be like that. Perfect Crown does not promise an intricate plot and complex characters, what it promises is a fluttering romance and lots of giggles and laughter which it delivers to a perfection.Seong Huiju is a stubborn, strong-willed and driven character who demands every opportunity that her rivals enjoy. She is not fighting for social equality, but for what she deems as her right. She is kind in her own way, as well as selfish in her own right. Her character is not written to be relatable or even liked, but to be enjoyed.
Prince I-An on the other hand is the epitome of perfection. Unlike Huiju, he is supposed to be liked - both by the viewers and the other characters within the drama. It’s quite literally in his job description. He is pretty, kind, regal, sassy and a hopeless romantic, what else do we need? But he also has hidden ambitions. I-An has always been forced to dim his shine so as to not overshadow others and has an unspeakable desire for power which only Huiju understood.
The overall plot is pretty straightforward, it’s neither novel nor unpredictable. It does not force you to think deeply but allows one to simply enjoy the ride. The romance is fluttering, the comedy actually delivers and there's just enough suspense and plot to keep the story moving. It takes tropes that we have already seen many times before and does it so well that you can’t help but appreciate it and bathe in the nostalgia of the old rom-coms that we used to love so much.
The drama does not bank on natural acting and realism but rather relies on exaggerated scenarios, expressions and dialogues to create drama and comedy. Again, that’s the genre, it does not translate to bad acting. IU and Byun Wooseok are both talented actors and they balanced the dramatic and exaggerated expressions, as well as sincere and heartfelt moments really well. The other cast members also did a wonderful job here to make it a fun and interesting watch.
Perfect Crown is visually pleasing with beautiful cinematography, stunning costumes and pretty styling. I especially loved I-An’s outfits with the fusion of traditional and modern style. The OSTs are also really good and matched the tone of this drama really well.
Honestly, I understand the people who wanted Perfect Crown to be more than a silly rom-com. This drama has an interesting premise with modern day Joseon dynasty and constitutional monarchy, social hierarchies among nobles and commoners, and characters with dubious intentions. Was there a huge potential for a complex plot to be explored? Absolutely yes! In a different genre, it would make a really gripping story. But do we need it to be explored here? Not really. This drama is, by all rights about the romance between Huiju and I-An, anything and everything else is subsidiary and simply not the point. If you love plot-driven dramas with depth, there are hundreds of dramas out there for you to enjoy but I think it's unreasonable to expect a drama to be something it never promised.
Now, I'll admit Perfect Crown wasn't quite perfect either. It has its fair share of flaws and personally, the final arc could've been done better. The writing fumbled near the end; the pacing got a little shaky, character motives fell flat and a few loose ends were left unattended. Given the buildup of the first 8 episodes, I couldn't help but feel a little unsatisfied with how they decided to wrap up the story.
But did I still finish the drama smiling? Yes, I did! Despite the flaws, Perfect Crown was totally worth the watch. Just know what you are getting into - don't expect an intricate plot and complex characters, don't try to analyze everything and just enjoy the ride. Watch this for the romance and giggles, and you'll find Perfect Crown to be one of the best rom-coms made as of late.

Funny
I am on episode 6 and I laughed so much until now.If you just look at it as a light-fun drama, you can really enjoy it. I have no idea where this is going, but I am enjoying every minute!
I am usually not into pure comedy, when it comes to kdramas, but this one is purely enjoyable for me.
I will update my review once I finish it, but it has been an absolute pleasure until now.

kdramas have been disappointing me a lot lately. but with Yumi’s Cells Season 3, for the first time in a long time, I was able to watch a kdrama without being disappointed in a single thing. there was not one boring or disappointing moment, it was lovely from beginning to end.
I know a lot of people had their reservations with the pacing and/or how rushed or unnatural it felt for them to fall in love with each other so fast. but to me, it was oerfect. we see that Soon Rok has basically liked her from the very beginning, but he didn’t want a workplace relationship and was trying to draw the line. as for Yumi, even though it felt like she went from hating him to liking him so fast, it didn’t feel unnatural to me. sometimes all it takes is one simple moment for you to fall for someone.
Go Eun as Yumi was as amazing as ever. Yumi finding no joy or excitement in anything was so relatable. her cells coming back to life from Soon Rok’s presence from just how much he was pissing her off was so entertaining to watch😂
Soon Rok’s ability to compartmentalize his work life and private life was so impressive. his robotic expressions and lack of social skills in the beginning was HILARIOUS. but the moment he decided to let go of his principle of not pursuing a coworker, he became a whole new person lol.
Kim Jae Won as Soon Rok was so amazing! I know a lot of people doubted his abilities when his name was announced as the cast. but he really proved why he was chosen for this role (especially with the last two episodes). the way he can switch from boyfriend Soon Rok to professional Shin PD so fast is insane! he pulls off the role of a lovesick puppy sooo well omg. i need to see him in more roles like this!
the cells of both characters were just so freaking adorable! Soon Rok’s village was so entertaining to watch. the utter chaos when Soon Rok confessed lmao. Yumi’s naughty cell writing “noona” with her butt and Soon Rok’s SuperMan-like naughty cell appearing from space took me out 🤣 i could watch a whole another season starring the cells alone lol.
my only problem with this season was…why so short? we deserved to see AT LEAST two more episodes of Yumi and Soon Rok, since this is literally the last season and the end of Yumi’s story. sigh. aside from that, this was a perfect wrap up to the show!
Yumi and her cells, you will be missed!
PS. I initially gave this a 9 while it was ongoing, but decided to make it a 9.5 after watching the final 2 episodes! no other kdrama has made me feel this good in a long time🥹

Definitely recommend!
the series was overall an amazing series. the chemistry was on point, so was the acting. teeteepor are an AMAZING pair!every episode is pretty long, and has good detail. i don't see any flaws with the series, and after reading the novel it really replicates what happened.
the series is a must watch if your just getting into bl, or love cheesy but sweet series like me!
(and if u haven't already, i suggest checking out the tpop group dexx! teeteepor are members, and other amazing actors as well.)
