Best gunfight sequence ever in Korean cinema
It is unbelievable how ridiculously great this movie is, it has every aspect it needed to become an absolute peak of a cinematic event. Right from the initial setup, the effectiveness of its storytelling, extremely remarkable character development and that mindblowing intense chemistry between characters from different political backgrounds, solidly built action scenes in high adrenaline threat and also the best gunfight sequence ever in Korean cinema, it even has that art factor with beautifully shot European cityscapes and classical soundtrack. This movie just ticks all the right boxes and currently stays right at the top of the best release this year. Was this review helpful to you?
Is society the problem, or was this man just a failure?
There was a specific vision and style to this movie, and even if it did not match my taste, I do appreciate it more than a movie that is made with no specific viewer in mind - for everyone and for no one.Sadly even if I respect the distinctive style of directing, the movie with all the attempts at social commentary, felt rather empty. Capitalism - bad, pressure put by social norms - bad, greed for success with no actual values behind it - bad. No real nuance, no depth. I do like how No Other Choices focuses on the struggles of men and how, even if we slowly give up on outdated ideas, the thought of the man being the head of the family that has to provide no matter what, as if that was their only value, can still affect many people. I just wish they presented that in a less obvious and in your face manner. Making Yoo Man Su even a tiny bit likable would be great too.
I honestly think Yoo Man Su was the biggest issue I had with the movie. Because no one had it supposed to have a larger social commentary, but at the end of the day it’s a story about a man with low self esteem that acts like a permanent victim trying to justify every action he takes. I want to feel bad for him, but he was so dislikable I actually wished him failure. Making your main character both unlikable and morally corrupt is a risky business. For how long the movie is, I wish they spent more time establishing that Man Su is in fact just a normal man, and not a complete failure. And yet, I kept thinking - society sucks, true, but in this story this man is the problem, not the society.
That said, performances for sure carried the whole movie. Especially Son Ye Jin as Mi Ri.
I don’t really have many grand thoughts about this title. Went to the cinema, considered walking out maybe 2 times, finished watching and that’s it. I would not call it food for thoughts, it was decently entertaining.

I’ve watched a lot of dramas, but this one seriously tests your patience. **My Boss** tries way too hard to look cute and wholesome, and ends up becoming unrealistic and frustrating.
Let’s talk about the male lead. He’s written like some “perfect green flag” — soft, caring, calm — but suddenly flips into an overreactive, irrational person when the plot demands it. A lawyer who should be logical and composed decides to escalate things to the police over a personal situation, fully knowing it could destroy someone’s career? That’s not intensity, that’s poor writing.
The biggest issue is inconsistency. Characters don’t behave like real people — they behave like puppets. One moment they’re mature, the next moment they’re making decisions that make zero sense, just to create drama. It feels forced, artificial, and honestly a bit insulting to the viewer’s intelligence.
The love triangle and jealousy angle? Overused. The misunderstandings? Dragged out. Emotional scenes feel less impactful because they’re built on weak logic.
This isn’t a case of a flawed character — this is flawed writing. Instead of building depth, the show relies on exaggeration and unrealistic reactions to keep things “interesting,” but it backfires.
**Final Verdict:**
Good concept, wasted by inconsistent writing and forced drama. If you like over-the-top emotional chaos, maybe it works. But if you expect smart characters and believable decisions, this will just frustrate you.
**Rating: 5/10**

Sweet & Dripping with Innocence ...
This is a series you can watch from start to finish and truly enjoy without any major issue. It involves a recently married couple without any basics of married life, whether it be in the bedroom or any other part of the house. It really is an adorable story with the perfect two actors portraying these protagonists. If you're familiar with the work of Kyoya Honda, he once again gives a great performance showing love, shyness and hesitation toward his new wife, perfectly paired with Kyoko Yoshine.Even though it is quite slow to evolve, their relationship builds a strong chemistry by showing such a lack of it early on. It is written brilliantly to give a step by step of their marriage, each walking on egg shells, trying to figure out what to do.
I guess the only part of the story that looms large, is this draama takes place in Japan during pre World War II. You don't need to be a history buff to know what was going on in the mid and late 1930's in that part of the world. However, even with that dark background tone, especially with the main character being a lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Navy, somehow the story still shines with innocence. You can't allow yourself to get pulled to deep in that part of the story or it will take away from the brilliance of the rest of the drama.
Overall, a great "good feel" series that shows the sweetness and lovable actions of a young married couple.

Not in the mood and probably never will be!
I ended up dropping this show, not because it was bad, but because I just wasn’t in the right headspace for it. Eventually, I stopped caring about the plot entirely. I told myself I’d go back to it one day, but if I’m being honest, I probably won’t. That said, the show itself is actually great! The acting was solid (Dilraba has really improved), the storylines were intriguing, and the production value was decent. It just wasn't the right time for me. Onto the next one! 😩‼️Was this review helpful to you?
Very few complaints, I’d tell anyone to watch this!
I loved this show! For me, this is the gold standard for modern C-drama romance: mature, sweet, and absolutely swoon-worthy. It’s the perfect recipe for success. Dilraba was lovely, and her chemistry with Yang Yang was to die for. The only reason I’m not rating it higher is that I don't feel the urge to rewatch it. Usually, my 9/10 or 10/10 shows are ones I revisit constantly, but not this one. The beginning is a bit slow with all the gaming footage, and since the later episodes focus on their day-to-day life rather than a high-stakes plot, I feel like I'd be bored to death on a second viewing. Still, it was a fantastic one-time watch! 💕

interesting
i had good time watching, the show has it own flaws but i do like the cast, the male leads have good chemistry and the plot is interesting,it does make sense that the show gives thai vibes as its produced by a thai company, while the actors are both korean and speak in korean language, im kind of thankful that we didnt have half of the cast speak in korean while the other half smh understand korean but reply in thai, when everyone is talking in the same language it feels more logical and watchable so there is no issue related to that here.the good points:
an interesting plot, good chemistry, visually beautiful
flaws: one of the ml acting is a bit weak
overall id love to see the mls in more bls in the future

Messy production!
This was one big mess, the production did a really bad job! The cut off scenes, scenes just skipping to a completely different part of the story. It felt like half of the scenes were randomly deleted between all the scenes left. And the 2 minuted episodes just screwed it up even more.
The story was actually good and the acting was good enough. The only actor that didn't do a very good job was the lead actor Kim Dong Bin who played Yun Ho.
There was a bit of chemistry, but it didn't show well because of the cut off scenes. Same with the kisses.
The visuals and the music were good.

The Most Non-Toxic Couple in the C-Drama World
Welcome back again, guys. So, straight after ending “The Hidden Heir Ye Chen”, I decided to take “Glaze of Love” on a whim and basically had my schedules crashing with “Love beyond the Grave” (one of my long-awaited dramas). As usual, I don’t expect much from a simple short drama, but the synopsis does pique my interest. I binge-watched it in one fell swoop, spending the amount of time as much as 3 days, before finally recovering to prepare my mental well-being (for the sake of April Fool’s Day). The plot is revolved around a pair of socially awkward couple, Zhao Xiaocen and Xu Xiao. Xiaocen herself is timid and inept in social skills, only dares to express her feelings through arts and chooses the path of cultural relics restoration which she feels the most suitable with. Xiaocen is also a fragile girl and always gets sick due to lack of proper rest and healthy diets, that her mother has to constantly make an over-the-top fuss about her. Meanwhile, Xu Xiao has his own issues as well – his family was once purged by a huge debt plus his father sold counterfeit antiques to other people and his mother loses faith in him, deciding to remarry with other man. He also finds solace in cultural relics restoration and often works part-time in an antique shop, occasionally becoming an antique appraiser, a talent endowed to him since his childhood. Their relationship is quite pleasant without any lingering misunderstandings, stupid breakups, and tons of cheesy tropes usually found in other dramas.
I really need to commend the acting of the two leads, Lai Weiming and Zhou Yiru. Prior to “Glaze of Love”, I only watched Lai Weiming once in “Fangs of Fortune” as Pei Siheng, and he’s the reason why I didn’t fast-forward his scenes back then. In this drama, he embodies Xu Xiao seamlessly and projects every kind of emotion in an expressive way. As for Zhou Yiru, I must say that her character’s personality is a perfect copycat to mine as I often feel the way Xiaocen does and kudos to her for making Xiaocen stand out from the cast (aside from her co-star). Second couple is unnecessary and we don’t even get their backstories, flashbacks, or whatsoever – which is absolutely frustrating. The other friends are so-so, but they’re quite nice in a way. Shout out to Xiaocen’s fussy dear mommy because I really need to suppress the urge of shutting her tongue up for babbling nonstop (she resembles my own mother too).
OST is commendable, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere, even on Shazam. If anyone finds it, you can share it in the comment section of my review.
Overall, an absolutely non-toxic and fluffy light-hearted watch to pass your time. It may not be as outstanding as those high-budget idol dramas, but it still deserves a laudable praise from global and mainland audiences. I guess I’m going to end the review here (‘cause there’s not much to say), good luck and happy watching!!!

Interesting and yirannn
I really enjoyed Generation to Generation (2026). The storyline is a bit complicated at first, but once you get into it, the details actually help you understand everything better. It’s the kind of drama where you need to pay attention, but it’s worth it.The character development is really fun to watch — you can see how each character grows and changes over time, which makes it more engaging.
Also, the sword fighting scenes are super entertaining. They’re well done and add a lot of excitement to the drama.
Overall, definitely worth watching if you like something a bit deeper with good action.

IU, please stay soft
I was surprised by this drama because it was my first time seeing IU in a role like this it felt strange at first She was bolder than necessary and I’m not a fan of that much explicit content. I really hope she doesn’t take on roles like this again because what makes IU so special is her innocence that’s what we love about her. The story itself was good and her acting was impressive as always, but certain scenes were just unnecessary IU shines brightest when she’s in roles that match her softWas this review helpful to you?

I love the plot, it’s gives a lot to hook you and make you fill fulfilled but not too much to make you feel like you can’t watch the next episode. Their push and pull so thrilling. Maybe Im just biased cause I think I just found my Favourite actress lol! Oh well! Was this review helpful to you?
THE BEST THING EVER!
"Loving you is the best thing I've ever done."I always love when there's a title drop; it really just fulfills the whole experience of watching/reading something.
I truly love how romance and relationships were portrayed in this drama. It all felt so healthy and comforting, that it really makes me hope for a love like this. He Suye, despite being a cunning and scheming type with his advances/flirting on Shen Xifan, never did disrepect Xifan's personal struggles and choices which were a contrast to her past relationship— truly the best thing that happened.
This is so "All These and More" album by The Ridleys coded! I am so not normal about them— I love this couple and this drama so much! Definitely something I'd rewatch whenever I am feeling hopeless romantic.
PS. This drama made me fell inlove with Zhang Linghe and he fr need more modern roles!! Also, the chemistry is so top-tier that I couldn't bring myself to watch Our Generation, but Pursuit of Jade truly hooked me (for me that's his best historical/costume drama look)
