Imperfect perfection
I loved how flawed both characters were. I honestly think this is the first time I've watched a drama where I enjoyed the couple's fights, especially towards the end. I kind of wish their breakup was longer, though. Aside from ZS and LN, I really enjoyed the side characters as well. For me, this was a very fun, enjoyable watch, especially too, because I didn't take things too seriously. I think the issue some people had while watching this was taking this show too seriously. ZS and LN were in a 6-year situationship. That was bound to be messy and showcase the ugly sides of both characters. They are human, and too many people watching the show kept trying to view both characters in black and white/ red flag vs green flag when, really, everything was grey. Neither one of these people are villians. If you go into it with this mindset, I think you'll enjoy the show. Are there things both characters did or said that annoyed me? Sure, but that's life. There's never going to be perfect characters because human beings are naturally flawed.Anyways, highly recommend. This is the first drama with both leads that I watched, and I really enjoyed it. Will be looking out for their future works, as well as the supporting actors/actresses.

Don't judge a series by its name
I honestly didn't think much before starting this, the name of the series wasn't helping at all. I thought it'd be some cliche drama with no story and just some playful scenes.But it wasn't bad tbh. It was actually good. I didn't expect this drama to turn out like this.
The liked the bgm in between the series and the ost at last, it gave feels. You'd think by its name that it'll just throw weird nc scenes here and there, but there's more to the series.
Figuring out own feelings, what they feel, communicating it, accepting each other. Their age gap was a big hurdle but they still didn't want to leave each other. I liked the drama

Wasted of stellar casts
I watched this drama because of Chen Duling, Ju Jingyi and Zeng Shunxi. Actually the CGI was good but i always have one common problem when it comes Guo Jing Ming drama: no plot substance in this drama. I feel they are too focused on second couple without giving strong background (i know second ML was a wooden doll) while the first couple are actually have good back story but they choose to minimize it. This is when you got 4 stellar casts but you always make imbalance plot about them. It make me realized i can't watch GJM drama even there is my favourite cast on it. Awesome series but predictable suspect
It was such an amazing series, actors amazing as always. I loved the dynamics between Tee and Dew. I honestly didn't mind getting their crumbs in bonus clips.Except that the main murderer was too obvious to predict, but otherwise it was fun watching the story roll out.
I was so impressed by Dew yet again, he portrayed his role so well.
I wish real life reporters worked as hard as Thun or Praew to show what's true without giving in to high power politicians.

The Early Spring: A vision that would never be explored to its full potential
This show will surely be unexpectedly one of the best C-dramas of 2026. Captivating, relatable, and well-written; Those are the first words that come to mind when I think about this drama.Nevertheless, despite all its amazing qualities, The Early Spring sadly misses the opportunity to explore its subject to its fullest potential. The first six episodes were incredible and, dare I say, flawless. The story starts off captivatingly with all the tension between the two leads. I loved how the drama didn't waste any time and immediately introduced viewers to the growing tension between the characters, highlighting their looks, gestures, and even their breathing. The actors executed their roles perfectly without any flaws.
Despite all this potential at the beginning, which generated a lot of excitement among viewers and led platforms like Youku and Netflix to release only one episode per day instead of two due to the drama's growing popularity, the momentum drops drastically. This decline isn't because of the new release schedule but rather due to the direction the story takes.
Our dear leads, Flora and Luke, become trapped in an endless loop of building tension, only to drop the pot when it becomes too hot to handle. Initially, this was acceptable because it aligns with the main theme of the drama: a toxic relationship. However, this does not excuse the directors and producers for failing to focus more on the character development of our leads while they continue their toxic relationship. More character development would have made the story more engaging and intriguing.
In the middle of the drama (episodes 10-20), we witnessed countless cycles of tension between Luke and Flora with no resolution. Then, in the last four episodes, they attempted to squeeze everything together into a conclusion.
Even their eventual split (the official one) will be filled with flaws and mistakes, which I would describe as rookie mistakes.
After the breakup, Flora goes to Luke's house to collect her belongings. Luke arrives while she is visibly packing a suitcase, but when she puts the suitcase aside, she attempts to convince their dog to come with her, only to have the dog refuse to budge. After failing to take the dog, she leaves his apartment without her suitcase. I noticed this right away without needing to rewind or anything.
When a drama is captivating, you tend to focus on the story and overlook possible background mistakes. Conversely, when the story isn't as engaging, you pay more attention to non-critical aspects of the drama.
In short, it's a good drama, but I feel they missed a great opportunity to deepen the meaning of the story. I definitely recommend watching it!

Best Drama 2026
10/10. Minus NOTHING. ❤️The Early Spring was honestly one of the most beautiful dramas I have watched. From beginning to end, there was not a single moment that felt boring, unnecessary, or like it was there just to fill an episode. Everything had meaning. Everything flowed naturally.
But the CHEMISTRY between the main leads??? Absolutely insane. 😭❤️ Their chemistry was easily one of the best parts of this drama. It felt so natural, effortless, intense and believable. The way their relationship developed, their little moments together, the emotions, the tension, the love… I was completely invested in them.
And the cinematography was BEAUTIFUL. Every scene was captured so perfectly, and together with that incredible soundtrack, it created such a special atmosphere. The music deserves its own 10/10 because it made the emotional moments hit even harder.
What I loved most was the feeling this drama gave me. Waiting for a new episode every single day was genuinely exciting. It gave me goosebumps, made me smile, made me emotional and somehow made my days a little more cheerful. I looked forward to watching it every day.
There was no unnecessary dragging, no boring side plot and no moment where I wanted to skip ahead. It knew exactly what story it wanted to tell and told it beautifully.
The Early Spring wasn’t just a drama I watched. It was a drama I genuinely enjoyed experiencing.

Haunting From Beginning to End
This is a tough one to review. It has so many great twists and turns, all unexpected right up to the very end. The script was well written, and the performances and characters were strong and haunting.The difficult part for me was that I disliked the lead characters for almost the entire run (with the exception of Xu Qing Li). It was frustrating watching them make one terrible choice after another under the guise of being victims and feeling sorry for themselves, especially when there were plenty of other options. They repeatedly chose the worst paths, and in doing so, destroyed so many lives.
That’s also what made the drama feel so haunting. We’re shown how easily so much of this could have been avoided and how different their lives might have been if they hadn’t made the choices that ultimately destroyed any chance at a happy life.
Overall, I thought this was a strong drama, and I thought the performers pushed themselves to deliver an emotionally impactful narrative. That said, it was a tough one to digest given the nature of the plot.

*I LOVED THIS SERIES*
I absolutely loved this series. Like most say, not your typical K-drama. I mainly loved the history of the entire series.I won’t get into everything as most of the reviews explained a lot.
I truly think it’s worth a watch even for people who don’t watch K-drama’s.
I will say I was a little disappointed with the ending, but maybe they will do a Season 3 since I want to know how Noa turned out. (that’s the part I was disappointed in).
Even though there were 2 seasons, it was a total of 16 episodes which is certainly enough.
I may have to go read the book now just to see the difference between the series and the book.
I feel a must watch for all.

Reality TV with added script
Maybe I'm watching far too many dramas lateley. But see you at work tomorrow reminds me of what I've seen. Which is fine, but add a twist or tension. Something to make me want to hurry on to the next show because I'm excited to what happens next.After giving this 7 episodes, this series only caused me to flip through my phone and rewind certain segments that I actually fell asleep on.😴 There is NOTHING wrong with romance/work dramas. But give me a STORY that increases the stakes and tension as the series goes on. This offers none. In fact pretty much nothing happens. 😒When I watch shows like this, I ask myself ... If you take away the romance building from the plot, would I enjoy the STORY? And if the story was the romance tension building between two people trying to just navigate thier lives at work, then it was written like a reality tv show.
You wonder why some series throw in a third wheel or add an ex-lover? To add tension. Especially to a plot that has none.
Why it didn't work for me?
Here is my formula for romance stories (For non comedy)
For me, what keeps my interest is a SOLID STORY FIRST. Just because two people like each other in whatever setting isnt enough. If the story is just average, then it falls more on the characters within the story to do the heavy lifting. If the story is good, it will test the leads and show us everything we need to know about them.
However, solid characters that I can attach to can make up for simplistic plots. That will likely keep my intrest. (Like another office romance "The Early Spring" With its own issues aside, I feel its done better.
What does work for me?
Getting attached to the leads. We want them to succeed. The two leads come together within the context of the story. They are not forced together by consistent convivences. Its not like a movie where you have only 2 hours. In a limited series, you have time to build a great story involving the leads. 😍The icing on the cake is getting invested in the story before the leads you’ve come to know and love discover each other. They are together in time, as the plot twists and the tension starts to build. 👌👍
Not every story has the luxury of waiting . Office shows, the leads are likley already in each others faces. IMOP they need to be in separate departments in the beginning and never meet until after an episode or two.
See you at work tommorow just didn't keep my interest. It felt predictable and flat. I completed a whole new series before I reached episode 5 with this one.

Clashing in Public, Craving in Secret. Record-Breaking Rivals-to-Lovers Sensation
Early Spring is a massive hit workplace romance that follows SZT, a small-town graduate who lands a job at an elite Beijing advertising agency. She clashes with, and eventually falls for, her brilliant but demanding boss, Luan Nian (LN) who otherwise goes by Luke. The drama chronicles their hidden, high-stakes six-year office relationship, her journey to leave the corporate grind to find her own independence, and their ultimate reunion as equals.It's been a while since I've watched a workplace romance drama that portrays so much realism. The directing, storyline and fabulous acting by both leads and the absolute sizzling chemistry is a must watch. The wardrobe and styling is seriously no joke. The OST is incredible with Liu Yi Ning and Silence Wang absolutes fit each scene so perfectly.
The show stands out from standard romance dramas by exploring complex, real-world dynamics. SZT's own journey to navigate a toxic corporate environment to a climb the ladder in a lopsided relationship while growing into herself to find her independence and self-worth in a cut-throat advertising industry. LN is a very attractive character as he really exudes the toxic-and-addictive corporate persona, he's a no nonsense boss and a workaholic who is feared but respected in Lime.
One aspect of this show that is gripping to the audience is the mature and realistic intimacy which shows the messy, intense, and passionate realities of long-term hidden relationships. Both leads are flawed characters and they bring a lot of angst and a whole world of hurt but deep down they are exclusive to each other. The push and pull of the characters really makes one resonate with their emotional baggage and inner conflicts.
I highly recommend this show because of the amazing acting from Sun Qian and Jing Boran. Their compatibility and natural chemistry clicks whenever they are on screen and the camera zeros on them each time due to their screen presence.

ONE OF THE BEST CDRAMAS THAT I'VE WATCHED!!!
At first, I was not really interested in watching The Early Spring since I barely knew the actors. The only one I knew was the female lead, who I have seen in other shows a couple of times. But since I was in a Chinese drama slump era, I just played whatever, and without a doubt, it was the best decision ever.I thought this would just be a series that I would watch when I had nothing else to do. But in just episode 1, girl, I was hooked. The visuals of the actors are just an extra bonus. The acting, the cast, and even the styling are perfect. The story started with a girl from a province who chased her dreams to the city without knowing anyone. I loved how they really showed Flora's grit to achieve what she wants. She made me want to believe that everything really works out if you do your best. When you first see her, you can tell that nothing is exceptionally special about her, not her physical appearance or even her school background. That is why the words Tracy used when talking about Flora really fit her character. She said that people with natural talent might shine immediately, but people who work hard will be the ones who surprise you in the long run. Flora started as what you could call a basic girl and became the very accomplished person she wanted to be.
Luke's character was a typical cold guy who is not good with words. It was much easier for him to say the rudest things you could ever think of than to praise you for something. You could even say that more arrogant things come out of his mouth than good ones, lol. But you can tell he really loved Flora from the moment he saw her. There is something special about her that can only be felt by him. I also have to mention the insane chemistry between the actors, especially the way they look at each other. Jing Boran, who acts as Luke, has these intense gazes that gave me the wildest butterflies in my stomach! I loved how his character developed throughout the series. You know that even though the worst possible things come out of his mouth, he means well. Him as a boss is really a dream. It is great having someone who will back you up and push you to do even better, even if he might be more attentive to Flora. No matter how much I talk bad about him in this drama, I could never really hate him. Just like with Flora, there are a lot of things that could have been avoided if they had just talked about it more, but it is part of the plot sooo... What makes them so great is how incredibly realistic their relationship feels. They are not perfect, but they both have their weaknesses and strengths as a couple and as individuals that they must work out to make the impossible possible. I am really happy with how they turned out.
One thing I appreciate about this drama even more is the relationships between the characters. It shines not just with the main leads but also with the supporting cast. People who go away to find their dreams in an unknown city will find this heartwarming. It shows how a single soul alone in a vast city found other people who probably feel the same way, and they became a second family to them. I love the friends she shared a house with because everyone is special in their own way. This also shows that no matter how happy a person looks from the outside, they still experience things that are hard to talk about. I loved how mature and relatable those friendships are. Another person I really liked here is Lumi. Her character made me wish for a senior coworker just like her. She is someone who will support you and value you so much as a friend and a coworker (another season with her and Will plsss).
This series also does not just focus on romantic love. It shows different kinds of love through friends, family, and even pets. At the same time, it addresses important issues in our society. It touches on mental health, the effect of your background on your work, and even the exploitation of women in the working environment. On top of that, you can learn so many things while watching. The characters' words and realizations will somehow just hit you right in the heart, offering genuine comfort and mature life lessons.
I highly recommend this series! Everything is perfect from the characters to the story, and even the OST is a hard YES!!!! My only problem now is having nothing to look forward to watching every night before going to bed huhuuhhuu, after finishing I feel like I'm on cdrama slump again hhhhuuuh
However, as much as I like their chemistry in the series, we can't deny how arrogant and stupid Luke is. If this were real life, I honestly hope Flora wouldn't go back to him. After all the harsh things he said to her? I would literally block him out of my life, lol. Fortunately, this is just a series, so we're allowed to enjoy it and curse Luke out at the same time. Also, I wouldn't really recommend reading the novel before watching the show, since they changed a lot of things—especially Luke's character while they're dating. I prefer to keep the book and the show as separate as possible in my mind.
Ps. May we all find someone like Luke (minus his rude mouth hahahahah)

Cuckoo crazy, carried by the chemistry!
Often it’s the other way round, a great story is let down by tepid chemistry… here the story reads like a video game, but the chemistry between the leads is scorching hot, despite never going further than kissing. The acting the Top notch
I absolutely loved Devil Judge.Ji Sung as Judge Kang Yo-han is magnetic — charismatic, cold, unpredictable, and completely magnetic every time he’s on screen. His performance is one of the strongest things about the drama. He makes the character feel powerful, layered, and dangerously interesting.
I also really enjoyed the villain. The intensity and presence they bring make the story so much more gripping.
Just to be clear for anyone wondering: this is not a BL drama. There is strong male chemistry and intense interactions between the leads, but the story itself is not queer-coded or romantic in that way. It’s a dystopian legal/crime thriller centered on power, justice, revenge, and a broken system.
If you like dark, stylish, high-stakes dramas with an unforgettable lead performance, Devil Judge is very worth watching. Kang Yo-han alone makes it memorable.

A thinking person's drama
This one is hard to rate. It is a complex mystery set in the Ming dynasty. No idol actors here. A series of murders in 1609 is somehow connected to a fire that wiped out a family twenty years previously, a connection a lowly constable discovers as he delves into the murder of his mentor. The connections and motivations are complex, and the drama requires one's full attention throughout. The script is excellent and the plotting meticulous and coherent. Everything makes sense without requiring suspension of belief at any point. The reason I find it hard to rate is that it really does take commitment on the part of the viewer without any of the usual eye candy, romance, and excitement of the typical C-drama, so I know it's not for everyone. I may have to watch it again to comprehend it fully because I failed to give it 100% of my attention 100% of the time. I highly recommend this drama, but only to serious drama watchers because it's deep and it spends no energy on entertaining the viewer with the usual tricks and shiny people. Nevertheless, it is excellent and unique--a thinking person's drama--and I should definitely mention that the cinematography is remarkable, too.Was this review helpful to you?
