Some series entertain you for a while, but WU stays with you long after the final episode.

Everything about this drama felt incredibly well-made. The writing was engaging, the pacing was excellent, and every episode had a purpose. The cinematography was breathtaking, the visual effects were beautifully done, and the production quality was on another level. Every frame looked cinematic.

The biggest strength of WU, however, is its cast. Nani and Sky gave career-defining performances. Their acting was powerful, sincere, and emotionally captivating. They didn’t just play their characters—they became them. Their chemistry was effortless and made every emotional scene unforgettable.

In my opinion, WU is GMMTV’s best production to date. It set a new standard for storytelling and production quality. This series deserves far more recognition because it is truly something special.

Without a doubt, this is a 10/10 masterpiece, and I hope many more people discover and appreciate it!!

The Secret Royal Agent Wasn't So Secret

Considering I really like Kim Myung Soo and Kwon Na Ra, I wasn't as engaged in this drama as I expected, but as a Joseon criminal investigation comedy, it had its moments.

The Good:
• I generally dislike slapstick, but there's something about Lee Yi Kyung that makes me laugh (I probably have warm residual feelings for him from Welcome to Waikiki.) Although, if I were his master, I'd probably smother him in his sleep.
• Ahn Nae Sang is always a welcome addition to any cast, and he played the royal secretary with warmth, wit, and understated mischievous humor.
• The drama ended well. All the loose ends were tied up, and our happy threesome were setting off for another adventure. It's not easy for K-dramas to stick the landing, and this one did.

The Bad:
• The protagonists were undeniably stupid. I'd think a royal secret agent could have an entourage of guards when he is going into a dangerous situation, but, no, let's go it alone. If we're talking secret strategies, let's use our inside voices and not broadcast our intentions to the whole world. And for heaven's sakes, if we get the MOST IMPORTANT PAPER, let's do it solo without guards in a remote area. Seriously, any secret agent that does that deserves to be beheaded (not a spoiler; he wasn't beheaded).
• The OST. I don't mind if an OST is barely noticeable. I love it when and OST enhances the drama and has stand-out songs that stay with me long after. I don't like when an OST is jarring, disparate from the drama, or has overly dramatic music when uncalled for.
• Episode 7 had the weirdest, long recap of the drama done in Short-Attention-Span theatre style.

I'm adding a star because my rating was too harsh and for Kim Myung Soo's dimple. I wonder how many times he practiced in a mirror to get that just right.

Stick around for the second half—Wang Anyu’s quiet devotion will utterly ruin you.

Despite some minor flaws in the script, directing, and a few lacking moments in the female lead's acting, this drama is absolutely worth the watch. In fact, it goes far beyond just being "watchable"—it is deeply heart-touching. The father-daughter relationship alone brings a beautiful, emotional layer to the story.

I initially went into this expecting a soft, fluffy drama, but it completely subverted my expectations. Instead, it induces a mild heartache through its beautifully written story and the profound, unbreakable bond between the leads. While the second leads are genuinely cute, my main reason for staying glued to the screen was entirely Wang Anyu.

Chen Luzhou, The man you are...

His portrayal is extraordinary. Chen Luzhou is so beautifully attuned to the female lead's emotions; he does everything and becomes everything for her without her ever having to ask. The emotional intelligence of this man honestly needs to be studied. He is such a secure man—he has his own life and goals going for him, yet he knows exactly how to be there for her. He loves her subtly, without being loud about it, but that subtlety carries a massive, unforgettable impact. Despite all the giggles he gave me, he seriously made me feel so single!

Furthermore, I have to disagree with the criticism surrounding the female lead’s love for him. Some viewers claim they don't understand why he loves her, or suggest she doesn't match his intensity, but she absolutely loves him just as much. She stands up for him in a way he has never experienced from anyone else in his life. For the first time, someone fights for *him*. She challenges him the most, and he loves her entirely for who she is as a person, not just how she relates to him.

If for nothing else, watch this drama simply to witness the sheer gravity of their bond, and a masterclass in yearning from Wang Anyu. Chen Luzhou’s quiet, fierce devotion alone will utterly ruin you. Backed by a truly great OST, this drama delivers an emotional depth that will stay with you long after the final episode.

Must watch if you're a fan of Zhou Keyu! Great beginning of his journey in S1-4

If you’re even remotely curious about We Are the Champions or seeing more of Zhou Keyu, I seriously cannot recommend this show enough! I originally only started watching for Zhou Keyu and only planned to watch the matches involving his team, INTO1, but I got hooked almost immediately. The games were so intense, stressful, strategic, and genuinely exciting that I went from “I’ll just watch Keyu’s parts” to being fully invested in drafts, team fights, comeback plays, and whether they were about to throw a huge lead. I ended up not only getting into the show, but also becoming genuinely interested in Honor of Kings itself.
And if you’re a new or old Zhou Keyu fan, this show is such a gift because you get to see a completely different side of him. Outside of this show he can be quiet, cute, playful, and always getting teased, but in We Are the Champions he’s confident, vocal, strategic, competitive, and such a natural leader in game. He still shows his funny cute side too with his interactions with his group INTO1. However I would say season 2-4 did a better job with the overall show arc and showing cute funny interactions between the contestants. Watching Zhou keyu shot-call, direct his team, carry matches, make mistakes, grow from them, and slowly level up across all four seasons was honestly one of the most satisfying growth arcs I’ve watched in any reality competition show. I truly started this just wanting to see Keyu and ended up watching all four seasons because I got so emotionally invested in his teams, the game, and especially his journey!

A flawed drama that somehow stole my heart

I don't know why, but I ended up loving this drama despite all its flaws.
It definitely had a lot of issues. Around episode 6, it started to get boring, but it got better later on i guess.

I think the characterization could've been much better and deeper. Sometimes the drama would show little details about a character's life, then suddenly move on to the main story and never bring those details up again. Because of that, sometimes i didn't understand why the characters felt or acted the way they did.

It also felt like the drama couldn't decide whether it wanted to be episodic or tell one continuous story. That made the pacing feel a bit off at times.

The acting was really good, but I feel like the characters weren't fully developed. It wasn't the actors' fault—it just felt like they weren't given enough to work with, so some characters still felt a little incomplete.

What made me enjoy this drama wasn't the writing. It was the cast, the relaxing vibe, the OSTs, and the character growth.

The character growth was easy to notice, and I liked that. I just wish it had happened a little earlier. The middle episodes spent too much time on side plots, which made the story drag.

Overall, I'll remember this as the kind of drama I watched when I wasn't in the mood for anything heavy. It was comforting, easy to watch, and somehow managed to make me feel better despite all its flaws.

I'm sorry but the acting did not deliver

I am jotting this down a bit to vent.
The story itself is not that big of a problem.I got to admit, it was not very my genre so as for the background trope, but the premise seemed interesting.
My biggest problem was JJ's acting. While Net actually surprised me positively (it's my first series with this cast), JJ was absolutely a letdown, preventing me from taking the story seriously and overall enjoying the series.
I did try to ignore it, but he is portraying the main character, so it was impossible.I tried for Net's sake, his acting was very nice compared to the mediocre Thai actors' performances I'm used to (aside from a few exceptions, of course), so it was indeed a shame that his partners' acting was not in the slightest on par.
I ended up fast-forwarding through the whole last 4 episodes or so.As sad as it could sound, I just wanted it to be over.
There probably are more problems to it, but this was the main thing which ruined it for me.

The best series I have ever watched

The moment i started watching it, it immediately got me. The opening scene is one of the best i have ever seen, the story is just great. I found it hard to understand whats going on at firat because it was so confusing. But in my opinion that was what made it even better. The acting is so so soo good but that was to be expected. The OST is THE BEST i have every heared in a series. Even nlwhen i finished it im still listening to it. The actors in the series and the song really bring out the emotions. Im currently rewatching it. So i hink the series is SO underrated because its my personal favorite.

From a webtoon to a kdrama !

This drama is adapted from the webtoon of the same name 'Spirit Fingers' ! I have read the webtoon before watching it ;)

I feel some parts were cut that is why the story was rushed and felt incomplete... we could not understand the story to the fullest ! Like U Dol's bullying... was it because it was too shocking ? the mom's being way too harsh on her daughter...
Also in the original story Gi Jeong had a third friend... I don't understand why they cut him out - and many more...

Overall I loved the acting the OSTs... it was so beautiful :D the story is inspiring ~ on the webtoon we had spin-oofs and we learned more about the other characters ;) it is a ver comforting drama ! I wished I had a Sprit Finger group I could go to every weekends and spend an amazing time with great friends <333

Estresante

Not My Usual Genre, but I Couldn’t Stop Watching

Series or movies about bullying are usually not my cup of tea because they often feel repetitive, frustrating, and emotionally exhausting. I honestly expected Teach You a Lesson to be another drama filled with cruel students, powerless teachers, and the same revenge storyline we have already seen many times. However, this series completely proved me wrong. It immediately caught my attention, and I ended up enjoying it much more than I expected. Every episode introduces a different problem within the education system, so the story never feels like it is simply repeating the same bullying case over and over again.

What I appreciated the most is that the series does not portray students as the only source of the problem. Sometimes the students are the aggressors, but in other cases, they are the ones being manipulated, exploited, or pressured by adults. The drama also shows how teachers can become victims of abusive parents, corrupt school administrators, and systems that are too afraid to take action. Some of the punishments may be extreme and morally questionable, but I cannot lie, they are also incredibly satisfying to watch! The show gives viewers the kind of justice and catharsis that we rarely see in real life, especially when people in authority choose to protect themselves instead of protecting teachers and students.

The cast also made the series much more entertaining. Kim Mu-yeol is perfect as Na Hwa-jin because he has such a strong and intimidating presence without needing to give dramatic motivational speeches all the time. I also really enjoyed Jin Ki-joo’s character because she is strong, fearless, and still has an emotional side that makes her feel like a real person rather than just another cool female action character. Overall, Teach You a Lesson is bold, intense, surprisingly emotional, and extremely addictive. I started this series expecting to dislike it, but somehow I ended up finishing all ten episodes and wanting more. Definitely do not judge this drama only by its bullying-related premise, because it is much smarter and more entertaining than it initially appears!

i love the cast.. the emotion, the tension between each other character, the character development, the soundtrack, never been better than this:)) love youu jimmysea love you last twilight.

This isn't just an ordinary series, nor is it a boring school drama.I absolutely love the chemistry between the two leads. Anyone reading this review shouldn't think twice about watching it; the series is packed with stars, and not a single cast member disappoints.

Great story with a few plotholes

After 2 years I have finally managed to watch this drama! It’s been hyped a lot and I understand it. The story is very captivating, their romance is bittersweet and swoony. The soundtrack is among the best I have seen in a K-Drama so far. And obviously, the cast is stellar! Especially Byeon Woo-Seok is out of this world!!!! His yearning gaze full of love, longing and sadness got me in my feels while watching this drama too.

The cinematography and color editing of this drama was so beautiful! Especially when it was set in the past! It reminded me a lot of 25 21, especially at the beginning of the drama.

There were quite a lot of funny, laugh-out-loud moments as well! Melon Musk absolutely KILLED me 😂😂😂 Can never get over this phrase 😂😂😂

Now to some things that bothered me and kept me from rating this drama a 10/10:

1. What was with the serial killer thing??? It made no sense whatsoever! Also his background was not explained at all. Why was he after Sol? Just a coincidence?? It all felt so random to me that I couldn’t quite get excited about the kidnapping scenes…

2. When Sungjae is being stabbed by the killer and falls off the cliff and dies, the drama spins to the future / current time and somehow it seemed like she said that “it has been years since Sun-Jae had died but I was still trying ti live a normal life” or sth like that. It seemed to me that Sunjae had died but in reality she went back in time one last time and changed the past in a way that they had never met so he wouldn’t die for her… I found that a bit confusing and I think they could have done a better job explaining it…

3. The second couple aka her brother and bestie was sooooo annoying and useless! Did we really need all those annoying scenes?? 😖😖😖 I cringef everytime I had to watch them. Or just any scene her brother was in! He was SO annoying!!!! I wished Hyeon-ju had gotten together with Bae In-hyeok instead 😅😅😅

In general I liked the drama but I think it could have been shorter without the serial killer plotline and the secondary couple scenes…

Up to Episode 10

Today’s two episodes were beautifully executed from start to finish. Every emotional beat landed perfectly, the heartbreaking scenes had me in tears, while the lighter moments came at just the right time and genuinely made me laugh. The balance between sadness, warmth, and humor felt so natural, making the story even more engaging. Every scene flowed seamlessly, keeping me completely invested in the characters and their journey. And just when I thought I could finally relax, that ending completely caught me off guard! The suspense was incredible and left me desperate to know what happens next. What an emotional roller coaster, I loved every minute of it!
