Cute and chill dating show

The acting was meh but if you want a light romance I would recommend. Don't go in expecting their acting to be the focus, its not. I like the cast especially the actresses. One thing that annoyed me was the crying, why can't they be professional in front of the judges? The best part is the funky opening song sequence- Charleston Boogie- I LOVE ELECTRIC SWING. I also loved the scenes in the sequence like the girl on the floor watching the guy do his goofy dance. An interesting point was the language barrier, it made the show better and posed real world scenario of people from different countries acting and dating.

All in all if there is a second season, I will watch it!

Somewhat satisfying but something is missing???

overall the drama was easy to watch despite the plot of a super-abused FL but for me, Everything was predictable. Even the "mother is alive" is predictable part since it became too obvious when they showed her scar multiple times and that she was overly protective of the FL. Even the ML having feelings for her from the start is also predictable... But that bit was what I liked since in almost all dramas that I watched it was always the FL who fell first.
Also in the middle of the drama, nothing special happens, they are not fillers but they are also not special. You will get it when you watch it. Sometimes the FL contradicts herself almost all the time in the first part of the drama and maybe that is because of her trauma (I am justifying her actions :) hehehe)
Also, I need to mention, that the ML's outfits are a hit or miss. I mean he is the CEO so when you dress him in a Polo shirt then it does not give us the CEO vibe so that is a miss, however, when you take into consideration that he is the CEO of his own created company maybe he is cutting into his finances? (hehehehe) then that is a hit also, Sung Hoon still looks good in those outfits. I just wanted to mention it.
So aside from the above mentioned, it is still a watchable drama. Some may think that the chemistry between the leads is not there at all but for me, it was ok since their love story is not typical. One is for seeking revenge and the other one is for his unrequited love that he does not even fully realize. I have a big crush on Sung Hoon and (I may get hate on this from his fans but this is my own opinion) he may not be the greatest actor I have seen nor the most handsome one but there is just something about him that I need to watch his drama...

Good acting by ML, hoping to see more dramas by him

If u are looking for a time travel drama with bits of romance, suspense, thriller and comedy then it's a much watch drama !! If I talk about storyline and characters the ML portrayed the cold grey character quite well, even though he's a positive character. The overall styling of ML is awesome i haven't seen such traditional costumes so far so hats off to the designer. Also the glitter makeup on FL is really good i would love to try it ! The osts and background music is good . I loved there were different storylines of various characters it's not boring and it keeps u intrigued to see what will happen with each character.

potrayed the most realistic and healthy relationship ever

in one word what makes this cdrama great and soo much better than other cdramas is that THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE MAIN LEADS and the fact that how REALISTIC it is. the story itself isn’t much, simple plot. and some people find it boring because of the lack of drama . But to me thats a plus point, no unnecessary drama, conflict and misunderstanding between the characters. often times the relationships potrayed in shows are unrealistic, but the relationship between the main leads is realistic, they face general problems that all couples face but they both are supportive of each other and communicate their problems. and another thing is that GREEN FLAGS?, and the romance was slowly built up, not in a rush, which will gove you butterflies. i rearly watch cdramas and I don’t really like cdramas because how long they are and how they drag the story too much, byt even tho hidden love has more episodes than a typical 16 episodes kdrama, i still enjoyed every pit of it. the female lead gave me second hand embarrassment

at first the story doesn’t seem that bad with the cliches of past lives and stuff but the female lead just got on my nerves soo much . Now a days kdramas are about strong and smart female charecters. But here the fl didn’t seem to have any self respect or common sence whatsoever. and also I couldn’t really feel any chemistry between the leads. It didn’t even look like the ML was falling is love, It just looked like he was doing all that against his will . and then suddenly confesses his love. and then again saying it had nothing to do with the potion was weird. and the ML technically was cheating on his then girlfriend. Had huge potential, is only decent

First episode was mostly boring. But then the plot got going and I got into it. So this showed lots of promise as it was always entertaining.

I generally dislike when the adult characters know each other from childhood, and sadly it is no different here. The weakest point of this drama.

The male lead had not much of an active role in the overall plot. Like maybe he could have helped in the shadows more.

The female lead reminds me a bit of Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation. Lovely, bubbly, almost a caricature, but fun to watch and to root for because beneath the goofy surface there is a genuine character. Until… there isn't.

This series, in its quest to subvert expectations, forgot that when characters have no dreams, no aspirations, no motivations, we cease to root for them. It's a mortal sin committed by this series. I recognize that it was all in the name of good writing, but it doesn't make for a great story. And it sadly is what happens to the main character played by Nana. She has no motivation whatsoever by the end (the show just… forgot about the reason why she entered the race in the first place: to get $50 000), and it never gets resolved. And it never gets replaced. She has literally no reason to do anything by the end except prop up other characters.

The lead character doesn't get her cake, and doesn't eat it either. Reverse uno! Except it's a terrible one. She got in as a public servant only to get an easy $50k, but then as the series progresses, she keeps working for no money because she believes in the work she's doing, instead of caring only about money. But then, she… gives up and leaves public office. With no plan. She didn't get her money either.

Because of this, what we get is a garbage ending amounting to a bunch of nothing where any and all side characters get a better ending than the freaking main character of the show.

The wasted potential here is huge as this could have genuinely been awesome in the hands of someone who didn't just promptly forget about the main character's motivations halfway through, because the writing was genuinely good for most of the episodes.

Oh well. There goes nothing. What's funny though is that it was still a decent watch.

Amazing

Just like Sword and Fairy 4, this drama looks like a Final Fantasy game too. I'm surprised in first episode the ML already met FL. So they were like brothers and sisters at first. Their chemistry is good. I just love when the OST plays. I know that Zhou Shen is one of the singers of their OST especially on the opening damn that vocal is so impressive. Very fit in this drama. Then goes the mysterious Zhaoyan. Even she acts a man there, she's really beautiful. I don't know but I love her character more than Qi. Qi is cute but I dunno, I wanted her some improvements in acting. Her voice is, I know it's normal but yeah, hope I will get used to it. Also, I like Xu Kai's other character Bian than Jinzhao. I'm surprised to see Jia Nai from The Last Immortal here even though she's only a guest. I just wish she can be a support role but yeah that's how it is.

I just wonder how SNF6 will be talking about sword or fairy as in its title drama. Or is there something important artifact in the future? Maybe in future episodes. Highly recommended too especially to those games and loves adventure stories.

A heartwarming drama that will make you cry and laugh at the same time with a unique plot

I’ve been watching dramas for many year but I think despite the fact that twinkling watermelon is a new kdrama compared to my past favourite, it has achieved the top spot among my favourite kdramas of all time. Nothing compares to this kdrama. i don’t think I’ve ever cried soo much while watching ANY SHOW. and even tho it will make you cry, it has a happy ending and the story isn’t gloomy or sad either. its just heart touching in its own way and will also make you laugh. Here the actor that played “yoon chung ah”, her acting was outstanding, the way she communicated her feeling with just her eyes and hands is fascinating. the story isn’t too slow either.

An enjoyable watch, but not primarily because of the story

This series does offer a lot of romantic plotlines one can gush to, but the writing is one of its weaker points, often feeling like it's being written as the story plays out, trying to revise and connect certain points with some success. While it's nice to see how Chu Kong and Xiangyun's fates echo across every lifetime through details such as crabapple flowers, the Xun musical instrument, red threads and marriage temples, the whole thing doesn't feel as solid as I would have liked, with some arcs and details feeling like afterthoughts (*cough* Zihui, Ming Yue *cough*), but it's better than most dramas I've watched in terms of pacing. It didn't drag on too much, and so heightens its rewatchability. The balance of tragedy, romance, and lighthearted fun is also done well. I would like to highlight the animal arc: it had me laughing so much, but it's also really sweet that the tiger and the boar became one of their motifs throughout the series.

The acting, production, and music definitely carried the drama to a new height. For acting: Ding Yuxi in particular is all kinds of excellent in every role-- mischievous being, cold immortal, tragic hero, further magnified by his breathtaking costuming and styling (convinced that the stylists love him a lot). He's meticulous in his body language and expressions, especially as the cat demon. Props also to Yang Chaoye (Xiangyun/Cang Hai etc.); she looks so cute but she's also able to act out 'powerful empress'/'demonic-aura princess', as well as capture the mannerisms of Chu Kong in the body-swap arc. She's a dynamic actress who manages to match and complement Ding Yuxi. In general, the main cast are actually so good in playing different roles in a single drama, they worked hard! (Shout-out to the Qianren and Qian Mou brotherhood in the Shengling Sect arc.)

For production: I have so much love for the costume designers and hair and make-up artists, and I hope they got paid really, really well for this series, because they have made a work of art in every outfit and look. I'm pretty sure they asked themselves, "How do I make this character the prettiest character ever" and just went absolutely wild. My absolute favorites are: Chu Kong and Xiangyun's demon looks (this is a given, iconic really), Chu Kong's General outfits in the body-swap/Princess and General arc as well as his God of War outfits (the pieces of armor fused with flowing fabric, the color layering, the gold qilin details, wow), Jin Luo's witch-doctor outfit (she's so pretty....), and every version of Xiangyun's eye make-up throughout the series. As for the special effects and set designs, while some of it are a bit awkward, grade A for setting the right ambiance and providing a feast for the eyes.

The soundtrack is absolutely lovely as well. In particular, Faye's "Love Only" must have been played more than 40 times (in the title credits and in the drama itself), but it gives me goosebumps every single time.

Overall, Love You Seven Times is a decadent work, a story that's a bit weak in the knees but helped up by a good cast and amazing production. It's able to give laughter and heartache, and so much beauty.

At first it is somehow awkward to watch the idea of Demon as a main role of the series, but along the way, it talks about religion, Christianity and faith
It also talks about the your destiny,
The sequence of events is very interesting, there are so much connection in each character, what is important is that the forgiveness they give... Redemption and Salvation,
Also the later part I like the idea of Seok Hun being the chairman
In terms of Kim yoo Jung's character, wow I've waited for this, I really like Yoo jung as an actress...this project is big and it is fit for her

Impressive

Impressive. It's like Final Fantasy game where it started with a solo lead then followed by his partner. Then a party has been created after a few journey. The introduction of the story was great but I just wish Tianhe and his father had more interactions but who knows in the upcoming episodes. Their side missions were really interesting; how I felt a little horror vibe in the episode when they were encounter a puppet there. I love how they use transportation by the "Sword." Lingsha is like Aerith of FF7 for me. Sweet girl but only difference is that Lingsha's more annoying but cute. Hope to see her more in action scenes. Ziying is so cool. I like how Lingsha called him Ice Cube ?. I really like Mengli's character because of her gentleness and innocence.

How I wish the intro/opening song should be Ju Jingyi's song but it's still good though. Hope they can make MV for the drama. Highly recommended especially to those gamers and loves adventure stories.

Funny + good music, a must watch!!

This variety is so good, where 6 close friends have their own place, and invites their other friends over to hang out, and to sing together. It’s a very chill show, and they are all super funny~ They sing super well, and make the show very interesting.

Their friendship is also very genuine, always by one another’s side regardless. Hence, their interactions doesn’t seem superficial, and is very comfortable to watch. They are always openly showing affection and encouragement to one another, which is very pleasant as people these days rarely show it explicitly.

Though it feels as if they keep reminiscing on the past, I think it is rather common among friends of 16 years, as they are sharing their stories with the audience.

Overall, I feel happier everytime i watch the new episodes, and they take away stress from life. I have truly enjoyed every single episode of this show!!
