I'm enjoyed watching "Princess Agents"!

Don't Waste Your Time

This series was 40 episodes too long. A poorly written, uninteresting story with boring characters and very little relationship development or chemistry. The couples were perfunctory and there was absolutely no romance or PDA at all. The relationships between the 3 female characters were nothing special, and I hope is not indicative of sisterhood in Chinese women professional or personal.

One emotional story arc was the death of the FL's mother. That was pretty powerful despite the silliness of trying to pass off the boyfriend as her son-in-law. Still, their exchange was touching.

I like Liu Yu Ning - and actually watched because of his main role. I got a bonus thrill seeing Dai Gao Zheng (even with his shirt on the whole time). But their characters were really blah and boring, as were the characters played by the lead actresses. On the whole, all the characters were about as exciting and interesting as watching paint dry.

This was a very disappointing drama. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Spare yourself and save your time for something worth watching. You'd get more out of watching the real news than this drivel.

ml LOVES the fl

I’d say what really made this drama stand out to me is the way we see the characters falling in love. The ML is so expressive with his eyes that I could immediately tell when he became obsessed with the FL. This woman had him ON HIS KNEES in love with her. The way he acts when she’s in the room is insane, it felt like I was really watching a crush form and grow. Although I couldn’t tell right away when the FL fell for him, I thought their dynamic was so cute. The trope of falling in love in a foreign country is not overdone, so I really liked seeing it here. It is a refreshing watch and a perfect drama to start on a snowy day!

The supporting characters also really cared for the main couple and helped push them together. The FL’s brother in particular was stellar (I don’t want to spoil so that’s all I’ll say). He got a 10/10 from me.

This is a great winter watch, especially if you’re tired of corny dramas where the main couple doesn’t even like each other.

I'm disappointed

I rarely give a low rating but i was really disappointed with the overall serie conclusion. I feel like we got nothing from the show and all went back to start of the show. A whole f**king circle. The family wasn't free from the grip of the government. We don't know who is behind the red phone. Why did the older brother ideology change so much what exactly happened to him. I felt like there was a whole conspiracy still hidden and uncovered and that unnerved me when i didn't get any answer at the end i only got more question. I hope there is a second season but still my expectations are very low. The cast and acting was on point. The actors and actress portrayed the role and emotions perfectly. But the conclusion D*MN. I FEEL SO FRUSTRATED NOW

Disappointing

I would’ve stopped watching after the second episode if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s OffGun. I was really looking forward to seeing how their acting/ chemistry had progressed and had high hopes after watching them together previously but it feels like we took 5 steps backwards. I personally didn’t feel the chemistry at all and while the plot was a good idea it was not executed very well… It was most likely not the actors fault and was the script/ writer/ director of this series but it’s still disappointing. I hope we get an amazing redemption series in the future with them.

I was broken hearted also at the way Jo Jo was so uncaring of the torment she put Sun oh through and still can’t understand why she chose the one she did other than she said he was warm and kind. Sun oh always loved and cared for her too and they seemed to have great chemistry! I guess the emotional drama created by others because of Sun oh’s status was too much for Jo Jo to deal with. I had hoped they could find their way back to each other, but Jo Jo didn’t even try and just kept running away from Sun oh. Furthermore, Sun oh was never given a clear reason her feelings changed for him, making it so hard for him to understand and have closure. It was a very disappointing ending to me.

Ep 1-5 are the strongest. Light & easy watch with great chemistry.

Ep 1-5 (and 9-10) were better than comments lead me to expect. The story is simple and not that memorable, but if you want an easy watch with sensual, realistic making-out, some sweetness, and decent acting, then you might enjoy this. Or at least parts of it.

Viewing recommendation: If you like jumping back to see the ML's point of view, watch Ep 9-10 after Ep 3; it integrates well with the story at that time. Then Eps 4-5 would have been a satisfying ending to me, so you could stop there. If you want to see the leads navigating their life choices at the end of college watch Ep 7-8. Skip Ep 6 altogether (I explain why in general terms below). Eps 6, 7, & 8 aren't very well written and aren't needed to have a satisfying conclusion.

The intimacy between the leads is both hot and sweet. The kisses contain emotions and are realistic. And there are a lot of them (in Ep 1-5, not so much after that). Very satisfying in that regard.

GENERAL SPOILERS below.

Notes for Ep 1-5:
The ML lead's revenge thing is short lived once he and the FL talk through their mutual misunderstandings from 4 years ago. They are uncertain of their footing but really sweet and do communicate (even if there are lags in communication it's not super drawn out or unresolved ).

I liked how the ML and FL never wavered in their affection, and really appreciated how the ML *didn't* get upset at the FL when he learned that the SML had forced a kiss on her. I was expecting all the usual unreasonable jealousy clichés, but the ML handled that whole scene/situation really well.

Kazuha (SML) and and Nina are horrible "friends" to Kaeda. Their one-sided feelings, for the FL and ML respectively, are obviously not reciprocated yet they do morally grey things because they can't accept that. They are the most annoying and trope-filled thing about this show.

Skip Ep 6 because almost the whole thing revolves around Nina being nasty in ridiculous ways. At the end she's given excuses and understanding and not only forgiven, but praised. I get the point they were trying to make, but she didn't deserve such consideration, and the writing was really ham-handed with it. It detracted from the story instead of adding value.

Ep 7-8 are full of telling vs showing and thus feel rushed, a bit empty, and not that satisfying (in my opinion). The writing is clunky and the time skips don't help.

I can see re-watching parts of Ep 1-5 (& 9-10) at some point, but I won't re-watch the rest.

a fluffy bl series that warms my heart

this is the first time for me to write a review. this series deserves more love!! it's is a very refreshing watch and i will surely go back to this when i want to feel butterflies. the chemistry of the main couple felt very natural and heart-fluttering. it doesn't have an overly-complicated conflict so it's a very easy watch which makes it just overall wholesome. it's really like the wind - one that blows softly; cool but somehow comforting as it makes you feel the warmth of the heart. it's like taking a bite of a soft white marshmallow. it's like walking on fluffy clouds. i especially like the acting and visuals here. the pace is also good. it didn't feel rushed. i wish this has more episodes or another season though because it's THAT good! this is gonna be on my top kbl series of all time.

COOKING LIKE A CHEF

A poor(ish) culinary student and a rich med student. Put those 2 together and you get a cute relationship!! I LIVE for OffGun. I mean, who doesn't? If you've seen their previous works then you already know that it'll be a great paring.

STORY:

Third year culinary students Prem, Dynamite, and Samsi/Unky are the best of friends. They've been together since the 1st year of culinary classes. Trusting their friendship and skills, they join a cooking competition, known as Super Monster Chef (aka A BIG DEAL.) Prem then meets Ten, a med student. When Ten asks Prem for cooking lessons, he agrees due to money problems. What will happen when sparks begin to fly in the kitchen?

FAVSSS!!!

Let me start off with the chemistry. Nothing can go wrong between Off and Gun!! But.. Neo and Aungpao? Let me just- AHHHHHHHH!!!! I LOVEEE THEM!! Neo can have chemistry with just about anyone. Take the actors from Only Friends for example, you could ship him with any of them and I'd be like "I could see it." But they came to win their fans hearts and THEY DID. Aungpao is such a great actor and I'm excited for his future projects, whether its with Neo or not.

THE OST WAS SO CATCHY!! Everytime it played in the background I couldn't stop myself from singing "You give me a sugar rush, you're my baby crush!!"

NEEDS SOME.. FIXING.

The storyline was a little messy. The acting wasn't as good as other series, but I can understand with the script. The random time jump?? It could have been better. I would like to see more series where they're out of their college/high school days. Especially with OffGun. Cmon GMMTV!! They're in their 30's, lets see some more mature series which I know they can do with their potential.

Overall, this was a sweet, lighthearted series. I would recommend to those who just need a wholesome watch for a bit. Plus, the friendship between Unky and Metha was just AMAZING. I laughed at almost every scene of theirs.

Squid Game x Single’s Inferno

This is definitely one of the most well-produced Thai shows ever. The CGI, the editing, everything. It was so well-done. The camera work was amazing. Some of the shots were oddly close to the face, but overall it was so pretty.

It felt like a light-hearted squid game as a dating show. Personally, I loved it.
Similarities to Squid Game:
- colorful
- parallel plot w game and what’s going behind the scenes
- policeman type role

This show was such a fun watch. The plot was very well-done, and the characters were so loveable. Even the second female leads were so nice when they’re usually made to be a bitch, which was nice for a change.

Sun is so fuckkng hot. Like, I actually cannot comprehend how handsome he is. Nobody can convince me that man is Thai because he looks hella Korean or some shit. He’s so fine it hurts to look at him sometimes.

Val is definitely one of my fav side characters. She was such a badass. Her vibe was giving girl crush.

So, I guess they could have a season 2 of this, but, honestly, I feel satisfied with the ending they gave in this one. If they were to have another season, I’m guessing the Farm would be after their son, so they have to get rid of it once and for all.

Slow start epic finish

The first 10 eps or so of this show are not a good indicator of what comes after. It takes a long time to set the scene, introduce the characters and take us to the point where we start in the first ep. Until then it has been a good, but not great drama, with average arcs and tropes. But from this point it picks up momentum and does not slow down until the last second. We get thrown into a life or death struggle with multiple heartbreaking casualties, surprises, plot twists and reveals we did not see coming and a lot of romance. I was a little disappointed about the main couples chemistry, but this was made up for by the side couples. All in all this turned out to be a great watch that I will be remembering fondly.
