Top actor Ji Eun Ho hires ghostwriter Seo Jung Eun to write his autobiography in 2015. Eun Ho is tense, irritable and difficult to work with, but Jung Eun finds her assignment fascinating because Eun Ho claims he began acting not because he wanted to become a star but because he thought being in the limelight would help him find his first love, Ji Eun Dong. Eun Ho and Eun Dong's complicated read moreromantic history has spanned two decades, and he's convinced that he can never love anyone else. As Jung Eun helps him remember Eun Dong and why he lost her, Eun Ho (whose birth name is Park Hyun Soo) looks back on his memories of her, from when they met in 1995 when he was seventeen.

I just realized I hadn't written a review on it so here we go- My Love Eun Dong is one of the best dramas I have seen in 2015. I was a bit skeptical about starting it but the soundtrack sounded nice and the cast was good so I gave it a try. Once I started it I could not stop watching it. In fact, it's been months since I marathoned a read more drama like I did with this one. However, I somehow think this will go on to be one of the lesser popular dramas irrespective of how good it was. I think it's definitely underrated and sadly it will not everyone's cup of tea.

What I liked about the story was how it incorporated all K-drama cliches from years before and presented a nice, smooth story. The FEELS the drama gave me was immense. The main guy Ji Eun Ho has one of the purest loves ever in a kdrama. I loved how dedicated he was towards her and literally never thought of anyone apart from her, neither did he give up on their love.

This is one of those dramas where you won't be sure whether it will be a happy end or a sad end. The story is kind of sad throughout and when I imagined a sad ending, I really thought it would be hell depressing. But the fun part here is you won't be sure how the leads will EVER manage to have a romance or a proper relationship with each other. Plus, there are a few mysteries which keep the story interesting.

The drama is very much an old school kdrama with star-crossed lovers and a whole lot of scheming and manipulations. It was seriously so entertaining. The splendid chemistry between the leads only increased my awe for it and not lessen it in any way. The soundtrack is pretty good too.

Like all kdramas ever, the last four episodes are sort of a drag and you might find yourself skipping some scenes. I liked the ending a lot. It fit in nicely with the story. I think I made a good decision watching it but I am not sure if I'll rewatch since I hardly ever do. Highly recommended if you like melodramas and pure love stories.

I fell for this drama from the first episode, the story was different and backstory was well thought out. The main story line is about an unforgettable love that starts in childhood and how live and outside factors can create roadblocks for the main characters.

This was my first drama with Joo Jin Mo but I love his movies so I had very high expectations and he did not disappoint. I think read more that the first couple episodes when we get the backstory were very well done and left me longing for more episodes of their childhood.

This is truly a melodrama so expect lots of feelings and heartache and frustration.

I watched My Love Eun Dong after I watched She was pretty. It gave me the same goosebumps as She Was Pretty gave me... My Love Eun Dong is really great, but soooo underrated! You should give both a go and you will fall in love with it instantly!

I would rate this 7/10. Not an excellent drama but still good. Kind of draggy and Jin Mo's character was a bit creepy, also a BIT unrealistic with how long he waited. No one would wait that long, lol.

1 thing I don't like is how quickly the husband is recovering.. it really makes light of the situation and takes you out of the immersion of the story how after just a few weeks of physical therapy he starts getting way better

Totally crappy drama. and their "love" was not love it was lust plain and simple. Despicable people.
There were only 2 characters I liked - Kim Tae Hoon as Choi Jae Il (the sincere lover) and his son Ra Il. (the only reason this drama doesn't get a zero is b/c of them). I'm glad I only watched Kim Tae Hoon's scenes and nothing more - otherwise it would have been a total waste of my time (actually I would have dropped it if I did that lol). I only finished it b/c I was skip watching it for a particular actor and his scenes were worth the watch - but it didn't stop me from hating everyone else - especially the leads.

Be warned! Very negative thoughts below (in spoiler comment) (so far I've seen 11 episodes) - if you don't like what I have to say then please just pass my comment by and do not respond - it's my own opinion and it will not change. Peace.

The young actors' parts were great, but this show wasn't romantic at all... more like creepy. Adult HyunSoo is an obsessive stalker. Joo Jin Mo is a great actor but I can't stand this character.

I 100% agree with you!!! I'm skip watching this for Kim Tae Hoon and watching only his scenes and I can't for the life of me figure out how anyone could think this drama is romantic at all - the leads are sick and creepy. (the only character I like is Choi Jae Ho). *I've seen 11 episodes thus far*

    I've just finished 16th episode...
It's like the writer wants viewers to understand the justification of fate between those lead characters in an exaggerated dramatic sense... but not in a realistic method...

The writer of this drama just used the tool MATURITY for everything to trick the viewers to have a justified thought in the end...

Anyways I can't appreciate anyone to learn or influence reality, love or fate, maturity... especially for the one who's in a populated and densest state....

Notice that when anyone uses maturity to end the story... believe me... it's purely an act of drama and it'll never be even in one thousandth possibility...

Now a days, many of the people are becoming naive, losing confidence and believing that sacrificing makes other party guilt to sacrifice... But it's a sign of poor and unhealthy to all of our future and to our friend circle...

Please see these drama as an entertainment and relaxation but not to tune your mind rationality...

Just enjoy their acting skills without involving yourself to their characters...

Of cause it has nothing to do with reality and isn't even healthy but the heart is happy if it has something to dream of ;o)

I've made it to EP 8th like I'm climbing Himalayan mountain.
Now, I'm yawning and skipping repeatedly everytime when they flash that past memory scenes 1. cycle clash 2. hairpin was pretty 3. piggybacking 4. phone booth k*** 5. korean Classroom 6. River jumping for mom's ring 7. finally Accident

Anyone who's gullible/ credulous and deeply felt these scenes as many times as they flashed, definitely He/she will become insanely infatuated with this drama...

It's not rational and it's not appreciable if you're very normal ...

This drama made me think too sensitive about their ambiguity...
There's one guy in the fourth episode wondered "Something like this (fate) will happen only in movies" ... and I was like "Oh, It's drama and everything is so real"...

and Also our hero was so obsessed to see his writer's face ... and they're planning hardly to make her meeting... It really makes no sense at all...
everyone except our hero were secretly visit/meet her... Is this something real... and our hero is almost free at all the time...

And also writer of this drama expects me like "Hey, we're in 2015 with internet facilities but we can't see find some ghostwriter though we've known her name"

Every fan of this drama expects every other viewers to just focus on how romantic those feelings and emotions are...

    A realistic drama, isn't it??

most of the supporting role scenes I skipped towards main theme... going very slowly as I'm at 4th... I feel like Do I need to watch those unnecessary repeated memory regaining concepts and trivial exaggerated dramatic dialogues ... and I'm like ... hey, stop this non-sense... come to the point with the assumption that I've already have a clue of that intensities from the female lead...
