1. Brings back youthful memories
Yeah, this movie certainly makes you remember all the things you and your school friends did years back–including those embarrassing memories you buried deep within your brain. LOL. Nice throwback trigger to the time you ecstatically cheered your crush on or helped your friend passed their love letters (or even your letter) or you cursed together your teacher from being too strict.
2. Remember Meteor Garden?
Since we are already doing the “throwback” game, who would have forgotten about Meteor Garden? A smash-hit Taiwanese TV series that centers around an ordinary girl Shancai and rich-and-handsome-but-arrogant boy Dao MingSi. They share the same feels. Hsu Taiyu and Dao Mingsi share the same personality, except that Hsu Taiyu was not really that rich like Dao MingSi and not really as dumb as him. Lin Chenshin is also not as openly revolting against Hsu Taiyu’s bullying but shares the same bravery when protecting their love ones.
3. Do you also remember That Thing Called Love?
This also shares familiarity with That Thing Called Love in a way where they both tried to help the other catch their crushes’ hearts. Fake smiles. Fake love. If only they have been honest from the start.
4. Inspires you to be someone that is not labeled based on anything but of who you are, because you deserve it.
One of the scenes that really get to me is the part where Lin Chenshin and their friends indirectly defended Hsu Taiyu in front of the whole school during their awarding ceremony, citing that they should not be labeled on how they fared their school exams or what grades they got.
5. Makes you love your friends more.
Yeah, it made me feel even more appreciative and loving towards my friends. This is a friendship movie, too, so it is just right enough to feel that after watching it. We cannot avoid falling but we should not be scared of it. Whatever decisions we make is our own responsibility and that we should not blame ourselves for other people’s decisions. We change ourselves to trap ourselves in that guilty prison or just to escape painful reality but we can always change back to who we really are… and we have our friends around to support us in our way.

- the male lead!! bad bois in general are cliche, and most often, these bad bois are bad JUST BECAUSE. which is not totally impossible in real life but in dramas, they're quite boring. hsu tai yu was a bad boi, but not he was not always like this, and we saw why he turned out like this. his character had depth and i really liked it. (( bonus, i'm a sucker for "bad bois" who are actually very smart ))- the two leads helped each other a lot. we saw this when lin truly made hsu taiyu realize that he had no fault for what happened in the past, and also hsu tai yu helping lin truly study better. and that when hsu tai yu carried the burden of being scolded instead of her. OR THAT TIME LIN TRULY STOOD UP FOR HIM. i could go on and on, but they really do help each other a lot.
- HSU TAI YU'S CONFESSION TO OUIYANG :(((( it's such a beautiful confession and i wished lin truly heard it herself. he really liked her so much that he didn't care if she never liked him the same way. not to mention that he actually helped her with her crush
- their meeting after 877776432 years was really cute. though unrealistic, it was really adorable!!!
- maybe i cried a couple of times during the move

Rewatch value is 100000/10
Rewatched the movie a number of times, and loved the story each time. Our Times was one of the first few Taiwanese movies I had watched. And, led me to discover other dramas and movies similar to such.Tai Yu's character is indeed memorable. Although he was not a perfect character, his development was amazing! He remembered everything that Truly mentioned (even the tiniest details). Hence, Tai Yu became the standard.
The movie itself involved various elements that can make you shed tears and even let out a good laugh.

Every single second of the movie made my heart stop. The soundtrack and the music, even just the backing sounds made my heart leap for joy.
Darren Wang is so incredibly handsome and so cool in this movie, that I could have died. And I adore the female lead so much and will forever treasure her in my heart.
I don't agree that this movie is a feel good. The ending made me feel incredible - but as a person already feeling incredibly lonely at the time, I was in years and speechless once the movie was over.
I cannot describe the feeling, really. But the only thing I can say is this movie made me feel like I was walking on sunshine and air.
Our Times is incredible and one of the most memorable asian movies I have ever seen, along with Koizora, He Was Cool and My Little Bride.
Please watch this. It changed my mind, quite literally.

I cried but its my favorite Taiwan (asia) movie.
Well i dont know if i was going through a lot in my life when I watched this, but i cried. I guess im gonna spoiling a little bit, maybe, but the ended got me, like they could've been together for years, but due to a little misunderstanding they couldn't.Maybe im a little cheesy when it comes to watching movies and dramas, but I really like how the story got developed (until they lost years for not being clear about their feelings, but at the end, i guess it was a happy ending) i mean, im a big fan for the plot enemies to friends to lovers and even if they weren't enemies at all at the beginning, I guess they weren't friends so this dinamic got me waiting for the moment where they would be aware of their feelings.
Anyways, if yout are thinking of either watch it or not, it must be a completely GO FOR THE MOVIE. If you are a dumb romcom fan you must do it.

The chemistry is Damm amazing. They were even ready to give up their life for each other. This is actually a true love!! It made me cry. Finally at last they met again.
The acting cast was Damm gudd especially main lead. Vivian sung gave her best . I watch this movie bcz of her after watching Chinese drama proud of love. Her acting is quite good. Male actor was very amazing. he actually performs every scene with great expression.
Everyone should watch it♥️

Sometimes those who are meanest to you, might not actually be really mean. They just do not know how to get your attention and that is the only way. Definitely a must-watch, even for those who are in their forties.
The director of this show has created many movies/dramas and they are all worth the watch!

MY FAVORITE MOVIE
Our Times is one of my favorite movies of all time. I have re-watched it several times, it has become a comfort watch for me.The main actors Vivan Sung and Darren Wang are so amazing and I love the characters. The clumsy, not so bright girl and the bad boy such a perfect combo for an amazing story beginning!
It is the perfect light hearted romance movie.
I think there are some really great life lessons as well, there is quite a bit of character development especially for Tsu Tai Yu. Although he acts mean on the outside we begin to see there is much more to him.
The ending is also extremely cute and has the perfect details added. On the first watch I had totally forgotten about the beginning scene and so the ending was so unexpected and perfect that I couldn't help but love the movie.
Some people may say that Out Times quite cliche, and to that I say, who cares? haha. It is the perfect cliche romcom that I live for!

i cried overnight when rewatching this
i watch this for the first time when i was in junior high school, but i don’t get it why’s people are cryin like crazy, so i rewatch it last night, and turns out i cried like a fool? literally i don’t get the message from Hsu Taiyu 6 years ago, idk if he already in love with Truly first, and just using Minmin as an excuse to get closer with Truly, i feel like he’s the one that really cares for her, and he is the best man ever?? i’ll crying over and over again when i telling everyone about it, especially he always remembered everything about her, and always keep his words, for the seconds time i regret that i don’t watch it more than 1 times, here’s my love for you my Talu Wang?Was this review helpful to you?
Sometimes we all need a good cliche in our lives
This movie was cliche in every sense of the word, yet it never feels bad in any way, if anything, its the same 'cliches' that really complete this movie. The way It uses old cliches we've seen over and over again and presents them in such a great way that they don't feel like tired tropes, but instead fresh ones, is so great. Not once did I feel bored watching the movie no matter how 'predictable' the plot can become, and that's all in part because of the terrific performance between the 2 main leads. Darren plays the bad boy persona soo well, he's a true heartthrob which works perfectly well (seriously, the way he smirks gives me heart eyes every time) and Vivian was a natural in this role. The way she plays the quirky unpopular girl and it not being forced was great. Place these 2 great actors with even greater chemistry and you have the recipe to a wonderful romantic comedy film.And that's what this is, a wonderful feel good romantic comedy film. Seriously, give it a shot. I promise you'll enjoy it.

I'm totally drowning in this movie.The 'now' part at the beginning is good for the prelude, but the 90's part is what it's all about. Start from the most popular boy at school is always a basketball player (I don't understand why it is so true ^o^) until a girl never told her true feeling. If they say they're ok, then the real meaning is that they're not ok ^_~
The plot is not something very new, but this movie provide such a roller coaster emotions. You laugh, you get mad, you hate some people, you happy, you cry a lot (or at least me who cry a lot). This movie also taught you that not everything we think and plan will come true, not everything you want will you get.
I'll make a confession. I cry on conversation between Tsu Tai Yu and Ouyang Fei Fan when they're at the camp location. Then I cry a lot when Lin Zhen Xin listening to Tsu Tai Yu voice record. That record and Hebe Tian's song is really an extreme blow for me.
Back to the 'now', I'm happy that Lin Zhen Xin can meet her idol...two of her idol if I can say. But it's still hurt me a little to know that they should do a long detour until they can meet each other.
In the end, me, for sure, will watch this movie again ^_^
